Good evening all,
Sorry for the wait for this chapter and the other stories, but we have hit the busy season at my job (Black Friday and Boxing Day) and to make matters worse, some shit went down that has caused major delays and such.
Anyway, shorter chapter this time, and setting up for a rather event next time.
The next chapter will be after Green Gaul and Bearer get updated, with GG being the first, since it's the shorter of the two.
Review time:
Firem78910: The plan is Mina, Ochako, Tsu, and one member from 1-B; take a guess who!

Chapter 3
A Spark of Blue
"I still can't believe it; even when you're standing beside me, you're freaking alive!" Denki exclaimed with a big smile, his arm around the slightly chuckling Midoriya while they waited for Kirishima to make sure the coast was clear to get back to his room.
"T-thanks Kami- I mean Yaoyorozu…" Izuku said as he tried to stabilize himself better with the blonde man hanging off of him; it then dawned on him the implications, and he blushed gently, "S-so, I gotta ask… and I don't wanna sound rude or anything… but um... How-"
"How did I get married to the two best women in the entire world?" Denki snickered, his cheeks also turning red, "Well, it's a long and complicated story, all starting back to our first year when-"
"Yao-Bro, it's not manly to lie like that." Kirishima said in a hushed tone with a smug smirk as he peeked around the corner, watching the last few of his fellow heroes make their way to the large conference room, "Tell the story right, bro."
"Fine, fine… geez… you're a buzzkill, Kiri." Denki grumbled as he removed his arm from around Midoriya, putting both his hands behind his head, "Basically, Momo and Kyoka had gotten together shortly after graduation, then a few years after, Momo wanted to start a family. Both of them approached me, and I agreed. However, I asked to help raise the kid since, you know… gotta be a good dad, right?"
Izuku gently nodded, smiling brightly, "O-Of course, and I know you'll be a great dad, Yao-"
"Dude, just call me Denki, and I'm sure the girls would agree to use their first names too, considering all the crap we went through in our first year." Denki snickered gently at how Izuku was still trying to be proper, even after all this time.
"R-Right, so you got married together because of the child?"
"Partially, but during that time, all of us started to hang out more… one thing led to another, and well…." The blonde man began to chuckle gently, a red hue on his cheeks at the implications Izuku picked up on.
"A-and everyone is happy?"
"Cloud nine since we all got hitched; some days are tougher than others, given hero work and trying to be there to help Momo with things around the agency and at home." Denki sighed softly, though he still had a smile on his face, before suddenly getting a thought, "Hey! Enough about my love life; what about you?"
Izuku froze at that, still red in his cheeks, as he pointed to himself, "M-Me?!"
"Yea, you! There's no way you didn't hook up with someone while you were gone? I would be surprised if there weren't any little Midoriya's running around." Denki smirked, even causing Kirishima to look back at the green-haired man with curiosity, as Izuku looked away in embarrassment and rubbed the back of his neck.
"M-My main goal was to get back to Japan, I couldn't have the good conscience to start a family, even as the years went on and it looked like I was never going to be able to get back," Midoriya said and looked down to the floor as all three continued towards the room he was currently staying in. Kirishima gave a deadpanned look of 'really, bro?' towards Denki, who shrugged and raised his hands up in surrender.
"Sorry, dude… still don't know when to shut my mouth sometimes, but hey, that means you have no reason to go back?"
Izuku remained quiet after that question was asked, tuning out the world as his thoughts invaded his mind. While it was true that he didn't have a family back in Astera, everyone there was like a family to him, accepting him and his odd behavior and mannerisms, similar to how everyone in Class 1-A had been when they lived together at the dorms.
And even if he didn't know how he could come back to Japan, the fact that a monster had been able to cross over with him also made him frown. If something as 'weak' as a Yian-kut-ku could make it to Tokyo, what would happen if a much stronger and terrifying one found its way here.
Gog help the world if something like an Elder Dragon showed up.
But, despite this, Izuku needed to know how to get back, not as a way to go back and leave Japan for a second time, but to make sure nothing else came through, and most importantly, to get his palico back to its true home.
As the trio approached the guest room, a loud crash could be heard from inside, alerting both pro heroes and knocking Izuku out of his thoughts. All three rushed towards the room, with Kirishima swiping his hand over the door mechanism to slide it open, causing them to stop in their tracks.
The felyne spun around, wearing a handkerchief around its little head and raising its hands, "Welcome back, Meowster! Got everything set up for ya! Now it feels like we never left Astera!"
