Before the group went into the Citadel, Crash gave Jessie eight Wumpa Fruit, causing her to say, "Oh, you got me the Wumpa Fruit," she takes out something, and said, "Here's the Power Gem as promised."

Crash takes, the gem, spins, posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

The group soon went into the Citadel, and notice Samos is in a cage, and soon said, "It's about time you all decided to show up!"

"Nice to see you too!" Daxter said, then asked, "Do they have you mopping the floors now?" This caused everyone to cover their eyes and shook their heads.

Samos did the same as the others, and replied, "There's no time for jokes, Daxter!" Samos looks at something behind him, and continued, "Gol and Maia, but mostly Gol, has kidnapped us sages to sap our energies to power their abominable machine!" The group notice the object, as Samos went on, "It appears Gol has combined the functional remains of a Precursor robot with scavenged artifacts from across the land. Then Gol added a few diabolical additions of his own, creating the one thing capable of opening the Dark Eco Silos!" Samos paused, and said, "If you all can free the four of us, we can use our combined powers to break the for shield surrounding the robot before Gol can use it to destroy the world!" Samos soon said, "Wait, everyone, look out behind you!"

The group notice a lurker brute and a lab assistant were behind them, they were ready fight, but then the Lurker said, "Wait! Wait! We friendly!"

"This one can talk!?" Samos said.

"Yeah, me Bruiser, and with me is Dave," the Lurker, Bruiser said.

The lab assistant, Dave soon said, "We are loyalists to Maia and Dr. Brio, but we are just going on to business, Dr. Brio is now being forced be ready to fight you guys to protect Ripper Roo and Thomas the Sage, while the other failed experiments are next to the sages, while future general Tawna Bandicoot is next to the latest prisoner."

The group looked up, and saw Tawna near Samos, as Bruiser said, "Free all experiments to get Power Gem we have, while one more if you give us one hundred Wumpa Fruit." Crash then gives Bruiser a hundred Wumpa Fruit and said, "Oh, you have Wumpa Fruit," he takes something out, and said, "Here is Power Gem as promised!"

Crash collects Power Gem, spins, posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

Leaf soon flew up, and said, "Jak, Crash, you two, Aku Aku and Daxter must help our masters! We will head to them, but it must be you guys to help free them! And once you free them, we will assist them into helping them!"

Leaf, Tesla, Mildred, and Jessie soon went to their respected masters, and waited for them. Jak then freed a Scout Fly, then went off. Going around, defeating lurkers and lab assistants, collecting orbs. The group begins to use some spinning platforms to get through the first sage.

[Play Heavy Machinery/ Castle Machinery - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy]

The group move continues, collecting orbs, breaking crates, freeing a Scout Fly, and going through many puzzle-like mechanisms. Jak then powered up with a Yellow Eco vent nearby, broke some orb crates, but then some small hopping lurkers, causing Daxter to say, "We got company guys! Lots of lurkers!"

[Stop Music]

(A/N: Normal Jak and Daxter Music)

Jak blasted the some of the lurkers, and then powered up from some Red Eco in a vent, and began fighting the lurkers, and taking out some generators that spawns the lurkers. Crash did help out as well, and once they took out all the lurkers, a door opened, causing Daxter to say, "The door's open, let's get going!"

The group soon went onto some spinning platforms, and waiting for them was Mildred, who was near a man that was armored, and like her, had red skin, making the group believe this is the Red Sage, Brutus. The group though were shocked that next to him was a cage with one of the failed experiments, which is none other than Koala Kong. Crash soon breaks the cage to free Koala Kong, since he is on his side now since he failed, while Jak broke the generator that imprisoned Brutus' cage, causing a Power Cell to come out as well, which Jak collects.

Mildred soon said, "Well done, you freed my master!"

Koala Kong soon said, "Me, sorry, for what happened at Rock Village."

Aku Aku soon said, "It's okay, we forgive you since we freed you."

Soon Brutus laughs, and said, "You've finally come and rescue me! Do you know how long I've been in here?" He held out his hands, and asked, "What took you so long?" he laughs, and asked, "What are your names?"

