Lost

Chapter Seven

Floating down a stream, that's what Percy's body felt like, but he wasn't wet. A nice cool breeze wrapped around him so much so that he felt at ease. He would have drifted off to sleep if it wasn't for the voice that whispered in his ear.

"You can open your eyes, Percy,"

Percy shook his head. He didn't want to. All he could think of was drifting off to sleep.

A loud sigh could behead followed by a slap to his face. Percy's eyes shot open as he stood up. His eyes wander as many images pass by him. From Big Ben, The Eiffel Tower along with many more.

Looking down, Percy looked toward the voice that spoke to him. He expected to see Sarah Jane, but he saw a woman with long crystal brown hair with a gold tint in her pale blue eyes. Percy couldn't stop staring, which made the woman smile.

"This always happens every time I show myself," the woman said, closing Percy's mouth.

"Who are you?" Percy pushed out his lips.

"I'm Theia known as the Lady of light and you're Percy Jackson," Theia said, leaning in closer taking a sniff. "The son of Poseidon."

"Uh yeah," Percy said, leaning away from Theia.

Backing away, Theia bowed slightly.

"Sorry, it's not every day a goddess like me encounters those of the fifth generation

"Hold on, fifth generation?" Percy asked.

"Yeah, fifth on the celestial system, I'll explain it later."

Percy nodded. "Where is Sarah Jane?"

"She's here," Theia said, point to her body as she transformed back into Sarah Jane, then back into herself. "She is merely resting while I have control.

"Okay, well, I have a ton of questions about the conduit, the cube... I don't know where to begin with that." Percy said.

Theia nodded. "My essences lives in the cube and I need a body a conduit that can handle my power, hence me choosing Sarah Jane."

"Okay cool. Thanks for cleaning that up," Percy said, flapping around like a bird.

Theia smiled as she took a hold of Percy's hand and floated down the pocket of time.

"So Octavia how does she fit into all of this?" Percy asked.

"I was waiting for you to get to her," Theia paused, followed with a sigh. We were friends, inseparable twins many called us. That is until we had a visit from the embodiment of darkness himself."

"Chaos," Percy said.

"That is a day I will never forget"

Theia's mind went back to her and Octavia playing by the lake. They laughed as they chased each other until Theia bumped into something and fell backwards. Looking up, she saw a man with red eyes wearing a pinstriped black suit with a top hat hold a cane with a skull on top.

"Light and darkness playing together. Oh no, that's not how it's supposed to be," a man said, looking down at Theia.

"Who are you, mister?" Theia asked.

"Everyone calls me Mr. C, but you can all me Chaos," the man said.

By this time Octavia helped Theia up as she stood in front of her.

"I heard tales of you, and your dark power," Octavia said.

Chaos smiled. "You have such power as well, my dear."

Octavia tilted her head as Chaos opened his hand with in moments an enormous book appeared giving off a reddish light appeared.

Octavia's eyes were glued to the book as she walked closer. She raised her hand to touch it only for Theia to pull her away, but Chaos's eyes glowed, knocking Theia back.

When Theia stood up Octavia stood before her holding the book with a red light swirling around her with Chaos laughing.

"Now everything is as it should be," Chaos said before he disappeared.

Floating in place, Theia sighed as she shook her head and cleared her throat, forcing her tears back down in her heart as her mind returned to the present.

"And she's been after me ever since." Theia said.

Percy patted her on the back. "I know what it's like to lose a friend.

Looking down at the stream, Percy noticed the image of the white house they were getting close.

"We should be there shortly," Thea said, pushing those thoughts into the back of her mind.

"And if she's there?" Percy asked.

"Leave her to me. Now let's go."

Nodding, the two continued floating down the time stream in silence.

Rain continued pouring over New York, a loud roar scorched the skies as another portal opened.

Pushing herself off the bench, Annabeth pulled out her daggers as Grover, along with many others, looked upon dozens of creatures heading their way. Ignoring her aches and pains, Annabeth took a deep breath as she charged forward, with everyone else following right behind her.

