This was perfect. He was up against the hero student with the highest score on the entrance exam. Still Jason was the last fight of the first round so he had to wait. Midoriya was first and he was excited to see what he had to offer. He knew that Midoriya had a strength quirk and from what he overheard it was comparable to All Might. The match started and Shinso began talking. When Midoriya responded he stopped in his tracks and stood completely still until Shinso gave a command. That's when Jason realized that this was a battle of wills. Shinso obviously had some kind of mental quirk that was activated by talking. Midoriya was trapped in it and now would have to wrestle control back before it resulted in his loss. Not very flashy but Jason kept watching; interested to see who had the stronger will. Midoriya began walking out of bounds as the announcers explained to the crowd what was going on. It seems that Shinso has the strongest will so far. However at the last second Midoriya used his quirk to break his fingers snapping out of his trance. Turning around quickly, Midoriya covers his mouth to stop himself from responding before running to Shinso and throwing him out the ring. As the first match came to a close Jason decided to go congratulate Midoriya.

When Midoriya came back he found Jason sitting in his seat talking to everyone. "Hey Midoriya. Congrats on winning. How's your fingers?" Jason said. "Oh it's fine but what are you doing over here?" Midoriya asked. "I just came over to congratulate you on winning." Jason responded. Just then the announcers announced the start of the next match. "Crap. Do you guys mind if I stay here for this match?" Jason asked. The match was incredibly quick. Torodoki shot out a massive glacier and encased his opponent, Sero. "Well that was over quickly. I'm going to head back to the support section." Jason said. The next match was similarly quick as a blond with electric abilities named Denki Kaminari up against Ibara Shiozaki, a girl with vines for hair. In the end it was Kaminari's arrogance that defeated him. He released all his power in on blast and had no backup plan when Shiozaki used her vines as insulation. At the same time she used her vines to dig under the arena before shooting up through the ground wrapping around Kaminari and completely immobilizing her opponent. After that the match was over and the next match was about to begin. Iida walked out and he was wearing some of Mei's tech. Jason sighed and said, "Come on Mei. We talked about this. It would have been better to just win the match." For over ten minutes Mei toyed with Iida showing off all of her gadgets and tech. Once Mei had showed off all of her tech she stepped out the ring giving Iida the win. Next up was Uraraka. She was against her classmate Momo Yaoyorozu. The match began and Uraraka started by running at Yaoyorozu. She responded by making a staff and hitting Uraraka with it. Uraraka grabbed the staff and with a surprising amount of strength, ripped it out of Yaoyorozu's hands. As Yaoyorozu made another staff Uraraka struck her with the staff she stole. Despite her ferocity it was obvious that Uraraka had no idea what she was doing with the staff. Yaoyorozu on the other hand was clearly skilled as she dodged, blocked or parried most Uraraka's strikes. However, some of Uraraka's strikes were landing and her aggressiveness kept Yaoyorozu on the defensive. She was completely caught off guard when Uraraka dropped the staff and grabbed Yaoyorozu. Using her quirk Uraraka picked up Yaoyorozu and threw her out of bounds. Winning the match.

In contrast to the last two fights this one was exceedingly quick. Ashido used her acid to skate around and avoid Aoyama's laser before getting in close and knocking him out with an uppercut. It was clear that Aoyama had no endurance or fighting skill. How someone like that made it into the hero course was beyond him. The next match was between two people with very similar quirks. Eijiro Kirishima had the ability to harden his skin into a rock-like substance while Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu could turn his skin into steel. The match quickly devolved into a slug match that went on for an agonizing ten minutes. Blow after blow landed as they pushed the other back before they reeled and struck back. They clearly lacked skill as every time they tried to block they held it too rigidly and the other one landed the punch. Finally they both threw one more punch at the same time and they both collapsed at the same time. The referee calls it a draw stating that the victor will be decided by arm wrestling. And now it was Jason's turn.