Aku Aku replied, "The name is Aku Aku, and with me is Crash Bandicoot, and also-"

Suddenly Aku Aku was interrupted, and even as Jak was about to speak, Daxter then said, "I'm Daxter!" he paused, and said, "He's Jak. They're all with me."

Brutus soon said, "Good job, Daxter! You're a real hero!" he soon thinks, and said, "You've all got to stop Gol from launching the robot!" he cracks his knuckles, and said, "I'll use my Eco power to help open the shield door."

"I'll help too, master," Mildred said.

Brutus and Mildred soon blasted a beam of Red Eco towards the shield wall.

Koala Kong and the group went onto a platform near the area, Jak then went to it, and powered it up with a Blue Eco cluster, but Daxter soon said, "We need Blue Eco to charge this platform up!" The group see Koala Kong soon went off somewhere, where it is, none of them know, and went on. During there next trek to free the next sage and failed experiment, doing puzzle-like mechanisms, collecting orbs, freeing another Scout Fly, then went into a room with many mechanisms.

[Play The Lab - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy]

Going through the gauntlet of mechanisms, and floating platforms, and fiery beams that might roast them, but then they reached some platforms that Jak powers up with Blue Eco from a nearby vent, collecting orbs that floated around, and freeing another Scout Fly. The group soon went on some moving platforms, which some are being blasted by the fiery beams, and reached a door that was near an orb cache, but it didn't open when they approached. Daxter soon asked, "Why isn't the door opening? Do we need Blue Eco?"

Aku Aku soon replied, "I don't think so, if I remember what Dave said, we need to defeat Brio, who is somewhere else."

Jak and Crash soon notice another door and went to it, which it opens, and the group went into the new room. Inside this there were stuff meant for chemistry, and in-front of one table was Nitrus Brio. He soon turns around, while mixing some chemicals, and said, "I am sorry if I need to fight you, but you have to defeat me in order to reach Thomas the Blue Sage!"

[Play Dr. Nitrus Brio - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy]

Aku Aku soon said, "Don't forget Jak and Crash, you two must work together to defeat your enemies."

Brio soon tosses a green beaker, causing a blobby-like slug to appear, but Crash jumps on it, causing a green beam to hit Brio. Brio then tosses a purple beaker, which explodes. Brio then tosses two more green beakers, causing two more slugs to come out, but Crash jumps on them as well, causing two green beams to hit Brio. Brio retaliates by throwing three purple beakers, which all explode as well. Brio next tossed three green beakers, causing three slugs to appear, but Crash jumps on all three, causing three more beams to hit Brio, causing Brio to retaliate by tossing five purple beakers. Finally, have enough, Brio drinks both purple and green chemicals, causing him to hold his neck, and transforms into a giant, green, muscular monster.

Daxter soon said, "Yikes! That guy is huge! Jak, I suggest you take over and give Crash a break." Jak then nodded in agreement, and both him and Crash Bandicoot high fived each other, as if Jak was tagging in to take over. Brio then pounds around the ground, causing a brick from the ceiling to fall. As Brio was approaching Jak, while still pounding on the ground, Jak jumps on the brick, and spin kicks him in the face, causing Brio to roar in anger. Jak repeated the process two more times, and Brio was defeated.

(Normal Jak and Daxter music)

Brio was unconscious, as he shrinks back to normal. He gets up, then noticed he is in nothing but his briefs, he then gets up, and said, "Please excuse me!" he runs off, and in a few minutes, he had the attire he had on before he transformed, he then said, "I am sorry I had to fight you, but it was orders, otherwise I would be forced to be dropped into Dark Eco." The group was shocked at that, then Brio said, "I will open the door to let you free Thomas."

The group soon went to the locked door, with Brio joining them, and waiting for them was Tesla, with in one cage the next failed experiment, Ripper Roo, and in the other, a man with blue skin, mechanical arm braces, holding a staff, and a weird helmet, making them believe that this is the Blue Sage, Thomas.

Before Jak could release them, Jak grabbed a Blue Eco cluster, activating a platform, and running to the orb cache he passed after defeating Brio, activating it with the Blue Eco, and collected the orbs in it. Jak then went to the generator that was keeping Ripper Roo and Thomas' cage, causing also a Power Cell to come out as well, which Jak collects, and it frees also Ripper Roo and Thomas.

