Here it is, the 101st full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on the right day as promised. This is the first in a series of transitional chapters that will help set up the coming arcs nicely and all that they will contain. I will give a spoiler warning now for this chapter as this is the conversation about the past users (amongst other things) that happened at the end of season 5 but will happen earlier here for convenience and because Fei's sped up the process. The main spoilers are that I will be naming the 4th, 5th, and 6th users along with their Quirks that haven't already been named. So far in the anime, only the 5th and 7th's names and Quirks have been mentioned but the manga has now named all of the Quirks that Izuku has (the last one was in the latest chapter) though the names of the 2nd and 3rd users haven't been revealed yet. Regardless I won't be addressing those Quirks here, just the ones from the 4th user onwards so you have been warned. Anyway, that is all the administrative stuff I have for now though and as there are no review questions to answer or guest reviews to respond to I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. Now, though, it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 100th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.
Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.
Chapter 101: Past Users and a New Ally
"Thank you two for coming today." All Might said to Izuku and Bakugo as they sat opposite him in his office, and he served them some tea like he always did with the former, but this was the latter's first time in such a meeting. "We have a lot to discuss in the wake of what happened and fortunate has smiled upon us in the sense that other developments outside my own control have coincidentally helped us learn more about the past users before my master faster than I had expected."
"So, this is how you do it." Bakugo said in his usual tone as he looked around. "This certainly explains all those one on one in the past."
"You are in the know young Bakugo, so it is only fitting that you are here as well." All Might said. "And it's time to share some important information with both of you."
"So, what did you find out about Blackwhip and the other users?" Izuku asked ignoring Bakugo's attitude and getting to the heart of the meeting. "Anything useful?"
"In a moment, I am waiting on it's arrival." All Might said. "So, hang tight a moment."
That got both boy's attentions as they focused on All Might. When he'd called them to his office for this meeting they'd known what it was about, it was obvious given the sudden manifestation of Blackwhip during Izuku's joint training match and the chat Izuku had with the vestige of the former user who's Quirk it had been, but now things seemed to take a turn. It was all a little confusing to Izuku though Bakugo was just annoyed at all this.
Whatever it was it was likely the reason why there was another chair next to All Might and a stool at the end of the coffee table between them. Given the size of the stool it was almost certainly for the Principal, one of the few in the know about One for All, but there felt like there would be another person. That was something that neither boy understood.
"What aren't you telling us." Bakugo snarled. "Just spit it out already."
"Something I've been waiting for the right moment to bring up with young Midoriya and now that you are in the know you as well young Bakugo but until this whole thing forced my hand I hadn't found that moment." All Might said with a sigh. "You see, just like with Gran Torino, there is another who knows of One for All beyond those I've told you about. However, this one is very different, and the very nature of his power has made it that I can't speak about his true nature until he gives permission to do so, a safeguard that ensures he and those like him can't speak of One for All without my say as well. I now have it but, well, it's best to hear it from him instead."
"Er what?" Izuku asked confused while Bakugo just tisked at that.
"So, there's more you're saying." Bakugo said. "But something is binding the secret like a Quirk."
"What I've done goes beyond the powers of mere Quirks." A new voice said in British accented Japanese and both boys looked startled, which was saying something with Bakugo, at the sudden arrival of a man they recognized standing behind All Might. "It is beyond the comprehension of mortals for the most part but in this age of Quirks it has been easier to explain it to those we've chosen to tell about it. I apologize for having to hide this, my vows and power have kept this a secret until now, but it is time you boys learned the truth of the Guardians of the Elements, learn who we really are and what we really stand for. As the holder of One for All, Izuku Midoriya is entitled to this information while you know of that Quirk, Bakugo, so you too are entitled to know."
"I'd buckle up if I were you." A familiar voice said causing the boys to jump again as they turned to see Nezu sitting on the stool sipping team from a fine cup. "This is going to be wild but me and All Might are here to confirm everything that Mage is about to say. I swear on my honor that all he's about to tell you is the truth, as hard as it may be to believe it at first."
