Chapter 6
After the additional meeting of the Night Raid, Najenda dismissed all members and the only one remained is the maid Lupusregina by her side. So she decided to question her a bit.
"So, what do you mean by 'created' earlier?"
"Created, as in created something or someone that does not exist before su~, it is different by being born, everything Ainz sama rules are created by the 41 supreme beings su~."
"The supreme beings, you say 40 left and lord Ainz remained, why did they leave?"
For the first time since they met, Najenda saw pure sadness appear on the maid's face, then she spoke in a melancholic voice.
"Only Ainz sama knows that, but even he is hurt by them leaving, he only said to us is our creators left for a reason, they have no choice and said to us that one of the supreme beings Hero-Hero sama come back to the tomb for a minute and said to Ainz sama that he is very tired but said that not because of us but from something. Even the supreme beings are tired, that we know, so we swear that Ainz sama does not feel this tiredness with us so that he will not abandon us."
"I see, I'm sorry I brought that up Lupusregina."
"Don't worry about that su~, and you may call me Lupus."
"Alright, so we received an assassination mission about this wealthy noble family that loves torturing people that work for them as servants or some people that are homeless in the capital, and we will send their bodies to you after the assassination yes? May I know where those bodies will go? Because I've seen earlier the circle of darkness that you call [Gate] but the demon woman Albedo just tossed them through it."
"They were sent to either the frozen hell or blazing inferno su~,they were tortured there and get experimented on by one of the guardians su~, it is a really fun place you know hahahahaha~"
"I-I see, well I'm glad that these fuckers will see hell soon, but I will not call it a fun place you know. How long are they gonna be tortured there?"
"Well, your loss su~, it really is fun though~, well they will be tortured until they die of old age su~ hahahaha see, really fun right?"
"T-that's a really long time, I assume that they are healed if they are gonna die?"
"Of course! And those noble family will receive the same treatment later hahahahaha, imagine their faces when they meet their fates su~ hahahahaha!"
'Alright, this girl is insane!' thought Najenda, being creeped out by their new companion. But she smiled, she walks to her window and looked at the sky outside.
"This will be interesting, I can't wait, the great Empire will fall soon, and it will be the most brutal in history."
In the capital of the Empire, a young man was smiling from ear to ear with excitement, he is finally here, in the capital to finally save his village. But the warning of the two men from earlier really scared him, what is wrong with the empire? The humans are the true monsters here rather than the danger beasts? This is alien to him because in their village, they are helping each other, not wanting to think of the warning earlier, he started to walk towards his destination, the army barracks.
"Hello there officer, I want to join the army!"
"Oh, so you want to join huh, here is an application form, fill this out and come back here."
"Hey, when i join the army, i will become a foot soldier right?
"Of course, everybody starts from the bottom, so go on, fill that out."
"I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT! HAVE A LOOK AT MY SKILLS! IF I PASS, PUT ME IMMEDIATELY TO CAPTAIN RANK!
"IDIOT! We don't have time for brats like you! And even if you fill out the application, the empire is suffering from recession so brats like you that wants to become a soldier are flooding in! Not everyone are gonna be hired! There's a limit!"
"I-is that so? Then I will fill out the application now."
"No, you already waste everyone's time, look behind you, just get out!"
With a sigh, the young man named Tatsumi got out of the building, took a look around and sat on a chair. He is lost, what is he gonna do now? Should he come back tomorrow?
"Hello there~, You look troubled, young man."
Looking behind he saw the biggest boobs he ever saw in his life that made him blush, and looking up, he saw a beautiful short haired blonde woman, she is really cute.
Leone, noticed that the man was staring at her for too long, cleared her throat and spoke.
"Ahem, lad, you seem like a person that comes to the capital for adventure and for quick money right?"
'How did she know?!'
"Do I look like one? Who are you anyway?"
"My name is Leone young lad, what's yours?"
"The name's Tatsumi Miss Leone, what do you want with me?"
"Well, I just saw you walking out of the barracks with a rejected face~, so maybe I can help you out~? I know someone from the army that can recruit you right away you know."
"Really?! Then let's go!"
"Treat me first with food and alcohol first~, my help is not free."
