Hello and welcome to chapter two of The Music of Lucy. Please welcome back my friend and c-writer, Darklord331.

Dark: It's good to be back in this chaotic mess that is about to be unleashed.

It was a good start, and felt natural to do so.

Dark: Indeed it was, though then again we need to prepare for an onslaught, an incoming doom that is about to happen.

True. Oh, and they;ll be reacting to three songs this chapter.

Dark: Then the show must go on! (Dark covers himself in a cape before revealing an elegant suit) This is the moment we have been waiting for! The magical world of music is upon us!

… I now can see how you and Joy are friends…

Dark: Obviously!

Oh, by the way, we need cover art for this story. Know anyone who can do that?

Dark: Hmmmmmmm, other than commissioning art. No, we would need to either reach out someone from other people to commission a cover art.

(Shrugs) Just thought I'd ask. Now before this gets too long, I'm bringing in today's guest to do the disclaimer. Welcome Natsu Dragneel.

Natsu: (Walks in) "HEY! WHAT'S UP!?"

Dark: What the?! How did you get in here? Weren't you supposed to be in Fairy Tail?

You've read my stories right? I bring in guests from the story. Don't worry, it won't affect anything.

Dark: Oh I see, oh well. Gotta get used to it then.

Understandable.

Natsu: "Yeah, yeah, can we hurry it up? I want to listen to Luci's music!"

Impatient one, isn't he?

Dark: It's his funeral I see.

Natsu: (Pouts) "Hey…"

But yes, this is dragging on. We should do the disclaimer.

Dark: Sure.

Natsu: "Okay then~! These two do not own Fairy Tail as it is owned by Hiro Mashima and Funimation. They also do not own any of the music used in this story. Just the plot changes and what not. Was that good?"

I think it was, you Dark?

Dark: Good enough.

Okay then, onto the story.

Chapter 2: Calm Before the Storm

Natsu was holding the Lacrima in his hand, smiling at all the guild. He looks at the title of the song. "And our first song is… 'I'm Still Standing'?" he asked at the end, sounding confused. "The heck does that mean?"

"It means that her last warning is to not look through her personal belongings, Natsu!" Gray shouted.

"Haha… You're so funny I forgot to laugh…" Natsu stated, in a deadpan tone of voice.

"No this is serious Natsu, You better stop this before you-"

"Too late!" Natsu shouted, placing the Lacrima in the device and had the screen big enough for the whole guild to watch.

"No wait!" Everyone shouted, but it was too late, the video started.

The video starts in what looks like an empty music room, with every kind of instrument you could think of in it. Just then, Lucy slammed the door open then slammed it closed in anger. "Damn it dad, why won't you listen to me for once!?"

An instant everyone lost their fearful state and expression when they watched Lucy looking frustrated for some reason. She looked like she was angry at her dad for some reason.

"Wonder what that's all about?" Natsu asked, looking confused.

"I'm wondering where she's recording this from," Happy stated, a pondering look on his face.

Lucy walked over to a grand piano, and sat down at it. "If you won't hear me talking, I hope you hear me singing and what I think about everything…!" She snapped her fingers and trumpets flew in from behind her.

"Oh look! She's about to sing dad!" Romeo pointed at Lucy, looking excited.

"Well you have to admit Marco, bards have a sick talent when it comes to music." Wakaba rubbed his chin while looking impressed at what Lucy was doing.

"Let's hear what she's got," Wakaba stated.

Lucy slid her hand across the keys of the piano, starting the song, and having the trumpets start the song and drums in the back playing with them. She then started to play the piano after a second. The tone was jazzy and upbeat.

Everyone was bobbing their heads to the beat. Some were snapping their fingers as well.

"Well, looks like Lu has a great choice in music," Cana stated, taking a drink of alcohol.

"Man, I haven't heard this song for a while. Makes me think back to the bar I used to attend back then."

"Ah, jazz. I almost forgot about it. It reminds me of the time where I met my sweet beloved when we discovered our love for jazz." Makarov sighs happily when he remembers the time of his youth.

"Wait gramps. Is that how you meet grandma?" Laxus asked his grandfather.

"But of course! I forgot to tell you this before, a little slip of my mind." Makarov chuckles sheepishly as he rubs the back of his head. "We all have our own taste of brand music, your father used to be into what they call it again? Ah! Hip hop while you constantly listen to rock and roll."

"... I cannot believe my old man listened to that…" Laxus stated flatly.

You could never know what it's like

Your blood like winter freezes just like ice

And there's a cold lonely light that shines from you

You'll wind up like the wreck you hide behind that mask you use

And did you think this fool could never win

Well look at me, I'm coming back again

I got a taste of love in a simple way

And if you need to know while I'm still standing you just fade away

At that last part, Lucy seemed to create clones of herself out of sound itself, causing her to have five of herself singing at the same time.