The boys looked from the Principal back to the man who'd arrived out of thin air, the man they knew as Mage, the Guardian of Magic, the head of the Guardian Agency in Tokyo, and a part time U.A. teacher who was also the legal guardian of two of their classmates. He appeared as he normally did in his Guardian outfit minus the hooded cloak he sometimes wore only now both boys couldn't deny that they were feeling a tremendous power coming from him. They felt it as he took his seat next to All Might and looked at the boys.
"You can feel it, can't you." Mage said simply as he looked at them in turn. "You can feel the power I wield, or at least a fraction of it."
"Just what are you." Bakugo said glaring at him, he knew power thanks to all the effort he put into developing his Quirk, and he'd felt it in his fight with All Might but this, this didn't feel human. "This isn't all of it?"
"I am a Guardian." Mage said as the power began to die down and he seemed to return to normal, but they still felt the undercurrents of it now that they'd felt it first hand. "And that means more than what we've told the world. We use the hero society we helped to create to hide in plain sight as an international hero agency so as to keep an eye on the world as is our mandate, but we are so much more."
"More?" Izuku asked confused. "What does that mean?"
"That those who are Guardians, the 31 of us who bear that title and the tattoo in our arms, are not human." Mage said causing Izuku's eyes to go wide and even Bakugo to blink at that. "The Guardians are an ancient order of immortal beings tasked with protecting the line between order and chaos in this world. We have existed since the beginning of time, well the original 5 have, but since then more have been elevated to their ranks as the Master sees fit, and yes the man who is recognized as the leader of out agency is the Master Guardian. Those of us who are Guardians are the physical embodiment and protectors of our elements in the world."
By this point Izuku and Bakugo looked stunned at that and then they looked to Nezu who was just sipping his tea in clear enjoyment as if it was nothing and to All Might who was sitting with his usual serious look on his face. It was clear that this wasn't a joke.
"So, you're like immortal?" Izuku asked. "Like really immortal as in you can't die and have been around for longer than an average human."
"Yes." Mage confirmed with a nod. "I was born immortal eons ago, the bastard, illegitimate, and frankly implausible son to two deities of different pantheons in the old western world. My mother is, or was I guess as she's been in a coma for centuries as mankind has forgotten her, Hecate, the Ancient Greek Goddess of Magic. My father was Ra, the Sun God and leader of the old Egyptian pantheon."
Mage paused here for a moment looking at the boys to see if they would answer him, but both were still processing what he had said. As such he just continued with his explanation of his past.
"As I was born of different pantheons, my birth was considered an affront to the old gods." Mage explained. "So, I was given to the Guardians to serve them and have since then. Over the years I rose through their ranks until I proved myself worthy and was granted the element of Magic to guard, a fitting one given my background. Not all of us have similar backgrounds to me, that of being illegitimate immortal bastards, but many do."
"I'm still trying to comprehend this." Izuku said his head hurting. "The ancient western gods are real? Like how Tartarus is named after that prison from Greek mythology, does that mean other deities are real as well?"
"Like it's real." Bakugo said now dismissive of it, this was just too much to be believed. "It's all bullshit and we know it. Plus, you speak of the western pantheons, what are you doing in the far east then?"
"True we have had limited contact with the east, and yes many of your deities are real and still around thanks to preserving the beliefs out here though many opt not to interact with humans." Mage said though he decided not to get into a discussion about the primordial god of the pit with them as that wasn't relevant. "However, for reasons I am about to get into we have come here now and I myself have spent time in ancient China back in the day. However, you're right Bakugo, it's hard to believe so let me prove it to you. My element allows me to bend reality to my will in a sense, it's rather esoteric and hard to explain compared to the others, but I can still prove it. Please avoid blowing up, it would be annoying."
