Chapter 6: Meet Nothing and Rebirth
After getting everything ready for the past two days, Lelouch and Kiryu had been a good amount busy of late but were ready. The exiled prince was able to get the new attire for them from a costume shop maker who owns but had to use his Geass and cover up his tracks. The shop maker had a bad habit of getting himself into bad debts with nobles and has the black-haired teen playing for him in chess matches. Hence why used his Geass and coverup up the tracks in case the shop maker gets into trouble.
Now the pair are boarding the train, waiting for Kallen and the rebels to come. Kiryu had left the phone at the Old Toyko Tower's Observation Platform and had the front desk lady give the said phone to Kallen, stating that she forget it and a good friend was returning it. Lelouch then called the redhead and have them board a train very soon.
"I have said it before and I would say it again, you genius can be sometimes scary," Kiryu commented as he begin to change into his new attire, both of them are on the last crat of the said train.
Lelouch had Geass the people on the train to go about their business and not pay attention to them or the Japanese that come onto the train. Once they leave, they would be released and go about the rest of their day.
Luckily the pair didn't have to worry about school since Ashford was being on hold in the time of mourning for the loss of Prince Clovis. This gives them a few days to act on and off the radar to their edge.
"Huh, I was never told of that," Lelouch said, not recalling anyone commenting about his intelligence.
"Well, now you have," Kiryu said while seeing how his new attire was well made and followed perfectly the design he requested.
"Hmm," Lelouch struggled his shoulders and begin to get ready in his new attire as well.
"Ready?"
"Ready...the curtain begins to rise up. The die is not cast yet but it would be soon."
Small Time Skip
We now see Kallen, still wearing her academy uniform and her hair still down but her eyes no longer have that sick feeling. They had that fire burn within them and a strong desire to fight. Not so far away, about half away into other crat, Ohgi & others were watching from afar. They are waiting for those who wanted to have a meeting with them and had questions, a lot of them.
Not one of the rebels noicted the passages didn't noicted them but went about their own thing and had this faint of red around their eyes. Not one of them noticed as their focus and attention were on something else.
Then the phone rings, getting Kallen's attention, and answers it, "We're here. Where are you?"
"Just wait, Q-1. Now, face forward and look to your right. Tell me what you see?" The mystery voice informed her, sounding dark and echo tone in his voice.
Frowning but Kallen did so. She saw Britannian Settlement, prompting a surge of loathing to rise up within her.
"Hmm, I see the Britannian City. It was stolen from us and built on our sacrifices," Kallen said, doing her best to keep her voice low but with little effect.
"And on the left?" He added.
"I see our city, the remnants of a desiccated city after Britannians sucked it dry," Kallen replied, now sounding slightly angry, and saw the sight of the Ghettos, being crumbling buildings and assorted rubble left over from the war.
"Good answer...make your way to the front of the train, your escorts too. We shall explain everything," A new voice informed, sounding mysterious and yet more welcome than his counterpart.
Kallen was surprised by that and blinked. There are two of them but then remember two days what the caller told her about him and his parnter would come. Meaning there are two of them that helped them. She then looked back at Ohgi, jerking her head to follow her and the group to the front of the train.
Ohgi, Tamaki, Sugiyama, and Inoue followed Kallen, staying behind her and walking by the passages, not even noticing how strange they were acting nor the red circles around their eyes. They reach towards the front of the train, the last crate that was empty but only two unknown figures standing with their back towards them.
The first on the left, the figure was covered in a long black cloak with golden edging and a cape concealed the figure.
The second on the right, the figure was covered in a long black cloak with red & some golden edging and a cape concealed the figure but on the back of the said cloak & the cape had this yellow bird symbol & wings on the side.
"Are you two that called us?" Kallen asked to get their attention but didn't answer or turn around.
"Oi!" Tamaki called out.
"Did you two help us in Shinjuku?" Ohgi asked.
"Hey! Asnwer us!" Sugiyama called out.
As soon the train goes through a tunnel, the crate becomes semi-dark and on time, the two turn around to face the group and surprised them greatly with what was facing them. They have the flair for the dramatic and the group felt a bit intimidated like two predators were staring at them.
