"I'm taking care of my girlfriend." Sam said. ""You wouldn't know anything about that."

"I'm here."

"Where have you been the last three days?" "I've been with her." Like what someone who loves her is supposed to do."

"Fuck off, I love her."

"Yeah, as long as it doesn't get in the way of your latest movie, right?"

"You know nothing about our relationship."

"Really?" "You guys were happy until you decided you wanted to be Mr. Hollywood, so you abandoned her." "How am I doing?"

"You're wrong."

"You just can't handle that she's finally with a man who puts her first."

"She didn't seem with you when she was in Santa Barbara with me." "Especially when we made love."

"You mean when she turned down your proposal, because she loves me?"

"Loves you?" "Do you really think your fling with her compares to our years together?"

"Fling?" "Yeah, whatever you have to tell yourself."

Lauren came out of the bedroom where the door had been closed.

"Who's at the door?" She asked going over to them. "John?" She said shocked when she saw him. She turned to Sam. "Come here." She turned back to John. "Sit down." John went inside and sat down on the couch. Lauren and Sam went into the bedroom and shut the door "I didn't know he was coming, I swear."

"I know."

"Can you go so I can see what he wants?"

"Ok." He said but didn't want to. He put his shirt back on. "Are you gonna sleep with him again?"

"No." She kissed him. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Sam left.

Lauren said down next to John

"Hi." She said.

"Hi." "How's your hand?"

"It hurts a little but I'll be fine."

"Good." "I'm coming on the road with you for the week."

"What about work?"

"You're more important." Lauren knew this wouldn't be good.