Izuku slowly looked around the newly decorated room, with Kirishima and Denki slowly walking in, mouth agape in shock. Emerald eyes looked at the tiny little trinkets lined against the shelves that he had collected in his years back in the more primeval world, as well as small souvenirs from his time in Kamura Village and the outpost of Elgado. There were scrolls hand-painted by the "Hub" master lining the walls, looking similar to that of ancient Japanese paintings.
Mochi jumped onto the bed while Izuku's eyes locked onto a new piece of furniture in the room; while Kirishima was admiring some of the scrolls, Denki whistled loudly, "Geezus, I couldn't tell if this was one of our spare rooms or not! Look at all this stuff!"
"Mochi… What's my trunk doing here?" Izuku asked in a somber tone at the felyne, ignoring the comment from the blonde while both Denki and Kirishima looked towards the mentioned trunk, both raising an eyebrow and wondering what was so special about it.
Izuku continued as he strolled towards it, slowly kneeling down and running his hand across its top, feeling every dent and scuff that it had gotten over the many years; Izuku turned his gaze slowly over to Mochi, who was smiling proudly, "HOW is it here?"
"A purr-fect secret of us Palico's, Meowster, I mean… how many times have you seen me bring out the "Kitten-ator" from behind my back?"
Alright, Izuku had to give that one to the little furball.
"Besides, wouldn't Mewoster want to show off all the amazing things you've done to yer fur-ends?" Mochi asked as Izuku looked back to the trunk, slowly opening it and peering inside to see that EVERYTHING was there. His weapons, armor, hell… even the Platinum eggs he was going to sell after the mission.
Mochi looked a little downtrodden then, with Izuku looking back to the felyne at the sad meow coming from his palico, "Meowster is too humble; you saved countless people and our home so many times! You are a hero! Murr~ you were even Knighted!"
"MANLY, That's amazing, Midori-bro!" Kirishima shouted with a big grin, snapping both Mochi and Izuku out of their not-so-private talk and finally realizing that his two former classmates were looking INTO the trunk, with Denki nearly looking flabbergasted as his gaze went from the inside to the outside and the floor.
"We are on the second floor; HOW is it doing that?!"
"-Look, I get it; you don't wanna boast about all the things you did." Mochi said, ignoring the question from the blonde who was still trying to figure out the mystery of the trunk, "But face it, Meowster, it's been what… seven years since the last time they saw you! And you just stroll up in… this?" The felyne waved its arms up and down at the current ensemble he was wearing.
As Izuku was looking down at the shirt and track pants combo that he was wearing, a firm hand took hold of his shoulder, and when Izuku looked up, he saw the bright smile of Kirishima, "The cat's dislike of my manly merch aside, the little bro has got a point. Think of it like the classes where we had to address the public and do interviews."
"B-But I often did poorly in those classes?"
"Yea, even I wasn't tripping up as much as you, even after overcharging my brain." Denki snickered as he gave up on figuring out the box, moving to stand beside Izuku and again wrapping his arm around his shoulder, "Plus, me and Kiri will help you pick out an outfit!"
Izuku blinked as he looked between the rather… mischievous glint in his former classmate's eyes, "I-I need an adult?"
Kirishima chuckled low, tightening his grip on Midoriya's shoulder as Denki joined in the chuckling, "That's the thing, Midori-bro."
"We are adults!"
"I can't believe someone destroyed the monument!" Kinoko Komori puffed her cheeks out, stamping her foot down as her red and white polka-dot dress shifted from her movement, standing beside several of her fellow pro heroes, "I mean, they got to be a rotten shiitake to do such a thing!"
"Please, Komori, while I agree with your statement, swearing wasn't called for." Ibara Shiozaki spoke with a firm tone, though the evangelical woman with long plant-like hair sighed gently and shook her head, "But, yes… to think someone would destroy Midoriya and everyone's Memoriam."
"Did they say who did it or why?" Asked Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, his bare arms crossed over his chest as he growled, "Totally unmanly thing to do if it was some low-life that idolized the League."
"Whatever happened, maybe Momo got some information, considering we saw Aizawa, Nezu, and Mr. Yagi headed to her office." Itsuka Kendo said, sighing gently as her gaze scanned the room to the other smaller groups of heroes talking. She could hear Kuroiro, Tokoyami and Reiko discuss the 'dark omen' the falling of the statue had meant, and while the notion that someone destroying Midoriya's figure was the 'sign of the dark times' coming was silly to her, the thought of someone leaving a message also cropped up into her mind.
