Lost

Chapter Four

"Wake up, there's trouble."

Groaning, Sarah Jane opened her eyes. She rubbed her temples as a stiff yawn escaped her lips. The voice was back, but this time it sounded desperate.

"Can't you hear it? They are breaking, though. You need to find a pocket fast!"

Sitting up, Sarah Jane tapped the screen on her watch, contacting Mr. Smith.

"Good afternoon, Sarah Jane. How many I help you?" The super computer bellowed.

"How far along are you on the analysis from before?" She asked.

"35% complete," Mr. smith said.

"Good, keep it up. Now I need to find a space pocket."

"Already on it transferring the information to you now,"

Sarah Jane nodded as she swiped the screen on her watch. A few locations of space pockets showed up on the screen. As she looked over at them, a loud thud shook the store. Pressing the second pocket on the screen, Sarah Jane hopped off the bed and ran out into the main room. Her eyes widen for she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Metal minotaurs with glowing red eyes were ramming the barrier along with the harpies and furies.

"Steel, amazing? Well, this tells me they are not working alone," Sarah Jane said as she steps outside.

Pressing a few buttons, Sarah Jane glanced over at the meter on the device that now read 45%. Moving her hand over the watch, she looked up at the minotaurs as it shook the barrier once more, knocking down the meter to 35%.

"I'm sorry Heph, looks like we have to go," Sarah Jane said.

"No worries. It was nice having you both here," Heph replied.

"You found a pocket?" Percy asked.

"Yup, Sarah Jane said, pulling out a sonic lipstick from her purse.

Aiming to her right, she twisted the bottom to match the frequency of the pocket. Walking back to the machine, she typed on the keyboard for a few moments before having her finger hover over the enter button.

"Percy, get ready. We are about to jump." Sarah Jane informed him.

Nodding, Percy took a hold of Sarah Jane's hand as he closed his eyes.

The moment the minotaurs were about to break the barrier with one last charge, Sarah Jane pressed the entered button on the keyboard and a sonic blast erupted, giving off an enormous light. When it dissipated, the charred remains of the furies and harpies remained along with a large pool of steel where the mintaorus once were. But Percy and Sarah Jane were nowhere in sight.

"She always loves to make a gran exit," Hephaestus said as he stared at the liquid steel. "I wonder how good this is."

Elsewhere humming down the street, Oliva Valinda smiled as the sun's warmth felt good as it tickled across her skin. Tighten her arms around her brown bag. She peaked in to get a glimpse of what she bought when she stopped. The wind picked up, brushing across her skin and blowing her back as the once clear blue sky grew dark. Looking up, a black hole opened up above her and flying out came two people, a man and a woman.

Unable to move out of the way in time, Oliva closed her eyes as they all landed on the sidewalk with a thud.

"Ow..." said Percy, rubbing his legs.

"Oof," Sarah Jane said replied, rolling over.

"Um, can you please get off me?" a voice said.

Percy's eyes widen looking into the green eyes of a woman. Rolling over, he jumped up, helping Sarah Jane and the woman up as well.

A loud sigh escaped from Olivia as she winced and rubbed her lower back. She then looked down at her ripped bag and squashed vegetables, cracked eggs, and meat spread across the sidewalk.

"Are you both okay?" Olivia asked.

"A little bruised, but I am okay. Sorry about your groceries," Sarah Jane said.

"Yeah, sorry about that, but are you okay?" Percy said.

"Nothing a nice Epson salt bath won't cure," Olivia said followed with a smile.

"Where are my manners? My name is Sarah Jane Smith," Sarah Jane said.

"I'm Percy Jackson," Percy said.

"I'm Olivia Valinda," Olivia said.

Sarah Jane, Percy and Olivia picked up the produce off the sidewalk and threw it in the trash bin.

"Um, can you tell us where we are?" Percy asked.

"London England," Olivia said.

"So still in the UK," Percy said, followed with a sigh.

Sarah Jane touched Percy's shoulder, who looked at her and nodded.

"Again, sorry about your groceries," Percy said.

Sarah Jane nodded as she pulled out some money from her purse, but Olivia shook her head.

"No need for that. How about we get something to eat your treat?"