Mage then held out his hand and snapped his fingers in Bakugo's face. All Might knew he didn't need to do this, but it was done to prove a point as Bakugo's eyes went wide, there was a poof of pale yellow smoke, and a where he was sitting was a very angry looking, small, fluffy, blond dog. It was a Pomeranian and it suddenly let out a serious of barks of annoyance at Mage before it began snarling at him which would have been mean on a bigger dog but on a Pomeranian it was just cute. However, Izuku knew better than to laugh or do anything at the current situation.
"Huh, guess that's your dog, wouldn't have figured you for that but you certainly look like an angry one at times." Mage said with a chuckle as tiny explosions went off from the Pomeranian's forepaws that burnt small scorch marks into the sofa. "Alright, I think you get it."
Mage snapped his fingers again and a furious Bakugo was back and still snarling at Mage though that was pretty normal for him. He was about to leap up when All Might held up a hand.
"Young Bakugo please restrain yourself." All Might said seriously. "This should be proof enough for you and both Nezu and myself vouch for Mage's honesty as we've seen the power people like him can wield. Please, hear him out. You are being let in on a major secret of the world, a truth few know so please listen."
"Thank you All Might." Mage said looking Bakugo in the eye as he spoke. "Nothing further will be needed; I can tell he understands that what I did wasn't normal or within the possibilities of Quirks. This will help. Midoriya already seems to understand a bit."
"I'd like to know more." Izuku said now eager to learn more about what had just happened. "What you just did shouldn't have been possible. There's no Quirk that I've ever heard of that can cause that kind of change to another person."
"If you ever mention that again even to these extras who know I'll murder you." Bakugo roared causing Izuku to nod fervidly at that, he certainly had no plans on ever mentioning Pomeranian-Bakugo to anyone, but he'd enjoy that memory for the rest of his life. "Good, now talk, Guardian. Explain everything to us but before that why can't All Might have told us before."
"Because I put a spell on both of us, a mutual way to protect our secrets, and as it is on me it binds all the Guardians who are aware and there are a few as a couple of my brethren have worked with some of the past users of One for All starting with the sixth." Mage explained. "And it is through our other plans that I found out who the 5th was but I'll get to that once I've explained everything. As for the spell in particular, it binds our secrets to our souls. I am aware of the secret of One for All, and All Might the secret of the Guardians that we hide from the public. As such, we can't speak about what we know without the other's permission. I will be binding my secret to your souls as well so you can only speak of it to those in the know."
"We've known the Guardians for decades." Nezu said to help Mage out as he continued to sip yet another fantastic blend from Mage that fused Japanese and British styles together in a way he'd never imagined possible. "They are trustworthy in this regard but as you will learn their own rules do limit how much they can meddle in human affairs which is why they can't help out with certain things."
"Humans have free will; we can guide but we can't directly interfere, such is our mandate and the vows we've taken." Mage said. "So, are you ready to learn the truth of us and our order?"
"Yes." Izuku said with a nod.
"Fine." Bakugo said masking his interest with indifference as he often did. "But I'm going to have questions, especially about you in particular and you'd better be honest with me."
"I'll answer what I can but if it is a secret I am spellbound into silence then I can't." Mage said which Bakugo just tisked at but didn't say anything, so Mage continued. "But alright get ready because this will take a while."
"Can I get a top up before you start?" Nezu asked holding out his tea cup towards Mage though there was no teapot anywhere. "I know this story and this tea is quite delectable so I would like to sip more as you talk."
"Huh? Oh, sure thing." Mage said a little taken aback but blinked and a teapot appeared in thin air to refill the tea before getting back to his story. "Anyway, the Guardians began shortly after Chaos created the world as we know it and were created to protect it. At first there were 5 Guardians, a Master and 4 originals to embody 4 of the 7 elements present at the time of creation that didn't have a primordial deity to represent it yet, though at least Light, would in time get one. The others created from the primordial ether of their elements were Fire, Thunder and Water for there was already deities of Earth, Air, and Darkness at the time. Those three have since gained Guardians of their own, however. After that…"
From there Mage continued for the better part of what felt like an hour but as it was their day off, and Bakugo had already done his extra lessons before this meeting, they had the time, and no one would miss them as study and practice were expected in the hero course. Izuku and Bakugo just listened to it all, it was hard to believe at first but with demonstrations and backing from Nezu and All Might they slowly began to comprehended it and then accepted what they were being told. It was a lot to take in but, well, after all they'd been through it wasn't too hard after the proof that they had been seen.
