ATM: Seth and the God Girls – The Good Housekeeper
After the havoc caused by her brother Shane, Stephanie tries to rebuild the McMahon family name, but the DX family are weary of her intentions and Seth and the God Girls wonder who in the wrestling world they can really trust as they prepare to go to war with Bray Wyatt.
Chapter Ten – The Darkside of the Boss
BayRock beach house, Malibu, Los Angeles, California
Sasha Banks looked at her cell phone in horror as message after message entered her Instafeed telling her that her husband Seth Rollins was a body shaming jerk. It had gotten onto social media that years ago, back in NXT, Seth Rollins had made both Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt feel bad for not being able to lose weight as management required all wrestlers to be a certain size back then. Now it was being said that Seth Rollins had caused both Alexa Bliss' bulimia and Bray Wyatt's depression, the later of which of course, Bray Wyatt wanted the fans to believe. While the WWE Universe knew that Alexa's eating disorder existed way before she became a professional wrestler, they weren't so sure that Seth wasn't the reason why Bray Wyatt got really bummed out about his career in the company back then. The fact that Seth's "body-shaming" could have been the genesis behind Bray Wyatt's creative explosion was too good for the dirt sheets to resist and now the WWE was being called out for not having more body positivity wrestlers at the top of the roster. It was a PR nightmare for a company with such a young and impressionable audience but it was also exactly what Seth and the God Girls wanted, as Sasha Banks would soon find out.
"Babe, are you seeing all of this?! How did the media get a-hold of Alexa's fat diary? The fans think your monster!" Sasha said to Seth from her deck chair outside the BayRock beach house.
"I miss you," Seth said heavily and Bianca Belair slapped him around the head from the car as they headed to the Sandbox. "I mean, don't worry babe we got this all under control,"
"But these pages are full of hateful words, the fans will never forgive you for this. Body-shaming one person is one thing but two people that the fans love, Seth this could not have come at a worse time for you," Sasha fretted and Seth sighed with adoration.
"Don't worry baby we got this, the God Girls and I wanted this to happen. All will be revealed and don't worry about the fans, they'll come around, they always do," Seth reassured her.
"Okay well you sound pretty sure, do DX know what you and the dork-ettes are planning?" Sasha said disparaging the God Girls.
"Hey if the God Girls are dork-ettes, which they are so not, does that make me a dork?" Seth said playfully.
"You're not a dork, at least, not anymore, not since you married me but if you keep hanging around with those losers you might lose all your swag baby," Sasha said. "Why don't you catch a flight to LA and come and see how hot LA really is now that the Boss is in town?"
Sasha leaned into her phone as if she were leaning into Seth's arms and Bianca Belair had no choice but to take over the conversation as Seth's mood went from serious to sauntering within seconds of talking to his heavily pregnant and hormonal wife.
"Ah-hum," she said clearing her throat to get Sasha's attention which certainly took the Boss right out of the amorous mood she was just in thinking about her husband. "Need I remind you why you're in LA right now Mrs Rollins? Your shady a** is trying to corrupt Seth's mind and the last thing he needs to be doing right now is talking to you while you're in this nasty state of mind,"
"Oh give me a break Bianca," Sasha said before Bianca hung up on her leaving the Boss enraged.
Bayley and the Rock came out to meet her hoping she was chilling as the sun started to come out in full blast over the horizon but now the Boss was hot for a totally different reason.
"What's wrong Bossy?" Bayley asked her wondering what had happened to change her mood so suddenly.
"Its those damn God Girls, I've had it with them constantly interfering in my marriage, in my life. We have got to get rid of them!" Sasha declared and Bayley trembled.
"Boss, aren't you forgetting something?" she said anxiously. "I'm a God Girl now, you can't expect me to take up arms against them, it would be like shooting myself,"
"Oh please," Sasha said and Rocky shook his head and Bayley looked at both of them wondering what was up.
"What, its true I am a God Girl," Bayley argued but Sasha and Rocky continued to dismiss her claim.
