EJ woke up and looked at his wife and smiled. She was still sleeping, he leaned over and bushed a loose hair out of her eye. He kissed her on the forehead "hey baby, time to wake up. Big day today." Gina didn't wake up. "G." EJ said at normal volume she didn't move. He rolled his eyes and smiled he knew his wife well enough now to know that she was a heavy sleeper. "Ok well you know what I have to do." EJ pulled open the blinds, sunlight flooded the room. "Good morning world! I'm EJ Caswell and it's a beautiful day outside" EJ said in his news anchor voice. "Do you know what time it is?"

"Time to shut up and let your wife go back to sleep?" Gina said groggily, her eyes still closed. In a second she fell back asleep. EJ grabbed his guitar knowing if this didn't work nothing else would. He started to sing loudly "At Shallow Lake (There is no lake), at Shallow Lake (It's all a fake)"

"EJ!" Gina threw a pillow at him, she was smiling. EJ laughed "you want me to stop you better get up. Don't go too far into the woods or you'll be gone for good Under the stars of Shallow Lake (Shallow Lake, Shallow Lake) Shallow Lake!"

"Ok! Ok i'm up" Gina sat down on the edge of the bed and kissed him. "Happy now?"

EJ grinned "very. Hey, I had to. You could sleep though a hurricane."

Gina grinned "I have actually slept though a few natural disasters. With my mom's job and all when your constantly surrounded by them you get used to it. What was with the wake up call?"

"The doctor appointment, the ultrasound? It's in a half an hour." EJ said

"Right." Gina remembered "I guess I forgot, pregnancy brain you know how it is."

EJ sat down next to her. "Four months today." Gina put her hand on her belly, she was just starting to show. "I know. It's exciting."

A half an hour later they were at the doctors office. The doctor put some gel on Gina's belly and got the wand on it and looked at the screen. "Ok there's your baby." EJ and Gina looked at the screen "wow." Gina whispered EJ squeezed her hand she looked at him he had tears in his eyes and he was smiling. "Everthing looks great so far. Do you two want to know the gender?"

"No that's ok, we want it to be a surprise." EJ explained "so Gina how are you feeling?" the doctor asked "getting exercise, taking those prenatal vietnams?"

Gina nodded "yeah. I'm a dancer so I'm usually i'm pretty active. Although Lately every time I dance I feel pretty sick afterword.. Is that normal?"

"You two know by now that this is a high risk pregnancy." the doctor started to say EJ and Gina nodded "does your dancing get pretty intense?"

"I mean i'm a professional dancer, so yeah it does."

"Do you push yourself to the limit a lot?"

"Sometimes she can get pretty intense, a lot of the time actually. She just works really hard." EJ said

"It's kind of how I was raised." Gina added

"It's really good that you're getting exercise Gina, I would say though for your well being and the baby's you take it easy for a while, try to relax. Try not to get too stressed out."

"So no dance… for nine months?" Gina asked

"Just for the health and well being of you and the baby and this pregnacny I would say that this is the best option."

Gina sighed "ok." she looked at their baby on the screen, no dance for nine months was going to suck big time, but being pregant and starting a family with the man she loved was what she had wanted so badly for the past five years. EJ noticed she looked disappointed and squeezed her hand. "I'm ok" Gina whispered squeezing it back. The couple looked at the screen "is the baby- EJ started the doctor looked at the screen "the baby's sucking it's thumb. We think thumb sucking is gentic, did ether of you suck your thumb as kids?"

"I did up untill I was five." EJ said "it really messed with my teeth, I had braces for three years."

"Aw." Gina grinned EJ smiled at her.

"Do you guys want to hear the heartbeat?"

"We would love to" EJ said soon a fast whoosing sound filled the room. "Wow." Gina whispered EJ kissed her on the forehead. "That's our baby."

"The baby has a strong heartbeat." The doctor said "so everything looks ok?" EJ asked nervously. "Everything looks great." the couple let out a sigh of relief.

EJ and Gina were at home they were sitting on the couch together. "You ok?" EJ asked her. "I'm ok. I just- everything changing. I'm still getting used to the way by body changed, now I can't dance for nine months…"

"Plus you've been having moring sickness 24/7 and your back is pretty sore." EJ added

"I can't dance for nine months, I can't go to work then can I? None of our friends had to stop working when they were pregnant."

"None of our friends are professional dancers" EJ pointed out "G you know this is different and you know why. It took us years to get pregnant we just have to be careful."

I've been dancing before I could walk, is the company even going to let me back in after nine months?"

"Of course they will, they love you over there. Plus your a permanent part of the company, you know this"

"We're having a baby. I can't not work for nine months we need the money."

"I'm sure you'll find something, I have connections in the industry I could make some calls. For now you just need to relax babe."

Gina leaned into EJ "why does everything have to be so hard?" EJ sighed "I don't know baby. I know this your an amazing person and your already taking such good care of our baby. You're going to be an incredible mom."

Gina smiled and kissed him on the cheek. He was so good she was so lucky to have him. "Its going to be hard not dancing but it took us five years to get here so giving up nine months of dance is a price i'm willing to pay."