"Sounds good," Sarah Jane said.

Smiling, Percy and Sarah Jane lead the way as Olivia followed behind them. She glanced behind her at a tree by a car before catching up to them. Peeking out from behind the tree, a robe figured appear with glowing red eyes.

Sitting down at a small café, Percy was busy stuffing his face with two sausages and eggs sandwiches while Oliva and Sara Jane enjoyed their coffee and muffins.

"Thank you for this," Olivia said.

"Don't mention it. It's the least we can do, but I think Percy is enjoying this more than we are," Sarah Jane said.

Both women looked at Percy, who looked back at them with his mouth full. Laughing, both women shook their heads as they a sip from their cups.

"A moment off my feet is nice," Sarah Jane said.

"It's always wise to take a break during a long adventure," Olivia said.

Silence echoed between Sarah Jane and Percy as they continued to drink and eat.

Leaning back, Percy rubbed his stomach with a content sigh. Both Sarah Jane and Olivia smiled.

Sarah Jane rose to her feet. "Excuse me, I need to use the restroom,"

Percy and Olivia nodded as Sarah Jane walked away the moment she was out of sight. Olivia turned to Percy.

"Since you both have been so kind, I will give you some advice,"

Percy sat up as Olivia gazed at him.

"You coming to the UK was not an accident, but fate so is meeting Ms. Smith," Olivia said, finishing her cup of coffee.

"Do you know about the cube?" Percy asked.

"Yes, but not much. It must be kept close, and a conduit is needed for it work. Now that you have, you can go home but getting there won't be, easy for the hard part is about to begin," Olivia, said, standing up. "Also, beware the robe figure. Goodbye Percy, tell Ms. smith goodbye for me."

Percy nodded as Olivia smiled before walking out of the cafe.

Not an accident, but fate? And a conduit for the cube? When one question is answered, more questions always seem to follow. Sighing, Percy shook his head to clear his thoughts.

"Ah, I see miss Olivia left," Sarah Jane said, returning to the table.

"Yes, she said to say goodbye," Percy said.

Sarah Jane nodded as she sat back down.

"Well, we're still in the UK when we find a place to rest. I'll look for another pocket."

"Sounds good." Percy said, leaning back in the chair.

Percy and Sarah Jane stood up. As they headed toward the door, Sarah Jane stopped and looked around. Seeing this, Percy tapped her shoulder.

"Everything okay?" Percy asked,

"I think so. Come on, let's go," Sarah Jane said, looking around.

Sitting by the window, a woman in a black robe watch as Percy and Sarah Jane leave. As a waiter walked past the table, she reached out and grabbed their arm. The moment he turned to face the robed figure, he looked into her red eyes. Soon, his eyes glowed as his arms dropped to his side.

"Follow them," the woman whispered.

Nodding, the waiter walked out of the cafe.

Back at Camp Half-Blood, Chiron and Dionysus were in Chiron's office. The two were busy looking through book after book, hoping to find information on the golden cube, but they couldn't find anything.

"We looked through every book in your office and all throughout the camp and found nothing," Dionysus said.

"Any word back from the Golden Sun?" Chiron asked.

"No, there still looking,"

Chiron sighed. There has to be some information on it somewhere in their lore information about in their lore. If it wasn't, where else could it be?

Standing on the top of London Eye, the most popular tourist spot in the UK, the woman in the robe pulled back her hood, revealing her long raven black hair and ruby red eyes.

With the flick of his wrist, a man appears standing beside her. While the wind felt nice, a gust of wind almost made the brown-haired man lose his balance as he reached out and the woman steadied him.

"You failed me, Bruno," the woman said.

"Octavia…. I'm sorry we didn't think they would escape," Bruno said before bowing slightly.

"No matter, I've found them while your minotaurs only seem to know destruction. I have a new task for you," Octavia said as she handed him a piece of paper.

Taking the piece of paper, the man glanced over it before looking back at Octavia.

"This is a list of cities all over the world,"

"Inform the clans. It's time to move," Octavia said, glancing back at the man. This time we will cause a big enough distraction that will bring the world to its knees and when the cube is mines not even the gods will be able to stop me."