Bakugo was standing in the arena waiting for his opponent. Seriously what was taking this guy so long. He had better things to do than sit and wait for some extra to get over himself and lose. "Just call the match he obviously isn't coming. He's too scared." Bakugo said. But before the referee could say anything they both heard the sound of heavy metal steps. Bakugo watched as from the other side of the arena a twelve foot tall mech walked out onto the field. It was painted in a desert camo and it looked like a G1 Megatron right down to the fusion cannon. The only difference was the head, cannon, and the left hand. The head looked like some kind of knight's helmet, while the cannon looked like it could collapse into itself. The left hand was a claw instead of a hand. It was obviously not human, which made Bakugo furious. "Why does he get to use that damn thing?!" Bakugo yelled. "Because I'm in the support course. Anything I build is fair game," Jason said. "Fine, I'll just crush you and that tin can!" Bakugo yelled. "You can try." Jason said. As soon as the match began Bakugo rocketed over to Jason's mech launching a massive explosion covering the whole mech in smoke. As Bakugo landed he assumed he already won. There was no way that thing survived an explosion of that size. No way that someone not in the hero course could stand a chance against him. And that was when a massive fist came out of the smoke and struck him in the gut. The wind was instantly knocked out of him and he was sent across the arena. Stopping himself just before he went out of bounds, he stood up to see the giant behemoth walk out of the smoke with its massive cannon leveled at him. Bakugo jumped out of the way just in time as he heard something slam into the concrete where he just was. However he felt something slam into his chest. The claw hand had been shot out and grabbed hold of him. Reeling him, Bakugo tried to break the cable with his explosions but they did nothing. At the last second it let go of him and he used an explosion to propel him away from the mech's other fist. Jumping around Bakugo peppered it with explosions but all it did was peel away some paint revealing the silver metal underneath. Using his superior agility Bakugo continued to avoid the mech's attacks but he started getting predictable. The cannon arm slammed into him knocking him to the floor. Before he could get up a massive foot pressed down on top of him pinning him in place. With the cannon once again pointed at him, he knows he can't win. He can't win? No Bakugo refuses to accept that. FeelIng a dark determination come over him he blasts at the mech's other foot, not aiming for it but the fragile concrete underneath. The Mech lost its footing as Bakugo pulled himself free. As He regained his footing Jason prepared to engage Bakugo but he didn't. Something about Bakugo's demeanor was putting him off. It felt like something had snapped in Bakugo. Like he was a cornered animal, on his last leg but desperate and even more dangerous. Jason knew that he had to be more careful from now on. Then Bakugo spoke. "I want to win. I will win!" He rushed forward with even more power than he showed before and launched a massive explosion which, while not damaging the Mech, did push it back. As Bakugo let loose explosion after explosion Jason had the mech dig its heels in. Aiming his cannon in the direction the explosions were coming from he fired and the shot rang true. A rubber bullet the size of a tank round slammed into Bakugo and sent him flying. Keeping up the momentum the mech ran at Bakugo's shoulder bashing him before smashing him into the ground with both fists. As Bakugo struggled to get up Jason punched him in the chest. While Bakugo's resolve was strong, his body just couldn't hold up to the onslaught of attacks from the massive mech. Still he stood back up only to be knocked down again. Jason was getting worried. He knew he could win, he had tested the Mech himself. But he was worried that if this kept up he would kill Bakugo from exhaustion. "Ref this is too much. It's obvious that he can't beat me and if he keep going I could kill him," Jason said. Still Bakugo gets up, refusing to lose. The ref looks at Bakugo at tells Jason "Bakugo can still fight it would disrespectful to end this early." Jason says "Fine! But if he dies it's on your head not mine!" Jason launches the claw arm but Bakugo knocks it back with an explosion. Both opponents run at each other preparing one final attack. The mech pulls its fist back while Bakugo prepares a

massive explosion. The outcome is obvious though. The mech is stronger and has taken less damage. It plants it's foot, breaking the concrete underneath, and throws a powerful left hook that goes right through Bakugo's explosion, breaking his arm with a sickening snap and sending him out of the arena. Jason is the winner.