The whole guild all blinked seeing that. "Did she just-?" Levy stated, thinking she was seeing stuff.

"Oh! I forgot to mention. Bard magician makes clones of themselves in order to fill in the musical instrument for their songs as most of the time they tend to go solo, which is why you rarely see two bards together." Makarov filled in the information for the ones that were all wondering about it. "Not to say they won't work together if they're making a duet with a bard or someone they trust to sing with."

"... So… Why is Lucy scared of telling us if this is something she can do…?" Bisca asked, looking lost.

"Again, a lot of Bards get bad reputations due to the few bad eggs that use their powers to get things they want, and use others to do so," he said, sighing at the unfortunate treatment of a lot of bards. "Mostly that they can charm people into falling for them unintentaly, some of those people wanting someone that will listen to them."

Everyone groaned hearing that, and how unfair it is people to judge them for something. They went back to listening, enjoying the music.

Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did

Looking like a true survivor, (Ah, AH) feeling like a little kid

I'm still standing after all this time

Picking up the pieces of my life (Ah, AH) without you on my mind

Lucy was singing solo again, he clones joining in for background vocals. They then started to sing all together.

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

"Oh! So that's why it was called 'I'm still standing'!" Natsu exclaimed.

"I think we all figured it out, Flame Brain," Gray snarked.

"Shush you! We're watching Lucy's performance." Mira ordered, making the two grumble.

Once I never could hope to win

You starting down the road leaving me again

The threats you made were meant to cut me down

And if our love was just a circus you'd be a clown by now

"Uh… should we be worried about Lucy for that part of the song we just heard?" Jet asked, after hearing what Lucy sang.

"We've already signed our graves the moment Natsu had started Lucy's record. So we better savor the moment on our last day on Earth." Erza started firmly.

"Yeah, be a man and take it head on," Elfman stated.

"I meant about the threats and all that…" Jet stated flatly, an anime sweatdrop on his head. "Did her father threaten her in some way?"

"You're not wrong there Jet." Droy said as he inspects the lyrics Lucy has been singing. "'The threats you made were meant to cut me down' hmmmmmmm. I'm not as smart as Levy or stupid like a certain Pink Haired Dragon Slayer-"

"IT'S SALMON!" Natsu roared out, but went ignored.

"-but I think it might relate to Lucy's past. With her differences between her family, mostly her father. Not sure about her mother." Droy finished.

Well don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did

Looking like a true survivor, (Ah, AH) feeling like a little kid

I'm still standing after all this time

Picking up the pieces of my (Ah, AH) life without you on my mind

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

Just then Lucy stopped playing the piano, and summoned an eclectic guitar to her, and started doing an epic solo on it.

"Oh, added a bit of rock to the mix," Laxus stated, liking this part. "Impresiver guitar skills as well."

"Since when have you decided to watch Lucy's recording?" Natsu asked.

"I've been here the whole time you moron, I just didn't have anything to say until this point," he told him.

"Not sense the start of the song," Makarov stated. "Although, I will admit, this is a nice twist with the song, gives it a nice flow."

Lucy then sent the guitar back and started to play the piano again.

Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did

Looking like a true survivor, (Ah, AH) feeling like a little kid

I'm still standing after all this time

Picking up the pieces of my(Ah, AH) life without you on my mind

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

I'm still standing yeah yeah yeah

The music stopped and the instruments went back to where they were before, her clones dispersing. Lucy let out a breath, feeling better. "That helped out getting my frustrations out of my system." She then turned to see that the recorder was on. "WHAT THE!?" she shouted, shooting up and walking to it. "HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN ON!? AND WHY WAS IT LEFT ON!?" She then turned it off, making the video end.

"Well, guess that she didn't purposely leave the lacrima recording on." Levy stated, having a sheepish smile on her face.

"Guess the last person that was in there must have left it on," Gray suggested, shrugging.

"So who wants to pick the next one!?" Natsu shouted to everyone.

"NO!" Everyone shouted at him, nearly knocking him over.

"What!? Why!?' Natsu asked in shock.

"You idiot! Did your brain turn into mush or something! Haven't you heard the master's warning about the wrath of the bard?!" Loke shouted at Natsu.

"Ahhh come on! Don't you want to see more of Lucy's songs?"

"You're pushing your grave Natsu! At this point I'm even wondering if years of fighting made you dumb as a rock, Flamebrain!"

"What was that Snow Fairy?!"

"You heard me! Dumb as a m-ther-cking rock!"

Marco gasped in shock. "Language! There are kids here, idiot!" Marco amonoished, covering his son's ears from hearing that type of word.

"Stay out of this!" the two shouted at him.

"Gray… Natsu…" Erza called out in a cold tone of voice, her arms crossed, and she was standing right over them.

The two stiffen in fear.

"What did I say about fighting each other?"

"A-aye sir!"