"Ugh, then let's go to a tavern right away."
An hour later in the tavern, Tatsumi is getting pissed, 'this damned woman is taking her time!' not wanting to wait any longer he speaks up.
"Hey, can you now recommend me with your contact in the army?"
"Oohh~ of course, of course yes~, but that needs money Tatsumi."
"Here, I have money, are you sure that this contact of yours can get me into the army immediately?"
"Of course, trust me on this~, he will come to you later here okay?~, I'm leaving now Tatsumi. You will learn something after this I promise~."
And with that cute farewell, Leone finally left, Tatsumi is now a little excited.
'Finally!, with this, I'm joining the army soon. Just wait for this person Leone recommended to me. Fuck that application form, this is the fast way! Anything for my village. Ieyasu, Sayo, I hope the two of you are doing much better than me.'
And with that, he will wait longer than it should be.
Hours later…
Walking through the capital, Leone is going to a place where she will meet her friends for their mission in the capital when she saw someone, the maid with an eyepatch named Shizu and a person that she never saw before, this girl is as tall as Shizu and has a cute hairstyle that is a twin chignon and is wearing a mask, they glanced and passed at each other but Leone knows that lord Ainz assigned them for spying, based on how they wear clothes that are not gonna stand out in the empire, but she doesn't know where they were going.
"Maybe they are gonna infiltrate the nobles? Shizu is a maid after all, but the other girl I don't know who she was, but she reeks of human blood! Does she eat any civilians here?!"
"Calm down girl, lady Entoma only eats the soldiers of the empire that we captured."
Looking down to her shadow, Leone forgot that there is always a shadow demon guarding them at all times, but not when showering though. They said that they respect privacy because even the supreme beings need their own alone time. But she is bothered because the shadow demons are always looking up and because of that she once mentioned that peeking through her pants is prohibited, but her shadow demon just snorted at her and said that she isn't his type. But knowing that they are not humans, maybe he likes female shadow demons like him as well, and they are becoming close lately and a demon as your guard is cool, at least for her.
"So her name is Entoma huh, then why is she eating humans? What is she? Is eating humans necessary?"
"Well, she is an arachnid, a spider-human type, but she is mostly a spider rather than human, she does not have any human skin or anything that resembles a human, that's why you saw her fully clothed, not exposing any skin. And the supreme beings created her to eat humans anyway, so nothing can be done about it, the supreme being's will is on the top."
"Is she eating innocents as well?"
"No, as far as I know, Ainz sama only said that the humans of the empire that our enemies are only for consumption, besides, Ainz sama is gonna rule this empire in the future, why would he let his future citizens be eaten? That is a foolish thinking girl."
"Y-your right, lord Ainz is gonna rule this empire. I'm sorry, I'm just worried."
"Don't say sorry to me, if you want to apologize, apologize to the supreme beings."
"I see, I will do that."
Finally arrived at her destination, Leone enters a house and immediately greets her friends and fellow assassins.
"You're late Leone, what took you so long?" asked Mine. the user of a teigu called Pumpkin, a type of gun that shoots beams of pure firepower that increases whenever its user is in a difficult situation. She has pink hair with twin pigtails and is wearing a pink dress, and is a self proclaimed 'genius sniper'. She likes shopping and is a sharp tongued member of the Night Raid that will never hesitate to insult you if she finds you annoying. Despite this, she is a kind hearted woman that deeply cares for her friends.
"I met a naive cute guy, he treated me to lunch and alcohol and even gave me money hahahaha, look at this!"
"Tsk. That's just you swindling people of their money, if you continue like this, someone will definitely bite you in the ass."
"I do not care, I will gladly fight them hahahaha!"
"I like what i'm hearing su~!, but i dont know what this swindling means, is that a torture method su~?"
"U-uh i dont know why torture method is the first in your head Lupus san, but swindling is tricking somebody to empty people out of their money," said Sheele.
"Oh, so it's stealing but with extra steps?"
"Yes, hehe"
"Oh hahaha, I get it, you enjoy seeing the faces of these people when they realize that their money's gone , right? Hahaha i like it su~, tell me who this man is so i can hunt him and swindle him more su~ hahahaha!"
