{ A Serious Problem }

[ Afternoon ]

Kayblis was inside his room, managing whatever little paperwork was on his desk without much difficulty and boredom.

'... It has been 20 and a half years since this town was built. And it had noticably grown and developed from being a small town inhabited by around 600 Lis into a medium sized town inhabited by 1149 of them, including me.'

Kayblis thought, absentmindedly finishing the last of the current paperwork, before getting up and stretching for an entire minute.

Well, what about the System Goddess? Kayblis had met her once, and she complained to him that she had not been summoned for an entire decade, making him lose track of his Levels.

Noticably, he had gained around 250 Levels during the decade. However, he asked the System Goddess that he would like to store his exp for later use, and that he would like to stay at Level 500. The little goddess complied and took away a lot of his levels and experience, and promised to keep his level that way until that right moment. He did feel weakened, but that could not stop him.

Now, after he got out of his house with a small smile on his face, expecting something interesting to happen, something else did.

Something that would make him go serious for once.

He heard a commotion that compelled him to investigate, and proceeded to walk to where it was.

Several Lis and Lis Humans were gathering around a group of injured people who were in the process of being healed by Lif and a few other Lis.

He frowned, thinking that something bad must have happened, all whole wondering where Ram was. Yet a sinking feeling of a bad omen was growing.

Lif approached Chief Kayblis with a face full of sadness.

"Chief, Ram was taken away by a dragon earlier. And we do not know where she is taken to."

Lif said solemnly. As if there was no hope of taking her back.

And Kayblis, he simply turned around.

"... Is that so? Well then, fine, I'll take her back myself."

Kayblis then walked to his residence to pack some supplies like food and water, then took his sword.

He looked serious, because this event really required him to. He never thought something like this could happen, but he might have to be quick on his foot.

The Lis, once again, had to hope.

No other words were needed to be exchanged, and then Kayblis started to run towards the direction a recently recovered Lis Human pointed at the direction where the strange dragon took away Ram.

... Just you wait... whoever you are...

(A/n: Probably a bad decision on myself, but well... this is the Ranceverse... what a strange excuse.)
