Authors Notes- Here I am back again once more with yet another update to Victims Of Fate. As you can figure I only own the plot, Joyride, Killshot, Lunatic, and Vortex. Everything else belongs to Hasbro. Now, that we got that away here is Chapter Three. I hope you enjoy.
Chapter Three: Autobot Earth.
It was quiet. Bumblebee thought as the Autobot scout drove down the abandoned street, abandoned and burned out husks of cars lined the road as he drove on by. The charred remains or humans were seated in those cars. Courtesy of him and his fellow Autobots, of course. Taking over this planet had been far too easy, Bumblebee thought as he scanned the area.
The area had once been beautiful, had once been surrounded by trees and other meaningless Earth things. But now it was nothing more than dead trees and destroyed buildings. This planet, Bumblebee mused, now belong to the Autobots. Or more to the point to Lord Prime.
Granted, every now and again the humans would form a resistance and would pop up here and there and try to fight against the Autobots. Something he always saw as pointless on the humans part, if he was being honest, it seemed that the natives of this planet had yet to learn who their planet now belonged to. In Bumblebee's humble opinion the humans should just accept their fate. But they never did and on more than one occasion he, Smokescreen, and several of his fellow Autobots would partake in putting them down.
It was a fun past time, though the higher ups such as Lord Prime or Commander Ultra Magnus didn't seem to appreciate them leaving their posts to slaughter a group of tiny humans. But he, and the others found it good fun. Not, Bumblebee thought as he rounded a corner, as fun as taking down a Decepticon though. Speaking of Decepticons, it seemed that Megatron and his goons had fallen quiet lately. Perhaps they had retreated back to Cybertron with their tails between their legs.
An amusing thought, but impossible. Lord Megatron was just as stubborn as Lord Prime, Megatron wouldn't give up so easily, nor would they ever leave this planet as long as the Autobots were here. The Decepticon leader seemed to have a soft spot for the natives of this planet. And Bumblebee had to admit, as he looked in his backseat. Dull, brown eyes staring back at him. Some of them seemed...interesting. The boy, Rafael, Bumblebee found his name was, not that it really mattered, Raf wasn't his friend. Raf, was in fact lucky enough to be his pet/plaything whenever the mood fit.
Bumblebee didn't know why he had felt drawn to the small boy, compared to Arcee's pet, Jack or Bulkhead's Miko, Raf was meek, quiet. He hardly ever seemed to challenge him the way Miko liked to test her luck with Bulkhead, or was defiant like Jack with Arcee. Hell, Bumblebee could count the times either Jack or Miko tried to escape, and hand managed to drag Raf into their little plans. Meek though he was Raf was crafty, and for a child of his age freakishly intelligent, at lease according to what Ratchet had told him.
But, despite that it didn't stop Bumblebee from nipping any other escape attempts from Raf in the bud by having Ratchet install a chip inside of Raf's head, just behind his left ear. Preventing him from acting out. And now, little Raf was Bumblebee's perfect little pet. At least until Bumblebee got bored of him that was. Sadly, neither Arcee or Bulkhead followed his example, and it seem that almost every single day they were having problems with Jack or Miko, well, Bumblebee thought, that was their problem.
However, before the scout could continue this train of thought, he looked up and caught sight of a Cybertronian space craft plummeting from the sky. A small, stark white ship big enough for one. Allowing Raf out to step out before transforming, scooping up the little human as he watched as the ship crashed into the water.
As he watched this he noted that the white ship had no emblem that would tell him who the occupant was sided with. A Neutral, no doubt. Bumblebee thought, looking up once more, his optics widening when he caught sight of two more ships. The all too familiar red Autobot emblems were itched on the ships as they landed close to where the first ship crashed.
And out stepped two very familiar Autobots. Killshot and Lunatic. Bumblebee watched as Lunatic stepped out of his ship, the sun shining off of black and red armor, blue optics standing out against a black face plate. Clutched in his hands were his trademark blades. Bumblebee knew that Lunatic had an affinity for blades or any size or shape. And Bumblebee had always marveled at how well the Autobot used them.
And then there was Killshot. Bumblebee turned to watch as the grey and yellow Autobot stepped out of his own ship. Blue optics narrowed as he glared out at the ruined ship as it sunk further and further into the deep blue water. When suddenly something emerged from the water, and blue and silver Cybertronian popped its head up. White optics flickering slightly as he reached out and moved to climb out of the water.
Water droplets dotted his armor as he did so. Bumblebee looked the newcomer over, noting energon leaking from a crack in his head, energon spilling down his plain white face plate. Blinking a few times the newcomer looked up and met Bumblebee's curious gaze.
