With a test of resolve over, Junior is now ready to truly help Josuke in the world of Stands with his own Stand, Quartz Baron. And it can start with an unknown task Chris has for him.
Aztec 13: I love your dedication to my stories, I also feel bad for Martin, but he had it coming.
We now see Chris walking in front of the reunion picnic, with a wine glass in hand, and snaps his fingers multiple times to grab the attention of the ex-contestants.
"Attention! Attention!" Chris calls out.
Everyone in the reunion then turns to Chris as they await for what he has to say.
"As you all know, almost a year ago, the Acceleration has taken 13,000 lives in Canada, and countless more everywhere else." Chris says. "I know this is weird to hear from someone like me, but a day that will be marked in history for all of time, and you all are alive to tell the tale. Frankly, I'm proud of it."
"Hey, Dawn, can you use whatever psychic shit you have and see if he's being sarcastic?" Scott asked.
"Hmm, his mind is on another matter different from this reunion, but I can sense sincerity in his words." Dawn says. "But something is off…"
"What do you mean?" Brick asked.
"I sense his aura has a lot more flair than before. I can make out what had happened since his aura's color is more or less the same." Dawn says.
"Really? Is that new to you?" Scott asked.
"Not really new, I also noticed the same thing from the people in this reunion." Dawn states.
"Now, you guys may have heard news that Total Drama will be up for a new season in just a couple of months." Chris says.
"What? No, you can't bring us back there again, McLean." Duncan says.
"But, this will be a surprise to most of you." Chris says.
"Go on…" Gwen says.
"The new season will have a brand new batch of contestants!" Chris says.
This was surprising to the party. They thought they had come to the party only to get another chance at competing in the show, but this has some intrigued.
"Well since we aren't going to be competing, who will?" Owen asked.
"That's where a few of you come in." Chris says. "After a while, an unspecified number of you guys will come with me to a studio building and review the thousand video audition tapes." Chris says.
"So we can choose who gets into the new season?" Heather asked.
"Maybe, maybe not. If the selected participants get overwhelmed by the audition tapes, they can just help out with the others reviewing them." Chris says. "Simple as that."
"You hear that guys? Some of us can choose the newcomers!" Geoff yells out.
"Alright! Maybe we can leave out the people who look like jackasses. We can't have another Scarlet Fever repeat." Dave sarcastically says.
"I heard that. And frankly, I think a whole million dollars was worth the shot." Scarlet says as we see her in an outfit like someone detained in an asylum. She was also tied to a chair, funnily enough.
"Now, with that out of the way, who's up for some sandwiches? I got some-" Chris was then interrupted by something.
A weak light beam kept hitting Chris' face, even hitting his eye as if someone wanted to grab his attention. He looks where the light was coming from and spots Junior a couple yards from where the picnic was held. He was seen behind a tree, using a crystal in his hand to redirect the sunlight to grab Chris' attention. He was annoyed a bit, but tried to shrug it off.
"You know what? I have something to attend to. Just keep moving the picnic along." Chris says.
After giving out that small announcement, Chris left the picnic area and walked to where Junior was waiting.
"Dude, do you know how annoying it is to get light shined into my eyes? Do you know how much of a hassle it is to find prescription glasses?" Chris asked.
"Look, I'm sorry but I didn't want to be a party crasher. I know I'm kind of a celebrity but I can't compare to half the people sitting in those chairs." Junior says.
"Oh, come on, kid. You think about that to the contestants but not think of me enough to shine sunlight into my face?" Chris asked.
"Well to be honest, you were arrested for polluting Wawanakwa with literal toxic waste." Junior says.
"Can you not bring that up please, I've been dreading it ever since." Chris says.
"Noted." Junior says.
After that, the two turn to see Josuke arriving in the area. He had just finished dealing with Martin and decided to come to Oriole Park as well.
"So, Chris McLean. The kid told me why he's here with you. Is it something about what we discussed yesterday?" Josuke asked.
"Well yes. I'm hosting a reunion with my ex-contestants, and I figured this will be the first place to start." Chris says.
"So, what do you want me to do?" Junior asked.
"Well here's what you'll do. You're gonna walk around the reunion with your Quartz Baron out and try to spot anyone who takes notice of it." Chris says. "List down everyone who does into a notepad and once you're done, give me the notepad and I'll call them out."
"Huh, really? That's it?" Junior questioned it. "Wouldn't some of them recognise me?"
"You have a sweater, you can put on a hood and they'd be none the wiser." Chris says.
"I feel like I should come with him. My Crazy Diamond also has precise eyesight and can be able to weed out the Stand users." Josuke says.
"Um… okay then, the more the merrier I guess." Chris says. "Now, once the job is done, I'll bring the guys in a secluded part of the woods, I'll meet you there. North of Evergreen Brick Works.
"Oh, I know that place. I was once there in a school trip." Junior says.
"Good. Now come on. They can't be noticed just by sitting around." Chris says.
"Alright." Josuke says.
The three split up as Junior and Josuke move to fulfill their duties, with notepads at hand, followed by their Stands as they use them to draw out the attention of potential Stand Users as Chris returns to the reunion, waiting for the task at hand to be finished.
4 Hours Later…
We now see Chris moving back into position for another announcement. Junior and Josuke had finished the job 2 hours ago and have left for another woodland area of the city north of Evergreen Wood Works. With a notepad in hand, Chris knows exactly what he has to do. He snaps his fingers, once again grabbing the attention of the other contestants.
"Attention! I have another announcement to make!" Chris says.
Everyone turns to Chris as he begins another announcement.
"After a bit of discussion, the network has now decided who shall come with me to review audition tapes." Chris says. "If you hear your name, move to the front of the crowd."
"Well, this will be fun." Chef commented.
"Now, the first one on the list is Cody." Chris says as he calls out the name of the first person.
"Me? Wow. I guess that's fine." Cody says as he stands up from his chair.
"Good luck Cody-kins!" Sierra says.
"Now the second person on the list is…" Chris says. "...Lindsay!"
"Eeeee! I can choose who can be in the new Total Drama season!" Lindsay squealed in joy.
"Good job, Linds!" Tyler yells. "Let's see if I can go too!"
"Me too!" Beth states.
"Quiet down. Quiet down." Chris says. "The next one on the list is Jo."
"Ah. Time for a sensible mind to come into play here." Jo says as she stands up. "Let me handle the votes. Make the new season a bit more interesting."
"Alright then. Next up is Zoey." Chris announces the next person.
"Wow. Alright then." Zoey said as she stood up.
"See you later, Zo!" Mike says.
"See you too." Cameron says.
"Thanks guys." Zoey says.
"And last on the list is…" Chris was then confused by who filled up the last spot. "...LEONARD?!"
"LEONARD?!" Everyone perked up at this statement, then turned to the young LARPer.
"Huzzah! I have been chosen in a quest to provide the most qualified younglings for entertainment in Canada!" Leonard stood up flamboyantly. "I shall humbly accept such a task!"
"Ugh… man. You know what? Whatever." Chris groans hearing this. "Now, those who were called, follow me into the bus. It's time for a bit of a trip."
