CHAPTER 2: Ignition
Mito and Naruto where running, well they were running away from each other, currently Naruto is chasing mito since he was "it" and they were both laughing up a storm while doing it. But all good things come to a sweet bitter end when one of the many so called friends of Fuso and Menmma, a boy named Kiba who was from the Inazuka clan, tripped mito by placing his foot in front of her when she wasn't looking. Naruto immediately ran towards Kiba pushed him away from mito "what the hell is wrong with you dog breath" Naruto yelled at kiba looking at him with glare so ferocious it made kiba feel smaller than him, "it's not my fault that your brat of a younger sister doesn't know where she's going" said kiba as he got back up and walked closer to Naruto who also got on his feet and faced kiba with anger very visible between the two but before it could get any worse Tsume Inazuka, Kiba's mother and Kushina stepped in and put an end to the problem before it could escalate."Okay that's enough out of you little pup" Tsume said with scolding tone,"same goes for you, you little brat and unless you want a repeat of last time I suggest you apologize" said Kushina in a more scolding tone than Tsume. "Now apologize to Kiba", "same goes for you little pup", the two boys look at each other and give their apologies, as everyone went back to what they were doing Kushina and Tsume back to a table with their friends and Kiba next to the play area with Menmma."You okay Mito" asked Naruto, Mito said that she was okay even though she still couldn't talk very well, Naruto still understood. Then Naruto heard ruffling in some bushes and already knew who was already there , "hey Mito go over next to mom for a while, so that you can rest and we can play later" Mito stuttered out an okay before she ran off to sit next to Kushina, whilst this happened Naruto went to the area that the ruffling had come from. Once in the clearing Naruto made sure he wasn't followed and then called out to person in the area."Cayde San why are hiding in the bushes, and are you following me?", as Naruto says this Cayde appears from some bushes," hey there kiddo" Cayde says with a nervous chuckle "I've totally haven't been hiding in bushes and trees and following you for the last week", Naruto sweat dropped at Cayde statement "Cayde San have you done anything else other than that and when are gonna start my training?" Naruto asked. " Look kid I know that so far we haven't done much of anything for training and I still promise that I will help you to use your powers .But trying to find a place for us to work on your abilities is kinda hard when you have a village full to the brim with ninja ,that can kill you in 600 different ways using the elements, like seriously how the heck do they spit fire out of their mouths", Naruto chuckled at Cayde's misfortune before asking him a question "did you at least check out that one training ground with the big trees" Cayde went slack at the memory of that day' " I did and it was alright at first, but then a giant snake almost ate me whole!, like seriously I already thought it was pretty scary that you people can spit fire and other stuff but giant snakes!, like holy hell dude", after Cayde ranted he calmed himself down by taking a couple breath's before speaking. "Anyway that's enough about me how are things going with you". Naruto took awhile before answering "not much, it's the same thing as every other day since I can remember" as Naruto says this his hand unconsciously moves to his right check were a bruise was, but was fading a little. "They hit you didn't they" Cayde asked "yeah" Naruto responded in a quiet voice, Cayde then walked over towards Naruto put a hand on his shoulder "you know what makes special kid other than your powers " Cayde asked "what" Naruto said quietly "your mentality, you are the most resilient little kid I've ever met that speaks volumes don't forget that" Cayde said this with a smile, Naruto gives Cayde a thankful smile, Cayde then started to speak again "alright I'm gonna keep looking for places to get your training started and if if if I don't find anything I guess we can use that forest sound good", "yes Cayde San"
