A/N I know this update took forever and it's messy, I typed it up as I cuddled on the couch with my kids. But I hope you enjoy and (hopefully) it won't take me that long to update again. But life is busy.
The meeting with Amy was everything it should have been, kinda like I had the sister I always wanted but never had. We actually have a lot of things in common. We both loved shopping, movies, and shared a love for the chronicles of Narnia book series. Which yes, we both laid in her bed and binge watched all the movies.
Today was Sunday, I would be leaving in a few hours. For some reason the all test results still weren't in, so they had not been told that Amy now has a donor. If I was her match.
One thing about all of this, I've slowly became pretty good at keeping secrets. I don't think that's exactly a good thing. But it was for a good cause, or that's what I kept telling myself.
Stop, Mitch, you're not exactly lying to anyone. Just withholding some information. I mentally scolded myself, throwing clothes into my suitcase, not even concerning myself with folding them or trying to be neat about it.
I was excited about going home, mom had really been missing dad, but I was also sad about leaving Shane.
Grabbing the zipper, I yanked it close, a satisfied smile on my face. Packing was
Officially done!
"Mitchie, Shane's here!" My grandmothers voiced call.
'Wonder why he's here?' I pondered, walking out of my room. We had already said goodbye the night before so we didn't have to deal with fans and paparazzi at the air port. Our relationship was public, but I didn't want to flaunt Shane.
Entering the living room, a slight smile lit my face up as Shane walked over to me wrapping me up in his arms. "Not that I mind the surprise, but why are you here?" I asked, relaxing into his embrace.
Laughter rumbled from his chest, "I wasn't going to let you leave without seeing you one last time, silly."
"But that was the plan," i reminded him, as I pulled back from his embrace and led him over to the couch. Nodding his head in agreement, he plopped down on the couch beside of me.
"A bad plan. I don't know when I'll see you the next time." Oh, right. I snuggled into his side.
"Mitchie, are you done packing?" My mother's panicked face came into view from the hallway. "We can't mood our flight!" She rambled on.
Holding back the laughter, I nodded my head. "Yeah, all that's left to do is put my luggage in the car."
With that she turned around, hurrying down the hallway, but not before giving a quick, "hey Shane."
Shane bent down, his lips near my ear as silent laughter shook his form, "is she always this scatter brained?" He whispered, making sure I would be the only one to hear. Smiling, I simply nodded my head.
Reaching for my phone I fumbled with a few buttons, and within seconds cords filled the air as Shane's voice softly filled the room. I stood, pulling Shane up, and slowly we started dancing as Shane quietly sung to me as he twirled me around the small living room.
A honk pulled us out of the bubble we created, as the taxi arrived that was taking my mom and I to the airport. Smiling sadly, Shane broke our embrace saying that he would go grab my bags for me.
So I walked into the kitchen to say my goodbyes.
"We'll mood you, be safe." Nana cried, as she hugged me tightly to her, "and you found a keeper." She added, smiling at me.
I just smiled, knowing she was right, then with quick "I love you" and "be safe" we headed out the door.
Shane grabbed my hand, silently leading me to the waiting car, like a gentleman he opened the door to the waiting taxi, with a soft kiss on my cheek, he bid me a fair well and we were off back home to Tennessee.