"A-aye si-wait Happy don't!" When Gray was about to sync his voice with Natus when he said Happy getting one random Recording Lacrima.

"Maybe this one Natsu?" Happy asked his companion.

"NOOOOOOOOO!" The guild shouted, trying to catch the blue flying cat.

"Stop him!" Makarov ordered, also trying to grab the cat.

"Now how do you work this thing again?" Happy asked a nearby guild member who completely forgot his fearful expression.

"Oh, just insert the Lacrima into the device and let it work its magic."

"Thanks mister!"

"No problem Happy." The guild member smiled, helping out his fellow guild member, that is until he remembered something and became pale all of a sudden. "Wait Happy don-"

Happy placed it in like he was told, the screen showing up again.

"Damn it, Happy!" the guild shouted.

"What song did you pick!?" Natsu called out to his best friend.

"I think it was called 'Nightfall'," Happy answered. "I didn't get a good look at it though." Soon the video recording was about to start. "Let's watch Lucy's 'Nightfall' Album, I wonder what it's going to be about."

The guild groaned and sat back down to watch.

The video started up, and what they saw was Lucy's apartment. But the surprising thing was that Lucy had four of her spirits summoned. Lyra, Taurus, Aquarius, Cancer, and her newest Celestial Spirit Virgo all at once.

"Wait!? Lucy can summon more than one spirit!?" Romeo asked in surprise. "I thought it took a lot of magic to summon just one!?"

"You underestimate a bard's magic Romeo. Why do you think Bard practices both their magic and their music? It's to increase their magic reserve in order to perform their songs." Makarov lectured Marco's son.

"Wait, really master? Is that how they make their music?"

"But of course, they are not only talented but also dangerous as well."

"I guess she hid how many Spirits she could actually summon to not draw suspicion on how she can summon so many," Erza stated, putting her hand to her chin.

"There is so much we don't know about Lucy." Gray muttered out. "Like why she left home for starters. Though I'm guessing she and her father have a rocky relationship."

"Thank you guys for coming, I'm glad to finally get you guys to help me out with my song," Lucy stated, happily.

"You took me away from my boyfriend for this…?" Aquarius asked, not sounding happy at all.

"Oh come now Aquarius, it'll be fun~" Lyra stated, just as enthusiastic as Lucy. She then pouted. "I never get summoned that much anyways."

"Well you did make the contract to be only once a month," Lucy reminded her.

"Wait I did?" Lyra asked, actually sounding confused.

Everyone in the guild sweatdropped at the spirit's lack of memory.

"I guess even spirits aren't that intelligent." Gray said while in a deadpanned tone of voice.

"Does that remind you of someone Gray?" A guild member asked the stripper.

"It does; in fact a certain block headed idiot who doesn't take no for an answer."

"Hey! Who are you calling a block head stripper!"

"You, you idiotic dragon!"

"So I need to remind you to stop fighting…?" Erza asked, glaring at the two.

"No ma'am!" both shouted, stopping their fighting.

"You'd think they'd learn by now…" grumbled a cowboy looking man, Alzack Connell. Bisca nodded in agreement.

Lucy sighs at Lyra's actions. "This is also a welcoming gettogether to let Vergo be with all you and help us out," she added.

Virgo waved to them. "Greetings, it is good to see you all again."

"I love the moo-ew look, Virgo," Taurus approved. "You're old master had… was… What's the word I'm looking for?"

"A total asshole?"

"Abusive?"

"Awful?"

"Evil?"

"B-stered?"

"Oi! What did I say about using curse words?" Macao shouted at them.

"Are we wrong?" they all asked him.

"No, but still, there are kids in the guild," he renarded.

"A chauvinistic pig of a man, that has no eye for art or beauty, and has the worst taste in women," Aquarius answered Taurus,

"Yeah, that," Taurus stated, pointing to Aquarius.

"Huh? Hey Natsu, do you know what they're talking about?" Erza asked him, not knowing the full story.

"It was the Quest to burn a book, we found out that the book that was made/forced to be written was by Lucy's favorite author, which he kept locked up. The guy, Everlue I think his name was, was a real piece of work, and would do anything to get his way, no matter what it took, or how low it was." Natsu answered. "Vergo was his spirit before she broke his contract with him."

"Yeah, she was really different before," Gray added, so the others in the guild would know.

"Oh yeah literally like a Gorilla. She was tough and you'll be surprised what she looks like when you first meet her."

"Aye!"

"Then I'm glad she's with Lucy now," Erza stated, remembering the look from before as well. "She might be a lot of help to Lucy since she could change her vocals to help with duets."

"Huh… I guess you're right," Loki stated, glad that Vergo had a good holder.

"I also was finally able to get that one song I was working on for a while done, 'Nightfall'," Lucy informed them. "I need you guys to help me with being in my choir."

"Weren't you working on that for a year Lu?" Cancer asked.

