Japan Town:Jig-Jig Street.
I arrived at the location where Lucy told me to meet her. Dorio was with her which was great to know we weren't alone.
"No time to fuck around I'm still able to track him let's get a move on." Dorio shouts.
Next thing I know I'm following behind them in my car as we speed along the highway.
Outgoing Call-
Ryan: Anyone feel like telling me what the shit happened?
Dorio: Botched Gig, now this freak name JK has David.
Ryan: King of XBD's JK?
Lucy: No time to get excited and fanboy. Focus.
Ryan: You mistaken me. People like him should be locked away.
Dorio: Where almost to the destination, get ready for anything.
JK Factories:
We all parked and I ready my weapons, I wasn't to sure on what we'd be walking in on, but if this man got the best of the crew, well than I can't take him lightly.
JK; Jimmy Kurosaki he a renowned Braindance editor known for scrolling high quality BDs, specially of recent events, it granished him extreme fame and exceeding wealth. I don't know the direct details of the Gig that the crew pulled, but it seems he's on our radar. Strange not even wealth and popularity can save you.
Lucy in under a short period of time went from upset and worried to furious. She had the eyes of lionesses stalking her prey, Dorio by stature alone is menacing, she a female Maine, it's no wonder why she's his Output.
I held my pistol that has smart link connectivity, if things get dicy, Mottly can take the wheel. Can't risk using a semi, might end up hitting David.
"We doing this or what?" I turn to the ladies loading my ammo.
"Be quick but also be careful." Dorio says cautiously.
"I'm gonna skin him I alive he's done anything to David!" Lucy snarls as she takes the leads.
The place is vast but Lucy is hot on the trail, I just follow as the women seem to have something against JK, beside the blatant napping of David.
"Nooo Stoop!" A rapturous screaming echo's from behind the door. Bingo! Lucy hits a switch, Dorio kicks in the door.
Guns at the ready. JK golden chrome face explodes in confusion. We all take aim.
"Not an inch!" She shouts with a warning.
JK being reaching for his belt when-
Bang Bang Bang...
"Hands up, or you die!" Lucy screams.
"You got me." JK says with his hands raised up.
My Synaptic Accelerator activates and I zip in-between them to reach David who's strapped up to a BD chair, as he jerks and contorts to whatever mental torture he's forced to consume. Helplessly foaming at the mouth.
"Undo it now!" I shout, my gun pointing at JK. "Your safe now buddy." I say as Lucy makes her way over and we swap places but my trigger finger still at the ready.
Dorio begins combing through files iny the massive monitor as Lucy is keeping an ever vigilant eye on David. I have the pleasure of watching that blue hair sicko. I want an excuse to put a couple of holes in him.
"How is he?" Dorio asks.
"In A BD, I think." She says joining Dorio at the computer.
"Can you get him out?" Dorio ponders while the type feverishly on the keyboards.
"Need a hand?" JK asks mockingly.
"Can it!" Dorio shouts. And I reel back my fist, striking him across his mouth.
"How repugnant." JK says wiping away a bit of blood. All he could do is bark like a dog. With Dorio gun kissing his dome, and mine his face. Not much he could do.
"Done." Lucy alerts us and David is free from the hold. He sits up when the BD wreath short circuits. "David you okay?" She asks running over to him.
"Yeah.." He replies between coughs.
"Glad to have you back man." I say to him.
"Ah what a shame. So how might I assist you fine people? Not here to kill, I am still alive." He replies looking up at Dorio.
"It's not off the table." She retorts.
"Just shut your trap!" I interject.
"Come now, I wish to cooperate."
"Yeah you catch on quick."
Suddenly my ears are triggered by the sound of whirling. Everyone starts to look around for the source.
"Hmhph." JK chuckles.
"It better not be. Armed Drones!" Dorio cries out.
"Bingo." JK says with a smirk.
Two drones began to descend upon us, I step in front of David to guard him as he was still recovering.
