Third Person's POV
"Why do you think we came all the way here to Konohagakure?!" Gaara said looking at Kankuro
"P-please listen to me, Gaara. T-they lashed out first..." Kankuro said afraid.
Akira's brows knitted hearing that. Tch, he's the one who started it.
She looks again at the boy named Gaara. She got alert sensing the subtle killing intent. He would really kill his own teammate?
"I'm sorry..." Kankuro said sincerely to Gaara.
"I'm sorry about that..." Gaara said looking at Sasuke and then he averts his eyes to the other Konoha genins.
Naruto and Sakura tense, when Gaara looked at them. Akira squints her eyes, observing the Shinobi. What's that Chakra... She only knows a few people who have that amount of Chakra in them.
Gaara looks at Sasuke. To think he was able to hit that Kankuro with a tiny rock with great ease. Then he averts his eyes to the purple-eyed genin. Without using any chakra, she was able to move that fast and effortlessly... These two are really fascinating.
Akira's eyes followed Gaara's movement as he transported to the ground. This guy... what is he? How come his teammates is so afraid of him?
"Let's go. We didn't come here to play around" Gaara said turning to his team. His teammates follow, afraid that Gaara will really kill them.
"Hold it!" Sakura said as she run forward.
"Judging from your headbands, you're ninjas from Sunagakure, right?" She continued.
"Without questions, the Land of Fire and Land of Wind are allied nations. But the arbitrary coming and going of Shinobi is supposed to be prohibited by the treaty. State your purpose! Depending on circumstances..." Sakura said making them look back at them.
"Hmph! So this is what they mean by the darkest place being under the candlestick. Don't you know anything about it?" The girl said.
"My permit! As you say we're Sand village genins from the Land of Wind. We came to this village to take the Chunin Exam." The girl continued showing them her permit.
So that's why the Village has been busy these days. Chunin Exam huh..., Akira thought with amusement.
"What is the Chunin Exam anyways-dattebayo?" Naruto said confused. Just what are they talking about?
Akira's brow twitches at that. Did Naruto really didn't know that?
The girl crossed her arms and smirks at them. "You really don't know anything, do you?"
"Bro, if you pass the exam, you can be a Chunin from a Genin!" Konohamaru said.
Akira sighed. Even Konohamru knows it... Maybe she should really force Naruto to read some books, too.
"I see! Then, maybe I'll try taking them!" Naruto said excitedly.
Akira looked back at the shinobi in front of them, who started to walk away from them. Well, that's if their Sensei would allow their team to join the Chunin Exam.
Sasuke jumps down from the tree "Hey! You there... What's your name?"
The girl turns around very quickly a blush on her face. "Huh? M-me?"
"No! The gourd next to you!" Sasuke said pointing at the red-haired kid.
"I'm Gaara of the desert..." Gaara said turning around to face them again.
"I have an interest in the both of you as well... What's your name?" Gaara said looking at Sasuke.
"Uchiha Sasuke" Sasuke said with a smirk.
Gaara then averts his eyes to Akira.
Akira just looks at him, brows knitted. Is he looking at me?
"Oh, do you also want to know my name. My name-" Naruto said with a smile.
"I'm not interested in you. The purple-eyed one, what's your name?" Gaara said, making Naruto's smiles drop.
Akira's brows raised "Akira." She simply said. She wanted to get out of there. Especially the guy has a nasty look.
Gaara stares at both Sasuke and Akira. They both looked back, as if measuring each other's strengths and skills. Gaara and his team turn their back on them and jumps.
Kankuro smirks. That purple-eyed kid actually looks cute, to say the least.
Akira follows them as they jump from house to house. Chunin Exam... Would their Sensei join them?
"Konohamaru, do I look weak?" Naruto said getting Akira's attention.
"Compared to Sasuke-niichan and Akira-neechan, yes..." Konohamaru said making Naruto stand up.
"Sasuke, I won't lose to you-dattebayo!" Naruto said, then he turns towards Akira.
"Akira-ttebayo!" He said shaking her.
"Ahh, what?" Akira said shoving him away.