"Yeah, the fight with Eisenwald and Lullaby was just the fight I needed to get it finished," Lucy informed. "I wanted to get it done before I got to 'Snow Fairy' and before I get to my own solo quest."

"I am happy to help you, princess~" Virgo stated, bowing to her.

"Wait, did Lucy make this right before she left as well?" Gray asked in surprise.

"Didn't you hear what she said, Snow Fairy 'Snow Fairy?' She might obviously have recorded this before she made the album 'Snow Fairy'."

"Oh there is actually a brain in that empty skull socket of yours." Gray sarcastically said to Natsu.

"Hey!" he shouted at Gray.

"Enough you two!" Makarov ordered them, making them stop.

"But why use what happened with Eisenwald and Lullaby to make her song?" Levy asked, confused.

"Songs aren't easy to create, Levy. Bard spend years thinking about what kind of new songs they could make, something like a different genre. It takes time for them to make a new song that matches with the intention they want to sing, and need to find the right inspiration for it. Plus finding which musical instrumentals can be used for the song, along with vocals." Makarov lectured Levy.

"Huh… So that's why."

"But why haven't you asked the others in Fairy Tail to help you?" Taurus asked, sounding confused.

"I… haven't told them yet… about my music or my other magic… I'm scared of what they'd think, and if I'm just using my powers on them…" Lucy said, hugging her legs.

"Oh don't worry Lucy. We won't get mad at you for hiding your second magic type, unlike someone who keeps snooping around Lucy's stuff!" Mira stated, starting off calmly, then getting an angry tick mark on her head, her smile strained from holding back her anger, looking at Erza, Natsu and Happy. "I'm giving you a pass, Gray, since you were trying to be the sensible one, but Lucy will still deal out your punishment for watching the first Lacrima Recording that was in her room."

Gray sighs. "I'll take that over what these three will be getting," Gray stated, pointing his thumb at the said three.

"That sounds awfully manly of you Gray!" Elfman respectfully said to Gray before pointing to his naked body. "But seriously put on some clothes."

Gray looked down in shock. "What!? But I had them on, a second ago!?"

Lucy's spirits sighed. "You're going to have to tell them sooner or later," Cancer told her.

"I know… I just want them to know me, not who I was, or what I am…" she stated, sighing.

"I suggest we start your song, princess," Virgo stated. "It might help you feel better."

Lucy took a deep breath, and nodded. "You're right, Vergo." She got off her bed, and summoned her eclectic guitar.

"Oh, is she going to do a rock song of some sort?" Laxus asked, now intrigued.

"I believe so Laxus, does this actually get your attention?" Makarov asked his grandson.

"Don't get the wrong ideas, gramps! I'm only listening to this one song before I get the hell out of here! I'll take a century quest if I have to get away from Bards wrath." He did not want to be anywhere near ground zero when it happened.

"You ungrateful grandson! You would abandon your own guild and run away like a coward?!" Makarov shouted at him.

"Oh, don't give me that, you'd have done the same."

"I… will not comment on that…"

Lucy then summoned dumbs and a… pipe organ?

Seeing Lucy summon that, everyone in the guild was confused.

"Okay, I understand the dumbs… but why a pipe organ of all things?" Elfman asked, looking lost.

"It could be a mixed genre." Levy answered, being a fan of the genre herself.

"A mixed genre?" half of the guild members asked in confusion.

"You see, sometimes musicians find it hard to make a song that is one music genre when their song requires more than that. So it's not common for other musicians to mix different music genres for their songs." Levy answered the guild.

"That is correct, Levy. I'm surprised you know this type of knowledge."

Levy smiled sheepishly. "It's my favorite. I like to hear what people can do when they actually put something that shouldn't go together, but make it work."

"Okaaaaay… but that still doesn't answer which genres she's mixing…" Natsu stated, flatly.

"Aye…" Happy agreed in the same tone of voice.

"Well you'll just have to wait and see," Levy stated.

"Okay everyone, ready to go?" Lucy asked her spirits.

"Yeah, we're ready Lucy!" Lyra cheered.

"Just hurry it up! I want to be with my boyfriend as soon as possible." Aquarius huffed.

"We're ready as soon as you are Lucy!" Cancer answered.

"I'm ready when you are, Luuuuuuuucy!" Taurus shouted, moo-ing.

"Ready when you are, princess," Virgo stated.

"Alright, let's go!" Lucy shouted, playing the guitar and drums first, all of them chanting the start of the song.

All: Here it comes, the story, of mankind's final glory

Into the nightfall

The pipe organs then joined in on the song.

The showdown, now has come, this will be the last curtain

Before the night falls

"Amazing! She got the rhythms correct!" Laxus said with amazement.

"But of course Laxus. Lucy said she has been practicing and working for a year on her album. Bards are very dedicated to their songs." Makarov said to Laxus.

"Huh, guess that explains why their songs have a meaning behind it." Erza stated.