They learned of the full history of the Guardians, their structure, and how their order worked both before and after the advent. They learned basically all that Marinette, Adrien, and after she was let in Momo, knew just in a faster, more condensed time period than the others had learned it in.
"Alright, I get it." Bakugo said as Mage finished his tale with the current structure of the Guardians and how most of the heroes who served them weren't actually followers, what Mage referred to as Sub-Guardians, but actual heroes to help the world as this was how the Guardians could work though they were told of the clandestine unit as it would be relevant in a moment. "And first off I want to know, what do your charges know regarding all this? Do Agreste and Dupain-Cheng know the truth about who you are as well?"
That was a good question and Izuku too looked at Mage for an answer to it. The Guardian just held their gazes for a moment before he nodded in confirmation of Bakugo's second question.
"Yes, they are aware of my identity, I revealed it to them before they entered U.A. after they'd been accepted via the special foreign transfer program." Mage said which wasn't the full truth but he actually couldn't tell them that so he told them what he could, and it technically wasn't a lie. "But as with you they were spellbound to secrecy regarding it. You may now speak about my true identity with them but only when not in earshot of others, my magic will prevent discussion of it should others be able to overhear you. However, it is probably for the best that you don't, you have other things to focus on."
"Why'd you tell them?" Bakugo asked pressing it though for the moment Izuku was willing to do just that as this would be a distraction to them and might lead to awkward questions about why he knew, and he'd just have to lie to them more about it and he didn't want to do that. "This seems like something you can't just tell without good reason given how hard it is to believe."
"Because they deserved to know the truth as to why I recommended them to Nezu for the transfer program." Mage said. "The leader of our clandestine unit has some precognition abilities granted him by the Master Guardian to aid us and one of his premonitions, about 2 years ago now, foresaw the need for the Guardians to return one of their own to permanent residence in Japan for the first time in almost half a century. The easiest way to accomplish this was for one of us who teaches at a European or American hero school to use the well-established transfer program as cover. I volunteered for the role and recommended Adrien and Marinette as applicants as they were the best in their year at the time. After they were accepted and before they enrolled here I told them the truth."
"I guess that makes sense." Izuku said believing the half-truth, but Bakugo just narrowed his eyes and said nothing to that, he didn't fully believe it but decided that this wasn't really his place to say anything as it didn't directly relate to him and his goal of being the best, so he opted to not press it any further for the moment. "So, you came here to help All Might out?"
"In a manner of speaking, we came here to observe because there was a change coming, one that might bring chaos to the world if it happened." Mage said. "I spoke with the last Guardian to spend time here, the Guardian of Air, he goes by Gust these days, and he explained things to me. There was a transfer of One for All about to happen which meant that the balance could change so we needed to be here just to monitor things. Gust had served since the 6th user through to the start of All Might's time but when All Might emerged as the Symbol of Peace it was determined that there was no need for our presences back then. Now things have changed."
"You could say that." Bakugo spat out. "So, you guys came during the 6th user, who was it?"
"A man we only knew as En." Mage said as suddenly an image of the upper body and head of a man in a large jacket with the collar over his mouth and short black hair appeared in the center of the coffee table and began to slowly rotate so that all could see it. "It was towards the end of his time that he and Gust met due to the nature of his Quirk catching Gust's attention and it from Gust that En learned of us. The previous users didn't know but we kept up the contact as he passed it on to the 7th, who you know was All Might's master, Nana Shimura, and through her time with the Quirk."
