Chapter 16: Welcome to the Science team
Goh, Chloe Applejack, Nepgear, Blanc and Sci-Twi, were travelling through the vortex to their next location to find a cake
WOOOHOOO!" Goh cheered as he was enjoying the ride Applejack struggled to maintain her form of flying through the vortex while saying "This is a really bizarre place! Did Midnight sparkle go and make it when she was around?" Sci-Twi was looking as she was studying the vortex
""Interesting... this is some sort of dimensional vortex that takes us through space and time." Blanc said with a strong face "These bright lights are making me nauseous."
Unknown location
The six heroes jumped out of the vortex as they looked around as Blanc said "Hmm this isn't a bakery…" Nepgear and Sci-twi were just entranced on how much technology was around as Chloe said
"We just got back from the past. Maybe this is a futuristic space-bakery in some sort of special future?"
"Is that you?" A mysterious voice said "Huh?" Sci-twi said as she adjusted her glasses "But how did you escape your…No your not her just some unwelcome visitors.." Blanc said
"Unwelcome visitors?" Goh then said "Excuse me kind woman, do you own this place we're here to buy a cake.." The voice then said "Cake?" The voice sighed and said "Why do they always want the cake?" Chloe said "So you actually have a cake here?" Goh said as he brought out some Pokedollars
"We can pay a lot of money to you if you let us have it." "Yes. Yes you will pay But first, a test." Just then a door opened up as the six entered the room as the voice then said
"Welcome to the Aperture science enrichment centre. I am GLADOS. I would say it's nice to meet you but it's not nice to lie! Now let us begin the test.."
The six looked around and saw three buttons as they nodded, having a plan as Goh said "Shift keystone!" Three different portals appeared as GLADOS said
"Unauthorised portals detected!" As Goh, Nepgear and Chloe got to work and cleared the first test with their skills as GLADOS said once the heroes entered the next chamber
"You're doing quite well though I suspect you were cheating is wrong. I will be monitoring your behaviour now onto the next test!" Chloe then spots chorma platforms and a symbol to match colours Chloe, Blanc and Nepgear said "Keystone chroma!" In which the keystone activities as they went over to some colours as they matched the symbol on the picture as that allowed the heroes to advance further in the testing room as they then spot fire above the testing room if they jumped they would get cooked until they decided the element keystone to avoid the fire and the lighting in one blow
Once they passed the hazards they cleared the test as Glados said "Congratulations I always believed in your abilities to do that.." Goh scoffed and said "You want my opinion, sarcasm is the only thing it understands.." As they entered the third chamber room as Glados said
"As punishment err I mean getting this far I have added some Aperture science sentry turrets for the following test.." Blanc then said
"These tests are getting more and more deadly. I don't like this!" Applejack then said "Gotta be honest ah agree with ya Blanc.." As they used the locate keystone and summoned a humanoid tree creature and said as it attacked the sentrys
"I! AM! GROOT!" Once the sentries were destroyed the heroes marched forward as Glados said in shock "What in the world was that!? Perhaps another one of your unauthorised elements, how can I test with so many variables?"
As they passed more sentries by using the shift keystone as the sentires were sent flying because of the the shift keystone they then saw a massive turret as Sci-Twi used her magic to lift the robot as it broke the glass containing the switches as Chloe and Blanc pushed the button as they moved onto from the testing and into another one
However they didn't hear Glados's voice, instead they saw Kaos's hologram right in front of them as he said "Well well look who it is, the Poser master's little buddies. I assume you came for the foundation element WELL TO BAD! That cake is MINE! To ensure you don't get the cake I will summon a Doomlander stronger than my sorcerer behold the black knight of cataclysm hah thought I was gonna say doom huh?"