"Well, I indeed enjoy it a little bit, but! Let's not 'hunt' him, Lupus. He's broke now anyways."
"Aw, too bad su~."
'Damn, this girl is weird as fuck, and she is a bit sadist too, why would torture comes into your mind first when you first heard swindling?!' Akame,Sheele,Bulat,Leone,Mine and Bullock all thought, they find this girl really weird and find it unpleasant to work with, she is creepy and likes to prank them and when they asks their shadow demon about this, they only said that she is created that way and nothing can be done about it. And when they asks if they can complain about this to lord Ainz, the demons warned them that they would not like it when the demon Albedo and the angel Rubedo gets angry, especially the angel because she holds the title of the strongest entity, when asked what is the meaning for them of being the strongest entity, they answered that she has capabilities to destroy a world. And that revelation freaked out the Night Raid that they shouted at the demons to stop lying, but their response was 'why would we lie? There is no benefit of lying to you, you are allies with Ainz sama so it is our duty to tell you absolute truths.' and they felt too that the demons are not lying so they take that as truth. But knowing that the Empire are gonna fight a being that is capable of destroying a world is satisfying to think about. And they hope that the monster of a human Esdeath and Rubedo clash with each other and they will be there to witness her face when she realizes that she is not the strongest anymore.
"Well, let's go eat dinner and proceed with the mission after."
Traveling through the Empire's capital in the midnight, the Night Raid are jumping from one roof to another to reach their destination the fastest, and that is a noble family that is torturing weak and fragile people, they hate these types of people the most and there are many of these scums in the Empire, that's why revolutionaries exist to get rid of these scums and with their new allies, it will be more easier than ever.
Reaching the noble family's mansion, the Night Raid began their preparation to storm the house as quietly as possible and that is only possible through Lubbock's teigu called Cross Tail, a teigu in a from of gloves that can create threads that can be used for defense and attack, and they are using this teigu to create a string floor that they can step on in the air since the noble family rooms are in the highest floor of the mansion and they plan to enter the windows. Using their shadow demons, they ordered them to kill the guards in the whole mansion and open the windows for them.
"Sheele, go."
"Yes."
Sheele goes through the window and quickly kills the mother of the family. Lupusregina began to pay attention to the abilities of these teigu users, aside from being their temporary maid, she is also tasked by her lord to observe and report the abilities of these teigus, and so far that scissor like weapon is like a relic class item to her, so far nothing special. But seeing the one named Sheele kill humans is really fun to watch, she is becoming to like this group of assassins, but she dislikes them killing the humans so quickly, but she is not here to question their methods.

"Aye!"
Leone quickly jumps through the window and runs to find the father, and she quickly finds him with his daughter running through the corridor, probably escaping the mansion, seeing the many corpses of the guards.
"Aria! Go outside now!"
"B-but what about you?!"
"Don't worry I'll be catching up to you after I stop our killers."
"What a sweet family, even though completely rotten on the inside."
"Aria, go please!"
"Sir! Aria! What's going on?! You?!"
Leone, seeing the other man that shows up or rather Tatsumi, the naive cute guy earlier. She was shocked a bit but regained her composure.
"Oh hello Tatsumi, you can run with your princess, my target here is her father."
"I'm not surprised that the woman who tricked me is a part of Night Raid."
"Yeah, but you will change your mind later, now run."
"Aria! Go!"
"Y-yes father, let's go Tatsumi."
"Tsk! Don't worry sir, I will be back to rescue you!"
"The kid has full trust in your family huh, probably doesn't know what kind of sick bastards you are."
"Leave my daughter out of this!"
"Can't do that, your daughter is the worst of you all."
Leone quickly grabs the father by the neck, lifts him and starts slowly choking him.
"Aarrrgghh, my daughter, have you no mercy?! Let my daughter live please!"
"Mercy?! Hahaha what is that?! And don't worry about your daughter, you will see her soon, even your wife, but not in a pleasant place though, do you want me to tell you a secret?"
"Huh?!"
Leone lowers her arm and whispers through the man's ear.
