The next morning, Yoroi struggled to get out of bed. He didn't get much sleep because he came home late and was then still deep in thoughts. Still very sleepy, he went out of his room and was met with a sumptuous breakfast from Hanai.

"I have prepared a big breakfast for you, it must have been an exhausting day yesterday and you will need a lot of energy again today." Hanai greeted Yoroi with a smile and they ate breakfast together. Afterwards he brushed his teeth and put on his outfit. Jumping around to warm up, he then sprinted to the training ground. It was always a highlight to rush through the village, jumping over roofs, and the memories of the way he used to go to school and his old way of getting around kept coming back to him.

At the training ground he immediately started Taijutsu training, although he was alone, A had shown him how he could get better without help. By noon, Yoroi was already drenched in sweat and his hands didn't look too good. As one would expect from A, much of the training consisted of hitting a tree and so Yoroi sat down to bandage his hands.

"I brought food for you Yoroi." It was Nemui who greeted Yoroi.

"Uhh, I didn't expect that, thank you." Yoroi was perplexed and didn't quite know what to say.

"Dodai told me that after the events of the last few months you don't have so many friends anymore, so I thought we should do something. Oops, so I mean Urui and I, sorry we're long-time team partners, and I' m used to him being out with me."

For Yoroi the situation was a bit arkward, but nevertheless he enjoyed his meal with Nemui. They both talked about their lives and Yoroi realised more and more that he was getting back almost all of his memories and was instead forgetting more and more about his former life. 'I must make a note of the important things I know from the future story, I'm afraid I'll forget them.' After Yoroi made a note in his head, his training continued.

Nemui was kind enough to offer to fight him and so he actually improved directly in Taijutsu. The fighting style of A and B was completely different from that of most shinobi so it was very refreshing to fight or practice with someone else. After a few hours, however, his mission was due again and so he had to hurry across the village to the meeting point.

"Good luck and I hope you win." Nemui called after the running Yoroi.

This time Yoroi approached the target cautiously so as not to be recognised beforehand, the team consisting of two boys and a girl who were just taking a drinking break from their training. The girl was slim and had long hair that went down to her hips. The two boys looked identical and Yoroi concluded that they were probably twins. After all, they each had a bandana wrapped around their wrist which was blue on one and red on the other. Apart from that, he couldn't make any interesting observation and so he attacked the group directly with his own jutsu, aiming at their feet to kick up dust. 'Storm Release: Multiple Butterfly Storm' In a flash, dozens of butterflies flew out of the edge of the forest towards the group and it took them a moment to realise the gravity of the situation. Unfortunately, this brief hesistation was all it took and so the three did not escape the jutsu in time.

"Boom."

The three flew off in different directions and a large cloud of dust formed. Yoroi himself was surprised at how strong his Justu had become, but he had practised it often enough and now had larger chakra reserves. Taking advantage of the separation of the genin, he attacked the girl who hit the ground closest to him. She quickly got to her feet and was forced into a taijutsu fight with Yoroi. The other two could not see well because of the dust and could only guess from the sound that the others were fighting. As a result, neither knew how many opponents there were and were frozen for the time being.

Yoroi had thought of a strategy this time and had placed a clone on the other side of the clearing in advance. From there the clone could watch the blue twin trying to get out of the dust to gain more visibility.

"Water Release: Mouth Shot"

Yoroi's clone shot with his jutstu directly at the blue twin's chest. The latter had not expected to be attacked from the forest and thus fell to the ground gasping for air. Meanwhile, the real Yoroi did not have it easy, the girl was quite good at Taijustu and he kept taking minor hits. To make matters worse, the Red Twin got up and rushed into the fight. Now fighting two opponents, Yoroi had no choice but to implement his plan from the night for such situations. He quickly pulled a fake tag out of the glove he had prepared and placed it on the girl's arm before jumping backwards. The girl was shocked and tried in vain to get rid of the tag, but as the dust was settling the red twin could see the tag and also the face of his comrade. She ran away from him to avoid dragging him to his death and the fear was written all over her face. In desperation she had the idea to pull out a kunai to hopefully cut out the tag in time.

Cursing, the clone realised the gravity of the situation and threw his sword in her direction:

"Lightning Release: Charge Field"

The sword landed in the ground next to her and suddenly discharged Yoroi jutstu. Surprised by the latest attack, she went down stunned where the tag could no longer "ignite" due to the discharge. Yoroi, meanwhile, was very relieved that he had been able to avert something worse and it was only in the next moment that he noticed the team's Jonin standing next to him. This time it was Yoroi who was careless and was almost hit in the face by a kunai. Shocked by the near death and a little annoyed by his carelessness, he took off his hood.

"That was a thoroughly bad fight, by all of you." The Jonin was not exactly thrilled about the fight, and not just from his students but also from Yoroi. A speech followed from the Jonin, first against Yoroi and his negligent actions, then against his students, who had meanwhile regained consciousness.

Yoroi was in a bad mood. Partly due to his fight, partly due to the Jonin's speech. 'What does the Jonin expect from me? I have to fight three shinobi who want to kill me and I mustn't seriously hurt them.' He muttered to himself as he walked to his training ground. What he needed now was training to cool down. Once there, he started with Taijutsu by simply hitting his "favourite" wooden pole. After a while, the pain in his hands was greater than his rage and he had no choice but to stop his violent attacks and bandage his hands.

"Hey Yoroi, what's going on with you? You sure have a lot of hatred for the wooden pole." Nemui's voice startled Yoroi a little. In anger, he had focused only on the pole.