"Well, I heard Mina and Ochako were at the scene… so they probably got a good look at the perp." Setsuna's head floated over, resting it on Kinoko's mushroom cap, "Could you just ask them?"
"I haven't seen them, nor are they answering their phones." Kendo sighed gently, shifting herself with one hand on her hip, "Maybe they took the day-"
"SORRY, WE'RE LATE!" Mina shouted as she, Ochako, and Tsuyu rushed into the large meeting room. Running up the closest group, the three looked absolutely exhausted and were drenched head to toe, "Commute was crazy, and it started to rain down hard by the time we got half a block away!"
"I liked the rain, kero."
"We know Tsu- *achoo!*" Ochako sneezed, sniffling softly as a couple of the girls made their way to the small pile of folded towels; handing them to the soaked heroines, Ochako gently breathed out a thank you.
"I get it's monsoon season, but I've never seen such freakish storms." Mina said, pushing the towel off her head after giving it a quick tussle and making sure her horns didn't catch, "Even crazier than the one last night."
"Speaking of last night…." Ibara spoke gently, looking towards her friends before turning her gaze back towards the three women, "Suffice to say, the destruction of the memorial park's statue is well known across the city now, but you and Uraraka were in the area from what we heard…." Everyone in the room was now looking at the two, noticing the visible flinch from the two, "So you saw who did it!"
"Y-yea…" Ochako rubbed the back of her head, "In all honesty, it's hard to even still come to terms with everything that happened."
"I can understand that; seeing the monument of a fallen friend being smashed like that would cause anyone to pause." Ibara said with a gentle and nurturing tone, while some of those outside of the group all nodded their heads or called out in agreement. Ochako merely continued to rub the back of her head, looking away almost guiltily.
"R-right… the statue."
"While the events of last night will be discussed, I suggest everyone, please sit down so we can go over today's patrol routines." The voice of Momo Yaoyorozu spoke up, walking into the room from the opposite end, with Kyoka helping her walk towards the chair at the end of the meeting room.
As everyone began to shift and move towards their seats, the odd thumping noises and muffled shouts and laughter caught everyone's attention, stopping for a few moments until Kyoka cleared her throat, giving everyone a death glare to hurry up.
The gentle hand of her wife touched her arm, causing the punk rocker to look towards Momo and sigh heavily, muttering, "a bunch of dumb idiots," which caused Momo to giggle, knowing full well that Kyoka could hear everything going on upstairs.
"Now, with these storms and the incident from last night, the commission has asked that all agencies double up their patrols in the area." Momo began to speak, leaning back in her chair as she moved a hand towards the desk to bring up a holographic map of the area for everyone, "Acid Queen, Uravity, are you both able to patrol today? I can understand if-"
"We got it, boss! Some rain isn't going to keep us two from our heroic duties!" Mina jumped from her seat, fist pumped in the air, turning towards Ochako, who was looking up at her, "Right, Chako?"
The gravity girl's hand went up to pull her pink-skinned counterpart back down, shushing her from causing a bigger scene than was needed, earning everyone staring rather confusedly at the relatively bright attitude considering what the two had borne witness to.
Clearing her throat to get everyone's attention, Momo sighed gently before tapping away at the keyboard in front of her, "Now, before we go through the patrol routes, we should review the current status of our members that are currently away, as-"
"Sorry, I'm late!" Denki suddenly burst into the room, beelining it towards his chair, between Kyoka and Tokoyami, rushing in such a way he nearly missed his seat had it not been for the aid of Dark Shadow stabilizing the chair.
"Chargebolt, what have we told you about rushing into the meeting room?" Momo said seriously at her husband, who snickered gently and rubbed the back of his head.
"Sorry, sorry, but this is so exciting! They are heading down right now, and I wanted front-row seats!" The blonde man leaned back in his chair, with those around him looking in confusion at the statement he just said, though certain members seemed to perk up as they had a feeling of who Denki was talking about.
Tetsutetsu spoke up, leaning his arm on the table, "You alright, bro? Didn't discharge and fry your brains? Because you aren't making much sense."
Denki looked toward the man, smirking at him mischievously while still leaning back when there came a knocking on the meeting door; Kirishima poked his head into the room and looked towards Momo, "Hey Yaomomo, everything set up for our bros to come in?"
The head of the agency sighed gently, nodding her head as she leaned back into her chair, caressing her large stomach, "Well… best to rip the band-aid off now. You can bring him in, Kirishima."