"You and your family will suffer, you will see them in front of your eyes, screaming that they want to die but death is mercy in that place, the demons told me. Hahahaha!"
And with that, Leone, using her claws, pierced the man's neck and he died quickly.
Outside, Tatsumi along with Aria are running to escape the assassins. 'Shit! They are killing anice and kind family just because they are wealthy?! They are probably the monsters in the empire I keep hearing about, the way they killed those guards!'
"Eliminate."
Hearing a voice, Tatsumi turns and finds a girl that is rushing at them, her eyes are fixed to Aria with her katana ready to kill her, but Tatsumi will not allow that. So she blocked her attack with his sword but the girl is really strong and overpowering him, with all his strength he tried to push the girl back only for her to jump and kick him from behind. Knowing what she's gonna do, Tatsumi rushed to the assassin and slashed his sword downwards to stop the assassin from slicing Aria's head.
"Wait! Dammit! Why are you doing this?! Is it for the money?! You already got my money from Leone! You already have the money of this house! And now you want to kill this innocent girl?! You killed all her family! Let her go!"
"I'm gonna kill you if you keep getting in the way."
"Like I'm gonna let myself be killed by you!"
"Then, eliminate."
"Akame, stop,"
"Why?"
"Well, I owe this man because he treated me earlier, so I'm gonna repay it.~"
"Huh?! What do you mean treated?! You tricked me!"
"Yeah, yeah that's why I'm gonna save you, you said that girl is innocent right? Let me show you something. Akame, restrain the girl, yeah?"
Tatsumi, although confused, follows Leone to where she is going, and minutes later, they arrive at a huge storage house that smelled fresh blood, and Tatsumi is starting to get nervous. But his thoughts were interrupted by the loud kick of Leone on the door. And seeing the insides of it almost made him vomit.
"See this? Tatsumi? This is the doing of the girl you just called innocent, many tortured bodies, all comes from villages and ignorant in the Empire, so they are easily swayed by her words. This is the true nature of the Empire Tatsumi, rotten to the very core."
"S-Sayo?! SAYO!"
Above him, is a girl with her arms and legs missing and a large cut in the abdomen, the one that is the most brave of the three of them, his childhood friend Sayo, hanging with a hook pierced through her flesh like a cattle.
"Sayo! H-hey is this real, this is just a nightmare right?! Please! Sayo! Ieyasu?! Where is he?! Ieyasu?!"
"T-Tatsumi."
Hearing a voice, Tatsumi rushed to where it was, only to find out that Ieyasu is in a cage that is full of filth. Tatsumi was horrified, this cannot be real, his two friends are like this, he is losing his mind.
'This cannot be real right?! This is just a nightmare! My friends are okay!... That bitch! I'm gonna kill her!'
"T-that girl Tatsumi, she makes Sayo suffer! Until her death! Tatsumi, but you know, Sayo is as brave as ever, she always fights back, she doesn't let that bitch see her cry or scream in pain, she only screams when she is insulting her ugly face! Hahahaha!" and Ieyasu coughs so loudly that he pukes blood.
"Ieyasu! You're gonna be okay! Hey you all! Anyone got any medicine or herbs?! Help us please! Leone! Night Raid! I'm begging you all! Help us!"
Seeing him begging for his friends and his state, Akame,Sheele and Leone felt pity to this man, losing your friends is really devastating and seeing your friends in this state, can make anyone insane, they want to help them and they know who the ones can do it, but they didn't get any permission,this is just supposed to be an assassination.
"Heya su~. Why are you all still here, did you kill all the targets? If you do, then let's go, let's not waste time, where are their bodies su~?"
"L-Lupus san, can we wait?"
"Why? All i see here is a tied female, and two filthy humans, ugh they smell bad su~,"
Hearing the insults of someone to them, Tatsumi cannot contain his rage anymore and rushed to the owner of the said voice.
"You bitch! How dare you! Arrrggg!"
But instead of killing or hurting the woman, he just felt intense pain in his stomach, and it appears that the woman kicked him that sent him flying, then crashed through the cage.
"Arrrggg! How dare you! I'm gonna kill you!"
