Hey all! Sorry, I didn't mean to take so long with the update. Things at my work and IRL have kinda hit the fan, so I'm kinda pulling some double work right now. Add in with the holidays coming up and you get an idea. So that means updates may slow down from the month to a month and half...possibly. I can't really predict what will happen. So please, just bear with me.
On another note, I have heard rumors about FF . Net shutting down. Now, I have been asked if its true.
I do not know.
I am not part of the FF . Net's staff nor am I part of anything connected to that. However, while I'm sure the rumor is just that, A RUMOR, I'm erring on the side of caution and strongly, STRONGLY, urge fellow writers and back up their most prized FF works to post on other sites should this rumor turns out true. I do have an Ao3 account, however, I have not posted anything yet...save for a FNAF : SB idea.
So to my fellow writers, take the rumor with a grain of Salt, but err on the side of caution and back up your stories.
My PSA done, onward to the chapter!
The next day dawned bright a clear. Maurice got up, quickly getting dressed, and checking his deck and disk. He picked up his PDA, walking out to see the rest of the Dorm already up. Mindy and Jasmine were adjusting their decks, their faces set in stone. Confused, Maurice checked his PDA for the line up.
He froze seeing who was dueling.
Maurice VS Salome.
Jasmine VS David.
Mindy VS Reggie.
Sartorius VS Sarina.
Amelia VS Claire Swan
Jerome VS Bob
Ian VS Grimsly
Aster VS Lorenzo
Looking at the time when the duels took place, he dashed back in, his own eyes alight with fire. He had two hours before the duels started, plenty of time to readjust his deck and add THAT to it.
He pulled out a box, opening it. Inside was a single card, Synchro, the artwork showing a white shining dragon. He picked the card up, taking out a card from his Extra Deck and adding it to it. He started to adjust his actual deck, frowning.
"This time...this time Sal, I will win." Maurice muttered.
EODGX
Everyone was gathered in the main arena at eight. Maurice stood, a dour look on his face. Jasmine and Mindy looked nervous, but held their own. The SoL came in then, Salome walking with Reggie, David, Sartorius, and Sarina. Amelia, Aster, Jerome, and Ian were behind them.
They took up their places, Sheppard, Kaiba, Pegasus and the headmasters of the four schools joined. Once everyone was in, Sheppard stood.
"Good morning everyone! Welcome to the third round of the GenX tournament. All of you have gotten your duelists, so now its time to reveal your locations!"
Several screens came on, showing various locations. The faces of the assembled shuffled around...
Maurice prayed that they would duel somewhere that wasn't an open field. Salome's deck would be too difficult to best if that happened. Maurice nearly whooped in delight at where he and Sal were to duel. They had gotten the cliff on the west side of the island.
Jasmine and Reggie were dueling at the beach, Mindy and David were near the power station. Sartorius and Sarina were outside of the Obelisk White dorm. The locations chosen, the group all looked at their opponent's.
Maurice gave a grin, Salome just scowling.
EODGX
Maurice was at the location, duel disk strapped to his arm. He waited along with the Ref for Salome to show up. She arrived five minutes before he would be declared the winner by the ref.
"Ready to lose again, Maurice?" Salome sneered, taking out her deck.
"Not this time, Sal. This time...will be different." Maurice said, doing the same.
The pair handed one another their decks, shuffling them. After a few minutes, Maurice handed back her deck and she handed him his. The pair walked to their spots, slotted their decks in and deploying their disks.
"DUEL~!"
Maurice: 8000/Salome: 8000
EODGX
"What did she mean, lose again?" Alexis asked, looking at Bonnie and Anthony.
"Sal gal has always won against Maurice..." Anthony said, dejected.
"THAT is cuz he goes easy on her, Ant." Bonnie pointed out, staring at the screen. "There's a Synchro card he got that is more powerful then anything we ever saw...and if he added it to his deck, he has a VERY good chance of winning."
"If he loves her that much...he put it into his deck." Alexis said, watching on.
EODGX
The pair drew their opening hand. Maurice looked it over, schooling his face. He had Speedroid Terror, Stilts, two spells, and one trap card. He looked at Sally whose face was blank.
"Ladies first, Sal." Maurice said.
Wordlessly, Sally drew. She looked over her hand. She had in her hand, a Black Luster Soldier Ritual monster, Manju of the Ten Thousand hands, a spell, Beginning Knight and Evening Twilight Knight. She looked at the card she drew, seeing it was a field spell. She smirked.
"I play the Field Spell, Gateway to Chaos!"
(Gateway to Chaos – Type/Field/Spell.
When this card is activated: Add 1 "Black Luster Soldier" Ritual Monster or 1 "Gaia The Fierce Knight" monster from your Deck to your hand. Each time a Monster Card(s) is sent from the hand or field to the GY, place 1 Spell Counter on this card for each of those cards (max. 6). Once per turn: You can remove 3 Spell Counters from this card; add 1 Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Gateway to Chaos" per turn.)
All around the pair a tunnel of Light and Darkness appeared. Sally took a card from her deck, adding it to her hand. She smirked, playing Manju of the Ten thousand hands next.
(Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands – LV/****, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/1400, DEF/1000, Type/Fairy/Effect.
When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can add 1 Ritual Monster or 1 Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand.)
The monster that appeared had a body comprised of many hands and arms. Maurice grimaced, seeing her add a card from her deck. She revealed it to be Black Luster Ritual.
"I send my level four Manju to the Grave along with my level four Evening Twilight Knight. I have met the requirements of the ritual."
An altar with a large shield, crossed with two swords and cauldrons appeared, Manju jumping into one of the cauldrons. A young boy wearing armor similar to the legendary monster appeared over the second one. There was a burst of fire and a pentagram appeared. From it rose a human-like monster, green-blue skin decked out in black and gold armor, wearing a shield on its right arm and in its left was wicked curved sword.
GtC – Spell Counters: 2
(Evening Twilight Knight – LV/****, Attribute/DARK, ATK/500, DEF/2000, Type/Warrior/Effect.

