"This shouldn't have happened," Jackie whispered as Dale joined the rest of the group. That was when they heard the low growling and the shuffling of feet coming from the barn. They waited as two small feet appeared wearing dusty blue sneakers. The child walker was a little boy with dirty blond hair with a bad walker bite on his shoulder. Seeing him made the fact that they hadn't found Jack and Sophia hit home. They watched as the boy shuffled towards them before Rick walked forwards and shot the boy in the head.

"Mom!"

"Jackie! James!" They all quickly turned and stared at Jack and Sophia standing and smiling down at them from camp.

"Sophia..." Carol started sobbing before running to her daughter followed closely by Carl, James, and Jackie. Beth was crying behind them, but not from the joy of seeing her loved ones again. In her mind, they'd just killed her family.

"Dad!" Jackie, James, and Jack latched onto each other as Carol and Sophia had before hearing the familiar sounds of a walker growling and screams behind them. They small group turned to see Beth being pulled down to a walker while the others ran to help her.

"Pull her away, pull her away!" They got Beth away from the prying hands of the walker. T-Dog tried to stomp its head in while Glenn held it down. The small group watched Andrea grab a farm tool and swing it through the walker's skull, killing it. The Green family then made their way from the barn to the house with Shane riding their asses.

"We've been out combing these woods looking for these two, and look what we find in the barn." Rick ran after his best friend while we watched and listened to them. "You knew-"

"Leave us alone," Maggie ordered him.

"Come on, let's get some food into the two of you." Michael said and Jackie turned and stared at him for a second before nodding her head in agreement. We made our way to camp and got Dad and Sophia something to eat and watched the Greens and Shane argue.

"Hey, Shane, just stop, man."

"Get your hands off me."

"I-" Hershal started saying something, waving the men off, but Shane wasn't done.

"You knew that boy was in there. You knew and you kept everything from us." Kid walkers always hit harder, especially after Sophia had only just been found. That child could have been Sophia after all.

"I'll be right back." Jackie left her spot with her family and made her way to Rick and the others.

"I didn't know."

"That's bullshit. I think y'all knew."

"We didn't know!" Maggie yelled at him.

"Why were they there?!" Shane asked them.

"Your..." Hershal started saying. "Otis put those people in the barn. Maybe he found the boy and put him in there before he was killed."

"You expect me to believe that?" Shane asked him. "Do I look like an idiot?"

"You really want an answer to that?" Jackie asked him and he turned his anger on me.

"What you say to me?"

"Shane, hey hey hey." Rick got between the two of them and tried to calm him down.

"I don't care what you believe!" Hershall shouted at him.

"Everybody just calm down," Rick tried keeping the peace. "Please."

"Get him off my land!"

"No."

"Let me tell you something." Shane made a move for Hershall and Jackie get between the two of them as Maggie pushed him away from her dad.

"Hey, don't touch him!" Maggie slapped Shane and Glenn quickly pulled the older man away from her. "Haven't you done enough?"

"I mean it-" Hershall told us as his family went inside the house. "Off her land." Glenn went inside after them as Jackie turned to Shane.

"Great going, Shane. Just what we needed to make us all feel safe." Jackie hit him with her shoulder as Jackie walked past him to see Michael had followed me, but decided to stay with them.

"Being on the road won't be easy for Lori later in her pregnancy," Michael told Rick who just ran his hand through his hair in exasperation. "Especially keeping both her and the baby well fed." Michael turned and chose that moment to go back to camp with the rest of the group.

After the massacre at the barn, Sophia, Carol, and Carl, Jack, and James were in the RV eating and talking while everyone else was at the barn deciding what to do with the bodies and Rick joined them. Jimmy had chosen to help the wandering group out as best he could.

"Want us to start burying?" T-Dog asked Rick.

"We need a servince," Andrea answered. "The Greens deserve that."

"Yeah, we all deserve that when the time comes," T-Dog told her.

"Let's, um, let's dig a grave for Annette and Shawn," Lori ordered looking beyond the group for a place. "Over by those trees. And we'll need a truck to move the bodies."

"I'll get the key," Jimmy said going for the house.

"No." Shane held his hand out to stop the boy. "No. I got the truck."

"And the others?" Jimmy asked. "That's a lot of digging."

"We bury the ones we love," Andrea told him. "And burn the rest."

"Get to work," Lori ordered and the small group scattered to do as told quietly. They sorted though the pile of walkers and pulled Annette and Shawn out and layed them off to the side before covering them up with a blanket out of respect before finding shovels.

"Go be with your dad," Michael told Jackie placing his hand gently on her shoulder. "We got this."

"Yeah," Jackie nodded before doing as he suggested. Michael helped dig the graves from the Greens before they gently placed them inside and started covering them up again. The service was quiet and they each had a moment of silence before turning and going about the next job.

Dale, T-Dog, Andrea, and MIchael were loading up the dead when Rick made his way to them.

"A few more trips," Rick commented looking at the load they had and how many of the dead were left.

"We got lucky," Andrea told him and she and T-Dog loaded another into the truck. "If that barn had any more, we could've been overrun." T-Dog grunted as they dropped the last walker into the truck.

"Good thing Shane did what he did when he did."

"You can't tell me this was right," Dale said looking in shock at T-Dog.

"It wasn't," Rick insisted. "It'll cost us with Hershel."

"He's grieving," Andrea corrected Rick. "He'll come around, see we had no choice. Look, I shot too. This wasn't all Shane."

"Look, I got no quals about it," T-Dog told them. "Walkers in my backyard?" He made a negative sound.

"I'm not saying that we shouldn't have taken care of the problem, but creating a panic?!" Dale asked the small group.

"There's no point arguing about it." Lori said from behind Michael making him jump a touch. He hadn't noticed her walk up and join them. "It's done. There's nothing we can do about it."

"Better get moving." T-Dog told the group. Lori placed her hand on Dale's shoulder as she walked past him with Michael behind her.

"How you feeling?" He asked her.

"I'm good." Michael rolled his eyes at her answer.

"Look, traveling won't be easy on you now. Especially later down the road. Winter will probably be hard enough to find food, but being pregnant? That will just be harder on you than everyone else."

"You don't need to tell me like has gotten complicated from this." Lori turned, eyes flashing at the man. "This isn't a revelation for me."

"Guys!" Glenn ran down to the pair from the house in a mild panic. "It's Beth."

"Sweetie, can you hear me?" Michael heard Maggie say before he and Lori walked into the room. "What's wrong with her?" Maggie asked the doctor. Michael sat at Beth's bedside and took a good look at the young woman.

"Could be shock," he informed her.

"Where's Hershel?" Lori asked.

"We can't find him anywhere," Glenn told her.

"What medical supplies do you have?" Michael asked Maggie. "I'll see what I can do to help her." Maggie went for the medical supplies as Lori went to find Rick and tell him what happened.

Sorry this one is short compared to the others. I'm trying something different with how I write this one considering I have four different OCs. I also want to make it known that none of the are safe. I flip a coin during each major event for the group to see if they live or die.
