Luna was inside of the crown arcade, it was after dark, before she woke up Sailor Moon, she was contacted by Artemis who had woken up the sailor guardian behind the code name of Sailor V. Luna was doing some research about who she thinks could be the next sailor guardian who was going to be woken up. As she stared at the screen, she had pictures of Usagi and a blue haired girl who went to Usagi's school, she also had an unknown picture of Tuxedo Mask.
Luna also thought that it was weird that Usagi's mom knew more about the situation than Luna herself knew. 'Why did Usagi's mom look like she knew that I would come for Usagi this entire time? Could she know something about the past that I don't and who is this Tuxedo Mask? He did help Usagi, but I don't trust him.' Luna thought, then she eyed the picture of the blue haired girl. "She could be the reincarnation of Sailor Mercury; I will keep an eye on her." Luna said to herself,
The students were standing around the board of the smartest students in the school, with Ami Mizuno being the one in first place. Usagi was away from the group with her good grades and staying away from all the commotion, 'They make it look like being smart is a curse, when it is a blessing.' She thought, then out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ami standing alone, as everyone goes crazy about the blue haired girl's good grades. 'Why can't I have a friend?' Ami thought before she left to the courtyard since it was now lunch time. The blue haired girl sat alone on a bench away from everyone, she had her math book in her lap and her lunch was off to the side.
As she was trying to enjoy her lunch and challenge herself with hard math problems, she heard chatting behind her. "Isn't that Mizuno from class 5?" Asked one of the boys to his buddy, "Yeah I heard that all she ever does is study, she has no friends, and she is so quiet." Said the other, Ami was upset, and the boys even realized that she was listening to what they said. Ami gathered her things and was about to leave when she saw Usagi walk out with her friends, they were laughing about random things. Ami noticed that Usagi was almost as smart as her, 'She has friends so why can't I?' She thought to herself, but who knew that Usagi would be her first ever friend.
*In the Dark Kingdom*
Jadeite was at the pool of clay, he was going to be making a new monster and hopefully this one is successful in finding the Silver Crystal. This monster took the form of a teacher, since he thinks that the silver crystal could be hidden within one of the smart students in the Japanese school system. "Go, find the crystal, and don't fail me." He said, the evil teacher clay monster bowed and teleported to the surface to do her job.
*Back on the surface*
It was after school and Usagi was heading home with test results in her hands, she couldn't help but smile at the results she got. Luna was nowhere to be found, the blond was also thinking of Tuxedo Mask, who Luna doesn't trust yet. 'Why did he look so familiar?' She thought, but then she hears a gasp, she looks ahead to see Ami by a tree that Luna jumped out of. 'That's Mizuno, from class 5. I feel bad that she had no friends, and I have always wanted a study buddy. So, I will go talk to her.' Usagi thought as she walked towards them, "Hi there," she said, Ami turned to see Usagi coming her way, the shy blue haired girl held Luna in her arms and she shyly smiled at Usagi. "I hope that my cat didn't scare you." Usagi said, Ami shook her head, "No she didn't, when I saw her come down from the tree, I thought that she was an angel falling from heaven." Ami said, 'Aww, she's shy, that's really sweet.' Usagi thought,
"Here, I think she wants her owner." Ami said handing Luna back to Usagi, when the blondes' hands touched Ami's, the blue haired girl got a vision of a kingdom from far away. 'What was that?' Ami thought, "I don't think we formally introduced ourselves yet. I'm Usagi Tsukino from class 1, and you already have met Luna." Usagi said, "I'm Ami Mizuno, from class 5." Ami said, returning the introduction, "Hey Mizuno, have you ever been to an arcade?" Ami looked at Usagi a little shocked, "An arcade?" She asked, Usagi nodded, the blue haired girl thought for a moment before nodding, Usagi smiled, and they made their way to the crown arcade.
