"EJ." Gina nudged him with her shoulder "wake up" EJ slowly opened his eyes and looked at her. "Babe I love you but it's midnight.."

"I know, i'm sorry I can't sleep. I'm just really hungry."

"Do you want me to make you something?"

Gina nodded. "What do you want?"

"I've really been craving pancakes." Gina's stomach growled loudly as if to prove the point. EJ smiled sleepy at her and got up, Gina followed him. "What are you doing?" EJ asked "helping you."

"That's really sweet but you can go back to bed, it's ok."

"I was thinking Pancake Jamboree?" Gina smiled EJ grinned "I would love that."

EJ got the pancake batter ready and Gina turned on the stove and plugged in the speaker for music.

Born to be brave blasting out of the speakers.

"Wow. that's a throwback." EJ said "hey remember homecoming?" Gina asked "how could I forget? you poured a drink on my head" EJ laughed

"Cause I was born to be brave

EJ looked at his wife, grinned and stating singing with her "Made my mistakes

And they gave me wings to fly to my castle in the sky" EJ gently spun Gina around, she laughed soon they were singing at the top of there lungs

"I think these are done." EJ said "thank goodness i'm starving" Gina said

"Could we watch a movie?"

EJ grinned "you always fall asleep at movies."

"I won't this time."

EJ laughed "ok"

They both piled there plates high with pancakes and sat down on the couch Gina had banana, chocolate chips and whipped cream on hers. She looked at EJ and smirked "don't judge me."

EJ grinned "I wasn't going to. So what movie do you want to watch?"

"High School Musical"

"Good choice."

They put the movie on. "Thank you, for doing this with me I know-it was a lot to ask." Gina said "there's no one else I would rather eat pancakes at midnight with" EJ replied he gave her a quick kiss on the lips Gina smiled and kissed him back. EJ looked back at the screen "you know what I realized?"

"What?"

"Taylor and Chad date in this movie, and since we were Taylor and Chad in high school…"

"We've fake dated three times." Gina said "huh. That's funny."

"Remeber when we first started dong this? Pancake Jamboree?" EJ asked "it was way back in high school shortly after I picked you up at the airport"

"The co–ed sleepover at Ashlyn's. Of course I remember."

HOW EVER MANY YEARS AGO THIS WAS..

It was the middle of second semester, The East High kids had been working super hard on Beauty And The Beast to try to beat North High. Ashyln's parents were out of town and she agreed they all needed a fun break so she invited everyone over for a sleepover. All the boys were in one room and all the girls were in another.

"EJ." Gina shook him awake EJ's eyes opened "Gina? This is the guys room! You know you can't stay in here!" he whispered trying not to wake anyone else. "Do you want to help me make pancakes for everyone?" she asked

"That sounds fun." EJ got up and followed Gina to the kitchen "nice slippers" Gina grinned EJ had on bright yellow duck slippers. "They were the only ones I could find ok? plus these are actually really comfy."

Gina laughed and got out ingernets to make the pancakes. "You can help with getting the toppings ready"

"What?"

"Chocolate chips, blueberries whatever Ash has in the fridge. This way we can make the pancakes first and everyone can add hat they want on them after."

"Good Idea." EJ said pulling out things from the fridge he took a glance at Gina. "hey are you wearing-

Gina froze and looked at him, she was wearing his duke sweatshirt. Gina and EJ had gotten closer over the time at North High they weren't dating or anything.. Yet. had wearing EJ's sweatshirt taken it too far?

Gina felt her cheeks heat up. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have if you want it back-"

EJ put his hands on her shoulders and cut her off. "You can keep it, it looks way better on you then me anyway." he smiled they both looked at each other and blushed.

"Do you mind if I put some music on?" EJ asked "it might help me stay awake."

"Go ahead."

"Hey G, how did you learn how to make pancakes?"

"As a kid my mom was always working and sometimes I had to make breakfast for myself so I learned it from youtube. I learned a lot of things to pass the time on youtube."

EJ grinned, that was cute. "Right. Only child just like me huh?"

Gina froze. EJ didn't know it but he had bought up a really sensitive topic for her. "Uh no actually." Gina said foucing on pouring the batter into the pan. "I'm the baby of the family. Eej- I have a brother."

EJ looked at her "what? Really?"

"Yeah. A older brother, like way older then me."

"What's his name?"

"Jamie."

"How much older is he?"

"I think he was ten when I was born.."

"Wow. That is older." EJ said

"I'm not sure but I think I was a bit of a surprise. You know?"

EJ nodded "do you miss him?"

Well that was a loaded question "yes. No. I don't know.. He was never really in my life as a kid he still never is. He got a job and he never looked back."

"I'm sorry."

"Me too."

"I can't imagine anyone how wouldn't want to be around you" EJ said

Gina smiled "that's really sweet"

EJ smiled back "i'm not kidding" he turned on the music "ok let's get this Pancake Jambroee started!" Gina giggled.

They sang and danced around each other, making pancakes and having a good time. Soon they were so into it when the song its on came on from Camp Rock they forgot about being quiet. Gina started the song "I hope you're ready for the time of your life

EJ spun Gina around and dipped her. Gina laughed and fell back into his arms. "What are you two doing?' they both looked at the door, everyone was standing in the doorway watching them. Ashyn srimked at them waiting for a response. "We made pancakes for everyone.." Gina said trailing off "and your tangled up in my cousins arms because?"

"We were dancing" EJ said his voice going high at the end.

"Ok" Ashlyn grinned "i'll leave you lovebrids to it."

END OF FLASHBACK

Gina was asleep curled up like a cat on the couch. EJ laughed sofly and smiled kissing his wife on the forehead. "I love you" he whispered.
