This takes place in season 1 the day before Gina leaves

Gina had almost packed up the rest of her boxes, she sighed looking at the reman of her life once agin being uprooted because of her mom's work, I can't believe I thought things would be different this time. Gina thought to herself. The doorbell rang, her mom wouldn't ring the doorbell… "Hello?" Gina opened the door she didn't except to find EJ Caswell of all people standing there. "EJ?"

"Hey, can I come in?"

"Yeah." Gina let him come inside. EJ sat down on the couch beside her a few feet away, having only know each other for a few months it was a bit awkward. "What are you doing here?" Gina asked him

"If you want me to go I can-"

Gina grabbed his hand. "Stay." EJ looked down at her hand on his arm then looked up at her, they both blushed and looked away, Gina let go of his arm. "I mean.. I could use the company."

EJ looked at Gina's house and all the boxes piled everywhere. "It sucks that you have to leave."

Gina sighed "i know. But this is my life, every four months I get a new place to live. A new state, a new school."

"The show's not going to be the same without you."

"EJ you don't have to say that."

EJ looked at her "i'm serious, you're a force of nature Gina." Gina looked at EJ, this boy she had known for only a few short months, he wasn't the self obsessed senior that he was anymore. He was kind and sweet and he tried so hard with everything.

"I um, I got you something." EJ pulled a picture out of his bag. Gina took it. It was the cast picture that they took to promote the show. "I figured you might want this, to remember."

"I don't think I'll ever forget this" Gina said truthfully "these four mouths have been the happiest of my life… and now it's over."

"What if it didn't have to be?' EJ said softly

"What?"

"What if you could stay?'

"EJ I would love to but my mom.. I have to go, I'd have nowhere to stay here. I'm 16 I can't live on my own just yet." Gina looked over at him "why do you care so much?"

"I care because we're friends Gina."

That took her off guard. "We're friends?" She smiled EJ looked at her and grinned "heck yeah we are I wouldn't fake date just anyone you know."

"I should probably finish packing." Gina sighed "big trip tomorrow."

"Yeah I get that." EJ got up and went to the door.

At the last second he turned around "for what's it's worth being wonderstudies with you was the most fun i've ever had."

Gina tired to smile but it sild off, thinking about leaving everyone again after she had finally started to make some friends, and moving to another new place was just too much, and whatever was going on with EJ… she was actually starting to like him but now she wouldn't get to see it go anywhere, Gina was pretty sure EJ liked her too.

She started sobbing so hard she couldn't talk. EJ wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight. Gina stiffened up she hadn't remembered the last time someone hugged her, let alone a boy she had only known for four months. "Hey it's ok." EJ said "it's all gonna be ok." Gina hugged him back, she felt warm and safe in his arms. "Thank you." she whispered

He pulled back after a few minutes. "Sorry I should have asked..'

"It's ok, it was nice. How did you know what to do?'

"I get panic attacks." EJ said quickly. Knowing not to pry, Gina nodded and looked at him. "Thank you… for everything EJ these past few mouths have been amazing.. Tell all the wildcats break a leg for me ok?'

EJ grinned "I will. I just wish…"

"I know, me too."

Gina pulled him into a tight hug. "Goodbye EJ."

"Bye Gina, wherever you end up you'll be ok." EJ smiled at her and left.

Gina looked at the picture frame and found the back was loose, she pulled it apart. Pictures fill out, Gina picked them up and smiled it was all pictures of Gina and EJ at prom and rehearsal there was even a picture of them in costume as Chad and Taylor. A note was written on the back

Gina looked at the pictures and smiled.

EJ was outside thinking about Gina and how unfair it was that she always had to leave everything behind and miss the show that show had worked so hard on. But what if she doesn't have to? EJ thought to himself without even thinking about he texted Ashlyn and then ordered a one way plane ticket online from Louisiana to Salt lake. "You're not going to miss out this time Gina."
