I'm baaaaack

Afton was a smart man. He would admit it that he was good at nearly everything he set his mind to and he would admit he was pretty strong physically. An axe cutting through a animatronic body wasn't something you did every day

So that's why he was contemplating why he was gloating in his mind while being slapped through a building

"Thank breadbear for me making me make the springlock endos very durable!" William yelled as he finally hit a wall that was durable enough that he didn't go straight through it. Before we could really revel in the small victory however the demonic horseman smashed through another wall pretty close to Afton's head, making him slightly jump up from the shock "GOD FUCK WHAT ARE YOU!"

The Nuckelavee stared at the green bunny man very intently. The thing wasn't very smart compared to a human but it was far smarter than the regular Grimm. That's why it was so confused. The green bunny man it was staring at had a stench. A stench only Grimm could perceive. The stench should indicate the thing in front of him was dead

But the green bunny man was yelling so loudly he couldn't be dead!

The Grimm shook it's head while the horse head leaned forward and sniffed Afton. The Grimm decided it was gonna keep attacking. Make sure the dead thing is dead so that the dead wouldn't suddenly rise. What it wasn't ready for was that Afton finally got over his yelling fit and swung something at the horses head. That something was the axe Afton managed to hold onto

The horse wasn't fast enough to move out of the way and had the left half of its face dug into by the axe. Of course the creature screamed in pain from just having it face damaged in such a significant way and of course. Afton got kicked through another wall. Surprising everyone including himself and the Grimm Afton got out nearly unscathed, ignoring the multitude of new holes his suits back had

The Rider part of the Nuckelavee however was far more surprised than it's horse counterpart. Dead thing that yelled managed to survive a hit that should've killed it, managed to hurt it AND survive another hit. It didn't even sense the light that some humans had to protect them. Was the green bunny man perhaps another Grimm? Grimm do take very strange forms so it was possible even if this one had no bone plates

Slowly the Nuckelavee came to the conclusion that yes, the green bunny man was a Grimm! A durable and strange looking one but a Grimm and it made a mistake by attacking it. It also decided that it could go back to it's cave to rest. It had nothing to fear with a seemingly immortal Grimm guarding its territory

That just left a confused and irritated Afton inside a broken down building. His limbs feeling heavier than normal as he just didn't have the energy to move even as he heard a noise from his fazwatch. Even through all the pain Afton managed to sit up without cursing

"Why do I still feel pa-" Afton couldn't finish his line of thought as he looked at the fazwatch. He could feel his blood immediately start to boil from sheer rage

'Mission: Defeat the Nuckelavee'

'Status: Unfinished and moved'

"MOTHER-"

[]

"-FUCKER"

Ruby slightly jumped as she heard the sudden scream coming from the direction of…. The right path. Maybe the others were right when they stopped her from choosing right, but now Afton was in danger!

"WILLIE!" Vanny screamed and basically began to sprint down towards the ruined village where Afton seemingly went. Everyone except Freddy was just staring at the running bunny lady in surprise. How was she running so fast seemingly without Aura? Freddy was staring but also snickering

"She r-r-re-r-really has so-s-some issues" Freddy said snickering for a few minutes before he let out a pretty fake sounding sigh as he stared at Vanny getting farther and farther "should-should we f-f-follow her?"

That did get everyone out of their staring and made them look at the mechanical bear. Should they really go and get the 2 bunnies back? Well Ruby at least thought so. They weren't the best travel companions but they weren't outright horrible. She even began to like having more people around

"Yeah we should go help! Maybe Afton is hurt and Vanny is just running into ruins filled with Grimm! She'd be going to her death without Aura" Ruby said. Jaune and Ren seemed unconvinced but she managed to at least convince Nora so by proxy Ren too and with Jaune being in the minority he had to go with the others

"Let's go save Green bunny man and Patchwork bunny woman!" With that statement Nora began to run after Vanny. This time someone running down the mountain at least made a bit of sense. Next up was Ren who went after Nora pretty quickly. He managed to look pretty graceful while running down a mountain and then there was Jaune. He decided to try something new. He deployed his shield and took a running start, finally laying his shield on the ground to use it as a sort of surfboard. Surprisingly it worked and he seemed to be actually shield surfing

That just left Ruby and Freddy on top of the mountainside. Freddy just stared at Ruby while Ruby stared between her running friends and Freddy. Finally Freddy began to break the silence between the 2. "How a-a-am I gonna g-g-ge-g-get down there?"

That question however made Ruby smile a little as she began to think of a challenge for herself. Slowly she inched closer and closer to Freddy while Freddy began to slowly take steps back. He didn't like the look in Ruby's eyes. Him not liking the look in those eyes didn't matter in the end as Ruby quickly used her semblance to grab Freddy and speed down the mountainside after her friends, all the while Freddy yelled to be let go

None of them realised the crow that perched atop the mountainside they just got off. None of them even realised as the crow let out a suspiciously human sigh before it took off to follow them again. None of them even realised as a man was watching them from a distance. A man who was still very mad at those brats

Okay but seriously. Currently on break with writing unrelated stuff so I can work on this. I would expect like semi-regular updates to be going on till the end of all the minstral arcs. Writing is kinda hard since I have a ton of ideas for other fics (most are one shots) and I sometimes work on them to stave of boredom that I don't want to write anymore

Also when this goes up I'm already writing the next chapter so expect another before next week