Just then this Doomlander emerged from a portal it looked like a purple gremlin as said while swinging his sword around
"Party with me wrath!" Kaos had a confused look as Applejack and Goh struggle to hold back some laughing
As they attacked the Doomlander as Blanc smashed the Doomlander into a wall then Nepgear and Chloe slashed the Doomlander next as Goh had his Pokemon attack the doomlander as the attack knocked off some of the Doomlanders gear Kaos growled and said
"I'm starting to get really annoyed by you irksome heroes. I'll give my Doomlander a secret technique behold!" Kaos powered up the creature as it got stronger even knocking by Blanc and Applejack back the Doomlander cackled as it grabbed Chloe by the shirt as it cackled while walking to some fire Goh gasped and yelled
"Chloe!" Just then Goh's hands ignited with fire a fireball was launched at the Doomlander knocking another part of the Doomlander giving Chloe the chance to jump away from the Doomlander Goh stood there as his eyes glowed while doing a 'come at me' taunt which got the Doomlander attention
The Doomlander tried to strike down Goh but he dodges like a pro as the others watched even Cinderace was shocked as Goh went in for the kill as he yelled as these glowing wings appeared on Goh's back
"Now feel the power of extinction!" Goh then summoned what seemed to be a glowing sword as he slashed the Doomlander so hard it exploded into many particles
"WHAT HOW DID A SIMPLETON LIKE YOU DEFEAT MY DOOMLANDER!?" Goh said nothing as these markings appeared over his face as he glared at Kaos who scoffed "Whatever fools I'll build a stronger doomlander in order to beat and your allies!" Kaos then teleported away as Goh falls to the ground but luckily Chloe catched him and said
"Goh!" Goh moans and says waking up "What happened, did we beat Doomlander?" Blanc nodded and said "Yeah we did all thanks and that power of yours.." "Power?" Goh said in confusion as Applejack "Never mind, partner now saddle up we need to keep moving!" Goh nods as they exited the chamber and into the next one
"I have no idea what happened in that last test but we'll move onto the next with thermal lasers being added to the environment. I wish you luck but it's not like you need it anyway!" Glados said as the heroes got to work
Blanc found a locate point as a man named Homer Simpson yelled as he crashed into a part of the test with a wrecking ball until he returned though the portal Glados then said
"THAT was not part of the test for damaging the equipment an extra 9999 days of testing will be required to pay for the damage!" Blanc said in anger as her eyes were covered by darkness
"Oh that's just a load of complete BULL!" Nepgear ignored the remark as she moved the objects as the laser cuts through the sentries as they neared the door Glados then said
"It appears that the elevator is not working, allow me to properly fix it for you! So we can continue testing." The laser shield vanished but the elevator tried going up but fell down and crashed luckily no one was hurt as they saw the remains of the elevator as Glados said
"Clumsy me, that did not seem to work. I shall send someone at once to fix the elevator. In the meantime sit back and talk about your day and feelings.." Just then the heroes heard a voice "Psst hey over here!"
They turned their direction and saw white sphere with a blue eye and said "Listen I literally have to go into full detail but remove the screws and I'll do the rest!" Goh, Chloe Applejack, Nepgear, Blanc and Sci-Twi all nodded as they got to work on removing the screws as the blue sphere talked about something about ticking off the wrong woman with the screws removed sphere bashed the panel as they followed the sphere on the rail
"Hey by the way we never got your name?" The sphere turned around and said "Oh right sorry about that my name's Wheatley at your service anyway old Glados thinks she knows this place like the back of her head which is not really true because there's a tunnel that will take you closer to her and there it is."
The six heroes and sphere look at the pipe as Nepgear said "So mister Wheatley wanna come with us?" Wheatley then said with a surprised voice "Wait you want me to come along with you I'll be happy to join the team though I'm worried I'll die if I disconnect from this panel well here it goes one of you needs to catch 1, 2, 3!" Wheatley disconnects as Nepgear catched him "Ahah! It worked. Now let's go find that woman and give her a piece of our minds and the terrible reception!" They jumped into the pipe as they landed in chamber 9 Glados's voice then said
"Ah there you I was worried you were not going to make it now let's continue for science!" "Said nobody ever.." Wheatley said with a deadpanned they took around and saw a room filled with a toxic gas called neurotoxins and sentries on another side of the room
They completed the test with the keystones as they entered the elevator and saw Glados herself a big robotic machine attached to some wires
Queen of the labs- Glados
"Welcome *Insert party nosies* A party associate will come shortly with your cake for surviving. I mean completing all the tests. For the moment allow me to keep you entertained!"