"Teach me ways to be cool, you know, being mysterious-dattebayo!" Naruto said still shaking her.
Akira's brow twitches. "That may be too late now, besides I don't know how." Akira said shoving him away completely. Naruto's shoulder dropped at that.
Konohamru and his friend look at Akira their eyes twinkling.
"W-what?" Akira said sweat on her forehead. That look... She is really familiar with that.
"Teach us some awesome things. Just like what you did earlier-kore" Konohamaru said as they walk forward to Akira.
Akira backs away from them. What the hell...
"Err- bye-bye." Akira said running away from them.
"Wait Akira-ttebayo!" "Leader nee-chan, wait" Naruto and Konohamaru and his friends said chasing Akira.
Akira just run with a sweatdropped. Damn, she feels like she is being chased like the people in Horror movies. It gives her the creeps.
*At the Hokage Tower*
"See Iruka you shouldn't worry about them too much..." The Hokage said, as they all looked at the crystal ball.
Asuma sweatdropped at that. Kakashi's team already makes an enemy.
"But, Akira and Sasuke were different from the other two..., especially Naruto. They just graduated from the Academy. I don't think you should let them join the Chunin exam. It's still too early for them" Iruka said looking at the crystal ball, the image already fading.
"I became a chunin when I was six years younger than Naruto is now." Kakashi said, making Iruka annoyed.
"Naruto is different from you! Is it your intent to crush Naruto?!" Iruka shouts as he walks forward.
"They always do nothing but complain about important missions... Teaching them a lesson once would be fun. Trying to crush them would be interesting, too" Kakashi said very calmly.
"W-What did you say?!" Iruka said getting more annoyed
"Well, joking aside...Iruka-sensei...I understand what you want to say. It's aggravating, I know. However" Kakashi said looking at Iruka.
"Stay out of this! They're not your students anymore! Now they're my subordinates!" Kakashi said sternly. Besides he knows more about Akira... The thought of it made his heart race, remembering all the Hokage said to him.
Asuma sweatdropped. Man... troublesome people but he can't help to get interested in Kakashi's team. Naruto, Sasuke, Akira, Sakura... making trouble just the first time seeing their possible opponents, huh.
"B-But the Chunin Exam is also known as..." Iruka said frustrated.
"Iruka...I understand your point. Therefore, I have decided to conduct a special preliminary exam for these rookie Genins." The Hokage said making them shocked.
"This is the permit for the Chunin-Exam, you may all now leave except Kakashi, Iruka!" The Hokage said making the two look at him.
Asuma glance at Iruka and Kakashi and pat their shoulders. Just what are these two getting at... causing trouble and all. He sighed and leave the two.
Kakashi and Iruka turned to look at the Hokage, confused.
"Iruka, I want you to test the rookie genin except for Akira" The Hokage said making Iruka confused.
"B-but, why?" Iruka said with concern
"Kakashi, you're the one who's going to test Akira..." The Hokage said making Kakashi look at him with a slight glimmer in his eye.
The Hokage smoke from his pipe. "There's a possibility that Akira will have to take the chunin Exam alone." The Hokage said, making the two look at him in shock.
"Hokage-sama?" Iruka said. What? Akira taking the chunin exam alone... the chunin exam is dangerous and deadly.
"You know that there's a rule in the chunin exam that the team must contain only three members... It's been so long since we have a team consisting of four genins..." The Hokage said with a sigh.
"But, Akira will not be able to do it alone, the chunin exam is really deadly, Hokage-sama" Iruka said full of concern.
"Since there are no other available genins... Akira needs to take it alone, or... one of the members of team 7 has to back out from taking the Chunin Exam. But knowing Akira she would rather be the one to back out, letting the three join... but she is most likely to take the chunin exam alone, you know her Iruka" The Hokage said making Iruka look at the floor.
"Then, if possible I will need to convince her-" Iruka said as his fist clenched.
Kakashi turns to look at Iruka, brows knitted. He should be the one who should decide that.
"No, That's why I want you Kakashi to test her, test her as hard as possible. Determine whether she will be able to take the chunin exam alone or not." The Hokage said making Iruka look at Kakashi.
