authors note : Originally Nathan put into place protection against his parents that still hasn't been put into affect since he just made the call. What Nathan didn't see coming was the threat his parents would become to Dawn. He has been well aware of his parents dislike/hatred of Haley.
Hours Later
In the morning
Nathan made his way from upstairs and into the kitchen.
The mouth watering aroma of breakfast food being made brought him out of the haze he had been in since last night.
" Cinnamon Waffles. Bacon. Eggs."
"I got the food plated. I was just going to head upstairs and wake up the kids. And i will."
"But from the look on you're face. You need to talk."
"How did everything go with Dawn.?" Haley asked. Generally curious.
"It couldn't have gone worse. While you were away. Getting better. My parents had this plan they wanted me to go along with."
"Which is me taking full custody of Nadia and Austin."
"I knew they never wanted us together and didn't expect us to last."
"But them telling me about this plan they created. Forced me to see my parents for who they really are. Poison."
"They've been out of my life since then. And i contacted a lawyer wanting their rights as grandparents to be removed."
"I never figured or expected them to use Dawn's hurt and loss of Rachel. To their advantage. They want custody of her."
"She wants nothing to do with me. She feels like an outsider here."
"A burden. And i don't know what to do."
"I know i shouldn't be coming to you about this. Her."
"Rachel's presence is looming over us keeping us stuck and in turmoil."
"We're finally on the way to some kind of stable ground."
"If going along with this will keep us moving forward then i would do it."
"I can't live without you. I need you." Nathan proclaimed.
Haley took his hand in hers.
"Tear up those papers. Dawn is apart of you. The only man i ever loved. She's family. We are going to get her back and keep Dan and Deb out of our life." Haley replied.