"Face it sweetheart, you are never going to be part of that group. The only reason Seth let you in was to distract you from working with Stephanie McMahon. Now that Steph's under conservatorship to her daughter Beth, she's no longer a threat and you might as-well be Mickey Mouse," Rocky said and Bayley furrowed her brow in confusion.
"What is that supposed to mean?" she asked her husband.
"It means no-one takes you seriously Bayley. They don't care about you and they aren't taking your application to be a full-time God Girl seriously, if they were, do you really think they'd leave you out of all the cool and sexy stuff that they're doing with Bray Wyatt and my Dad in Connecticut and New York? They've got you out her babysitting me, doesn't that tell you just how little of you they think? Trust me Bayley, you will never, ever be a fully pledged God Girl. They don't trust you just like they don't trust me and I'm Seth's freakin' wife!" Sasha said.
"Or me," Rocky added as Sasha took her iced tea from Bayley before she dropped it from the shock she was now in.
"Face it Bayls, you don't belong in that stupid group but I care about you and I am going to take my husband back, once and for all and you're going to help me do it," Sasha said and Bayley shook her head defiantly.
"No you're wrong, this is just a test. This is exactly what Anointed Amy and Queen Melina said would happen. They said they needed to know whether I was trustworthy and now here you are, trying to get me to do the one thing I promised them I would never do and that's betray Seth and the God Girls," Bayley said and Sasha brushed Bayley's cheek pitifully.
"Of course ATM told you that, they're real women of God, not like those God Girl losers. They knew what I always knew, which is, your loyalty has and always will be to me, not Seth and if I need you, my needs will always come first. Face it girl, you're bad to the bone, just like me. Its time to embrace who you really are," Sasha said and Bayley slapped her hand away.
"No I am a God Girl, I will never betray them ever!" Bayley declared and Sasha gave her a trying look.
"Bayley, are you saying you care more about Seth and the God Girls, than you do me?" Sasha asked and Bayley suddenly felt her skin starting to crawl.
"Something's going on with you Sasha, the God Girls were right, you can't be trusted and I can't have you here right now saying these awful things about them," Bayley said and she turned to the Rock. "Take her to the airport, let Seth and the God Girls deal with her BS," she said before turning back to Sasha. "My days of babysitting you are over,"
Bayley ran away down to the beach leaving Sasha with an amused look on her face.
"When is she going to realise that I'm right and that this whole God Girl thing is just an exercise in futility? She'll never truly be one of them," Sasha said to the Rock as they watched Bayley run off into the beautiful Malibu sand and sunshine and away from the dark menace emitting from Sasha Banks.
"Just like you'll always be a McMahon," Rock added and Sasha glared at the People's Champ before breaking out into a malicious smile. "Why don't you call your Auntie Steph? I think its time you had a little talk about the future of the business,"
"I want to see my husband first, take me to the airport. Those God Girl b***** have had Seth to themselves for long enough. The Boss wants her Architect and we're about to draw up some plans that don't include Bianca, Becky, Alexa or Charlotte,"
"What about Bayley?" Rock said and Sasha stared down at her old friend who was distressed by her cruel words even though as far as Sasha and Rocky were concerned, she had only spoken the Truth.
"She'll come around and when she does, we'll all finally be rid of the God Girls once and for all," Sasha said and Rocky walked into the beach house with the Boss who was on her way back to the Sandbox with evil intentions in her heart and the future of her family on her mind.
Meanwhile on the beach, Bayley answered her cell phone. It was Queen Melina and she had good news.
"Congratulations Bayley, you passed your probation. You are officially a God Girl. Welcome to the team, Seth and the other God Girls will be so happy to hear that you're not a fully pledged God Girl!" Queen Melina said and Bayley hung up on the Miraculous One without saying a word. The Boss had hit a sore spot that Bayley thought couldn't be touched and now, the future lied with her going to war with the God Girls against her best friend in the whole world and she didn't like it. She didn't like it one bit.