"I already told you, don't need use formalities with me kid", "but Itachi San says that if you respect someone you must talk to them with respect", Cayde shakes his head with smile while chuckling "well she's not wrong, but no two people are the same" before Naruto could retort Sundance appeared "Cayde someone is coming" Sundance said hurriedly "okay thanks for the heads up pal, I'll see soon kid stay on your toes", "you got it Cayde San" said Naruto. As Cayde disappears into the foliage, Menmma appeared to see Naruto standing there looking at him with a blank face, before he started to speak "where the hell were you loser ka-Chan's angry that you up and left, so hurry the hell up or we're gonna leave you behind again" said Menmma in a smug tone, this made Naruto feel very bad in his stomach. Menmma then began to walk off with Naruto not to far behind him they soon saw Kushina, Fuso, and Mito waiting for them with Kushina and Fuso having scolding looks and Mito smiling from ear to ear "where the heck were you Naruto and what were you doing " said Kushina with anger "I saw fox in some bushes and followed it" said Naruto in an attentive voice, this only angered Kushina before she snapped at him "are you mocking me brat"yelled Kushina catching the attention of on goer's Naruto visibly flinched at his mothers voice, "n-no ka-San" said Naruto in a stuttering quiet voice "that's what I thought now come on I'll think of your punishment on are way home" after Kushina had said that she turned around and began to walk back home with her children following her and Naruto in the back. When they got home Menmma, Fuso, and Mito went inside the house, as Naruto was about to go in he found that his mother's hand was on his shoulder turning back to face his mother she spoke to him "you're not going inside the house Naruto, not until you change your attitude towards your family" Kushina said to him, Naruto was shocked, Kushina noticed this and continued her statement "This is your punishment for leaving without asking". With that said Kushina went inside the house locking the door behind her leaving her son outside, heart-aching with sadness. Few seconds went by before Naruto turned around slowly and started to walk off with tears beginning to fall from his eyes. Naruto walked throughout the village with his head down, though the village didn't seem to notice, as he walked, he did not pay attention to where he was walking and ended up in forested area with absurdly high trees, as Naruto walked through the forest he kept thinking about his "family" and thinking about his life up till this point. " I don't get it, I don't get it, I don't get it, I don't get it, what makes me any different form any of them what have I done to them, for them to do this to me, why am I the only who has to get yelled at, why am I the one who is supposed to take the hit and the fall, why".Naruto was cut short from his thoughts when he heard noises not to far from him, making his way to the area where he heard the noise Naruto began to think about who or what it could be, at first he thought it might have been Cayde, but using reasoning he eliminated that option, getting into the clearing he noticed that it was two animals a baby fox and a snake and at first he thought that they were trying to kill each other, but to his surprise the fox had been injured on its leg and snake was trying to comfort the leg of the fox. When Naruto tried to get closer to the animals, they seemed to have noticed his presence and the snake turned around on guard in front of the fox Naruto being startled from this started to back up from both of the animals, but then he tripped on a stone, making him fall backwards onto his back looking back up from his position he noticed that the snake slithered closer to him and then he began to back up before hitting a tree, the snake got closer and closer and before long the snake was in front of him staring him in the eyes, Naruto was never more afraid than now as he stared into the snakes yellow slit eyes but before he knew it the snake moved away from him and back to the fox, Naruto released a breath that he didn't he was holding, once he got his wits back Naruto made his way to the fox and snake though the snake remained on guard but once he got close he noticed that the foxes leg had been bleeding and the wound being comforted by the snake, Naruto reached his hand out to the foxes leg before the snake began to hiss at him, retracting his hand Naruto tried to make another attempt to to see the foxes leg only to be snapped at by the snake although it missed, Naruto then looked at the fox and slowly tried to put his hand on the foxes head, the fox then began growl before letting up because of the pain and let Naruto pet it Naruto caressed the foxes head as it then began to relax, unknowingly though Naruto's abilities started to kick in and a blue lighting went throughout the foxes body healing the leg in the process, whilst this happened the snake had slithered behind Naruto fearing for its life. After Naruto healed the foxes leg the fox got up on it's legs taking a moment to realize what happened to it and before he knew it the fox had jumped on him and started to snuggle against his body the snake had moved out of the way before Naruto had fell on it, after regaining his balance Naruto had picked the fox by the pit of it's legs and held him up with a smile the fox had noticed this and yipped happily, the snake seeing this slithered closer towards Naruto before moving up from the ground onto Naruto's leg then towards his body then to his arm."I knew you guys weren't that bad, you were just shy" Naruto said to the snake and fox.
