Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan: The Island
As the ship couldn't progress any further to this island that was up ahead, the tournament invitees had to go the rest of the way in five smaller boats. It was fortunate, since there were only thirty people invited to the tournament, all fighters that were the best of their generation…with only a handful from the previous generation that were invited by chance.
"Archer calling Knight," went Sasha on her radio as she sat beside Mikasa on one of the boats, getting nothing but static. "Archer calling Knight and Giant. Can anyone hear me?"
She was only getting static on her radio.
"Braun, Hoover, this is Blouse, do you copy?"
"Forget whoever it is you're trying to contact," Mikasa told her, holding up her phone. "I can't get any reception, and I just got this phone last month."
"I don't think anything electronic works here," said Eren to them. "We're nowhere near any stretch of civilization right now. Does either of you have a compass?"
Sasha brings up her watch and flips it over to reveal a compass, its directional arrow spinning without end. Wherever they were, it wasn't on any map in existence.
"All this for a tournament?" She asked them.
"A tournament with the stakes being high," Eren replied. "So, you're just after a guy that murdered your husband?"
"That's right."
"If you saw him board the ship, then he's gotta be where we're going."
"I hope he is."

Watching from the safety of the ancient ship, Kano watched as Sasha Blouse was being taken to the island for the tournament. He smirked as his own transport was being prepped to take him to the opposite end of the island.

"…Are you sure you don't want me to carry your bag for you, Mikasa?" Eren offered his childhood friend as they were walking up a massive flight of steps.
"I'm sure; being able to go up these stairs without aid is a test of one's inner strength and perseverance," she responded. "Also, I only packed three changes of clothes and emergency rations; I don't know how long the tournament will be, so I packed a week's worth of rations."
"I don't think anyone has to worry about being hungry during this thing," went Sasha to her.
"Maybe, but it's better to be prepared than to have regrets."
Eren looked up the remaining steps…and sighed at how, unlike Mikasa, he was unprepared for anything due to only trying to find out who killed his father and half-brother. Not even Sasha was prepared due to her wanting only to find her husband's killer. So, basically, neither was prepared for anything like Mikasa was.
"So…someone killed your father and brother?" Sasha asked him.
"Yeah. I think it had something to do with this tournament," he explained, showing her his mark. "They both had this mark on them before they were killed. I'm guessing whoever killed them killed others with the same mark."
"What's so special about a dragon tattoo?"
"Not sure, but it probably has something to do with this tournament."
The walk up the mountain continued until they reached the top where the steps ceased going in one direction, coming to a path into a large hall of decaying trees and damaged statues.
"Wow," Sasha expressed as she, Eren and Mikasa walked down the hall with everyone else that had been invited.
"Yeah," Eren agreed with her, and stopped to look at something that wasn't a natural part of the scenery in this hall.
Two women. Well, a woman and a young girl, with ebony hair and blond hair, respectively, sitting on some rocks and under a large umbrella, observing the travelers as they walked by. The only thing that seemed to stand out about them was the likelihood that neither appeared to be related; the blond-haired girl had this look of innocence mixed with a measure of sadness while the ebony-haired woman had this look of cold seriousness on their faces. The girl looked at Eren with an expression that seemed to be a greeting one, but Mikasa took his attention and needed to say something to him that spoke volumes.
"Even when they look at you, Eren," she stated, "they are out of your league. Someone like her… She must be promised to someone."
"We don't know that," he responded, looking at the girl. "We would need to speak to her."
"All I'm saying is…don't do anything stupid around her."
As they and Sasha walked further down the hall, the two beauties looked away towards the sorcerer who appeared just moments after the three travelers left. He looked to the ladies and then to the disappearing trio.
"Princess Kitana and Princess Historia," Shang Tsung uttered their names. "They're both dangerous when desired. Still, they're off limits, regardless of desire. Historia won't do anything to risk losing you. So watch her carefully, Ymir, and you'll find that which you have lost returned to you."
In front of him was a statue of a woman that slowly moved to reveal that it was animated, shifting into a lesser form, almost resembling a monster of sorts with long arms and short legs. It jumped up onto the ceiling and crawled into a hole, disappearing from sight.
Shang Tsung looked at the blond, Historia, who looked back with a sudden measure of…contempt towards him. But he wasn't intimidated; the girl could do nothing if it meant losing that which she herself desired more than anything. As he walked away, he was followed closely by…something. It didn't look like it was there, but you couldn't see it properly to get any detail in its appearance.
To be continued…
A/N: Okay, there's going to be signs of something more going on here, but I'm sure some of you can guess what those signs are. Manipulation and possession. Look out for the next chapter in the future. There may be more than eye candy later on.