But they all came to a stop when a portal opened right in front of them. Annabeth eyes widen and Grover smiled when Percy emerged with a woman with long brown hair with a gold tint in her eyes and pale skin.

"Guys, I missed you," Percy said.

"Um, we are kind of busy," Annabeth said, pointing behind him.

Percy turned around, looking at the horde of monsters charging toward them. Theia smiled as she stood in front of all of them.

"She always loved her minotaurs."

Annabeth and Grover looked to Percy. "Who is she?"

"Theia, Lady of Light. I'll explain it later."

Percy was about to pull out his sword, only for Theia to hold her hand up.

"I've got this,"

Theia's eyes flicker as an enormous blast left her hand. The creatures looked on in horror, for when the light touched them, they screamed and turned to dust. Looking at the Portal they came thought Theia's eyes flicker again as the balled up her fist and within seconds, the port closed.

Turning around, she looked at Annabeth, Percy, and Grover.

"Wow Theia, that's amazing," Grover said.

"Thank you, but we need to get out of here." Theia said.

Nodding, Percy and Theia followed Annabeth and Grover. While the portal she closed slowly opened.

Meanwhile, on the other half of New York, Chrion pulled his sword out of Chimera while Dionysus flicking harpy entrails off his shoulders, he met up with Chrion, who stared at him before looking back at the countless bodies of monsters lining the streets.

"No matter how many we slay, they just keep coming," Dionysus said.

"From there," Chiron said, pointing to the red and black portal swirling a few feet away.

"Hm," is all that left Dionysus' lips as he moved toward the portal.

He wanted to exam the portal a little closer. He wondered who or what created it. From all the Gods, he knew none of them couldn't make a portal like that.

"I don't think we should too close to that thing." Chiron said.

"He's right", a female voice answered.

The two of them turned around and laid eyes on an unfamiliar woman standing with Percy, Annabeth, and Grover.

As they grew closer, Dionysus couldn't stop looking at the woman. Her aura brimmed with a light and he couldn't resist.

"Who's your friend?" Dionysus asked, followed with a wink.

Chiron nudged Dionysus in the gut, causing Percy to laugh as Annabeth sighed, shaking her head.

"I am glad to see you, Percy, and I believe we have your new friend to thank for that," Chiron said.

"Yeah, this is Theia Lady of light." Percy said.

Dionysus tilted his head while Chiron smiled, nodding to Theia.

Nodding back, Theia glanced over at them, eyeing another portal. Her eyes glowed as she formed a fist, snapping the portal close. But this time, she swayed a little as she shook her head.

"While it's nice to meet you both, but we really need to leave," Theia said.

"Okay then everyone huddle together," Chiron said.

Dionysus huddled close to Theia while everyone else go in close as well. When Chiron turned the orb, a light lined their bodies before engulfing them. When the light disappeared, they were gone.

A few hours later a sealed portal busted open as Octavia walked through with Bruno and his minotaurs along with a two Chimeras.

Looking around Octavia relishing at the sight before her from over turned cars, abandon buildings, shattered glass along the street and sidewalks to an eerie silence that would make any mortal blood run cold. She found it all so relaxing, yet deep down, she always found it a little sad. Shaking her head, she sniffed the air. Her nose twitched at the gross scent of lilac and the seashells. She raised an eyebrow for a whiff of a few other scents she didn't recognize. Were mixed in as well.

"They were here along with others. Something was used mostly likely a spell or an object to teleport away." Octavia said.

"Probably to Camp Half-Blood, a camp of demigods," Bruno said.

Octavia looked at Bruno.

"A camp of hybrids? Tell me more."

"It's said there is a place in the state of Long Island where demigods train under two immortals to fight for the gods," Bruno said.

A smile spread across Octavia's lips as more monsters walked out from the portal.

"Lead the way. I can't wait to get there."