Kakashi turns to look at the Hokage "Hai!" He said
Iruka looks at the floor again. He should have faith in Akira. She is not his student anymore... That's the only thing he can do, have faith in them.
"Iruka, Kakashi. You may leave now. Kakashi come here as soon as possible after you test her. I'm the one who is gonna tell her." The Hokage said as they both nodded and disappear.
The Hokage sighs. Akira... Sorry for making things hard for you, he thought resting his back on his chair.
-The next day-
"God, he's late again..." Akira said looking at her book. She was starting to see the words which call for a time-out or break, besides she can't really concentrate, she is still thinking of the chunin exam. But their Sensei is just really taking his time getting into their assigned meeting place.
"Say! Say! Say! Why is it that he's the one who always calls us out, then makes us wait?!" Sakura said looking at Akira, a tick mark on her forehead.
"Ah, I don't know..." Akira said with a sigh
"That's right! That's right!" Naruto said bumping Akira's shoulder slightly when he steps forward to face Sakura.
Akira walks towards Sasuke who is seemingly thinking. "What do you think of the chunin exam?" Akira said leaning on the railing of the bridge.
Sasuke looks at her "I don't know" Sasuke said as he averts his eyes to the water. "I want to get a permit" He continued.
Akira looks at him and nodded. That look... She just sighs and looks at the river just like Sasuke. She can hear the other two shouting at each other. God, she hopes that she has that much energy... especially this early in the morning.
"Hey, good morning, folks!" The familiar voice said. Naruto and Sasuke turn to look at their Sensei annoyed.
"Today, I got lost on the path of life..." Kakashi said apologetically to his students.
"Right! That's a lie!" Sakura and Naruto both shout.
Kakashi sweatdropped at that and jumps down in front of them. He just needed to give them this permit for the chunin exam.
"Uh, well... This is sudden, but I recommended you guys for the Chunin Exam, so... Here, these are your applications." Kakashi said giving them their permit.
Naruto looked at the application his eyes twinkling. He really can get the chunin exam?!
"That being said, the recommendations are not compulsory. You guys are free to decide whether you take the Exam or not" Kakashi continued looking at his students. His eyes stop and lock on purple eyes. Akira taking the chunin exam alone... The thought of it makes his heart race, the unknown feeling filling his heart. He sighs and looks at the other team members who are looking at the applications.
Naruto looks up at their Sensei "All right! I love you, Kakashi Sensei!" He said jumping on his Sensei very excitedly.
"Hey, cut it out. Get away already..." Kakashi said pushing Naruto away from him. Naruto obligates immediately and looks at his application again.
Akira looks at their Sensei. What is he concerned about? Did she do something wrong? Ohh, maybe the Hokage see them yesterday..., she thought. She sweatdropped at that.
"Only those who want to take the exam, sign that application and come to Room 301 of the Academy at 3:00 pm. Five days from now... That's it" Kakashi said making them all nod.
"Chunin Exam! Chunin Exam!" Naruto said repeatedly.
"Starting from now on we will not have any missions. I want you all to prepare for the Chunin exam that's if you want to join" Kakashi said then he averts his eyes to Akira.
"That's all, you guys are dismiss!" He said then he disappeared
Akira's brow twitches. "So...that's all we wait for two hours..." She said sighing.
She crossed her arms and look at the other members. Naruto is just looking at the paper his eyes full of excitement. Sasuke is having a smirk. Sakura is having doubtful expressions looking at all of them.
Akira and Sakura's eyes lock. Akira tilts her head when Sakura quickly averts her eyes. Akira walks up to her. "Sakura?..." Akira said but Sakura just looks at the ground with concern
"Come on, don't doubt it. I know you can handle the Chunin exam. Besides this is a way for us to improve and learn new things" Akira said patting her back slightly for comfort.
Sakura looks up at her a smile appearing on her lips. That's right, she needed to do this. This is the only way she will be able to improve and get an experience. Even if she doesn't pass, that's okay with her. At least she tried, she shouldn't be scared.
"Right, Thak you Akira," Sakura said smiling at Akira. Akira returns the smile, a really genuine smile.