"Call them off..." Dorio demand lifting him up by his hair one hand with a gun to his skull. I ready myself for anything.
"I'm afraid I can't, just enjoy the show. Custom spec, fully bullet proof, my own pride and luck making a dent with your puny one-shots." JK says with happiness dripping out his mouth, yet very much laced with venom.
"That's all I need to pull your fucking head off!"
"Well aren't we the smartest thing, wouldn't stop them from turning you into a blood stain on my floor." JK mocks.
"You better fucking pray they don't go open session as I'm using you as my meat shield." Dorio replies. Firing a shot. Lucy began quick hacking. Everything I do is to no avail as the round up circling us by both sides.
"It always smart to have a spare."
"Goddamn-it." Dorio cursed in frustration.
"Ah seems your surrounded, wanna throw in the towel?"
"Mouth stays shut. Lucy?"
"Working on it!"
"Enough of this, Lucy I'll keep them off your ass." I say firing a series of rounds at the Drones, hoping to inflict as much damage as I try keeping attention on me as I could. But no dice I didn't even scratch the paint.
"Need more time..."
Bang! Bang! Bang! Something yellow zip passed my vision. Bang! Bang! Bang!
"David!?" Both Lucy and I called out nearly at the same time.
"Do your thing, we'll keep them busy." He replies firing more and more rounds as I link up beside him firing and spending multiple rounds of ammunition.
"Glad to have you back man." I say with a smile all the while doing virtually nothing to the Drones. Who then in turn began returning fire, David Sandy went to work and he broke forward on distance the minute I was able to get a eye on him.
The Accelerator fired off and I barely miss getting shredded. My reaction time is league's behinds David's as I have to wait for the cool down to take effect.
"Lucy come on!" Dorio cries out.
David is running laps around them, I'm still not able to fire her up once more. If not for David and his Sandy I would of been nothing more but a stain on the floor.
"Your good to go." Mottly informs me as he able to interact with the cybernetics. I zip out of their current line of sight and step out of David's way. This time unpacking a barrage of bullet's during the emersion of slowed down time. "I'm taking over aim, you just keep up on our toes." Mottly fumes with exhaustion of me missing or not doing any damage.
I manage to gage the seconds attention away from the girl's. I was still waiting on the cool down when during his extended time delay of the Sandy, David trips and stumbles sliding across the factory floor, gun slip far from reach. The first Drone has him dead to rites.
"Shit!" I yell and my body moves autonomously the Accelerator back to activate status, I break from David at fast speed, but it's not enough I nearly reach the backside of the Drone, when it began to buzz and whirl before short circuiting and plummeting to the floor into dozen of pieces.
"Uhu mighty impressive show." JK says.
"Cock sucking..." I start
"Mother-" Lucy continues.
"Fucker!" Dorio finish stomping her massive foot on his head, pinning him down.
"Okay, okay surrender for real this time, white flag." JK voice hovers all chipper and sardonic.
"White flag my ass, prepare to breathe your last little shit stain!" Dorio shouts.
"Really, but I thought you had some questions for me?"
"Goddamn-it!" Dorio sighs.
"Fuck me..." I grunt out of breath, I can see David wiping his nose bleed.
"Hey Runner girl, it take real talent to quick hack, so I'm quickly." He mocks praise Lucy. "I think I'm ready to hear you out, but I prefer both ears."
"Anymore tricks like that and I'll kill you myself." Lucy threatens JK.
"Of course pinky promise."
"Guy's I think I'm going to be sic-" I say vomiting blood and bile, all adrenaline and endorphins fading from the battle.
"Ryan, shit... Hang on." I can hear Dorio say as my vision is obstructed and blurry.
"Tsk tsk tsk. Someone still wet behind the ears when it comes to cyber-ware." I can hear JK tease me.
There suddenly a pinching sensation on my shoulder, my vision clears up and Lucy is pulling free an HypoStim.
