The night he came home, Sora was in true bliss. He didn't pay much attention to the world around him, he just made his way to his bed, tired from the day. He slept like a rock that night, so much so that he ended up over sleeping and having to run out of the house. Didn't even have enough time to have breakfast other than a leftover piece of toast which he scarfed down while he was on his skateboard.
Sora ran through the halls accidentally bumping into a boy before running off to his locker.
"Sorry man, in a rush." Sora called.
"... hmph hetero creep." The young man said under his breath.
Sora got his books and put his board away before sprinting to his class. And by all accounts, he was able to make it before the bell. He breathed a sigh of relief as he went about his day. Throughout his day Sora would notice something similar. That kid he bumped into earlier. Every time he was giving Sora the stink eye. Not really sure how to feel about it, Sora was mainly confused. He did say sorry to the guy. But it wasn't something he would really worry about.
Soon he would be in lunch, trying to rest a little as he was a bit more stressed than he normally was.
"Hey King." Chelsea said, kissing him on the cheeks from behind.
"Hey Queen." Sora replied, returning the kiss.
Soon their friends would join them and Lucy quickly got underway. Sora reached into his backpack, realizing something was missing. He shot up and started patting and digging in his pockets, only to realize with a typical reaction.
"Mother fucker." Sora exclaimed.
"Hm? What's wrong Sora?" Marcy asked.
"I was in such a rush this morning, I forgot my lunch." Sora explained.
"Well that sounds troubling, but you could always get the cafeteria food." Alan suggested.
"Yeah, well I also left my wallet at home too. That's why I was digging through my pockets." Sora sat back down in defeat as his stomach let out a big growl. "Missing breakfast and lunch is gonna kill my diet."
"Here." Alex said, pushing his fries to Sora. "They may not be the best thing to eat, but at least it's something."
Sora smiled as he dug into those fries. "Thanks Alex, I owe you."
"Are you sure you wanna eat those?" A voice said from behind. Those who were at the school for a while tensed up a bit. The boy was skinny, dressed like Mandark from Dexter's lab, all the way down to the bad bowl cut.
"I don't see why I would. I'm hungry, and I assume Alex isn't like Pigpen from Peanuts." Sora shot back.
"Hmph, well I wouldn't expect a homophobe like you to know anything." The voice said.
This caught the table off guard. It got really tense right then. Alex wasn't liking what was happening.
"Whoa whoa whoa, Homophobe? Me? You better have some damn good evidence to back that up." Sora got up and saw who was talking. It was that kid from earlier.
"You're straight right?" The kid asked.
"Yeah?" Sora questioned
"All the evidence I need." The kid shot back.
"What kind of bullshit is that?" Sora asked, more confused than anything.
"You're straight, all straight people are homophobic by default. Plain and simple." The kid said smugly.
Sora had to do a double take. That logic was trying to process in her brain.
"Sora, just ignore him. It's really not worth it." Valliry said, trying so hard to ignore the kid.
"Oooohhh the fake carpet muncher has something to say?" The kid said, getting close to Valliry.
Valliry tensed up, her hand basically trying to break the table with how hard she was trying not to choke slam the kid.
"You wanna repeat that asshole?" Sora was starting to get pissed off. Here this kid was. Some nobody attacking his friends, he was not gonna let that slide. Especially when he was using the same homophobia he was accusing Sora of.
"It's best to just ignore it Sora, you're just fueling the flames." Alex said, trying to de escalate.
"Oh so now the confused tranny has something to say?" the kid said, getting close to Alex's face.
Alex grit his teeth, trying so hard not to hit this guy. He really had a good ability to get under people's skin.
"Boy you best get out of my friend's face before I send you back to The Night Chicago Died." Sora said, getting really annoyed at this point. So much so that his old New York dialect was starting to come out.
"Is that a threat?" the kid asked.