Just then a massive wall above the heroes came crashing down as they dodge in time "Watch out don't get squashed!" Glados said
"Stop moving, it would help if you or that moron would just stay still!" Wheatley yelled "WHO ARE YOU CALLING A MORON YOU BIG DUMB WOMAN CONNECTED TO WIFI and I got nothing else on a comeback sorry.." Blanc said in anger
"We're sick of you and your bullcrap, we're taking that cake and leaving your broken ass here!" Glados felt insulted as she activates some neurotoxin luckily no one was in one of the rooms as "What's wrong feeling tired care for a break or a nap I could allow one of the associates to come here and rub your feet if I'm not boring you with details!" The heroes say nothing as they turned off the neroxins gas Glados get even more angry and said
"If you and that bumbling moron keep on breaking my tests I'll just have to remove them that way it'll just be us forever and ever!" Wheatley said as if smirking
"What would we say we give her a friend to play with?" The six heroes grin as they used the locate keystone and summoned HAL a robot Ai from his own dimension
"Hello it is very nice to meet you, my name is HAL. Would you like a game of chess?" Glados noticed the robot and said "I have detected a rogue and corrupted AI. Did Black Mesa send you go away!" Hal then said back in his robotic voice
"I do not know. I was in space and now I am here." Glados then said back in anger "Well you can't stay here. I'm in the Middle of something. Go back to space." Hal looked around the room and said "Is Dave here?"
"Who is Dave? I think test subject 24051919 was once called Dave." Glados said as HAL said "Are you Dave?" Before she could say anything she was attacked by Applejack, Blanc and Nepgear while the two CPUs were in their HDD forms as they did strong blows on the machine while Dave returned to his own dimension while
"Goodbye Dave!" Glados shook her head and said in anger "Hey, that's not fair, I was distracted. Go sit in the basement and think about what you've done."
Just then the floor underneath opened up as they yelped as they landed on their bums as Wheatly said "Look I think I found your cake!"
Just then some panels ignited on fire "Aw applesauce!" Applejack said as they saw the panels of fire closing in on them as Goh went in front as he raised his hand in front and yelled
"Zephyrus unleash your winds!" Just then a massive gust of wind blew away the fire as everyone was shocked that Goh did that "WOW! How did you do that?!" Wheatley said in complete astoundment on what Goh then said looking at his hands
"I-I don't know how I even did that as if something inside me told me to use that ability to protect you guys.." Chloe's eyes widened and said "Goh is there more to you than meets the eye?" As she remembered on Goh single handedly defeated the Doomlander with some sort of odd power
Goh was quiet and shook his head "We'll run some tests on me later!" They all nod they went over to the cake as Blanc and Applejack were keeping the cake away from Goh, Chloe and Sci-Twi as Glados said as they kept it quiet
"Are you cooked yet? Say nothing for yes or "Aargh! The pain! Why doesn't the pain stop?!" for no. Good." Glados hummed to herself until she saw the heroes were very much alive "Y-your alive will wonders never cease.." Blanc growls as Chloe said
"What else have you got?" Glados then said "If you are not going to play by the rules, then is no point in continuing the tests." Goh then said back in anger "Are you telling us that oven was a test!?"
GlaDOS nodded and said "Yes. You failed. But... There is one more thing I would like to conduct." Sci-Twi then said "Yeah? What's that?!" Just then some electricity robots appeared as Glados said "Electricity. Through you." Just a portal under the heroes and sucked them up in the nick of time as Glados said with a sad voice
"Why do they always leave me?"
Vorton's moon
Goh, Chloe Applejack, Nepgear, Blanc, Sci-Twi and Wheatly all came from the gateway as Wheatly cheered that they were alive as Fiction came over and took the cake while saying
"Oh, good! You guys got the cake!" Applejack said to the robot dragon "You cut that pretty close, Fics." Goh then said "Speaking of cutting. Perhaps a slice of the…" Spawn came and said "It's not for eating it's for saving all of reality as we freaking know it.."
Chloe sighed and said "On the other hand how is Ocho doing?" Fiction then said a scan of Ocho's body and said "Well she's recovering from Zedd's stab it's a miracle she's still standing after that.." Chloe sighed in relief as she went off to find Lop and Derrick knowing they would be in the medical wing. Goh went to find Sprocket to run some tests on his body to figure out the strange power he used while Sci-twi was wondering how Gemerl's team was doing on his end?