"Awesome!" The red-headed man pulled his head back out the door and could be heard talking with a couple of people; the sounds of a heated discussion could be heard before the door slammed against the wall with a cry of 'Mochi, NO!' following it afterward.
Everyone shot up, eager to see what sort of person Kirishima and Denki were so excited for, only to the collective gaze of the group slowly moving down and seeing before them… a cat?
Everyone was initially taken aback, especially when the feline walked towards the large table on its hind legs! Several of the women, especially Momo, cooed at how it leaped up onto the table and meowed while doing so, dusting off its green and white fur before looking at all the various people around it.
Oddly enough, it seemed to stare at Tokoyami for a little longer before snapping itself out of thoughts and standing proudly, "Good Murr-ning! I am Mochi, a palico for my Meowster!"
"Oh my god, that is so freaking cute!" Setsuna exclaimed, her head flying towards the creature and zipping around it.
"ACK! Your head! Why did it come off?! Are you ok?!" Mochi exclaimed in alarm, trying to catch the woman's head as she cackled before bringing it back to her body.
"Purr-fectly fine, feline!" She snickered while Kendo beside her sighed heavily and rubbed the bridge of her nose. Mochi stared at the woman for a few moments, eyes searching for any explanation, but then remembered what his Meowster told him about the powers people had and how often they were "bullshit".
"Murr… ok… Anyway! Me and my Meowster came from a far-off land; while we were hunting a Meow-nster, we ended up in some big forestry place, where I ran into them!" Mochi declared, pointing its tiny paw at where Ashido and Uraraka sat, with the pink-haired woman giving a slight wave to the furry feline.
"W-Wait! That means… YOU SHROOMED THE MEMORIAL!?" Komori suddenly exclaimed while Ibara and Tetsutetsu tried to hold down their mushroom-loving friend, who was starting to sprout some of the fungi on her hat.
"It wasn't his fault!" The sound of hands slamming down on the table, with the shout coming from Uraraka, had caught everyone's attention. The silence in the air hung heavy for a few moments before the gravity woman continued to speak, "The monster was so big! And kept screeching and screeching, if he didn't…." She hesitated, gazing down at her hands as they curled close, shaking against the surface.
Ochako could feel the warmth of Mina's hand lay gently on hers, with Tsuyu holding her best friend's shoulder to try and comfort her. The gentle meowing had brought everyone's attention back to Mochi, who also looked a little sad, "Meowster had no choice; the meow-nster, a Yian Kut-Ku, was sick… it already hurt fellow Meow-nster Hunters and people who weren't meant to fight. Meowster normally captures them, but sometimes, you just can't capture the meow-nsters."
"So it had to be put down." Kyoka spoke, her arms across her chest and staring at the cat, "And the memorial was merely an accidental casualty?"
"I mean… A rampaging meow-nster is hard enough to control, even with Meowsters strength." Mochi sighed heavily, moving a paw to scratch behind its ear, "Often they are ripping up the land, so it's purr-fectly reasonable to assume any buildings or such will be damaged or destroyed."
"Me and my Meowster are sorry for what happened, but it was not in our control… plus he tends to hyper-focus on his work and protecting others."
"S-Sorry…" Komori said, sniffling a little, "It's just… that place means shroom much to m- us… it was the last place Midoriya was… was…." The mushroom couldn't finish, even after seven years, the fact they lost the green-haired young man still hit hard for a lot of the former first years; even if they barely had any time to talk to him, many in Class 1-B had learned of what Midoriya had gone through, and worked towards.
The gentle sobs coming out of Komori and now a few other people started to fill the room; even Momo was having difficulty keeping herself from just sobbing, thanks to her hormones and pregnancy.
The door opened again, this time with Kirishima and another person walking into the room, possibly the supposed 'Meowster' the cat creature had been speaking off. His armor was brass in color, polished to the degree that it reflected much of the room around him. His face was covered by an elaborate and beautifully designed helmet with the head and wings of a bird melded into the front of it with a green tuft of hair coming from the back; his shoulder pads and arm guards displayed what looked like lion's heads, also in a dark forest green color that matched not only the helmet ornament but also the various trimmings that outlined the figured body.
Everyone gasped at the literal knight standing before them, watching the helmet turn towards Mochi and gently nodding his head, after which he brought his hands up underneath the headgear and could be seen fiddling with the straps underneath.