"Make it whatever you want asshole. I don't care who the hell you are, or what the hell you do. Now get outta my friends and my face so we can eat in peace." Sora said in a demanding tone. He really wanted to punch this asshole in the face, but he learned from Darren. He wasn't gonna fall into that again, especially since his parents would definitely kill him for getting in trouble again.
The kid stuck his nose in the air and walked off carrying his lunch.
"Oh man, Sora are you crazy?" Alex said in an exasperated tone.
"What?" Sora asked.
"Do you remember that guy we told you about yesterday?" Valliry asked.
"Wait, that was Jamie?" Sora said in confusion.
Everyone at the table nodded. Causing Sora to snort before busting out in laughter.
"That, hahaha, that pasty knucklefucker? That's the big bad Jamie you're all scared of?" Sora laughed for a good 2 minutes.
"Not gonna be laughing like that when he gets done with you." Alan explained.
"Oh please, that Mandark wannabe? What can he do? Lily would be able to take him and she's only 1." Sora finished laughing, and now was serious.
This guy apparently wrecked people's lives. He looks like one of those Reddit assholes who mod subreddits.
"I'm not gonna be scared by some guys who looks like stereotypical keyboard warrior." Sora added, sitting back down.
"Either way, thanks for standing up for us Sora." Cheryl said.
"Yeah, even with the shit I said, it's nice to know we got someone who has our backs." Alex added.
"Maybe this'll cause more people to stand up to Jamie." Valliry stated.
"If I may change the subject." Alan said as he brought out a flyer for the local fair. "Since school will be over soon, I thought we could have some fun as a group at this fair coming to town."
Everyone started talking about it, actually feeling excited about it. After the bell sounded everyone went on their way, with Sora stopping by the bathroom, which was good for him since he had study hall. After finishing up he started singing "Gay or European" from Legally Blonde. Not realizing that Jamie had followed him in. He gave little mind if he even noticed at all and made his way outside, unaware what Jamie was about to do.
Sora went about his last couple of periods normally until he was called down to Principal Rivers office. What, but he didn't even do anything? When Sora got to the principal's office, he was shocked to see Jamie there, all bloody and beaten.
"Jesus dude, what happened to you?" Sora asked.
Jamie didn't answer and principal Rivers did not look happy.
"That's why you're here Sora." Principal Rivers said, leaving Sora with a confused look on his face.
Rivers explained that Jamie got beaten up in the bathroom close to the cafeteria. Sora heard this and honestly felt bad. He didn't even know that Jamie was there, he might've stayed back if he knew that was gonna happen. But soon it all came to a head.
"And Jamie says, you were the one that did this." Principal Rivers explained.
"WHAT!?" Sora shouted in bewilderment. "Principal Rivers I swear to you I have nothing to do with this. I didn't even know Jamie was in the bathroom with me."
"You say that, but the camera says otherwise." Principal Rivers then pulled up the security footage from just outside the bathroom.
Showing Sora going into the bathroom with Jamie following not too far behind. He fast forwards 5 minutes when Sora leaves the room and Jamie doesn't. 2 minutes later another kid came in and found Jamie.
"Principal Rivers, you have to believe I didn't do this." Sora argued.
"What about that time with Darren?" Jamie squeaked out.
"Okay, first off that was different. He actually hit my girlfriend, I had every right to knock that asshole to the ground. Secondly, I didn't even know you were in there. How could I even touch you if I didn't even know you were behind me?" Sora asked, trying to make sense of all this.
"Be that as it may , with the evidence I have, I have no reason to think you didn't do this. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to suspend you for the next three days." Principal Rivers stated.
Sora's eyes went wide. Suspended? Why? He didn't do anything. Sora just looked in a state of shellshock. He grits his teeth and just leaves, slamming the door behind him. Not seeing the small smirk on Jamie's face as he left. He grabbed his backpack from the classroom and went to his locker to grab his board. He wasn't happy. He passed by the music room, causing Luna and her friends to notice him.