Levy squealed in joy, loving this son so far. "It sounds so amazing~!"

"And I can see why Lucy was inspired by the Eisenwald and Lullaby incident for the song lyrics though," Loki stated. "If you guys didn't stop it, IT would have been the end of mankind."

"Oh trust me, listening to Lullaby music would be the least thing to worry about. If there was a bard nearby it could counter the demon's melody with their music." Makarov said.

"What makes you think Bard's magic can counter a demon's song master?"

"You underestimate the potential of what Bard music can do. I remember a tale a long time ago that when Lullaby unleashed its melody, a nearby Bard managed to counter the demon's melody by singing a song powerful enough to make Lullaby feel humiliated." Makarov told them.

"... You think Lucy would have been strong enough to do it?" Natsu asked, since she was the only Bard there.

Everyone in the guild shrugged. "No idea."

Lucy played a small solo that was pumping her and her spirits up. She then sang in a smooth elegant voice, like that of an opera singer.

Lucy: In a desert burning, children's faces turning

Into another enemy in war

Icy winds are blowing

Over bodies piling high

There's no place left for more

Oh save me from sharing this hell

Oh save me from my blame

Everyone in the guild was feeling pumped from the solo and the song.

"Interesting, very interesting. Does anyone know what's the meaning behind her lyrics?" Gray asked anyone in the guild.

"I think it has to do with Eisenwald, and what they wanted to do, mostly killing people," Erza suggested.

"Does it really matter?" Natsu asked. "I just want to hear this awesome track~!"

"You should really pay attention to the lyrics, Natsu," Mira stated.

"Hey, it's not my fault! I wasn't into music until now."

Everyone gave him surprised looks at that statement.

Just then, Lucy and her spirits sang together again, horns and stringed instruments now joining into the song.

All: Here it comes, the story, of mankind's final glory

Into the nightfall

The showdown, now has come, this will be the last curtain

Before the night falls

"Final glory… I think I can relate to that when we were facing Eisenward and Lullaby. Who knows what could've happened IF Lullaby was able to sing its demon melody." Erza stated, thinking about it.

"This sounds like a song for a final battle of sorts," Gray agreed. "Not what I'd call our last fight, but it did help Luci with her block I guess."

"Yeah, not much of a challenge honestly," Natsu stated.

Most of the guild gave them a flat look.

"You call beating a Demon of Zeref easy…?" Levy asked, raising an eyebrow in disbelief. "If you hadn't noticed, Natsu, Lullaby would've killed everyone and everything in its hearing range! The only reason you were able to defeat it is because the demon was made out of wood!"

Natsu looked confused. "Is that a big deal…?" This made everyone facepalm.

BAM!

"Ow!"

"Of course it is you f-cking moron! I almost got my ass killed by one of Zeref's demons if my lightning teammates weren't there to save my ass!" Laxus hit Natsu on the head.

"Okay! Okay! I get it!" Natsu shouted, still holding his head.

The melody slowed for a second.

Lucy: We are worshiping the gods

That keep twisting our thoughts

The song then picked back up.

Everyday a new sensation

While a million creatures

See their soil turning to dust

Hrimata eleison

Oh save me from sharing this hell

Oh save me from my blame

"Hell? What does she mean by sharing this hell? She can't mean Fairy tail…. can she?" Gray asked, sounding confused

"You do know what you three alone can do right…?" Makarov asked, holding his anger back, but tick marks on his forehead. "If Lucy wasn't hiding her powers, she'd probably be using it to clean up after you lot, and save Fairy Tail the trouble of all the damn bills…"

"Hey that's not true, master!" Natsu shouted at Makarov.

"Oh really? Then let me ask you this Natsu, how many times have you collateral damage to every single mission you go to?"

"Should that really matter if the villains are not going to care either way?" Natsu asked, confused, making his guildmates look at him in confusion. "They don't give a damn about who they hurt or what they break. As long as the people are safe, isn't that what matters most?"

Everyone in the guild blinked at what Natsu just said.

"Well of course… But that still doesn't matter if you randomly rampage across any mission you're in just simply because you feel like it!"

Natsu just pouted.

Lucy and her spirits started to chant, before they went back to singing together.

All: Here it comes, the story, of mankind's final glory

Into the nightfall

The showdown, now has come, this will be the last curtain

Before the night falls

"You know, it's weird, this almost sounds like what Vikings would sing," Loki stated. "If you take out the Rock and opera that is."

"Which music do you listen to Loki?" Mira asked him.

Loki shrugs. "I'm more for classic and opera, more romantic," he answered. He then shrugs, adding, "But I'm not too picky on music. As long as it's actually good, I don't mind it. And people put effort into making it."

"That's pretty sweet of you Loki, glad you as well don't discriminate against the Bards."

"Eh, I had my fair share of meeting Bards before, most of them come out good while a few are not good enough to get along. Trust me when I say that."