MEAN WHILE AT NAMIKAZE AND UZUMAKI COMPOUND*
Kushina was in the living room sitting on the couch with her friends who were Nara Yoshino matriarch of the Nara clan, Yukimaru Yamanaka wife of Inoichi who is the head of the Yamanaka clan, Tsume Inazuka head of the Inazuka clan, and Mikoto Uchiha matriarch of the Uchiha clan. The five women were talking about how life was going for them and how excited they were for their children to enter the academy, that's when the subject of their children got brought up and they began to talk about their children for the most part they each told the rest about the changes they were going through and how fast there growing up, when subject then went to Kushina and her children."Mennma and Fuso's training has been going great they take to ninjutsu like sponges to water and I'm proud of that" said Kushina her tone filled with pride "but then sometimes they can be big handful and pretty stubborn Fuso not so much though she's more like Minato in that regard but Menmma reminds me of myself in genin days" Kushina said in an exhausted voice before her tone became more bright and began to talk about little Mito the women whilst Kushina talked about her children noticed she didn't talk about her oldest son Naruto which got their attention, which then Tsume asked the question on their minds."Hey what about your oldest son Naruto how has his training been going is he on par with his little brother and sister" Tsume asked, Kushina didn't answer for a couple seconds before answering "well we haven't trained him yet" said Kushina, all the women in the room were surprised "are you serious" asked Yukimaru in a disbelieving voice "Mennma and Fuso need all the training they can get with the Nine tails being sealed in both of them we needed to be sure that could be able to control it, plus I'm sure that the academy can teach Naruto while we teach Mennma and Fuso" Kushina said determinedly "I don't think that's how Naruto might see it" said Yoshino with criticism evident in her voice "on the same topic where is he I know Kiba, Fuso, and Mennma are outside but where is Naruto" said Mikoto "he's outside doing his punishment for not telling me about leaving",
"Outside as in not with Kiba and his siblings" said Tsume "yes" answered Kushina in a confused tone. All four women looked at each other, before Yukimaru looked at her and spoke "isn't that a little harsh on the boy for something that happens with children Kushina" Yukimaru said in a direct tone, though Kushina didn't seem to notice this "Serves that little rascal of a brat right for not being more respectful to his mother and not telling me what he was doing before disappearing" said Kushina, then Mikoto spoke in a calm tone "Kushina he's just a child he doesn't know any better, cut him some slack will you", Kushina then looks at Mikoto with a scolding face " do I tell you how to raise your children Mikoto" ,"no bu-", "then do not tell me how to raise my children" the tension grew high between the two but before any could retort to each other Yoshino had stepped in "okaay you two let's drink some tea before we continue talking" Mikoto said calmly and with a smile, they all agreed and changed topic while drinking tea
BACK WITH NARUTO*
Naruto was running around playing a very fast game of tag with fox who had the snake on its back holding onto it's furry friend for dear life, they had been playing for an hour already and weren't the least bit tired so they kept running for a while until the fox got close enough and jumped on Naruto's back making him fall, which ended the chase "That. Was. So. Much. Fun!" Naruto yelled out with excitement, the fox yipped with excitement clear in its voice and the snake gave a long hiss almost like it was sighing, Naruto noticed this and gave a cheeky smile before trying to pet soothingly, but the snake moved its head before Naruto could pet it. Sighing Naruto moved the fox who still had the snake on its back off his stomach and stood up before getting the dirt that had accumulated off him, Naruto looked at the fox and snake who was now on next to the fox and was about to speak before the three heard noise coming from some foliage, The three were put on guard with snake to the left of Naruto and the fox on the right, they were ready for anything until Cayde fell face first into the ground "Ow", Naruto calmed down seeing that it was only Cayde "Hey kid can you come get me, my horn got stuck in the ground" Naruto sweat dropped, but then began to chuckle which then turned into a full blown childish laugh "come on kid, it's not that funny" said Cayde but his voice was muffled because his face was still in the ground, after Naruto's laughing came to an end he went to help his sensei "sorry Cayde-San it was just to funny not to laugh at" helping his sensei Naruto managed to get Cayde out of his predicament "again with the formalities, after already making fun of me for falling" Cayde said aloud, Naruto chuckled and then looked at his sensei before asking "so Cayde-San why are you here" ignoring the fact that Naruto was still being formal Cayde answered in an exhausted voice " well I looked for more places to train you in your ability to wield the light and I didn't find any, so now were here, back in the forest where giant snakes exist and could eat you in one bite, speaking of which what are those two doing here with you" Cayde said while pointing at the fox and snake who growled and hiss perspectively at Cayde. Naruto then explained what he was with the fox and snake which then lead to another question "Kid why are even out hear shouldn't you be at home with your family" Cayde asked in a confused tone, this question darkened Naruto's mood which didn't go unnoticed by Cayde, he was about to apologize but then Naruto spoke "I was punished for having a bad attitude towards them so, my Ka-Chan told me to stay out until my attitude changed" Naruto said defeatedly, it was quite for about a minute before Cayde decided to move away and sit underneath a tree on the floor before patting his left side signifying to sit next to him, Naruto sat next to Cayde, with the fox laying it's head on Naruto's lap and the snake on the foxes stomach and they both waited before Cayde started talking " life was never gonna be easy kid and sometimes your given your deck of cards and all you can do is play them, so make the most of it", Naruto looked at Cayde with confusion and sadness still evident on his face "but what does that mean for my family am I not on their cards"