"I was not made aware of this until after my master had transferred the Quirk to me." All Might said. "And even then it wasn't until after her death, so it took a lot to convince me that the Guardians were actually what they said they were, and not just powerful international heroes bound by laws that prevented them from acting in certain ways. Gran Torino helped a lot though and as I've confided in more people so too have the Guardians when the time came. Nezu, Recovery Girl, and Tsukauchi have all been informed over time as well. Sir Nighteye was also in the know before his death."
"We had a discussion before the raid." Mage said. "To clarify things as it had been a while since he'd been informed, and I was the first Guardian he'd properly met but he certainly knew the truth and accepted it."
"Oh ok." Izuku said he was still processing everything, but he knew he'd be ok with it when he had a chance to talk to All Might some more about it one on one. "So, this 6th user, he's not the one with Blackwhip. I know that one and he was a tall, muscular, bald man though this is definitely the same person I saw in that dream before the joint training exercise."
"Correct that man was Daigoro Banjo, hero name Lariat." Mage said as the image changed to that of the man that Izuku had seen when he was under the control of Shinso Brainwashing Quirk during the 5th match. "He's the 5th user who's Quirk was Blackwhip. It is thanks to my assistant Fei, who is a clandestine Sub-Guardian and was once assigned to Japan some 60 or so years ago, recognizing Blackwhip despite how much stronger it had become that we were able to begin the process of collecting information on the past users."
"Have we met her yet?" Izuku asked. "This Fei person that is."
"And does she know of One for All." Bakugo added bluntly.
"No to both." Mage said shaking his head. "She's my chief assistant here as most of the main agency in Tokyo are unaware of my true nature so when things started to change here I called her in as added insurance and someone who I can rely on for certain operations that I may engage in as she's got stealth abilities. I've worked with her in the past, she's loyal to the Guardians and will do her duty. One of them was to observe the battles in the joint training exercise from within and compile reports on the transfer applicants as well as helping provide feedback for your personal evaluations."
"To help her cover and explain her presence in the area I've hired her as a part time teaching assistant." Nezu said. "She's a qualified hero and well trained with a very useful Quirk, though her stint in Japan involved her studying at Shiketsu but she's changed her appearance since then so she's safe now. I figured an extra pair of hands that was outside the normal channels would be useful."
"She'll aid me in my Quirkless training classes for you and Class 1-B when I start teaching you lot next semester." Mage said. "However, her knowing of Lariat and that his Quirk was Blackwhip was an unexpected boon for us. She didn't know his real name or anything about him other than that he was a capture specialist. He seemed to have been an unremarkable and little-known hero in his time with few friends and who died in battle."
"All for One?" Izuku asked.
"That would be the consensus." All Might said. "Though the villain in that attack was never confirmed but it is all but certain that All for One killed him. Lariat was crushed under some rubble, that was where his body was found, but managed to transfer One for All to En before he died. I was able to deduce who En was by recalling my master's description of him, comparing it to young Midoriya's description and then going of Ms. Fei's report on Lariat and his known associates to confirm he was the 6th user. Mage just seconded my findings."
"I went to discuss things with Gust after we identified En as the likely 6th user so that he could confirm it to me." Mage said. "He now runs our Buenos Aires office which is the principal office that oversees all of South America at the moment, it used to be the Rio office, but Gust prefers Argentina for some reason. Anyway, he recalled his time here well and informed me all about En and Shimura though All Might will be the expert when it comes to discussing her as she was his master."
"So, what was this En's Quirk?" Izuku asked. "Bango told me I'd get all of them, so I need to be prepared for when it manifests, we don't want a repeat of last time."
"And we will ensure that though I do know that En's won't cause destruction even if it is going to be harder to explain away like we've been able to do with Blackwhip." All Might said. "I've already started compiling notebooks for both of you and this time we're going to try and get on top of it so that we don't have another issue like with Blackwhip's manifestation without warning. We're going to prepare you for the one I know the most about and the one we can best prepare for with what the class has, my master's Quirk, Float."