"It's good that Lucy is one of the good ones then," Erza sytated, nodding her head. "I do wonder why she chose to be a Bard though?"

"You can ask her when she gets back, that's if she doesn't kill you first," Loki stated.

"Hey, that's not a nice thing to say!" Erza shouted back.

"Normally I would be scared of you but considering you went around Lucy's personal belongings without permission, she'll have a legit reason to kill you. You're on your own."

A cold sweat was forming on Erza's face, her face in fear.

"Welp, Erza's scared, never thought I'd see the day," Gray stated.

Just then, Cancer and Taurus started chanting, while Lucy, Lyra, Aquarius, and Virgo all sang together.

The Girls: Forever and ever

You hear them crying

Forever and ever

This world is dying

Lyra, Aquarius, and Virgo stopped, and let Lucy finish.

Lucy: We had so much time to understand

Lucy then did an epic guitar solo that was better than her last ones by far, making her look radiant. Just then, her spirits then added their chanting near the end of the solo.

Laxus blinked after seeing Lucy's guitar solo. "Was that better then her last solo, or is it just me?" he asked.

"I'm more interested in the harmony the girls sang in," Levy stated.

"Like I said, Bards are not only into their music but they put their heart and soul into their songs, to justify their emotions behind the lyrics." Makarov stated.

"Might have to ask Lucy for Guitar lessons…" Laxus muttered quietly to himself.

All of them started singed together again, the song near its end.

All: Here it comes, the story, of mankind's final glory

Into the nightfall

The showdown, now has come, this will be the last curtain

Before the night falls

At the last part of the song, Lucy's voice was more predominant than the others.

Lucy: We are rising higher, closer to the fire

(Spirits: We are rising higher, closer to the fire)

Lucy: Let the final dance begin

(Spirits: Let the final dance begin)

As the music finished, Lucy was smiling widely.

The guild was cheering for an awesome performance by Lucy and her Celestial Spirits.

"Amazing!"

"Spectacular, simply spectacular."

"If I hadn't known any better, I'd say Lucy has a talent when it comes with music."

"She's a natural alright."

"Can't argue with you on that."

"Hey guys, there's still more."

Lyra was hooping up and down in joy. "That was amazing~!"

Aquarius huffed and looked away, but had a blush on her face. "I'll admit… I wasn't bad…"

"I was Moo-ved by the performance," Taurus stated, giving Luicy a thumbs up.

"I will admit, it was entertaining." Cancer agreed.

"I deeply enjoyed this, princess," Virgo stated. "Punishment?"

Everyone in the guild sweatdropped.

"Is it just me or is that spirit maid a masochist?" Gray asked, flatly.

"I wouldn't be surprised if she was…" Loki stated, remembering some of Virgo's… habits she picked up from being a maid to many.

Lucy gave her spirit a flat look. "No, Virgo…"

"Well we do need to head back, I have a date with my boyfriend," Aquarius stated in a taunt. "Something you'll never have~"

Lucy's right eye twitched. "You know why and why I want to take things slow…" she stated, not happy.

"Yes, yes, you want it to be real, and not from you 'magic' influencing someone," Aquarius statered, waving her off.

The Guild deadpanned at Aquarius' actions.

"Dad, what did that mermaid spirit meant by that?"

"I'll tell you when your older Romeo. You're too young right now to know about that."

"Still, it's good of Lucy to want to find love the proper way," Cana stated, taking a drink of her ale.

"You don't have to be so mean to Lucy you know," Cancer stated, just getting a huff from the mermaid.

Lucy just sighs, letting go back, then turning off the recorder, with one fine word, "Why can't my life be normal…?" The screen went blank.

"I'll admit, that was amazing to watch," Bisca stated.

"Agreed," Alzack agreed with her.

"I say this again, Lucy does have a talent for Instrumental magic. I'm surprised she didn't become a singer or something, she'd have been a huge success," Mira stated, pondering.

"Who knows sis," Elfman stated, shrugging. "It could be for any reason."

"So what song should we pull out next?" Natsu asked, excited. "I want to hear more from Lucy."

"Aye, sir!" Happy agreed.

"Someone bind them already!" Loki shouted.

"Will you all stop worrying?" Natsu asked, waving off their concerns. "We'll be fine."

"And how do you know that Natsu?" Elfman asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because it's Luci, she'll understand," he answered simply, making every member of the guild anime faceplant.

BAM!

"That's not how it works idiot!" Makarov shouted, his teeth sharp, and his giant fist over Natsu's body.

Erza took a deep breath in, and stood up. "I two still want to hear more of these," she declared.

Everyone in the guild froze. They turned to look at her in bewildered shock. All of them shouting, "WHAT!?" at the top of their lungs.

"You cannot be serious Erza!?" Gray shouted. "I get Natsu, because he's an idiot, but you!?"