asked Naruto, Cayde looked at Naruto with a blank face before sighing "alright kid listen I'm gonna tell you something about family that's gonna hurt but it's true in most cases, do you want to hear it" Cayde asked it was quite before Naruto nodded his and Cayde continued "Family is a weird word kid because on the one hand they're supposed to care for you and teach you, but then sometime theirs situations much like yours where they don't do that and sometimes they probably have it worse than you, and I'm sorry to say this kid but that's not a family, it's a prison of pain, nothing good comes out of situations like your" Cayde finished with sadness, Naruto began to think on Cayde's words and began to cry, Cayde moved his hand to Naruto's shoulder trying to comfort his little student, the fox also took notice of Naruto's crying and did it's best to comfort his big friend, the snake didn't know what to do so it didn't move from where it was. It was awhile before anything was heard but in that time Cayde was thinking, thinking of a way to better Naruto's situation, then a visible light bulb flickered, Naruto had stopped crying but some sniffling was still heard "Hey kid" Cayde said calmly, Naruto looked at him with blood shoot eyes from crying,"Do you still want to live with your family" Cayde asked, Naruto was unsure on how to answer his sensei's question and Cayde took notice of this and changed tactics "do you remember two weeks ago when we first met" Naruto answered quietly "y-yeah" ,"do you remember when I asked you for money that one time" Naruto chuckled slightly on the thought of that memory, Cayde had visited him while he was at the park with Mito, Cayde was hiding underneath a cloak to hide his face and body, Naruto was cut from his thoughts when Cayde started to speak again " Well I found a job as a bounty hunter and it pays pretty well, so much so that I have my own place now" Cayde said, which confused Naruto wondering where this conversation was going "the place I own now is big with two bedrooms and two bathrooms" Cayde finished his sentence and took a breath "what I'm trying to get at kid is that if you need a place to stay at, if you can't take anymore my place could always use a little bit of spunk" Naruto was shocked if the widening of his eyes wasn't evident enough, his sensei who was a stranger just two weeks ago was offering him to stay at his place, this made him feel happy but at same time conflicted, he wanted to believe that his family cared but everything that Cayde said made sense "c-can I think a-about it" Naruto asked quietly "take as much time as you need kid I'm here for you" Cayde finished his sentence by pating Naruto's back, before getting up and taking his leave, Naruto sat underneath the tree for a while so much so that it was already late evening throughout all of what happened the snake and fox stood next to Naruto comforting in his time of need, eventually though Naruto got up and set the fox and snake aside to say his own goodbyes to them before trying to find the exit of the forest awhile later Naruto made it out the forest without much trouble through a gate. He walked the same path back to his house with the villagers not even noticing him but at the moment he did not care, he was thinking about what his sensei said to him with time his thoughts were cut short and he saw the gated entrance to "his" house before entering and made his way to the house door and entered, most of the house lights were off but a couple remained on, most notably the living room where Kushina and her friends where earlier, Naruto heard voices from the living room it seemed that his parents and two others where having a conversation, Naruto hugged the wall near the entrance to the living room trying to listen to the conversation his parents and the two other people where having "Are you sure about this you two, I mean it's not like I'm judging but still that could change a lot of things" Jiraiya the toad sage said which Naruto recognized "we are sure of it and this way we can concentrate on the training of the twins, whilst they go to the academy" said Minato with confidence "I also have to express my concern for this decision even if the kid can be a brat it's his dream to be a shinobi, you'd be taking away his dream by not letting him go to the shinobi academy, are you sure you can live with that on your mind" asked Tsunade calmly "I'm sure Naruto will understand why he won't be going to the academy once we explain it to him" Kushina said with the same confidence as Minato "and it pains me to say it but Naruto even if we had trained Naruto with the twins I doubt he would have amounted to much" Minato said sadly, Naruto couldn't believe what his ears where hearing his family, his own family thought he couldn't amount to what his siblings where becoming, that he was a failure in their eyes and that they were going to take away his dream of becoming a shinobi, the one thing he wanted to be other than his parents approval, his thoughts went to his sensei's words about family and came to harsh truth that his family would never accept him for who he was and would never support him. With that Naruto walked away with tears already falling but no noise escaped from him.
NEXT DAY*
Morning came fast for Naruto as he fell asleep relatively fast the night before, currently no one In his "house" was awake using this to his advantage he made his way out through the window instead of the front door and made his way to the big forested area where he met Cayde the day before, once he got their he waited for a while until his sensei got there "your here relatively early" Cayde said surprisingly but noticed something was different about his little student but decided to let his student talk " Cayde sensei does the offer to live with you still stand" Naruto asked bluntly and calmly, if Cayde was surprised he hid it well, before he answered "yea it still stands, what made you change your mind" Cayde asked with the same bluntness as Naruto "I just thought about it all night" Naruto said calmly although Cayde could tell their was something else he did not push the matter "Alright then will have to come up with a way to take your stuff from your room to my place without arising to much suspicion" Cayde said putting his hands on his waist whilst looking up at sky, before continuing his sentence " and after that we can kick it into high ignition with your training" Cayde finished with a big smile, which was reciprocated by Naruto's fox like smile.

well their is the next chapter sorry for the wait had to think of where the story was heading and had to proofread a lot and even then I'm not sure if I got all the mistakes this time. Anyway that's it from me I will see you guys next time peace.