"Hey, wasn't that Sora?" Mazzy whispered
"Yeah, what's he doing out of class?" Sam asked.
Before they could talk anymore, the bell rang. Luna packed up her guitar and chased after Sora.
"Sora, what's wrong bro? Why are you out of class?" Luna asked, catching up to Sora.
"Not, Now, Luna." Sora said through gritted teeth. Leaving Luna and the others in the hallway as he skateboarded off the school grounds.
"Hey Luna, you see King anywhere?" Chelsea said, walking up to Luna from behind along with Alex.
"Yeah, we wanted to see if he wanted to come to mine and brainstorm for the fair coming up." Alex explained.
"He just left, he was looking super mad." Sam told them.
"What? That doesn't sound like Sora. Did something happen?" Cheryle asked.
"We don't know. All the guy said was 'Not now Luna' in a really pissed off tone, when Luna tried to talk to him." Sully explained.
"I'll talk to him when I get home. Maybe something happened in his last class. I'm sure he'll cool off when he gets home." Luna said, trying to rationalize what happened.
The two groups looked at each other before walking off, realizing there wasn't much they could do. Soon Luna would be outside with Leni and Luan, waiting for Lori to pick them up. She told the three teenagers what happened. They were a bit worried since Sora wasn't really one to get mad. After picking up the rest of their siblings they made it home. But something seemed off, the air of the house seemed, tense. As the kids reached the front door they heard their adoptive brother shouting.
"BUT I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" Sora screamed.
The kids opened the door to see Sora having an argument with their parents.
"That's not what it looked like from the video we saw." Lynn Sr interjected.
"AAAAAHHHH FORGET THIS! I SHOULD'VE JUST LEFT THIS PLACE WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE!" Sora yelled before grabbing his blazer and forcing his way past his siblings.
"Young man, you get back here right now." Rita called out.
"Eat my ass bitch!" Sora yelled back, flipping both of them off.
Rita and Lynn Sr just shook their heads.
"Mom, what the heck just happened?" Lori asked.
"Why were you and Sora fighting?" Lola added.
"Your brother got suspended for beating up another student." Lynn Sr coldly told them.
The kids looked at each other. Confused by what they had just said. The silence ended up being broken by Luan laughing.
"Hahaha, good one Mom and Dad. A bit of dark humor is always fun. Now seriously, why were you guys and Sora fighting?" Luan asked
Rita and Lynn Sr didn't say anything, causing the kids to start arguing with them.
"Mom, Dad are you two crazy? There's no way Sora would beat someone up."
"I mean, I don't think he's actually hit anyone besides Darren since he got here. And that was totally justified.
"I do not at all believe Sora of all people would beat someone up."
"There's gotta be some evidence of this? Otherwise it's just a wild accusation."
The Loud parents put their hands up, stopping the kids from arguing further.
"We got a message from principal rivers before you kids got home. Trust me kids, we didn't wanna believe it either. But the video showed something we didn't think would end up happening." Rita explained.
Soon the parents showed the kids the video in question. The younger kids were skeptical, but the video did look like what they said was true. But the older kids knew that was bullshit.
"Mom, dad, I can tell you right now Sora didn't do anything." Luna stated.
"Yeah, we know who that guy is, and there's no way Sora would've hit him." Luan added.
"And You girls know this how?" Lynn Sr asked.
"That guy that followed Sora into the bathroom, he's infamous at school. His name is Jamie." Lori said.
"He's like, totally the worst. He's in charge of the LGBT club at school and he's a total jerk." Leni added.
"He refused to let me and Sam join the community at school because we're not "Gay" enough for "his club"." Luna explained
As the girls explained the situation, Sora was walking around town. He was really fuming right now. He wasn't paying much attention until a horn sounded behind him.
Sora turned his head to see who was honking, and as if his day couldn't get any worse.
"I am literally not in the mood Darren." Sora said, with a scowl.
"Just get in the car. We need to talk." Darren said.