Mochi, however, cleared its throat, standing proudly as he began to speak once more, "Presenting the 'Star Sapphire' of Astera, slayer of the Black Dragon and Red Dragon, Hero of Kamura, Champion of Elgado and Knight of the Kingdom-"
The helmet was slowly pulled off, with a large mane of green curly hair falling out that rested just at the base of his neck, smiling gently with his perfectly shaped diamond freckles on his cheeks and bright emerald eyes looking towards the awe-struck group of people before him, many of which were simply pointing and barely able to speak as Mochi continued.
"Sir Izuku Midori-nya, my meowster!"
"MIDORIYA?!" Several people had shouted; even Komori was looking on in shock to see the green-haired young man, though several people had noticed some of their fellow heroes were not as such, mainly those who were at the incident the previous night.
"Um…" Midoriya spoke gently, the helmet under his arm now, as he gave them a bright smile, "It's good to see you all again."
The room went silent after he spoke, too stunned at the young man's voice, though more profound than what it was the last time they had seen him, many of them thought they would never hear his little stutter after that fateful day.
One, in particular, was tearing up badly before suddenly passing out with a loud thump against the floor when her name was called out by the green-haired man in shock, with the last moments of her remaining conscious of Midoriya rushing to her aid, "Komori!"
A flash of lightning sparked as it hit one of the rods on top of the many skyscrapers within Tokyo, followed by a crack of thunder that nearly reverberated against the buildings as Shoto Todoroki, the current number one hero of Japan, brought a hand up to his ear and pressed the small communicator device as he moved underneath a shops awning, "Todoroki here."
"Shoootooo!" a woman's voice from the device called out to him, sounding a little upset from the way she said his name, "I know you wanted to go on patrol, but the storm seems to be getting worse!"
"I know, but I got to help those who may be stuck out here, Toru." The double-quirked man spoke gently, slightly bereft of emotion, just like he had been during his time at UA, "Besides, I wanted to check out the damage of the memorial park; I shouldn't be too long; how are you feeling?"
"Ugh... I still got an upset tummy." Toru spoke gently, and Shoto could hear the rustling of clothes, meaning she was still in bed, "I have no idea what's up, and I don't remember eating anything weird or bad." The gentle sigh on the other line sent a slight shiver up Shoto's spine, "But come back home! I need my hot and cold teddy bear!"
"But Toru, I'm the number one hero; I need to make sure the people are-"
"We can cuddle up and make some tasty cold Soba." The invisible woman on the other line said with a hint of mischief as Shoto stood very still.
"...At least let me go check on the park." He sighed gently, hearing a playful gasp on the phone's other side.
"Shoto Todoroki, turning down a chilly bowl of fresh Soba, one made by our wonderful and talented wife! What has the world come to?"
Before he could answer her, clearly not getting the teasing from his wife, Toru spoke gently, "Go check on the park, sweetie, I know you were upset the statue was destroyed, but you should go see what can be salvaged. For Midoriya's sake and all."
"Thank you, Toru."
"No problem, dear, but make sure you don't take too long…." Toru began to speak in a low tone, her voice a little sultry, "If my tummy is feeling better, perhaps you'd love to enjoy the dessert after your soba…."
A puff of flames erupted out the left side of Todoroki, his cheeks slightly red as he clearly got the message then. Just as he was about to ask if Toru needed anything, a horrendous roar echoed throughout the area he was in. Shoto's eye's furrowed as he could hear Toru sit up, "Shoto? What was that?"
"I don't know, I need to check it out; I'll call you back later, alright?"
"Be careful! Love you!" And just like that, the call was dropped, with Todoroki looking about to see if he could hear the sound again. But that all changed when the sounds of horrible screams from civilians could be heard, as well as the roar from before.
Wasting no time, Shoto summoned his ice to quickly slide down the street, weaving and dodging the fleeing pedestrians as he rounded the corner and stood in shock at what he was looking at.
Standing on top of a passenger-filled car was a giant beast. Teal in color with what looked like white patches of fur along its body, and while the beast looked similar to a wolf, it was much larger and the oddest thing the young pro had ever seen, as the creature had what he thought were bone-like ridges covering its legs and traveled down its body, with protruding horns on its lupine-esqe head.
Small bolts of lightning traveled along its fur as it sensed Todoroki, looking at the stunned man for the briefest of moments before its eyes flared with blue electricity, and it howled so loud that it pushed the raindrops from its body and air around it.
For it had found a worthy opponent.
