Dumbledore watched as the eldest Weasley walked towards them, and saw a brief moment of confusion, with regards to the seating arrangements. When he sat down Dumbledore placed a silencing charm around the two of them, so none of the others could hear. He wanted a good reaction so he waited until he'd had some food and took a drink as he then spilled the beans.

"So when are you going to make an honest woman out of my granddaughter, Professor Weasley?" He got the reaction he wanted and he spat his drink out all over the table, noticing a few students turn to stare, at their professor's dropped jaw, unable to hide his shock.

"Your what?" He managed to recover and clean the area magically, Dumbledore couldn't help but chuckle.

"Don't worry I placed a silencing charm around us, so neither Professors on either side of us can hear, what we are saying. Yes, Miss Granger is my granddaughter, no she doesn't know and congratulations on the twins."

"You know I can't keep secrets from her..." he smiled, that's exactly what he wanted to hear also.

"I know, Professor Weasley. I have my reasons for keeping my distance mainly at my daughters request. I am regretful I never got to mend torn bridges with her before she died. I take it your siblings and Mr Potter doesn't know? Anything of anything do they?" He asked him.

"No... we didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings or cause any more of whatever during stressful times. Now that she is pregnant, things have changed slightly. I think it would help her feel better if she knew she had family, other than myself, my family and Harry. She erased their memories of her and this world to protect them, only for them to be killed in a muggle accident."

"Yes, it took a lot of effort for me not to react when Minerva told me what she asked her to help her with. Minerva has no clue, Hermione is my best-kept secret and I couldn't be more proud of how far she's come. Why else would I give a student my time-turner who isn't my own flesh and blood? I wouldn't trust anyone else with it, I was surprised when she gave it back to me."

"Because of us, and already being aged a couple of years above her year group, I believe." He explained. "Why are you telling me this now?" He asked genuinely confused. Dumbledore sighed and took a bite out of his pizza slice.

"Your name appeared on my family tree alongside two lines, I'd be surprised if Molly and Arthur do not know..." he pales as he thought about this.

"Shit... I'd forgotten about the family tree. We were going ask if you and McGonagall could come to see us this evening and tell you both then, she's got bad sickness at the moment. Madame Pomfrey is going to give her some stuff to help; and Hermione said she might come down on Monday but not sure if she'll want to attend lessons or not. I don't think she'll stop hurting for a while, which is why I think it'll do her good to know about this, Dumbledore." Like he said before, he also didn't want to keep any secrets from his girlfriend either! They've had a very open and honest relationship, and doesn't want to start changing things now.

"I will inform her later this evening, I know she probably doesn't need any more shock or upset, but I don't want to hide from her either anymore and would like to be involved in her and my great-grandchildren's lives.. with the war progressing rapidly I was debating about contacting Helen to tell Hermione the truth, being a half-blooded witch will offer her some protection, more than being a muggle-born." He paused.

"Between the two of us and the Order, I know we will be able to protect her from harm. It's one of the only reasons I reluctantly accepted Helen's request, not to involve myself in Hermione's life. I also hope she doesn't resent her mother for not telling her she's a half-blood witch... I did warn Helen that her choices could backfire when she told me what she wanted to do when she was pregnant." A sad look, he couldn't hide appears on his face.

"One of the last times I saw Helen was with me holding my granddaughter for the first and last time. She wanted to completely separate herself from me and the wizarding world when she fell in love with Riley Granger. I'll admit I did not like the man for a very long time."

"You can't push Hermione for anything at the moment. She's a bit emotional and in shock with two major life changes. I have had to stop myself from asking her to marry me, especially after Madame Pomfrey confirmed the twin's existence... and also because I'm a selfish wizard in love, and want others to know she's one hundred percent taken." He paused debating.

"I also hope it will also stop my little brother's advances and jealousy. He proved my thoughts, earlier when they cornered me and asked where she is, and he couldn't hide it when he said I was the last person to see her, and the other two said McGonagall wouldn't spill. There's only been one incident that I'm aware of, and I know Hermione would not lie to me. I have told little white lies to my siblings and Harry, to protect my witch and now babies. Only the two troublesome brothers of mine know, about Hermione and I, not our twins... I told Madame Pomfrey none of my family knows about us. Fred and George have actually really impressed me by surprisingly keeping their mouths shut for once."

"I'm going to remove the silencing charm now, Umbridge has been openly trying to hear what we are saying. It think we have been conversing in private for too long."

"I'll pop round with Minerva at eight-ish!" And just like that, it was almost like he just hadn't been told his girlfriend is related to Dumbledore. His head felt like it's going to explode, and if he felt like this he wasn't sure how his girlfriend is going to react to this next surprise dropped on her.

He'd be surprised if she does come down on Monday.