"If I were you, I'm not gonna do that su~. The other human is dying, are you not gonna help him?"
"Um Lupus san, can you help them?"
"Why su~? I am not ordered to help anyone except Night Raid su~."
"I see, hey Tatsumi, wanna join Night Raid?"
"And why would I join you?"
"You see this girl you just attacked? She is the one who can help you."
"Really?! Then I will join! Please let me join the Night Raid!"
"Then welcome to the Night Raid Tatsumi kun~, we will do introductions later, now Lupus san, can you now help him?"
"Really, he just joins just like that? Well whatever su~, then, what do you want human?"
"Human? Why call me that? Aren't you human too?"
"I'm not human su~, but enough with your stupid questions. What do you want with me?"
"Can you really help me? You see, my friend Ieyasu, is dying here and is in a bad condition, please help him Lupus san!"
"I see, then that is easy, [Greater Heal], [Cure Poison]."
Seeing a bright circle of green light appear on the woman's hands, Tatsumi is shocked, but his expression changed to worry about his friend that is now enveloped by the green light, but his worry changed to happiness when the visible wounds, bruises and infections on his friends body are starting to fade away, he did not know that teigus can heal someone, for all his life, he knows that teigus are not capable of healing somebody.
"W-what? Tatsumi? I'm alive?! I thought I was gonna die!"
"Don't worry about that now Ieyasu, you're saved now, thanks to Lupus san."
"A-are you the one who saved me? Thank you so much!"
"Don't thank me su~, you must thank the supreme one, without his orders, I will let you die here."
"I-i see, then, where is the supreme one?"
"I'm sure the supreme one is watching us right now, look to the sky, bow your head and say your thanks."
"I-is it a god?!"
"God?, pfft! Silly, the supreme one is above them su~, now go on."
"Yes! Thank you supreme one! Thank you!"
Seeing his friend that is alive and well, half of his anger and sadness fades away and looks at the woman with gratitude and to the sky to what she called a supreme one, but the other half of his heart did not heal and maybe will not heal forever, looking up, he saw Sayo, with tears in his eyes, he stood up.
"Leone, everyone, my name is Tatsumi, thank you for saving my friend and I will be forever grateful, can you please help me bring down my other friend's body? I want to give her a peaceful burial."
"Are you not asking me to help her too? I can revive her, you know?"
"R-revive her?!" Tatsumi and Ieyasu both shouted, shocked by the woman's words that just came out of her mouth.
"Of course su~. Thanks to the powers granted to me by the supreme beings, I have the power to revive her su~."
"I-is there a teigu, capable of reviving the dead?!"
"I'm not using any teigu su~, I have magic."
"Magic?! Those are just from stories right?!"
"No, this is reality su~, now, you want to revive your friend too? Bring her down here, so we can leave this filthy place, I have a job to do you know~."
With the help of Ieyasu, the two activate a switch that can bring down Sayo's body and present it to the maid, Lupusregina, seeing the dead woman, applaud the one who did this in her mind, clearly a brutal way to go.
"Who did this su~?"
"That bitch right there, that piece of shit!"
Seeing the woman that is tied up staring at Lupusregina, she can't help but smile, all this suffering she caused in this woman will be in vain because the supreme one declares it to give this woman named Sayo another chance at life, and seeing her face with clear despair for what is about to happen brings happiness to Lupus's heart.
"Then let us revive her su~."
Hearing that, Ieyasu, Tatsumi, the Night Raid and even Aria, looked at the woman with anxiety and fear, is she gonna do it? Can she really revive the dead? All of these questions are running through their mind.
"[Resurrection], [Greater Heal]."
Sayo, hearing the multiple voices calling out to her, opened up her eyes and saw Ieyasu and Tatsumi crying. Then she remembers the bitch that is torturing her and how she died.
"What?! I'm alive! Tatsumi, Ieyasu?! What is going on? Or is this just a dream?"
"T-this is real, Sayo! I thought I could never see you again…"
"This is a miracle Sayo, y-you came back to life…"
"I came back to life?!"
"That's right su~, and that is thanks to the supreme beings su~."
"S-supreme beings? W-who are they?"
