EJ was standing in the rehearsal room. Pacing and waiting for Gina. He was about to ask the question that tuned his stomach into knots.
What if she only sees us as best friends? No, EJ pushed the thought away, they had been no a few dates before and being best friends they knew a lot about each other, what if she rejected him?
That might happen EJ still had no idea what a girl as amazing as Gina saw in him but whatever it was he was grateful.
"Hey Eej. There you are! I got your text. What's up?" Gina asked walking over to him. EJ looked at Gina ans smiled nervously. "Gina" he began. "We've been best friends for a long time and I know we've only been on a few dates- Gina cut him off "are you breaking up with me?' "What?! No. Of course not." "then what EJ? You're making me nervous."
EJ took her hands "you're the greatest person I know. Will you be my girlfriend?" Gina said nothing for a long moment, shock was written all over her face, then she broke into a grin. "Oh thank god! I thought you were going to break up with me." EJ laughed "so?'
Gina leaned in and kissed him, EJ kissed her back. She looked into his eyes and smiled "yes"