If this card is banished from your Graveyard: You can add 1 Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Evening Twilight Knight" once per turn.)
(Black Luster Soldier – LV/********, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/3000, DEF/2500, Type/Warrior/Ritual/*Effect.

"I use one of the two effects my BLS has gained from the sacrifice of my ETK. I banish one random card from your hand." Sally said, smug.
The monster pointed its sword, a beam shooting out. It struck a spell card in his hand, the card flying into his deck box. He grimaced, Sally ending her turn. He drew, looking at his hand. He had drawn Iron Wall, but if he used it before he got his spell back, it wouldn't do him any good. He set it and his other spell down. Then summoned Terror Top via its effect.
"Thanks to Terrortop's effect, I can add one Speedroid to my hand. Next, I'll play this! Speedroid Stilts! Thanks to its effect, I can Special Summon a level four or lower Wind monster from my hand. Arise, Tuner Speedroid Fuki-Modoshi Piper!"
(Speedroid Fuki-Modoshi Piper – LV/****, Attribute/WIND, ATK/1000, DEF/1000, Type/Machine/Tuner/Effect.
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the number of other WIND monsters you control, add 1 excavated card to your hand, also place the rest on the bottom of your Deck in any order. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Level 3 or higher WIND monster you control; reduce its Level by 2. You can only use each effect of "Speedroid Fuki-Modoshi Piper" once per turn.)
"My piper's effect activates! This allows me to excavate the top cards of my deck equal to the number of other wind monsters I control. Since I have Stilts and Terrortop, that means I get two." Maurice said, showing Sally the two cards.
One was a tiny red dragon monster, the other was a spell card. Maurice added the spell card to his hand, returning the other to the bottom of his deck. He revealed the spell card.
"I reveal Platinum Coffin!"
(Platinum Coffin – Type/Spell/Normal.
Select 2 monsters in your deck and banish them facedown. If either Player summons the type matching the two banished cards, add them to your hand.)
A large coffin made of metal appeared, Maurice taking two cards and setting them in. The coffin then went into the graveyard, taking the two cards with it. He looked at his field, shaking his head. He needed Sally to bring out her best monster. Then and only then could he bring out his. But he had something to deal with that new effect anyways.
"I tune my Piper to Stilts! The winds of fate blow in a chaotic wind and announce the arrival of the celebrated beast! I Synchro Summon! Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake!"
Piper became the rings and went around Stilts who raced through them. The tiny stars became a massive stream of light.
(Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake – LV/********, Attribute/WIND, ATK/3000, DEF/2800, Type/Machine/Synchro/Effect.
1 WIND Machine Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters
If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects;
● Destroy all other cards on the field.
● Negate the effects of all face-up cards your opponent currently controls.
If this card in your possession is sent to your GY by an opponent's card: You can add 1 "Speedroid" monster from your Deck to your hand.
You can only use each effect of "Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake" once per turn.)
Kitedrake was a dragon like monster with several 'sails' on its sides for wings. It looped around several times before landing next to Maurice. Said boy pointed at Salome.
"My Kitedrake gains one of two effects when he is summoned; the first is I can destroy every other card other then him."
"What?!" Sally demanded, shocked that Maurice would have such a card.
"But I'm sure you got a monster or card in your hand to revive your BLS...that said, its effect is more dangerous so I'll just negate the effects of all face up cards you have!"
Sally scowled, Maurice playing a facedown card and ending his turn. She drew, looking at the card. She played it right away, revealing it to be another Manju. She gained a Ritual monster this time. She looked at the Kitedrake and smirked.
"While I cannot use the effects of my BLS, I can clear your field! BLS! Attack Kitedrake!"
The monster charged forward, Maurice acting fast.