-The next day-
Akira opens her eyes and gazes at their apartment ceiling. She looks at the other bed and saw no one.
"Oh...that's new, he woke up early" Akira said to herself. She looked back at the ceiling. What should she do? They will not have any missions until the chunin exam... Maybe she should train. Well, she'll just train tomorrow, she will just spend this day here in their apartment.
Akira sat up on her bed and look around. She sighs with contempt looking at their apartment.
"Maybe I should do this first..." She said as she stands up. She fixes her bed and then she starts picking up the trash on their floor. Most of it was scrolls. Really, Naruto read these scrolls that really new. He must have really excited about the Chunin exam.
She put it on the proper place and throw the trash in the trash can. She went to pick up something near her drawer when she saw a piece of paper.
"What's this?" She said opening the paper.
'Akira, don't find or wait for me later. I'm just going to train, don't be too worried. I promise I'll behave.' -Your little Naru
Akira's brow twitches at that. Behave? Him? That's really unlikely to happen. She just sigh and put the paper down again on her drawer.
She chuckles. She can almost hear Naruto saying what's written on the note to her, looking very excited.
"Well, guess I'll be alone for the day" She said walking to their bathroom.
-skip-
Akira looks up the clock. It's now 3:00 in the afternoon. Like she said she didn't bother to go outside, beside she have nothing to do outside. She's just reading her book and some scrolls she got from the library yesterday. All of these just make her head hurt, really.
She lets go of the scroll and slumps to the floor with a sigh. She actually knows the things written on the scroll. She wanted to practice some Jutsu, but she didn't have any energy to do it today.
There was a knock on their window making her sit up and look at it, confused. What is it?
She stands up and walks towards their window. Her eyebrow knitted seeing a dog with a Konoha hitai-ate.
"Don't stare at me. Let me in." The dog said rudely making her eyebrow twitch again. She opens the window and the dog just jumps inside and shakes his body.
"Oi! Not on my bed." Akira said trying to shove the dog away. Who's dog is even this? This is a summon, right?
"Do you have water?" The dog said looking around as he sits on Akira's bed not really caring at the purple eye looking at him.
"Err- Yeah..." Akira said walking up to their sink to give the dog water. She puts the water down on the floor which the dog quickly drinks.
"umm...who are you?" Akira said making the dog stop.
The dog looks at her as if he's judging her existence.
"Not to be rude... but I really don't know you, you know" Akira said sitting on the bed. Just when she thought she can have a rest.
The dog jumps on the bed and tilts its head. "Don't you remember me?"
"Huh? Should I know you?" Akira said brow twitching. Really who's summon is this?
"Pakkun. Kakashi's hound" The dog said as he lays down.
"Ahh, so why are you here?" Akira said wanting to shove the dog away from her bed.
"Oh right! I forgot" Pakkun said as he put his paw on Akira's lap. He really forgot that he needed to bring something to Akira. He just feels comfortable in her presence in some way.
Akira looked at the piece of paper that is tied up on the dog's leg. She looks at the dog making sure that it is really for her. Pakkun just looks at her waiting.
She grabs the paper and opens it.
'Meet me at the training ground sixteen at 5:00 pm'

Akira's brows twitch at that. What the hell...
Pakkun leans forward wondering what the notes say. His eye twitches seeing the signature name written on it. So that's why Kakashi was chuckling earlier. He didn't know Kakashi was that corny.
Akira crumbled the paper and toss it to who knows where. Akira looked at the dog beside her and raise her eyebrow.
"Why are you still here?" Akira said with a smile.
Pakkun wanted to bite her hand. Why is she giving him that fake smile? He is a dog but a different kind which means he's really smart compared to the other dogs, he thought smugly.
"Kakashi said that I just stay with you until you guys meet up..." The dog said plopping down on the bed again.
Akira stared at the dog dumbfounded. Eh? Really? He's not kidding?
"And I'm not kidding." Pakkun said
Akira just sigh. She didn't have the energy to argue to a dog and know why. Man, she thought she will have a rest. Just what in the world does her Sensei need from her?