Once there Usagi showed Ami to the Sailor V game, Usagi played first, Ami saw how the blond was able to come up with a battle strategy for the game. But when she got to one of the bosses, she failed to beat it, because her plan didn't work. "Aww darn it!" She said looking down in disappointment, Motoki walked over to see the blond and her new blue haired friend. "Hey Usagi, stopping by on your way home from school again?" He asked, she turned to him, "Yes, I am," She replied then Motoki saw Ami, "Oh is this your friend Usagi?" He asked, Usagi nodded, giving Ami the spotlight to speak. "I'm Ami Mizuno, it's nice to meet you." Ami said introducing herself, "Likewise Ami, I'm Motoki, I work here part time after school. My Uncle runs the arcade," Motoki said, Usagi smiled knowing that she was able to get Ami to come out of her shell a little. "Hey Ami, would you like a turn on the game?" Usagi asked, catching the attention of her blue haired friend, "What you want me to try?" Ami asked confused,
"Yeah, why don't you give it a try?" Ami nodded before Usagi got up and the blue haired girl took her spot and then she started playing the game. It shocked everyone in the arcade, they crowded around Ami as she played the game, and she was able to beat the game with one of the highest scores ever. But not knowing that Usagi has got the highest score, she never shares these things. When Ami got her score, she was hugged by Usagi, "Way to go Ami!" She cried and that caused Ami to smile, then a pen came out of the prize slot. It was a pretty blue pen, but that pen was not just any pen, that pen was the transformation pen of Sailor Mercury. Luna put it there so that she could give it to Ami without telling the girl herself until the time was right.
"It's such a pretty pen," Ami said as she took the pen from the dispenser, "I want one now," Usagi said then since Ami got the biggest score ever, another prize came out since it realized that Usagi had a good score as well then, a pink pen with a pink diamond came out, Usagi took it and she got excited. "Hey Ami, is it ok if I call you that?" Usagi asked, Ami turned to the blond and nodded smiling, "Of course then I'll call you Usagi." The girls smiled at each other as Ami looked at the time, "Oh my is that the time? I have to get going." Ami said, getting up and grabbing her bag. "To where?" Usagi asked, she never listens to her friend's conversation before she met up with Ami for the first time, they were talking about the cram school of Crystal Seminar.
"To Cram school," Ami replied, "Is it Crystal Seminar? The very popular cram school near here?" Usagi asked, Ami nodded, "Yeah I go there every day since I need to study hard in order to become a doctor like my mom." Usagi smiled, "That is so cool Ami, well I will see you later." Usagi said, Ami nodded before she left, then Usagi left with Luna following her as they headed for home. Luna was thinking about talking to Usagi's mother about why she knew about Usagi being awoken as Sailor Moon.
When they arrived at the Tsukino residents Selena was there to greet them, "Welcome home dear," She said sweetly as she took in the foyer with a smile on her face, "I'm back mom," Usagi said returning the smile, "How was school?" Selena asked, "It was good, I met a new friend." Selena was happy to hear that her daughter made a new friend. "That's wonderful, what's her name?" She asked, "Her name is Ami Mizuno, she wants to be a doctor like her mom." Usagi replied as she took off her shoes and put her bag down. 'So, she met Athena's daughter, that's wonderful progress. I'm so happy that she is getting to meet her friends from the past, but I also know that an enemy can attack at any time.' Selena thought,
"That's wonderful dear, now why don't you go upstairs and do your homework while I make you a snack." Usagi nodded before leaving with her textbooks and heading to her room. Selena knew that Luna didn't go upstairs with Usagi right away, so she knew that the cat was curious. "Luna follow me." Selena said heading towards the kitchen. Selena sat at the table and Luna jumped onto the table, "Luna, don't be scared to talk to me, I know who you are even if you don't remember me." Selena said, "I'm surprised by that, but how did you know that I would awaken your daughter as Sailor Moon?" Luna asked, "That I can't answer right now, all I want you to do is focus on your job, then when you want to know more, then come see me, I can't say anything at the moment since I don't want to burden Usagi with more responsibilities." Selena answered with a sigh, Luna nodded before heading towards Usagi's room.
Usagi finished her homework and was now lying on her bed, she couldn't get the recurring dream she has been having out of her head, 'Who is that man, and why did he call out the name Serenity? But why does that name sound so familiar to me?' She thought, then Luna walked in, "Usagi, what are you doing just lying there, you need to be ready for the next villain attack, you never know when another one will arrive." Luna said, Usagi sighed, "I may not know why you want me to do this Luna, but I trust you." Usagi sat up and looked at Luna,
"Good, because we have to find our allies and find the Legendary Silver Crystal." Luna explained. "Allies you say, like Sailor V?" Usagi asked, then another face came to mind. It was the face of the mysterious man who had captivated her heart. "Oh, and like Tuxedo Mask?" Luna sighed and completely turned down those dreams of the bubbly blond. "No, I already know who the 2nd Sailor is, we just need to keep an eye on them right now. We need to make sure that they are ok and unharmed by the enemy." Luna said, Usagi nodded, not knowing what was happening to Ami at the cram school.