"But you should know the others just in case they randomly manifest like with Blackwhip, best to be prepared after all." Mage said. "Alas we can only confirm En's and the 4th user's as the records before him are bad at best. Add in that the 4th user was a hermit with few known contact so we're having a hard time just figuring out when he got One for All. As such we are having trouble tracking down who the 3rd user might be, same with the 2nd but we might be able to work from the 1st to find him at least. As for En's Quirk, his natural one was called Smokescreen and allowed him to produce smoke from his body."
"Cool." Izuku said. "And with Blackwhip and Float those are really useful and strong. Bango was right, his Quirk is a top grade one."
"Please, they only look that way to you because you weren't born with a Quirk." Bakugo said dismissively. "They seem weak and unassuming to me."
"Bakugo is right on this one." Nezu said as he finished his second cup of tea, which was then refilled again, and spoke for the first time in a while. "The four Quirks we know of are all not what we'd consider hero level Quirks today which is likely why the users chose successors with similarly unassuming Quirks as All for One, who loves collecting powerful and interesting Quirks, might not look for One for All in a user with a Quirk that wouldn't interest him. They are insular and don't give rise to Ultimate Moves, but each does have it's own advantage. Smokescreen allows for obfuscation and concealment, Blackwhip for capture and rapid movement, and Float for more maneuverability with flight potential if it's stronger like Lariat claims it is. Then there's the fourth user's, that's one that will be useful."
"First off, I need to confirm that this is the man as we haven't managed that yet." Mage said as the image that was still on Banjo changed. "I had your description to All Might to go off and Lariat's known connections and deduced that this was him based on the description and how he died shortly after becoming acquainted with Lariat. However, we need you to confirm it Midoriya."
The image changed to that of a man with medium length white hair that fell to just above his shoulders wearing what looked like a light-colored hoodie that had the upper right arm part ripped away in a diagonal tear that took out the bottom half of the hoodie showing a black undershirt, but he still wore the lower sleeve for some reason. However, the most distinctive feature he had was the pair of what looked like scars that ran down from his hairline, over his left eye and the left corner of his lips before ending just before his chin. It was the unique scars that Izuku recognized and confirmed it was him.
"That's the guy I saw." Izuku said with a nod. "I didn't know he was the 4th user but the ones I could make out were the first along with the 5th, 7th, and now that you've confirmed it the 4th and 6th users. I still haven't gotten a good look at the 2nd and 3rd ones however."
"We will continue to dig but they were during the anarchy period so it will be hard even with the resources I have at my disposal and even then I have other restrictions on how much aid I can led." Mage said. "As for this man, his name is Hikage Shinomori. We don't know much about him, he seems to have been an extreme recluse who constantly moved around over the span of about 20 years or so during the chaos All for One was causing when he was at his peak, but we do know that towards the end of his life he took Banjo into his confidence. Why Banjo we don't know but for whatever reason Shinomori chose him as his successor and passed on One for All to him before he died."
"What do you know about him?" Izuku asked curious.
"The little we know is that he died at the age of 40 and it wasn't in battle or under suspicious circumstances." Mage said. "We haven't found any other reports on that as I don't have a way to access autopsy or police records, but I am sure with All Might and Nezu now looking at this more closely with Tsukauchi's aid more will be known. The Guardians can only help so much with him as he was before our time in Japan. Hell, we didn't even have our agency here until about 3 years before Shinomori's death, so we really know little about the man."
"Still, even though his death wasn't suspicious it did come during the chaos, and we know, or at least suspect, that All for One has killed at least Banjo, En, and Shimura and likely killed the 2nd and 3rd users as well knowing him." All Might said. "And as we don't know how many Quirks All for One actually has so he could have killed Shinomori subtly instead. Given Shinomori's Quirk that would make the most sense. Likely he knew his time was coming and passed One for All to Banjo before he died to keep the torch going and the mission to beat All for One alive."
At the moment none of them knew the actual cause of Shinomori's death, they were just speculating based on what they knew, but in time All Might would learn the truth when he read Shinomori's autopsy report. It would be a shocking and disturbing revelation; one he'd end up keeping from young Midoriya but for the moment he was unaware of it.