"You will see Ainz sama soon enough, now, what to do with that girl su~."
Aria, who is crying too, but not in happiness but out of despair and insanity, she just saw the girl she killed just sit down with her limbs present. Something that she never saw before, and the girl who revived her looked at her earlier with sadistic eyes, something that she knows because she has those eyes too when she made people suffer, and now all of them are looking at her with hatred,rage and disgust in their eyes. She can't escape, they tied her in her arms and feet and is on the ground, she is helpless without anyone by her side.
"Let me kill that bitch!" Sayo shouted.
"Sayo, Ieyasu, let us kill this girl together."
"W-wait! You are all okay now right?! Please forgive me! I was pressured by my father and mother, I don't really want to do it!"
"Huh?! What are you talking about bitch, you always said to me that you hate me and my hair, how is that the doing of your parents?!" Sayo answered while picking up a pitch fork, while Ieyasu picked up a pointed long metal rod while Tatsumi was with his sword.
"Please! Forgive me, I can be your slave! Forgive me! I will repent my sins! Let me live! I don't want to die!"
"Don't worry su~, you just have to die now but you will be sent to a fun place later su~."
"What a pathetic bitch. I hope you will suffer for eternity!"
Sayo,Tatsumi, and Ieyasu stabs Aria in the face, Then Sayo cried. Releasing all of her pain. The woman who made them suffer is dead now. Ieyasu and Tatsumi stared at her but noticed something that made them blush and look away.
"All right, I'm okay now, thank you everyone. Hm? Tatsumi, Ieyasu, why are you not looking at me?"
"W-well, because we realized that you're naked this whole time, hehehehe."
"W-what?! Kyaaaa! Idiots! Bring me clothes! "
Minutes later, all of them are ready to leave, with Tatsumi,Ieyasu and Sayo joining the Night Raid. and Lupusregina is the only one that is staying because she is to deliver the bodies to Nazarick.
"Mission complete! Let's go, everyone!"
"Yes!"
In the great tomb, the supreme leader is finally done watching the events that happen in the mansion with Rubedo,Albedo and Demiurge by his side, Ainz breaks the silence and asks Demiurge a question.
"Demiurge, the reports from Shizu, Entoma from the military and Sebas and Solution from the nobilities arrived right?"
"Yes, Ainz sama, but the nobilities from this empire are all against each other, waiting for the opportunity to kill their enemies and further strengthen their influence, the only valuable reports are from Entoma and Shizu and that is the army lead by this General Esdeath are marching to the north to weaken their military might and if what they say to this Esdeath is true, she is a sadist and will kill not just the soldiers, but the civilians too."
"I see, then proceed with the plan, we will let them invade the north and kill their soldiers but we will not let all the civilians die. We plan to create a new kingdom there and drive away these empire soldiers, and when the empire falls, we will absorb it and make it one of the cities of our kingdom."
"Ainz sama, may I have a suggestion?"
"Of course Demiurge, what is it?"
"Thank you Ainz sama, instead of driving these soldiers away, what if we kill all the soldiers? After all we need more humans because we just discovered that the skins of humans that are infused by the danger beasts blood can handle scrolls of third tier, and maybe capture this Esdeath too, with her being a teigu user and she has a title of the strongest in the Empire, we can make more experiments with her."
"Pfft! fufufufu~ strongest?, let me fight her Ainz sama."
"Yes,yes, then, let's change this part of the plan, but we will not capture Esdeath now. We want her to recognize us and spread our name and our kingdom, and with her influence, it will be easy, we will just kill all her soldiers in front of her. And Rubedo, I want to see your strength ,so I will allow you to fight her."
"Yes Ainz sama~!"
"Albedo, prepare an army of 1000 consisting of old guarders,elder guarders and master guarders. And ask Shalltear to prepare for a gate and arm herself because she, together with Rubedo and Demiurge will come with me to meet the Empire's army. I apologize Albedo but you will remain here to take care of Nazarick while I'm away."
"Don't worry about that Ainz sama, I will manage Nazarick in your great name!~"
Ainz stands up and with intense burning eyes, he is looking forward to this upcoming event and hopes that it will achieve great results.
"Let's go."