*At Crystal Seminar*
Ami was doing her extra work when the teacher, who was the disguised monster sent by Jadeite, walked up next to her. "We are glad to have you here at Crystal Seminar." She said catching the attention of Ami, the blue haired girl looked up at the teacher. "You need to study hard if you want to be a doctor, so that's why we want to give you this exclusive Crystal Seminar Study Disc, make sure to use it everyday if you want to achieve your dream." She said handing the disc to Ami, the blue haired girl took it, "Yes Ma'am I will," she said before putting the disc in the computer and continuing her work, not knowing that the disc was actually a brainwashing program.
*The Next Day*
Usagi was sitting with Naru and their friends, but one of them was missing, "Hey has anyone seen Kori?" Naru asked, Usagi shrugged her shoulders until they saw their friend. "Hey Kori, you, ok?" Usagi called out to her friend, but the girl ignored her, 'This is bad, this could be the work of an enemy, but I wonder if Luna has already picked up on what was going on.' Usagi thought before she got up and made her way to the media center to find Ami, the blond wanted to ask her blue haired friend if she wanted to go get Ice Cream with her and her friends.
When Usagi walked into the Media Center she saw her friend sitting at one of the computers using the disc that she was given by the teacher at Crystal Seminar. But before Usagi walked up to the girl, Ami was working on a question that she was stuck on. She had her notebook open, and she knew the answer, but it wasn't right at the top of her head at the moment. "Oh, I know, I'll write it down with this new pen." She said as she picked it up and started writing with it, when she finished writing it down, Usagi was now standing next to her. "Hey Ami," She said, catching the girl's attention, "Oh Usagi, I'm sorry I didn't see you there," Ami said in a shocked voice.
"No, it's ok, but I was wondering, would you like to come and get some Ice Cream with me and my friends later?" Usagi asked, Ami thought for a moment before nodding, "Yes I would love to!" She said happily, but then she remembered the words of the teacher. Usagi could see a change in Ami's eyes, "I'm sorry, but I can't go with you," Ami said, her voice was not normal, she gathered her stuff before getting up and looking to Usagi, "I need to go study now." She said as she bowed before leaving the media center. "That was weird," Usagi said to herself, then Luna made an appearance, "There you are," Luna said, Usagi got down to the cat's level before speaking again, "Luna, something is wrong with Ami and I don't know what it is, but I need to help her." Luna nodded,
"Yeah, I feel the same way," Luna said, the blond then saw that the Crystal Seminar Disc was still on the table. "Ami left her disc, but I think we should take a look at it when we get back to my house." Usagi said, Luna nodded before the blond took the disc and they left the school.
As they walked down the street a group of people by the shopping center caught the attention of both Luna and Usagi, it was the teacher from Crystal Seminar who was actually the monster sent to the surface by Jadeite. She was handing out flyers for a new program that they were hosting. "Come to Crystal Seminar and watch your grade fly higher than ever before!" She called out as she waved the flyers, Usagi thought that she was crazy, then the lady walked up to her, "We are advertising our new learning program, why don't you take a flier," Usagi took the flier that the lady was handing her, she then started walking again. "So, this is Ami's cram school, it looks took boring for me, and I already have good grades." Usagi said, then she heard a familiar voice. "I knew that we would meet again, Miss. Bun head." Usagi's heart started to beat fast, she felt like this when she met him once before. "So, we do meet again," she said as she turned around and it was the same guy from the Osaka Jewelry Store.
Luna didn't trust this guy, so she was going to keep a closer eye on him than anyone else besides the Dark Kingdom. The man knew that the cat didn't like him, so he was going to make his introduction a quick one. "I know that I never told you my name the first time we met, so I will do it now like I promised." He said, Usagi nodded, knowing that Luna would be going on ahead. "My name is Mamoru," He said with a smile, "And I'm Usagi," the blond said returning the introduction. "A name that translates in the English language to Rabbit or Bunny, is the Rabbit your favorite animal?" Mamoru asked, Usagi nodded, "Yes, it is," She answered, "I see," then the bunny loving blond spoke up, "And your name translates to Protect, I like the sound of that, I hope we meet again." Usagi said before turning around to meet up with Luna, "Yes I'm sure we will," Mamoru said, then he had a thought,
'That is for certain, Sailor Moon.' He thought, the 17-year-old high school student didn't think that he would find out the heroine's identity so quickly, but now that he knows her as a hero and as a normal girl, he will make sure to protect her, but he can't get the dream he has been having since he was about 6 years old out of his head. 'But why did she look like the princess from my dreams?'' He asked himself before he was handed the same flier Usagi was, he then left the scene knowing that Usagi would transform into Sailor Moon again that night.
