JPOV:
Driving home felt like a sin, the girl I've been thinking about for an entire year, was drunk at a party and I left her. Although it was to drive my friends home, I suppose that is somewhat of a good deed.
Looking into my rearview mirror, I see Emmett and Rose asleep, their heads resting on one another, and Alice sitting near to me typing into her phone quickly and quietly.
"Alice, who are you texting this late at night? New boyfriend we should know about?"I ask, half joking.
"His name is Edward, and I will not answer anymore of your questions" She replied, turning her body away from me, with a slight smile.
"So Alice has a crush? Aw, that is so cute" I teased.
As I pulled into our apartment complex, it hit me that I needed to plan a date, a date in an area I wasn't familiar with.
Helping a sleeping Emmet out of the car, I ran through possible options in my head.
Bowling? No.
Movies? No
Dinner? Too basic
Damn, I was going to need help.
Laying in my bed that night, I started to google date in New Mexico, and scrolled until I found the perfect place and drifted off to sleep, finally content.
9:31AM - my phone read, I had definitely not had enough sleep but I was more excited than tired. Picking up my phone to text Bella, grateful I had remembered to get her number last night, I struggled to think of the right words when my phone started vibrating in my hands, Bella was calling.
"Morning darlin' I answered, my morning voice croaking through.
'Hi, sorry to call but are we still on for today?" she asked, her voice answered,
"We definitely are, and you can call me anytime Bella. I can pick you up at 2 if that works? Dress casual" I replied, my heart skipping a beat hearing her voice, still not believing this was real.
"2 is good, I'll text you my address soon. Don't oversleep this time" she teased, causing me to laugh. Telling her I'll see her later, I hung up the phone.
Walking into the kitchen, I saw Alice cooking eggs and Emmett eating the biggest bowl of cereal I've ever seen.
"Morning" I said, walking to the pot of coffee that was calling my name.
"What are you doing on your date Jasper? What are you wearing? Have you told her what to wear? That is very important Jasper! You don't want to plan a hike date and she's dressed for going to the movies" Alice said, talking faster than any human should talk in the morning.
"Picnic, Jeans and yes I have told her to dress casually. This isn't my first ever date Alice, have some faith in me" I replied, putting a slice of toast in the toaster.
"What we really should be taking about is Edward" I teased.
"Who's Edward?" Emmet chimed in, joining the conversation. Alice went a deep shade of red.
"Alice's new boyfriend" I replied.
"He's not my boyfriend Jasper, I only met him last night!" she yelled.
"Whoa, who did you meet last night Alice?" Rose walked into the kitchen, pulling up a chair next to Emmett, stealing a spoonful of cereal from Emmetts bowl.
"Isn't this my mixing bowl?" she asked Emmett pointedly.
"What's yours is mine babe" He replied, kissing the side of her head.
"Anyway, back to this guy Alice met," Rose said, looking at Alice expectantly.
"His name is Edward, he's Alice's new boyfriend" Emmett grinned.
"He's not my boyfriend, you guys are so mean to me. No one is teasing Jasper and he's going on a date today!" Alice said, frowning at us
"Come on Al, we're just teasing. We're happy you've met someone." Emmett said
"And you guys did tease me, for a whole year. I'm just happy to have the heat off me. And if this Edward guy is making you happy, then we're happy for you" I said, buttering my toast.
The rest of the morning went uneventfully, some more light unpacking while the girls left to look at furniture, we agreed to let them pick everything out. They had better taste than Emmett and I. If it was up to us, we'd have a couch, bed and TV.
I jumped into the shower, my mind running to Bella. Her lips, the way her body molded to mine, her long brown hair that I wanted to touch, and pull.
I really couldn't wait for this date.