"You guys have accomplished on finally acquiring for my Master his freedom!" Tesla said, while Ripper Roo laughs hysterically, while Tesla soon said, "I know it's weird, but Ripper Roo said, that his is happy that he released him, and he is sorry for the trouble in Lost Precursor City."

Brio soon said, "I am surprised that you can understand that derange kangaroo."

Thomas soon looks at Jak, Crash, Daxter, and Aku Aku, and said, "Good work, fellows! Old Samos was right about you all of you!" he looks below and said, "Great piles of Precursor metal!" he points at the robot, and said, "That insidious mechanical creation must not be allowed to wreak its havoc! I will try to actuate the shield door by eliciting a conduit of energy between myself and the vast portal below!"

"I will give acquire you with some assistance in your endeavor as well, master!" Tesla said.

Daxter soon was confused, and said, "Uh, yeah. You two do that. We'll uh," he pauses, and said, "just go find more help," he then yells out, "Weirdos!" Jak and Crash were annoyed by what Daxter said, but both grinned at the Blue Sage and his apprentice, who both blasted some Blue Eco at the shield door, as the group went off, while Ripper Roo and Brio went off somewhere.

The group went off, defeated a lurker and a lab assistant, breaking some crates, then jumped onto some rotating platforms, while looking at the entrance of the Citadel, seeing with Bruiser and Dave were Koala Kong, Ripper Roo, and N. Brio, and went to an area that had a dark abyss, and some Precursor launcher.

[Play Cortex Power - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy]

Jak then frees another Scout Fly, then powered up with Blue Eco from a vent, and collecting some orbs after activating a nearby cache. Jak then launches up, while Daxter soon yells while he and Crash were holding on, "Land on the next launcher!" Jak did land on the launcher, collected some orbs thanks to the Blue Eco, along with a Blue Eco cluster, then Jak launches again, causing Daxter to yell, "Don't miss the next launcher!" Jak didn't miss it, getting some orbs, and another Blue Eco cluster. Jak continued on his launching himself with Crash and Daxter in tow, collecting orbs as well, until they reached a ledge, but Jak lost his power, and couldn't open the cache on the ledge.

The group soon were then with Jessie, and with her were two cages, one had the last failed experiment, which was Pinstripe Potoroo, and with him was a man with a brown tunic, white shirt underneath it, a helmet, goggles, holding a gun, white beard, and yellow skin, making the group believe this is the Yellow Sage, Cletis.

[Stop Music]

Before Jak freed him, Jessie soon said, "I heard you freed Thomas and Brutus," she then takes out two objects, and said, "Here are two Power Gems, as promised."

Crash collects the two Power Gems, spins, posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

Jak then breaks the generator, causing a Power Cell to appear, which Jak collects.

Jessie soon said, "Yee-haw, you freed my master!" she takes something out, and said, "Here is another Power Gem as a reward."

Crash collects the Power Gem, spins, posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

Pinstripe and Cletis were freed, Pinstripe soon said, "Thanks for the save, and I'm sorry for the mischief in the Snowy Mountain."

Cletis soon said, "Who would've thought I'd live to see the day when I need to be rescued by a bandicoot, a mask, a boy and his muskrat!" Jak then chuckles a bit of what Cletis calls Daxter, who looks at Jak, and looks away, as if to act innocent, as the sage soon sighs, and said, "I'm gonna give Gol and Maia, but mostly Gol, a little payback for this embarrassment! Then we'll see about cooking up some muskrat stew," this caused Daxter to put his hands to his neck, and gulps at what Cletis said.

"Let me help ya with that, master," Jessie said, as both her and Cletis blasted a beam of Yellow Eco at the shield, but then some platforms soon rose up, causing Daxter to say, "Let's go climb up those platforms."

Jak soon collected a Blue Eco cluster, which not only activated a platform that Pinstripe uses to head off to where Dave and Bruiser are, but also, once Jak goes to it, heads back to the launcher area, and activates to orb cache, and collects the orbs inside it. Jak then went through some rotating platforms and freed the semi-last Scout Fly. The group soon see the Dave, Bruiser, Brio and the experiments, along to their surprise is Papu Papu. While following this group up the machine, collecting orbs, and freeing the final Scout Fly, causing a Power Cell to appear, which Jak collects.