"What was his Quirk?" Izuku asked now even more curious. "What power can ensure he was able to avoid directly being killed by All for One."
"It was called Danger Sense." Mage explained. "And the records indicate that it allowed him to sense an incoming threat to him and thus he was able to react accordingly. That is why we believe he was always on the move and in isolation as his Quirk allowed him to always be a step ahead of any attack, at least that is our theory at the moment regarding him. It is also why All for One likely killed him in a more subtle, possibly even indirect so as to not register as a threat, way over a longer period of time so as to get around Danger Sense."
"That would make sense." Izuku said as he thought on it. "So, we know that I'll get Danger Sense, Smokescreen, and Float as well."
"Correct and we're going to prepare you for Float with young Uraraka's help." All Might said. "While young Sero, young Asui, and young Dupain-Cheng assist in getting Blackwhip under control once you have a handle on it better but that will come in time as you said yourself you're not able to properly control that power just yet. This won't happen until after the new year however as there are other things coming up to prepare for."
"Naturally, none of your classmates will be informed as to the real reason for the training." Mage added. "Just that they can assist in you mastering this new aspect of your Quirk as well as how to use it while in the air hence Uraraka's involvement. Also, Adrien will assist in some training as well."
"He will?" Izuku asked. "Why?"
"Moron think of his Quirk and what he can." Bakugo roared, he'd just been listening and absorbing the other information, but Deku's comment was just too stupid to ignore. "Agreste can create that destructive energy so if he was manifest it in just his hands he can mimic that asshole Shigaraki's power without it being lethal. A good way to actually train for when I take that bastard down so I'm getting in on this as well."
"Precisely and while we hope you never have to face him again we will prepare all the class for it with the aid of Agreste and if possible Monoma to Copy it if he can withstand the toll it takes." All Might said though he wasn't sure it was possible given the nature of Cataclysm and how Adrien actually needed his enhanced constitution just to use it. "It's something we've been planning since we learned of Shigaraki's power so as soon as we can we'll start training against a safer version of it."
"Yes it is late and you two have classes and training to do." Nezu said. "So, I think we should call it a night now. If you have anymore questions we can meet with you to discuss them."
"For the best, I have to check in with Sanguina back in Tokyo to make sure things are going smoothly and that I can be cleared to retake command there." Mage said to some confusion from Izuku while Bakugo just ignored him. "See you later."
With that Mage just vanished from the room. It would take a while to get used to the full extent of his power and who he was, but Izuku at least was ready for it. Bakugo still had lingering questions, but he would sort them out on his own when he had the time to ponder them properly, if he cared enough to do so that is which he didn't at the moment. They could bring up more semantic stuff with All Might but for now it was time to head back to the dorm.
In order to avoid any suspicions, and because Bakugo didn't want it, he left first to head back to the dorm while Izuku stayed for some more direct training planning with All Might as Nezu to left to deal with some paperwork. It had certainly been a long meeting, one filled with unexpected and new revelations, but Izuku was glad for it.
That was because now knew more and could prepare better for the future and what it held for him. Little did he know that things were about to change in the hero world as a new threat reared its slumbering head as it prepared to declare war on the society it felt had oppressed it for generations.
Ah a nice little ominous ending to foreshadow what is to come but I am sure those of you who know what is coming will know who it refers to. Don't worry, I won't just be glossing over that, the next chapter which is part of this series of transitional chapters before the Endeavor Agency arc will help set up how that will be informed during this story though the actual events of that arc won't be seen in this story so stay tuned for that chapter coming next week and it should be about as long as this one. Anyway, now Izuku and Bakugo know the truth of Mage and that Marinette and Adrien also know, what will come of it only time will tell, the same with other secrets, as we continue on with the story and the coming arcs and time skip original content which is open to suggestions for things people want to see as I still have about 10 original content chapters to sort out in that arc. That is all I have for you though so I will leave this chapter off here. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