Nemui walked up to him and put his hand on Yoroi's shoulder and pointed to the cliff, "Let's sit there and talk, shall we?"

Somewhat reluctantly, Yoroi walked with him to the cliff and sat down.

"So, what happened today to make you so angry?"

"I lost a fight, or rather I didn't. Ah, it's hard to explain. I have to fight without hurting anyone, whereas the others try to hurt me. Of course, I'm fighting three people and I don't know their abilities. Where do people get such a brilliant idea?!" With some sarcasm, he vented his anger and exposed his problem to Nemui.

"The shinobi world is harsh and unfair. Many people just know war and the mission or the village comes first. You are expected to control yourself and perform. In the whole village, there are few shinobi who care about others. I don't mean teammates or friends but high ranking ones who care about everyone, even those they don't know. The best example is dodai. Your fight against your old students was arranged by him so that you would be directly confronted with problems or a mental block against them. It was important to him that it happen to you as soon as possible so that he could help you quickly." Yoroi was a little taken aback by Nemui's kind words and was fully aware that no weakness was shown in Kumo. All he knew of Kumo from his old life was the directness of A and the feeling that strength set the tone there. Other villages were better at dealing with the shinobi there, in his opinion.

"There is hardly any consideration for the individual shinobi and you quickly get the feeling that you are just a pawn. Believe me, I know this and all I can say is: grow with it. As you get stronger you can influence and change more things. As much as I would like consideration to prevail, I also have to be aware that toughening up in times of war is probably more effective. Maybe that's not a way to go in the long run, but it is in the short run."

It tugged at Yoroi's thoughts a little and so they both sat there for a moment without speaking.

"Well, you didn't get to hear A's uplifting words. Thinking back to the conversations I had with the Raikage, I feel like A takes after his father completely. Even the training I go through is nothing but his training and tailored to him."

Since they were both already talking about critical issues, Yoroi let his thoughts out of his head. It must be remembered that such remarks against the village or the shinobi system can be severely punished if the wrong person hears it.

"Yoroi, I think you have misunderstood A. A is only in his early 20s and you are his first student. He has long been planned as his father's, how shall I put it, successor. Even B was sought out in a selection process and adapted to A. Consequently, he knows only his training and adaptation rather less. Believe me, with the hospital visits you can see that he has made an effort and cares about you. Maybe he just needs some time to settle into his role and get away from his own harsh and often frustrating upbringing." Nemui placed his hand on Yoroi's shoulder and stood. He nodded at him again and began to walk away.

"You've calmed down a bit, that's very good. I'm afraid I have to go, but we can talk more next time. Oh, you forgot one thing. You are both inexperienced, if he gets to reprimand you sharply, so do you." With those words, Nemui disappeared from the training ground, leaving the confused Yoroi behind.

He was confused because, as always, there was a lot to process and some of it gave him insight. It was this chaos that gave him a goal for the future: to become strong so he could take care of the shinobi who had problems.

In his old world there were trained teachers and psychologists. Both experts in their field and trained to deal with students and patients. His Sensei A, however, has no knowledge in either field, not only A, but the other shinobi in general. In view of the war and the traumas that can follow from it, something should be changed there quickly. 'What a mess I've landed in.' With a slight grin at his latest motivation, he shook his head. It was time to grow from the experience of the last months.

His first approach was to adapt his exercises to him and so he decided to improve his shortcomings in sword fighting and taijutsu by improving his chakra control. If he could specifically sheathe his sword in Lightning Chakra in battle, he could surprise opponents and put them under more pressure. His previous exercises in chakra control were already successful and so he waved his sword in front of him all day. Again and again, one could briefly see that it would work, but in the end, not a single attempt was successful. Nevertheless, Yoroi was not dissatisfied, he had the feeling that he was getting better and so he went on to the next fight.

That fight was quite unspectacular, he tried to use Lightning charka in the sword fight, but unfortunately in vain. He only won because the three opponents were surprised by his Genjutstu immunity. Tired and exhausted, Yoroi then went home to bed.

The next days consisted of the fights in which he tried to apply his new experiences and a steady progress in training. He could not win most of the fights, his handicap was too big. Usually his reason for victory was his genjutsu immunity, which was inexplicable to him and to everyone else. After completing the mission, he was busy writing reports and after a week he was once again in the Raikage's office. He was curious to see how the Raikage would evaluate his performance, since he himself was pleased with his progress in each fight.

"I have read your reports and we have already been able to determine the candidates for the chunin rank. The number is within our expectation, so that's fine. You will be given one more week to train, then you will be assigned an escort mission with a chunin team. The members of the team are Moi, Jooi and Megusuri. It is a normal C rank mission and I don't expect any major complications. You are free to go now."

The conversation with the Raikage ended quickly and Yoroi went to see Dodai afterwards.

"Hello Yoroi, you handled the mission quite well. I have your final report here. A had asked me to observe you and note down everything relevant. But I think it is important that you read the report. I hope to see you tonight in the restaurant to celebrate the completion of your mission?"

"You were watching me? I was wondering why Nemui and Urui kept visiting me." With the description he had gotten from dobdai about both of them, it quickly dawned on him that there must be more to their visits. Nemui in particular, who was usually so lazy, was very dedicated.

"Hahaha, you got it and believe me Nemui really didn't feel like taking over my work." With a laugh, Dodai said goodbye to Yoroi and the latter left for his training ground.