They then collect the last of the orbs, while Crash broke the last of the crates, causing a Power Gem to appear, which Crash collects, then spins, posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

Jak then broke the last generator, causing a Power Cell to appear, and collects it. The cages that had Tawna and Samos. Dave and Bruiser's group soon looked at them, and Dave soon said, "Well done! You freed all the experiments," he takes out a gem, and said, "Here's a Power Gem for you troubles."

Crash collects the Power Gem, spins, posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

Leaf, who was also waiting for them, said, "I am very glad you saved my master!"

"And me as well," Tawna said, as well.

Samos soon flies up and said, "Good work, boys, and Crash! You're real heroes now! Leaf and I'll combine our Green Eco Powers with the other sages and their apprentices, and together we'll open the shield door surrounding the Precursor Robot!"

Daxter soon said, "Yeah yeah, that sounds like a good start! And then after you guys open that shield, what are you guys gonna do about the robot?"

"Nothing, Daxter," Samos replied, as he continues, "The sages and I have to keep the shield open, while soon our apprentices might take a breather here. It's up to you three to figure out how to destroy the robot!"

"Oh great," Daxter said, paused, then complains, "I get to help not only a crazy, but helpful bandicoot, but the guy that turned me into a furball destroy not only the bandicoot's creator, but the only person who can turn me back!" Daxter then gulps.

Samos and Leaf flew down, and blasted the shield with Green Eco, while Samos said, "First we save the world! Then we'll mostly try to convince Gol to help Daxter!"

The shield walls were down, causing the other apprentices to fly near the groups in exhaustion, while Samos dusted his hands, then suddenly, Gol, Maia, and Cortex on a hoverboard came up, and Gol soon said, "You're too late, Samos! Once I possess limitless Dark Eco, I will have the key to creation itself!"

Samos soon said, "This is madness! Releasing that much Dark Eco will destroy everything we know! Just look what it's done to you, despite Maia might've had less of it!"

Maia reluctantly said with a fake smile, "It has given us a beauty beyond anything you could understand!"

"'BEAUTY'?!" Daxter asked in shock, paused, then asked, "Despite you still maybe don't need to Maia, but has your brother looked in a mirror lately?!"

Maia was about to reply, but Cortex beats her to it, and said, "Just wait until they open the silos, little rodent. You think short and fuzzy is bad."

"And to think, you three, but mostly the boy and the ottsel traveled all this way for my help," he paused, then said, "Fools! Enjoy your front-row seats to the recreation of the world, come sister!" he soon flies to the robot, but stops, and asked, "Sister?"

Maia then scowls at Gol, and said, "No, Gol, Samos is right, look at what we've become, all due to progress, so I faked all this since the beginning."

"What!? Sister, you are letting emotions and thoughts cloud your judgement, this is what we've been dreaming of since our studies with Dark Eco!" Gol said.

Maia glares, and said, "No! That is your dreams, not mine! We just got to stop this madness!"

Gol then was mad, and said, "I knew I should have exposed you more to Dark Eco! For you are as weak-minded as them!" he then slaps Maia, causing her to fall towards the group, which she then was picked up by the apprentices.

Cortex soon said, "Not to worry, Gol, I can give you a bit of support while you try and open the silos by yourself, and I will gladly help you out."

"Very well Cortex, see you there," Gol looks at the group, and said, "And I hope you guys still enjoy the front-row seats of the dawning of a new world!" Gol then flies towards the robot, which caused pieces of its eye to open so Gol can go in, then closed up, and the robot begins to fly up, while Cortex followed suit.

Samos soon looks at the group, and said, "Jak! Crash! Take the elevator up and stop that robot!"

Before they did that, they went to Jessie, who was checking with the others to see if Maia's alright, then looks at them, and said, "I know it is bad timing, and the world is at stake here, but since I know you freed Samos and helped the ones loyal to Brio and Maia," she takes two things out, and said, "Here's two Power Gems."

Crash collects the gems, spins, posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

Jessie soon said, "I think you have all my tasks complete," she takes something out, and said, "Here's a special Yellow Power Gem for your effort."