"HAVE YOU GONE COMPLETELY MAD WOMAN!? Makarov shouted at the Requip mage.

"I know you like challenge yourself Erza, but this is borderline suicidal," Mira stated.

"Lucy's last song remains as a mystery, I intend to solve what her last song is called."

"The heck do you mean by that?" Elfman asked, looking lost. "Are you talking about 'I'm Still Standing'?"

"Exactly, I want to know the meaning behind the album."

"It probably means to save yourself before things escalate into a massive mess!" Gary shouted.

Erza shook her head. "I know you don't want to do this, but Lucy's our friend, she should be willing to confide in us," she stated. "I believe she has had a rough childhood like a lot of us here." She then walked over to the four cases and opened one of the three closed ones.

"For crying out loud, do any of you have any common sense, any common sense at all!"

"Says the man who srtips all the time," Erza shot back harshly. Gray just lowered his head in shame. She opened the second case and pulled out another Lacrima and put the last two back where they were before in the first case. She looked at the title of the song. "This one's called, 'Slipped Away'."

"Slipped away'? What does that mean?" Happy asked, confused.

"Do you think she might've tripped herself and made a song about it dad?" Romeo asked, pondering.

"I….. don't think so Romeo, we just have to see it as much as it would kill us." Mauco stated, sighing.

Erza nodded, and put in the Lacrima, making the screen pop up again.

A hand was over the recording, until it lifted to show Lucy. "Hey mom…" Lucy greeted, a somber tone in her voice. She looked a year or two younger. "Happy Birthday… I wish I could celebrate with you…"

The whole guild stiffened, hearing the sorrow and sadness in Lucy's voice.

"Ohhhhhh, I uhhhhh… I think we should avoid watching this video." Mira stated, not wanting to watch something THIS personal.

Makarov sighed. "We can't, it might ruin the Lacrima if we pulled it out while it was playing. We need to play it till the end."

The guild groaned at the answer.

"I wanted to write you a song for you… to show how much I miss seeing you…" Lucy stated, sitting up, showing that she was wearing a black dress. She had walked over to the piano, showing it was the music room from before from the first song the guild watched.

"... I don't like the look of this…" Gray stated, feeling uncomfortable.

"Seriously this is too personal for Lucy! Stop the recording, I feel bad for her." Loki stated.

"Aye. I don't want to see any more of Lucy's recording now. I feel bad for her as well." Happy agreed, actually not liking this.

"Like I said, if we take it out while it's playing, we could irreparably damage it, which would be far worse," Makarov stated, not liking this either. "Then she'll really have our heads for it."

"Ah come on!" the guild shouted.

"Nice going Erza. Now Lucy will feel humiliated after seeing her personal life." Bisca shot at her in anger.

Erza was shaking. "I really didn't know it was going to be like this, I swear," she stated, now feeling bad.

The guild all groaned, just going back to watching.

Lucy sat at her piano, ready to play. "I hope you can hear this mom… Wherever you are…" She started playing in a minor tone, making it sound sad. She started to hum with the notes.

Mmm, mmm

Nah-nah, nah-nah-nah, nah-nah

I miss you

Miss you so bad

I don't forget you

Oh, it's so sad

"Even this song sounds so depressing," Mira stated, feeling sad for Lucy.

"I think something happened to her mom when she was younger…" Erza stated, now feeling bad herself.

"All we can do is bear through it…" Loki said, sighing.

Just then one of the eclectic girats started to play along.

I hope you can hear me

I remember it clearly

Just then drums added to the meloy, adding to her feelings.

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same, oh-oh

"I am not liking the implications of where this is going…" Elfman stated, having an idea on what happened to her mother.

"Me neither Elfman." Mira agreed, knowing this feeling all too well.

"God I can literally feel and taste the sympathy from that song," Laxus stated, actually feeling remorse for the girl.

"You sound remorseful," Gray stated, a bit surprised.

"Hey, I might be a jackass, but even I'm not that cruel," he shot back.

The drums softened, letting the guitar be more predominant, Lucy still playing the piano.

Nah-nah, nah-nah-nah, nah-nah

The drums then picked back up again.

I didn't get around to kiss you

Goodbye on the hand

I wish that I could see you again

I know that I can't

Oh-oh-oh, I hope you can hear me

'Cause I remember it clearly

Everyone could feel their hearts dropping.

"I-I'm starting to regret picking this song…" Erza said, feeling terrible

"Gee, you think?" Alzack snarked.

"I truly swear, I had no idea this was the song's meaning," she said, looking down on the ground.

The guild sighed as one, all saying, "We know…"

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same, oh-oh

Lucy stopped playing the piano and summoned the guitar to her, playing it. Her voice echoing in one part of the chores.

I've had my wake up, won't you wake up?

