Gina and EJ were at Target shopping for baby stuff. "What about this?' EJ asked he held up a little onesie with little teddy bear faces on it. "Ok that is adorable" Gina grinned "we should get it right?' EJ asked "oh yes" Gina put it in the cart. "Why do they have to make everything so cute?" EJ wondered "I know" Gina agreed "we haven't even had the baby yet and I want to buy everything in the store."
Suddenly EJ got tackled in a hug from behind. "Hey Rocketman!"
EJ grinned "Gadget!" he turned around to look at her "what are you doing here?'
Maddox grinned "I was about to ask you the same thing" Jet ran up to them "you can't just go ruining off like that.. Oh hey Gina, hey EJ."
"Hey Jet." Gina said
They all paused for a second, they hadn't seen each other sense Gina and EJ's wedding. Maddox and Jet had both gotten married, Maddox was married to Madison foe five years now and was a stage manager, Jet had met a nice guy named Miguel in college and had been married for three years, he was a songwriter. "So how have you guys been?" Maddox asked "busy" Gina said "busy but good."
"Congratulations" Jet said "thank you" EJ smiled "so what are you guys doing here?"
Gina looked to their cart that was also full of baby supplies. "I'm helping Maddie get some last minute baby things" Jet said
"Maddox you're pregnant?" Gina asked
"No" Maddox said "but my wife is"
"That's awesome! How far along is Maddsion?" Gina asked
"Nine months she's on bedrest and due any day." Maddox smiled
Maddox turned to her brother "look what I found." she held up a stuffed duck "it's just like the one you have at home' she teased
"Maddie.." Jet trailed off embarrassed
"I'm just giving you a hard time bro" she playfully punched him in the shoulder, he laughed and punched her back.
Gina felt a little jealously mixed with sadness watching them, they were so easy going with each other they made it look so easy, she felt the familiar longing of something she had never had with her brother.
Maddox's phone ran. "Hey babe! We were just talking about you." Maddox's smiled slowly disappeared "wait right now?" Maddox tossed Jet the keys, Jet jumped into action "I'll start the car and meet you around the front!" he ran off as fast as his legs could carry him. "How long? Ok, just keep breathing and we'll be there soon."
Maddox shoved the phone in her pocket "oh my god it's happineing, oh my god. I'm gonna be a mom." Maddox said with a mixture of fear and happiness in her voice "I have to go." Maddox ran out the door as fast as she could. "Good luck!" EJ called to her.
"That's gonna be us in a few short months.." Gina said EJ took her hand "whatever happens we have each other." he smiled
At around one in the morning, EJ's phone buzzed. It was a text from Jet.
Hey EJ, I know you're probably still asleep but I just wanted you to know that Madison had the baby. It's a girl and she's perfect, Maddison and the baby are both doing great, I would have let Maddox tell you the news herself, but her and Maddsion are pretty exhausted. The baby's name is Victoria.
EJ smiled and texted back: that's awesome, i'm so glad everything went ok. Congrats on being an uncle and tell Maddox and Maddsion congratulations from us.
Thanks. I'll tell them. Jet sent a picture with the text Maddsion and Maddox were laying on the hospital bed together holding the newborn in their arms.
"G" Gina woke up. "Mm?"
"Maddison had the baby." EJ showed her the texts and the picture. Gina smiled "aww. That's so exciting."
I love Jet and Maddox so much I had to sneak them in there somehow:) Also ever sense I saw Jet on screen I was like, he's gay. I feel like that scene in the woods with him and Ricky got kind of flirty? That's just my option. I'm still team Rini for life, I just think that Jet's gay and was flirting with Ricky at summer camp that one time. What do you guys think? Do you think Maddox and Jet should have gotten more screen time and character development? I do. Season 3 was ok I feel like a lot was rushed and a lot of the drama was a bit forced. I loved everytime Gina and EJ were together and Kortney and Ashlyn's storylines but besides that.. I don't know. Season 3 just didn't do it for me. What did you guys think about season 3?