The first wore a dark purple bodysuit with golden designs on them underneath his cloak & cape, purple/black gloves, and purple boots. The inside of the cape showed to be dark red in color.
The last part of his attire was his mask was black and indigo, having five spikes on the sides & rear. A golden bird-like symbol was emblazoned on the chin area of the said mask. Around his neck was an elegantly white cravat tied.
The second wore a black combat shirt with red markings, black pants, black gloves, black boots with red edges to them, and had a katana on the left side of his hip.
The last part of his attire was his mask was black and flaming red, having five spikes on the sides & rear. A golden bird-like symbol is more a part of the mask and actually a bird staring at them. He had a high collar instead of a white cravat like his partner.
They are Zero (Lelouch) and Phoenix (Kiryu), something new to change everything and their first debut begins very soon.
"Welcome, Resistance Fighters," Phoenix greeted.
"What do you think of our tour?" Zero asked.
"Tour?" Inoue questioned.
"Are these guys for real?" Sugiyama asked.
"Why the hell are they wearing a freaking mask?" Tamaki asked.
"We are serious and want to make sure you realize the difference," Phoenix said on time, Zero extended his left arm toward the Britannia Settlement.
"The Settlement, built on corpses and sacrifices who fought to preserve the very memory of Japan," Zero started, causing Phoenix to extend his right towards the ruined Shinjuku Ghetto.
"And the ghetto, a desolate remain of a continuously decaying and being bled dry," Phoenix finished.
"Yeah, we know. That's why we resist them," Oghi said as he step forward.
"What you call 'resisting' is nothing more than childless. Britannian Empire won't fall so easy to terrorism," Zero said.
"We are not terrorists!" Kallen snapped and others agree but stopped when Phoenix raise his hand up like to listen further.
"He didn't say all of you are terrorists but your actions would say otherwise. You stole poison gas from the army and the whole media to people calls that terrorist. Rebellion is what needs to be done," Phoenix explained.
"Quite right," Zero nodded his head in agreement.
"You stole poison gas and nearly caused the whole attention of Clovis, his royal guard, and almost all the army in the area onto you which almost lead to the massacre in Shinjuku. Lucky, my parnter and I happened to be in the area to aid you," Zero added.
"So you order the ceasefire?" Kallen guessed or like stated.
"That he did," Phoenix confirmed.
"Who kill Clovis?" One of them asked.
"That would be revealed later but just know that Suzaku wasn't the triggerman as there's a number of logic answers to say otherwise," Phoenix replied.
"Indeed which now comes to you all...Kozuki Resistance," Zero said, getting their attention highly.
"Us?" Almost all of them questioned.
"Yes and developments rising up as well," Phoenix added.
"That's easy to say for a couple of guys hiding behind a mask. Who are you?" Kallen asked, narrowing her eyes and others agreeing to that.
"Take off that mask."
"She's right. Are you going to show yourself?"
"Oh this would be good," Kiryu thought with a smirk.
"Who is but the form, following the function of what...and what we are, is men in a mask," Phoenix remarked.
"We can see that," Sugiyama glared.
"You think we are drum," Tamaki glared.
"Of course, you can see. My parnter wasn't questioning your all powers of sight or doubting your intelligence. He was merely remarking upon the paradox of asking two masked men, who they are," Zero pointed out.
"Oh right," Kallen said, feeling a bit surprised by that.
"Now you all ask to see our faces but instead, we shall show you all something else," Zero stated, capturing their attention onto them.
"Yes, we shall prove you all something. We shall stand against what the Purebloods have set up and prove that our fighting is not against civilians but rather against what Britannian Empire really is," Phoenix added, getting a bit puzzled.
"What's that?" Inoue asked.
"We shall show you our power and how we can expose the corruption that is rotting within those in high power such as the nobles, law & order, and military groups," Zero asnwered.
"The first showing...we shall save Suzaku Kururugi," Phoenix explained, surprising the rebels greatly and wondering if those two are insane.
"That's crazy. You two are crazy," Kallen stated.
Phoenix chuckled a little and said, "Yes, I quite imagine they'll say so."
"Indeed," Zero agreed.
The curtain is rising up and we shall see what our revolutionaries would do in their first debut that was coming soon.