I keep asking why? (I keep asking why)

And I can't take it, it wasn't fake, it

It happened, you passed by

Now you're gone, now you're gone

There you go, there you go

Somewhere I can't bring you back

Now you're gone, now you're gone

There you go, there you go

Somewhere you're not coming back

Tears were falling from Lucy's eyes, she was putting her emotions into her song, to show how much she missed her mother.

Almost all the guild was shedding tears from hearing this performance. They could feel the heartache and sadness she was showing. Everyone remembering friends, family and mentors they lost through the years.

"This melody…. It's just too beautiful." Mira stated, crying in remembrance of someone she loved.

"Yeah… And melancholy to remember someone dear to you…" Loki stated, guilt of his actions coming back to him.

"She knows how to touch the hearts of those she cares for…" Makarov stated, looking at the floor. "This is the true power of a Bard…"

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same, no

The day you slipped away

Was the day I found it won't be the same, oh-oh

Lucy stopped playing and playing the guitar and let the drums just beat.

Nah-nah, nah-nah-nah, nah-nah

I miss you

The song finished, and Lucy took a breath, wiping the tears away. She put the guitar back, and walked back to the recorder. "I love you mom… I hope you're happy wherever you are… Happy Birthday… I miss you…" She then turned off the recorder.

The screen turned off, the video finished finally.

Erza let out a sigh. "Now I feel really REALLY bad going through Lucy's stuff. I need to apologize to her."

"Same…" Gray agreed, wiping the tears away.

"Uh… Natsu hasn't said a thing this whole time…" Happy states.

This made them all look, and see Natsu heartbroken. Something everyone was shocked to see. "... Igneel…" was the only thing he said.

"Not even Natsu could resist her melody." Mira stated.

"I don't think any of us could resist it…" Elfman stated, still looking sad, his gaze at the floor.

"And that's coming from the manliest man there is Elfman."

"You know, I'm starting to think that Lucy isn't the only one who has a sad past."

"All of us here have things we don't want to talk about," Gray stated.

"True." Loki stated, not looking at anyone.

Makavor sighed, but it had to be done. "I think… we should try and find a happier song to help everyone…"

Everyone was shocked at the master's suggestion.

"Master! How could you say such a thing!?"

"We already went through Lucy's stuff and don't you think it's enough?"

"I know what I'm saying is crazy… but I don't like seeing you kids sad," he stated. He then sighs. "I just hope to the gods Lucy understands my decision…"

Gray lets out a sign and stands up. "I'll do it… I'm part of this mess, might as well try and help everyone feel better after that last song…"

"You….. think her next song won't be that depressing?" Erza asked him.

"If it has some type of sad title, then I'm not playing it." he stated, sighing. He went over to one of the other two closed cases. "Here goes…" He opens the third case, pulling out a random one.

(Train Station)

Lucy had got off the train, when it reached her station. She stretched, to get the stiffness out of her body. "Well, here I am," she said, grabbing her things. "Better get ready to perform for the kids." She grabbed her suitcase, and her.. Make-up kit(?)... and headed off to the orphanage. "I'll make their hearts shine like a start~" she said, laughing at her quote.

And that's chapter two of the story.

Dark: Amazing! We're already getting song requests from other readers! Just wow!

I've made a list of the songs given, and songs I picked. And we finished this chapter in less than a week.

Natsu: "Uh… what was with the make-up case Luci had?"

Spoilers.

Dark: (Slaps a spoiler tag on Natsu's mouth) Where's the fun in that if we tell you idiot?

Natsu: (Rips the tag off, and glares at Dark) "Want to try that again funny man!?"

Dark: Oh trust me.(Darkness covers over Dark before transforming into a frightening demon even making Natsu sweat in fear) Lucy's wrath will be the least of your concerns.

(Dope slaps Dark over the head) Stop that!

Dark: Hey! What was that for?!

You being an idiot for Picking a fight with one.

Natsu and Dark: "He's the one who's picking a fight with me!"

Dark: I only slapped the spoiler tag on him so that he won't reveal the next song we plan to write!

Natsu: "Was not! You jumped to conclusions, Dork Lord!"

Dark: You're terrible at keeping secrets and it's not a fact, it's the truth! Ask Happy over here!

Happy: Aye!

How did Happy-!? Nevermind! We're getting off track! Let's just finish this before you two lug heads break everything.

Natsu: "Hey!"

Dark: Fine, but anyway back to the topic here. I'm gonna make this quick, Lucy may come back in a chapter or two depending on if it's a good decision to bring her. While it may be a song story, we need to build up the plot beforehand. And besides, she's taking care of the orphans now. Wouldn't want to interrupt her session with them(By that I meant spending time with them you perverts)

(Rolls his eyes) Anyways… We hope you all enjoyed this chapter, and we hope to hear what song ideas you'd recommend for use to play. We hope to see you next chapter.

Natsu: "See ya~!"

Happy: "Bye~! See you next time~!"

Dark: PEACE OUT!

See you all next time.