Crash collects the gem, spins posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

Aku Aku soon said, "Okay, now, let's stop those two from opening the silos!"

Jak and Crash, with Daxter and Aku Aku went to the elevator, and Jak dove to activate the button in the middle, causing the elevator to rise. Once they were outside, the soon notice the robot blasting a beam to open what looks like the silos, but just as they were going to stop it, Cortex begins flying towards them.

[Play Dr. Neo Cortex - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy]

He looks at the heroes, and said, "Darn you, Crash Bandicoot, along with Jak and Daxter!" He soon begins blasting at them, but then Crash soon notice a green shot, then spins at it, hitting Cortex, he soon said, "You won't stop our plans!" Cortex begins shooting more until two more green shots came, which Crash spins and they combined to hit Cortex again. Cortex soon blasted some more shots, during those three more green shots came out, and Crash spins them back at Cortex. Cortex blasted more shots, but then two more green shots came, and Crash spins him back at him. Cortex soon shoots a green shot at them, and Crash spins it back at him. Cortex couldn't control his hoverboard and begins flying straight towards the robot.

[Stop music]

Upon hitting it, Gol soon said, "Watch it, Cortex!"

"They beaten me, Gol, let me in!" Cortex soon said, pounding on the robot's head.

Gol replied, "I don't think so, cover me while I try and open the Silos!"

Cortex thought, and said, "Very well!" Cortex then gets ready.

Jak, Crash, Daxter and Aku Aku used a platform to head for the silos, and Gol is still blasting the silos, Cortex soon laughs, Gol laughs as well, but then Jak powers up with Yellow Eco, puts on his goggles, and blasted the robot, causing Gol to scream in pain. After some more shots, the eye part that had the laser blows up. The robot then roars, then it begins to launch some large bomb, soon Jak notices a Blue Eco vent opens up, he then powers up with it heads for a launcher nearby and launched himself, with Daxter and Crash.

Cortex soon said, "Eco won't protect him now!" as the bomb detonates with them avoiding the blast.

As they were falling, they notice the silos were opening, as they land, Gol soon said, "You all just won't give up, will you?"

The robot soon blasted some Green Eco to the Dark Eco, causing some brutish lurkers, while Gol said, "Soon the Dark Eco will be mine!" while also, "Stand still!"

Jak soon blasted the lurkers with Yellow Eco, while Cortex said, "Take them out!" and also, "Finish them all off once and for all!"

The lurkers were defeated, then the robot launches another bomb, so Jak powers up with Blue Eco again, and launches himself, Daxter, and Crash up, while Gol said, "No mercy!"

The robot then blasted some fire balls which explodes some waves, which did hit Jak and Crash, and then blasted the spot with Yellow Eco, destroying it, causing the robot to roar again, then launches another bomb, causing Jak to power up with Blue Eco, went to the launcher, and launches himself, with Daxter and Crash to fly up, and then the robot prepares its next weapon, and begins to fire at them, but Jak shoots it with Yellow Eco, causing not only Gol, but Cortex as well to scream in pain, until the weapon was destroyed, causing the robot to roar, it then prepared its bomb launcher again.

Suddenly, Leaf, Tesla, Mildred, and Jessie soon came, and Leaf said, "Crash, place the colored Power Gems onto the spires around the silos!"

Crash did put on each spire the Green, Blue, Red, and Yellow Power Gems, and Leaf, Tesla, Mildred, and Jessie blasted their respected gems with the respected Eco, causing all four Eco to combine to create something.

Cortex covers his eyes, and said, "This stuff, it's blinding me! What is this bright blobby substance?!"

Gol replies in shock and disbelief, "Light Eco! It does exist!"

Cortex knew this was bad, and said, "That boy must not be allowed to get it!"

Daxter then said in shock, "Light Eco! That could be the stuff to change me back!" he then hits Jak on the head, but then said, "Or," he thinks, and said, "it might stop that robot," he then thinks more, and said, "Stay fuzzy, save world. Choices," he then thinks and said, in a grumpy voice, "Okay, fine! We'll save the world. But do it quickly before I change my mind!" He and Jak look, and grinned at each other, then looks at the robot in anger.