Bumblebee's optics narrowing as he looked down at the Neutral. Saying nothing he raised his blaster, as Killshot and Lunatic followed suit...
This was it. Joyride thought, as he found himself finally reaching the planet after what seemed like forever. And now, it seemed his poor ship had suffered enough as the engines finally gave out, sending him plummeting to the ground below. What a way to go. He thought, as he gritted his denta so hard he swore he felt them crack. Get chased all the way from Cybertron by some Autobot hunting dogs. And now, after all that I'm going to die in some fiery explosion.
Squeezing his optics shut Joyride braced for impact as he hit the water. It seemed that luck was still on his side, when he didn't end up getting burned to ashes. But Joyride knew things were far from over. Swimming to the surface he broke the surface, his optics widening when he found himself staring up at his pursuers, blasters and blades pointed at him as he looked up into brilliant blue optics.
Autobots.
Or course it was, not like he had been expecting the Decepticons to be welcoming him, if there were any Decepticons on this strange planet. Swallowing thickly Joyride gathered what was left of his frazzled nerves, and forced a shaky smile on his face plate.
"W-w-well it's been fun fellas, but I really should be going now." As he said this Joyride did something he knew would no doubt doom him, he turned his back on the Autobot hunters.
What choice did he really have? It was either this or roll over and give up, and despite being unarmed and not really much of a fighter giving up wasn't much of an option for him. However, Joyride never expected escaping would be easy, even as he came face to face with a yellow and black Autobot with his blaster level with his chest plate.
A strange, vacant eyed organic looking creature sat perched on his shoulder. And just like that Joyride's luck ran out. Swallowing thickly Joyride could do nothing as the yellow Autobot grabbed a hold of his arm, and dragged him out of the water. So much for trying to escape the war, and from Optimus Prime's tyranny. It would seem that the planet he had crashed landed on had ended up being occupied by the Autobots in the end.
Dropping to the ground at the yellow 'bots feet. Blasters and blades still trained on him as Joyride looked up at the overcast sky. Shutting his optics Joyride sighed as he waited for the blast that would end his sad, pathetic life...
Anger swelled in Dreadwing's chest plate as he watched from the shadows. Spotting the Autobot scout, Bumblebee roaming around the area. And Dreadwing just knew that wherever the young scout was he knew there was bound to be trouble. The large Decepticon had spotted the Autobot during his own scouting mission, and had ended up following him. And thank the All Spark he had, and he had witness as the unidentified ship came crashing into the lake. Followed closely by two Autobot ships.
Dreadwing scowled as he watched as they landed, two Autobot hunters emerging. Anger swelling in his chest plate once more as he guessed who they might be. Before Prime had left Cybertron along with his mindless, and brutish followers he had instructed those who chose to stay behind to hunt down anyone and everyone who dare defy the Autobot cause.
Be it stray Decepticons, or Neutrals. And this seemed to be the case, and if Dreadwing had to guess it would seem some poor Neutral had tried to escape, and had drawn the attention of the hunters. And had found himself on Autobot Earth. Poor slagger. Dreadwing thought, the Decepticon bit down on his bottom lip as he slowly crept slower to the scene, something that proved difficult given his size. Something he tried to convince Megatron of many times when the Decepticon leader sent him on these missions.
But since Starscream was currently in the clutches of the Autobots, and Primus knew what the SIC was going through, and with Soundwave otherwise preoccupied with various other tasks along with the others that only left Dreadwing. And at some point Dreadwing decided the best thing he could do was suck it up and deal with it. And so far the blood thirsty Autobots hadn't noticed he was in the area, so good thing for him in the long run.
Dreadwing watched as the blue and silver Neutral was pulled from the water, and was now face to face with his soon-to-be executioners. Dreadwing watched, optics glued on the Neutral, half expecting them to break down in tears, begging for their lives or mercy or anything like so many before him. This Neutral seemed eerily calm.
Dreadwing tensed when he felt a hand clap him on the shoulder. Causing the Decepticon to spin around, brandishing his sword as he found himself face to face with a grinning Vortex. The orange and purple seeker grinned up at Dreadwing, making the larger mech scowl.
"Vortex." Dreadwing whispered, sheathing his sword and turned away from the seeker.
"You know you shouldn't let your guard down. I could have been an Autobot." Vortex teased.
"Will you be quiet?" Dreadwing hissed through clenched denta shooting Vortex a look, before turning back to the scene before them.
Vortex inched closer and closer to the scene. Until Dreadwing placed a heavy hand on the youngsters shoulder, stopping him from going further. A dark look on Dreadwing's face as he looked to him. Vortex seemed to shrink down on himself, and looked away.
