A/N: I wrote this prior to the season 13 finale. Glenncoco4 on Tumblr suggested Densi showing Rosa around the house for today's fic. Thanks for the idea!

This assumes that Kensi and Deeks are allowed to take Rosa home midday, with the party happening a little later. I'm also going to be making up a fair bit about the house since we haven't gotten a full tour ourselves.

"Ok, I'll get your stuff and you ladies can go inside," Deeks offered, having just pulled into the driveway outside their home. He turned to smile at Rosa. Her answering smile was a little nervous mixed with excitement.

Kensi thought she looked unusually small sitting in the back of her SUV with her few bags of clothes and personal belongings on either side of the bench seat.

"Actually, I think we should all go in together," Kensi disagreed. "You know, as a family." Maybe it was silly, but she wanted to start things off right. They'd only showed Rosa a few pictures of the house since she wasn't allowed to visit prior to her official placement day. She wanted this moment to be special and shared between all of them.

"That would be nice," Rosa said a little shyly. She pulled on her backpack, grabbed a couple smaller bags, and hopped out of the SUV, waiting for Kensi and Deeks to join her. Deeks grabbed the remaining bags, which really didn't amount to much.

Deeks blew out a short breath as they headed up the sidewalk towards the front door. He looked just as nervous and excited as she felt. Kensi reached for his hand, giving him a look of encouragement. This was what they were meant to do.

"Alrighty, welcome to Casa Del Deeks-Blye," Deeks announced grandly, his accent only slightly distorted. "And you'll have to help me with my Spanish because that's about as good as it gets."

Rosa giggled at his aside while he opened the door.

"It wasn't so bad."

"Oh, you're so much nicer about it than Kensi is. That's it, you're officially my new teacher."

"He's exaggerating," Kensi informed Rosa with a roll of her eyes. "I'm a saint for putting up with his abominable pronunciation." She squeezed Deeks' hand to take the sting out of her words, grateful for the very welcome distraction. "He once asked me for orange juice with pulpo."

"I'm sure that is a common mistake," Rosa said encouragingly, though Kensi noticed she was still smiling as they walked through the door.

"So, this is the living room/sitting room," Deeks said, walking from the front room to the right. Per Mrs. King's "suggestions", they'd freed up a lot of the floor space, added a few more chairs, and repainted. "And the kitchen is on the other side."

Outside of the bedrooms, the kitchen had required the most work. All the flooring had been replaced with water resistant laminate and most of the fixtures, including the refrigerator and oven were upgraded to with newer models, thanks to Beale's checks.

Rosa walked to the far side of the room where several medium sized pictures hung in a diagonal configuration. There were several taken over the years from important moments including their wedding and the few vacations they managed. The last few featured the team in its various configurations. In the very center, there was an obvious blank patch of light purple paint. Rosa ran her fingers over the space and Deeks cleared his throat a little awkwardly.

"We were thinking that we could add a picture of the three of us. You know, only if you want to."

"Of course I do," Rosa said, turning quickly. She nodded, almost to herself, eyeing a picture towards the bottom which featured Kensi and Deeks with Nell and Eric. "This is to honor your family, yes?"

"Exactly." Kensi had worried about pushing too hard and seeming too eager. Yet, they wanted Rosa to know she was completely welcome and absolutely wanted. "As far as meals go, we're trying to get better at eating at regular times, but with our schedules it's kind of crazy sometimes. So, if we accidentally skip a meal or something, help yourself to whatever you want."

"And let us know if there's anything in particular we should add to the grocery list," Deeks added. "I make a pretty mean frittata and quesadillas, but I'm guessing it's probably not quite what you're used to."

Rosa thought for a moment, shrugging one shoulder.

"Back in Guatemala, we would make chuchitos and pepian. I can show you how if you like."

"Rosa, you do not have to cook for us," Deeks told her firmly.

"I know that. But I want to," she insisted just as firmly, though in her gentle voice. "It will bring my two families together. Besides, I think you could use the lessons." She grinned as she said the last part and Kensi gasped.

"She's got you there," Deeks said, reaching out to Rosa for a fist bump. "Now who needs lessons?"

"I am not nearly as bad as I used to be. I haven't burned anything in years," Kensi protested, much to Deeks and Rosa's amusement.

"Last week's pot roast," Deeks muttered under the guise of a fake cough.

"Ok, I think it's time to explore the rest of the house."

They showed Rosa the two bathrooms and master bedroom, which looked pretty much the same as when they'd moved in minus a lot of dirt and outdated decorations.

When they reached the second, smaller bedroom, Deeks hesitated with his hand on the doorknob.

"And this is your room." He pushed the door open, gesturing for Rosa to go before them. Kensi stayed back, letting Rosa explore for a minute before crossing the threshold.

They'd replaced the original bed with something more mature, added a desk and chair, lamp, mirror, and a few other furnishings.

"We know it's not much, but we figured you can decorate however you—"

Kensi was cut off mid-sentence as Rosa abruptly caught them both in a hug, her arm curving around Kensi's neck and shoulder.

"Thank you," she murmured fervently. "Thank you for everything that you've done for me. For making me a part of your family and giving me a home. It's perfect."

Kensi felt Deeks' arm come around her waist as he squeezed them tighter, his head briefly resting on top of hers. She though she heard him sniffle slightly.

"Thank you for trusting us," he said, in a hoarse voice that made Kensi's eyes prick with tears. As he pulled back, he brushed his hair off his forehead, obviously fighting for control of his emotions. He swallowed a couple of times, catching Kensi's eye. "Whoo, ok, um, before I start crying for real, we wanted to make sure we gave you this."

He reached into his pocket, removing a regular house key, and offered to Rosa in the center of his palm.

"Welcome to the family, Rosa," Kensi said as she accepted the key with a slightly awed expression, as though the reality of the situation had finally taken hold. Tears spilled down her cheeks as she reached for them again.

They spent the next several minutes, hugging, overcome with happiness.

A/N: I hope this wasn't too sappy.

According to google, "pulpo", which is very close to the Spanish word for pulp, actually means octopus.

My research also revealed that chuchitos and pepian are common traditional dishes in Guatemala. If any of this is inaccurate (highly likely), please let me know.