Once arriving at home, Usagi was greeted by Selena, then the blond went up to her room to find out what was hidden within the disc that Ami was using. Usagi put the disc into her computer, but it looked like a normal disc with questions. "It looks normal, but from how Ami was acting I was expecting more." Usagi said then she remembered a trick that her technology teacher used, 'I guess that can work.' She thought then she did the trick, and a voice came through the disc. "Find the Legendary Silver Crystal," it said, Luna was shocked, their enemies already knew about the crystal and that it was somewhere on Earth.
"So, I was right, there was something wrong with this disc," Usagi said then she turned to Luna, "We have to save Ami," the black cat nodded, "Yes of course, we will save her, let's get going."
Then they left the house and made their way towards the location of Crystal Seminar where Ami was at the time. When they arrived at the cram school there were 2 men standing outside of the main entrance. Usagi was looking their way from an alleyway to Luna, "How do we get past them?" Usagi asked, "Usagi, the pen you won at the arcade, it is a disguise pen, all you have to do is call out moon power change and what you want to be disguised as." Usagi nodded before taking the pen out of the chest pocket of her uniform then she tossed it into the air.
"Moon Power, change me into a doctor!" She called out, knowing that a doctor could get into a place like a cram school easily if they were called there in a hurry. The power of the pen changed Usagi's school uniform into a doctor's outfit, "Way to go Usagi, no one will know it's you, let's get going." Luna said, Usagi nodded, she got down and opened the bag in her hands letting Luna inside, knowing that cats were not allowed on school grounds, or any pet for that matter. 'Alright here we go,' Usagi thought before coming out of her hiding spot and jogging up towards the door.
The guards at the door saw Usagi running up and they could see by her outfit that she was a doctor of some kind. "Is there something you need?" One of them asked, the other guard looked at him like he was dumb. "She's a doctor you idiot, she may need to get to a classroom and help someone." Said the other, "Alright, go on in." He said, Usagi nodded and ran into the school, once passing the doors she spoke to Luna, "Alright, where in, where in this place is Ami?" She asked, "She is on the 4th floor, classroom 415." Usagi nodded and ran towards the classroom where Ami was.
*Meanwhile with Ami*
The blue haired girl was doing her work, but for the teacher it wasn't fast enough. "Can't you solve these questions faster?" She asked impatiently, "Sorry, ma'am, I will work faster." Ami replied, her voice still dull from her being brainwashed. The evil teacher smirked, 'With this girl's brains and my power, we will find the Legendary Silver Crystal, then we will take over Tokyo, no not just this city, but all of Japan.' The evil teacher thought, then she saw Ami's pen, "Is this a pen?" The teacher asked to pick it up, Ami saw what the teacher did, and she stopped working to look at why the teacher had her pen. And her eyes were dying out of the brainwashed green color they were under. "YOU WILL HAVE NO DISTRACTIONS!" The teacher yelled throwing the pen away, Ami got up and was about to go after the pen when the teacher grabbed her arm.
"Sit back down," she said but before she could force Ami back to her seat the door to the classroom opened and Usagi walked in still disguised as a doctor. "I'm here Ami!" She called out, the teacher looked at Usagi and didn't know what was going on. "Who are you?" The evil teacher asked, "I am someone who helps others, kind of like a doctor saves lives, I will not let you torment that girl's smarts and use it against this planet." Usagi said she knew that Luna was already out of the bag that came with the disguise. Knowing the state that Ami was in, Usagi knew that she had to transform in front of her friend in order to save her. "MOON PRISM POWER MAKE UP!" Usagi cried out then the same and now familiar transformation took place, and in place of Usagi disguised as the doctor, was now Usagi as Sailor Moon. "I'm the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and for justice! I am Sailor Moon!" She called out, "Now in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!" Now with the catchphrase memorized Usagi was ready to fight and save her friend.
