As it turned out, things were going to get a bit worse than Victoria had originally thought. Percy, being the snitch that he was, had written to Molly and Arthur, telling them how Victoria had been sorted into Slytherin.
Molly and Arthur had each sent Victoria different letters, Arthur hadn't expressed disappointment of any kind whatsoever, he just asked if Victoria liked her classes and if she had made any friends.
However, Molly on the other hand was a bit different. While she didn't expressly say that she was disappointed in Victoria, she did say that it was a shame that she wasn't with Ron in Gryffindor.
After learning that Percy had been the one that had outed her, Victoria refused to speak to him.
"I mean, they were going to find out eventually." Ron pointed out to her. Victoria was currently in the courtyard with him and Harry. Thankfully Ron and the twins weren't total pricks like Percy was, George had expressed sympathy because she had to be in the same house as Draco Malfoy.
"I know that they were going to find out eventually Ron, but it would have been nice if the news had come from me and not that rat of a brother of ours. Then again, I don't think that Percy has ever liked me all that much anyway, so it was only a matter of time before he found something on me to tattle about. "
"Why doesn't Percy like you?" Harry asked curiously.
"Probably because of who my parents are, I don't know." Victoria shrugged her shoulders. "I don't really care all that much about him anyway, he's always been a bit of a jerk, but then he got that prefect badge and it's like he was given the Arse of the Year award and decided to live up to the name."
Ron let out a snort of laughter. "I'm sure that Fred and George could hex that on him, somewhere."
"I may have to talk to them about that. Later though. What's it like being in Gryffindor, boys?"
"Loud," Harry said. "Really loud, it's like you're at a football match that never ends."
"Football?" Victoria frowned at the term. "Is that like, a Muggle sport or something?"
"Uh, yeah. Basically, you have this black and white ball and you just kick it around a field, trying to get it into a net."
"Kind of like Quidditch then, it would probably be a lot more fun if you were on brooms though."
"Speaking of brooms, we need to get to flying class." Ron said. "It's going to be our first lesson, and I don't know about you lot, but I would rather not be late and miss important information on how to fly those things. The last thing that I need is to not know what I'm doing and fall on my face from a hundred feet in the air."
Victoria laughed at that. "Oh come on Ron, it won't be that bad. You've flown brooms at home, after all."
"Yeah, but that's different, Mum wouldn't let me fly above fifty feet."
"You're going to be fine. Now that Longbottom kid on the other hand I'm not so sure about. The poor kid is always such a nervous wreck."
"Maybe he wouldn't be so nervous if he wasn't such an idiot."
Victoria let out a sigh. "Can't I just have one day, just one day, without Draco and his mouth? Is that really so much to ask for?" She muttered under her breath before turning around. "Malfoy, I am not going to deal with you today."
"Oh yeah, and what are you going to do about it Lestrange? Absolutely nothing, that's what."
Victoria then whipped out her wand. "I wouldn't be so sure about that, Malfoy."
"You're not going to do anything, we're not allowed to use our wands unless we're in class."
Victoria rolled her eyes. "Malfoy, I've lived with Fred and George ever since I was a baby, you really think that I would give a damn about following the rules."
"Miss Lestrange." The strict voice of Minerva McGonagall cut through. "What on earth do you think that you're doing?"
"She's trying to hex me, Professor." Draco piped up. "I didn't even do anything, I was just talking."
"You were talking bad about Neville, you little gobshite!"
"Miss Lestrange!" McGonagall gasped, looking absolutely flabbergasted. "I have no idea what makes you think that you are allowed to use such language on school grounds, and I'm sure that your parents would be none too happy if they found out that you were speaking in such a way. Come with me, we're going to speak to your Head of House about your behaviour."
Victoria groaned. Of all the people to lead her house, it just had to be Snape. This was going to be wonderful. They were barely a week into school, and she had already gotten into trouble. Granted it was because of Draco, but still.
Draco smirked as Victoria walked behind McGonagall.
"And I shall deal with you later, Mister Malfoy. Speaking ill of other students is not to be tolerated either."
Despite the fact that she was still in trouble, Victoria couldn't help but smirk a bit. At least it wasn't just her that was going to be getting into trouble. She wasn't looking forward to the talk with Snape, though. She could only imagine how that was going to go down.