"This should help." She says softly still refusing to give me direct eye contact. Before she can step away I clasp her wrist.
"Still can't look me in the eyes?" I ask.
"It's nothing, just..."
"I'm your teammate. Willing, one day hopefully your friend. I need to to know you can count on me." I say releasing her.
"Let it go Choom, Lucy always been like that, nothing we can do but accept it." Dorio replies dragging JK along by the scruff of his hair. We all pile out of the factory and head for our hideout.
I take the driver's seat and David got in the passenger side. The girls had JK to escort. I follow behind them.
"I'm starting to believe in the never meet your icon's thing." David says aloofly as we travel behind them.
"Nah, a flush SOB pushing XBD out into public, doesn't surprise me at all he's a sick twisted bastard."
"Forced to experience a XBD on repeat, if it hadn't been for you guy's. Well shit, JK would of eventually gotten what he wanted?"
"What did he want?" I turn to him.
"Turn me into a enraged Cyber-Psycho." David relies grimly.
I shutter at the thought of it. As I continue to drive forward along the flow of traffic trying to keep up, but not as much to upset my stomach. It was still cramping up from when I blew chunks of blood up. Tonight has been a very long one for me, jumping from a Gig to a rescue mission. I'm nearly to the point of passing out.
"Shit I'd kill for some coffee."
"I just wanna lay down myself." David adds.
"Say, if you'd ask me I still think he got off a bit too easy, but you won't hear me complaining to Dorio." I snidely chuckle out turning into it parking area for our hideout.
Once inside I collapse on the couch while the other circle JK, as Maine forces him into a seat, before leaving him under David supervision.
Maine breaks away and fills me in on the plan.
"Where we're you after I left you with Faraday!" Maine demands to know.
"I believe I was being tested by him. Sent me to handle a problem, a problem by the name of Mikal Donovan, (SFO) of Petrochem."
"You should of told me, given me a head's up over the Holo. Cause there I was utterly shocked when a hugh influx of Eddie's hit my account."
"Sorry Maine. I just wanted to get us a pay day and stretch my new toys out. Your right my disregard of you got us in this mess."
"No sense kicking your own ass kid, although having you on board from the start would of been great, we're still on schedule."
"Right, leave that to you." I laugh.
Maine kindly tore me a new ass, but I understood the frustration. I sat up readying to move out and carry out the latter half of the plan, time to get Tanaka. Suit has a cushy position in Arasaka.
"Everyone knows their parts, Dorio, David and Myself will see the trade-off with JK and Tanaka. Ryan you'll be back up for Kiwi and Lucy who's running interference with coms.
Lucy quickly got to work jamming the airwaves, as we parked nearby where the tradeoff was going down. Kiwi keep her eyes out I stood outside the car with semi automatic at the go to fire at anyone trying to interrupt, but I always kept it a low-profile not drawing attention to myself.
Ryan: Ugh how much longer it's cold out here.
Kiwi: No one forced you out of the car.
Ryan: Well better out than in if it comes to a shootout.
I was dozing in and out of the conversation.
Kiwi: Get in now!
Ryan: What's wrong?
Lucy: Uh guy's, Trauma Team incoming.
Maine: Say what? This bitch has Trauma coverage!?
Lucy: Yup, Platinum and everything.
JK flatlined I don't have any specifics, but I'm relieved the sicko breathed his last, here's hoping it was painful. As I took the wheel and drove off as the Trauma AV began to land in the distance, I made it for a b-line back to the hideout. Hopefully Maine and the rest made it out okay...
A/N: So finally an action packed chapter that ties into the main story. If people are wondering how this works. Just picture the little montage David goes through when he's finally accepted by the group. Just after Pilar death and before the start of episode five. Is when they come across Ryan. And the time in between till now leading up to episode five.
Just to have timelines be accurate. Hopefully it was a good chapter and some of you raised questions that will be answered in later chapters. Also congrats to me for the longest chapter by date.