"So, you have shown yourself Sailor Moon," said the evil teacher, Luna made an appearance and she knocked into the teacher causing the monster to lose her grip on Ami and fall backwards. Now free Ami was able to get to her pen, she held it close before standing up, she looked at what was happening in front of her with a black expression. "You are getting annoying," said the evil teacher before she started to lose her civilian form and turn into a monster. Usagi was nervous but she had to save her friend. 'I will not allow my fear to get the best of me.' Usagi thought,
The teacher then started to fire sharp papers at Usagi, the blond heroine was able to dodge them but soon it would be too hard for her to handle. "I have had enough, playtime is over." The monster said, she then changed the form of the papers, they pinned Usagi to the wall, "I can't move, and I can't reach my tiara, so how am I going to take out this enemy?" Usagi asked wanting to know, then she saw that the monster was coming her way. "SOMEONE HELP ME!" She called activating the ultrasonic waves. But they seemed to have no effect on the monster, "Your ultrasonic waves won't work on me." She said Usagi was sure that this thing would harm her in some way not knowing that something remarkable was about to happen.
Ami watched as her friend struggled and as the monster made her way towards the blond. Ami was starting to remember what Usagi said to her days before, "Hey Ami, is it ok if I call you that?" Usagi's voice echoed in the blue haired girl's head, then she came back to reality. 'Oh no, that thing is about to hurt my friend.' Ami said then she felt something unlock inside of her. "DON'T HURT HER!" Ami screamed then the pen in her hands started to glow, then the wisdom mark of the planet Mercury could be visible on her forehead. Luna came out of hiding and she smiled, 'I was right,' she thought before speaking to Ami.
"Ami, I need you to listen to me," Luna said, the blue haired girl looking at the black cat surprised that she could talk. "Luna?" she asked in surprise, "You're the only one who can save her, now I need you to raise that pen high and repeat after me, Mercury Power Make Up!" Ami nodded and Luna and did as she was told, she raised her pen high and repeated. "MERCURY POWER MAKE UP!" Then Ami was wrapped in water, she had a similar sailor suit top as Usagi, but hers was sleeveless, she had light blue knee-high boots, a light blue mini skirt wrapped around her waist, with a darker blue bow at the back, a bow the same color as the back was on the front of her, and a light blue brooch was in the middle of the bow, a similar pair of gloves to Usagi's but the ends where light blue, then finally a gold tiara with a blue gem in the middle was on her head.
Since the transformation was complete it was certain that Ami was Sailor Mercury, the brains of the group. Then a familiar catchphrase hit Ami like a truck, and she repeated it. "I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and intelligence, I am Sailor Mercury! Douse yourself in water and repent!" Ami said and it shocked her how she was a sailor guardian just like Usagi. "I knew that you were Sailor Mercury, the brains of the group." Luna said, then Ami remembered that Usagi still needed help. Ami started to form water in her hands, "Mercury, aqua mist!" then a thick yet light mist covered the classroom. "Now Sailor Moon!" Ami called, but Usagi was having a tough time getting loose, 'dang it, at this rate the monster will find me, what do I do now?' Usagi asked herself, then she was met with a familiar presence, while the monster was distracted, Tuxedo Mask snuck in and got Usagi loose.
He gently placed her on her feet back on the ground, "Now it's your chance to take that monster out." Usagi nodded, the mysterious man in the tuxedo moved away and Usagi placed her hand on her tiara, and it came off forming the boomerang again. "Moon tiara boomerang!" Usagi cried, throwing the boomerang and attacking the monster, finishing her off. Now with the monster gone, the mist subsided and Usagi saw Ami who was holding Luna. She went over to them, "Ami, you're like me! This is amazing, would you like to come to my house, and we can talk things over?" Usagi asked, Ami nodded, and they left the cram school but not before Ami grabbed her stuff, and they de-transformed.
They walked down the street, "Also Ami, how would you like to be my study buddy?" Usagi asked, "Really?!" Ami said shocked, "Yeah, you see I'm like you, being one of the smart kids but I hide my grades from everyone but my mom." Usagi said, Ami nodded, and they went towards Usagi's house.
Nearby the cram school was a shrine known as the Hikawa Shrine, it was run by the Hino Family. It was also the home of the 3rd sailor guardian that Luna needs to find, the guardian of war, passion, and fire. Rei Hino, the shrine owner's granddaughter, and the reincarnated queen of Mars' daughter. She was about to be found by Luna, Usagi and Ami.