As some bombs begin to count down, Gol soon said, "We're not gonna take it!"

But then Jak collects a bit of Light Eco, and was powered up, Cortex soon said, "Do something!"

Jak then blasted some Light Eco at the robot, destroying it, causing Cortex to fall down towards the trees below, while the head of the robot, with Gol inside it to fall into the Dark Eco, which soon sinks into the Eco with Gol yelling in pain until it was muffles, and the silos closed by itself.

The sages, their apprentices, Keira, Tawna, Maia, Brio, his experiments, and Papu Papu soon looked up, and then they notice Jak, Daxter, and Crash soon were riding the platform they rode to the silos, heading straight towards them, and the heroes then dance, despite Jak and Daxter soon were dance differently than Crash.

(A/N: Think of Crash's dance that he does when he collects the gems in both Crash 2 and 3)

Samos soon said with a chuckle, "Well, it looks like I may have been too hard on you boys, and Crash! You do have what it takes to be heroes!"

Keira soon said, "But, Daxter," she looks at Daxter, and said, "now we can't change you back."

Aku Aku soon said, "Sometimes the greatest heroes must make the greatest sacrifices."

"Yeah, sacrifices," Daxter said, then looks at Keira, and said, "And don't worry about me baby! You know what they say: Big things come in small packages!" This caused Keira to shake her head and facepalm.

Thomas soon said, "Jak, you have an incredible talent for channeling Eco!" he looks at Samos, and said, "Samos, you may have been right about this one after all!"

Cletis soon said, "Not to mention a little help from Crash Bandicoot as well, he really did power up the Power Gems, which help our heroes, especially that muskrat as well."

Brutus then said, "And Keira, without your help and ingenuity none of this would have been possible," he then chuckles, then said, looking at Keira, and Maia, "Perhaps we've found two new sages, now that Gol Acheron is lost with Cortex."

Samos soon looks at the silos, and said, "Yes, Gol and Cortex," he thinks and said, "the Dark Eco probably destroyed them. Eh, probably."

Brio soon said, "I doubt it for Cortex, he fell down below, not hitting into the Dark Eco, making a chance he might've survived, and maybe escape towards where we all came from."

Maia thought, and asked, "Wait, where you all came from?"

Brio replied, "Yes, we came somewhere, but me and my experiments must find another way there."

Daxter soon said, "Ah who cares if that scientist or Gol survived?!" he pounds his chest, and said, "Bring 'em on, we can take 'em again, right Jak and Crash?" no response, and asked again, "I said, right, Jak and Crash?!" he looks at Crash about to kiss Tawna, Jak is about to kiss Keira, but Daxter soon stops Crash and Tawna, and said, "Whoa!" then stops Jak and Keira, and said, "Put it on ice, you two!"

[Play The Great Hall - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy]

Jak and Crash notice something, along with everyone else, causing Samos to say, "Holy yakow! What could that be?"

Maia replied, "I don't know, Gol and I never been able to open this."

Keira soon said, "Wow! It's an ancient Precursor door! It looks like it will only open if we fill all one hundred holes with Power Cells!"

Daxter soon said, "Uh, we're heroes, remember? We have a hundred Power Cells!"

Leaf soon noticed something, and said, wait, there is also seventy-two holes that looks like it can be filled with seventy-two Power Gems!"

Aku Aku looks at Crash, and said, "I checked Crash, we only have sixty-six Power Gems."

Daxter soon said, "Oh boy, here we go again!"

Keira soon said, "Actually, I forgot to mention I had all along a special Power Gem, but it might only feel a bit of power once you complete everything else, which is get the orbs, and free my Scout Flies."

Maia soon said, "I do have actually five more Power Gem as well, help the sages' apprentices and I will give you the remaining Power Gems, along with a special Power Gem of my own," Crash soon went to Maia, and said, "Oh you helped the apprentices with the dilemmas in their homes," she takes out four gems, and said, "Here are four Power Gems."

Crash collects them, spins posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"

Maia soon said, while taking something out, "Well, with that, here is a Purple Power Gem."

Crash collects it, spins, posed, and said, "Ba da daa!"