Rookie's. Dreadwing thought as he inched closer to the scene before him, ready to strike, beside him Vortex was practically vibrating with excitement, blasters aimed at the Autobots before them. Dreadwing hoped the kid wouldn't blow this as they inched closer and closer. Until-
"Now" Dreadwing shouted, opening fire on Bumblebee, as the yellow scout prepared to end the Neutral's life.
Bumblebee cried out, as a blast hit him square in the chest. The little human that was perched on his shoulder tumbling down into Bumblebee's out stretched hand, as the scout quickly recovered.
Blue optics narrowed. Now all optics were on Dreadwing and the young rookie, Vortex. The youngster was practically shaking, as he glared at the three Autobots, and their captive. By now the Neutral was looking in their direction, shocked. Something told Dreadwing that he hadn't expected anyone to come to his rescue.
"Well, well, looky here." "One of the Autobots said, placing a hand on his hip. An extremely deadly looking blade clutched in his other hand. "Looks like some Decepticons decided to join the fun, or surrender." He looked to the one brandishing the rifle. "Or get in our way."
The one with the rifle had a smirk etched on his face.
Bumblebee fired on Dreadwing and Vortex. The two Decepticons ducking behind some rocks as he did so. Gritting his denta Dreadwing jumped out, and fired on trio of Autobots. Dreadwing biting back a curse as one with the rifle returned fire. A blast catching Dreadwing in the right shoulder. Vortex watched on completely frozen as the fight went on, for all of his bluster he was still very inexperienced when it came to battles and war and such.
Hands trembling as he watched as Dreadwing, strong and fearless Dreadwing rushed out ahead of him. While Vortex remained rooted to the spot, fuel pump thundering in his chest as he gritted his denta and forced himself to join Dreadwing. Firing on the black and red Autobot, knocking the blade from his hands. Earning an enraged growl from the Autobot in question.
Vortex let out a triumphant laugh, only to have the Autobot lunge for him. Growling as he hit the ground Vortex drove his knee into their midsection. It would seem that his and Dreadwing's little scouting mission had turned into something more...
Well this was...something, Joyride thought, as he opened his optics once more, finding himself staring up at a couple of Decepticons. Had they also witness him crash landing? Or had they been in the area before hand? He had no idea, but he did know one thing. He was doing no good just sitting here and in the way as well. Biting down on his bottom lip he slowly got to his feet, and slinked away from the ensuing chaos. Crying out as a blast went astray, sending him flying. Grunting Joyride hit the ground hard, kicking up dust and dirt as he did so. Sputtering Joyride watched as the larger of the Decepticons lunged at the grey and yellow one. Knocking him to the ground, as the Autobot opened fire.
Meanwhile the black and red was focused on the purple and orange Decepticon. The youngster, in Joyride's optics, seemed rather inexperienced. Joyride winced as the black and red Autobot slammed his fist into the youngsters faceplates. He needed to get out of here before anyone noticed he was gone. This time there was no stray blasts knocking him ass over tea kettle. Glancing over his shoulder. He watched as the large Decepticon took down the silent one.
The Autobot in question was oddly silent as he collapsed to his knees. While the rookie Decepticon cried out for help as the Autobot he had been fighting against pinned him roughly to the ground. Turning away from the scene before him, Joyride came face to face with Bumblebee. Obviously the scout had snuck up on him when his back was turned.
"Thought you could sneak away from us, huh?" The scout said, thrusting his blaster in Joyride's face.
Joyride swallowed thickly, as he took a few step back, optics never leaving the yellow Autobot.
"I don't think so, after all." A smirk crept to Bumblebee's faceplate, optics narrowed. "Lord Prime will want to meet you." As those words escaped Bumblebee's mouth, making Joyride's fuel run cold, his poor fuel pump thundering in his chest.
No, he thought as Bumblebee reached out for him. Hand wrapping around his right arm, pulling him close. Their faces inches apart. When Joyride noticed movement behind Bumblebee. The larger Decepticon had somehow managed to sneak up behind them. A scowl etched on his face plate as he reached for his sword. The blade pressed firmly against Bumblebee's neck. A look of shock etched on the young scouts faceplate.
A look that quickly melted away, as Bumblebee whirled around, and swung his fist as the larger Decepticon leaped back.
It never seemed to end, did it? Joyride thought, as he turned away, casting one final glance over his shoulder. Seeing both of his pursuers down, and the young Decepticon was nowhere to be seen. Joyride saw his chance. Biting down on his bottom lip once more, Joyride slipped into the shadows and disappeared.
Leaving the Autobots and Decepticons to their own devices...
Authors Notes- And here is Chapter Three. Sorry, it was kind of meh, I just got off work and I'm burned out. This week was brutal, but I hope you liked it.