"I reveal my facedown! Rush Recklessly! I'll use this on my Kitedrake!"
Sally glared as the monster roared, a blood aura appearing around it.
Kitdrake – ATK/3000 → 3700
The monster easily tore through the soldier, causing bits of the sword to fly back and strike Sally.
Sally: 7300
"I use my Manju to attack your Terrortop!"
Several palm strikes later had the monster be destroyed. Sally picked a card in her hand.
Maurice: 7800
"I play Monster reborn regaining my Black Luster Soldier, granted he no longer has his effects from Evening Knight. But that matters little. I'll set this facedown and end."
Maurice drew, frowning. Terrortop was a risk, but he had planned for that. Thankfully, he had a means to get it back out. He revealed his Speedroid Double Yo-Yo.
The monster appeared with a spin, Terrortop appearing next to it due to the monster's effect. He added another card from his deck to his hand thanks to Top. He revealed it.
"I summon the Tuner Monster, Speedroid CarTurbo!"
(Speedroid CarTurbo – LV/***, Attribute/WIND, ATK/800, DEF/1200, Type/Machine/Effect.
If you control a WIND monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, also you cannot activate monster effects for the rest of this turn, except WIND monsters. You can banish this card and 1 "Speedroid" monster from your GY; all WIND monsters you currently control gain 800 ATK until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Speedroid CarTurbo" once per turn.)
CarTurbo was a tiny car with a massive V-8 engine that roared as it sailed onto the field. The engine revved up, the monster becoming stars.
"I tune my level three CarTurbo to my level four Double Yo-Yo! When the winds of change blow, it brings with it the scent of Victory! I synchro summon...STARDUST CRUSADER!"
Everyone on the EoD cheered, seeing the monster appear. They had been told by Chazz how powerful that monster was. Maurice then revealed a spell card.
"Kishido Spirit!"
(Kishido Spirit – Type/Spell/Continuous.
Monsters on your side of the field cannot be destroyed in a battle if the monsters' ATK are equal.)
"Crusader! Attack her BLS!"
The monster roared, charging, fists flying. Thanks to the Spell, BLS was destroyed, but not Crusader. He ordered another attack on her Manju. Sally snarled, covering her face from the attack.
Sally: 5700
Sally stared at Kitedrake as it swung down on her, but revealed her facedown card.
"Shit! Chaos Force!" Maurice swore.
(Chaos Force – Type/Trap/Normal.
Banish 1 LIGHT and DARK monster. Negate 1 attack and then summon from your deck 1 "Black Luster Soldier" ignoring any Summoning conditions. Any monster summoned by this effect gains the following:

"I banish one of my Manjus and Evening Twilight Knight. Not only do I stop your attack...I summon a monster! Arise...Black Luster Solider – Super Soldier!"

*Effects from Chaos Force
This card cannot be destroyed by Battle

The Super Solider was a giant compared to the original. Maurice called off his attack, setting a card facedown. Sally drew, smirking. She revealed another spell card in her hand. Maurice's eyes went wide.
"Chaos Life!"
(Chaos Life – Type/Spell/Normal.
You can only activate this card if you control a 'Black Luster Soldier' monster. Destroy all monsters except for EARTH monsters. Increase your lifepoints by the total sum of the destroyed monsters. You can only activate 1 "Chaos Life" once per duel.)
Kitedrake, Crusader, and Top were destroyed. Sally saw several Chaos flowers bloom in their place.
Sally: 12,900
Maurice was wide open and Sally was gonna take full advantage of that. She played another spell.
"Birth of Chaos?!" Maurice cried out, mentally crying.
(Birth of Chaos – Type/Spell/Normal.
Send 1 LIGHT and DARK monster to the GY. Draw two cards. You cannot Normal Summon or Special Summon monsters other then LIGHT or DARK.)
Sally placed another Evening Twilight Knight and a Beginning Knight into the grave. She drew two cards. She then banished both Knights and brought out...
"Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning!"
(Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning – LV/********, ATK/3000, DEF/2500, Type/Warrior/Effect.

● Target 1 monster on the field; banish it. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated.
● If this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: It can make a second attack in a row.)
The golden armored monster appeared, making the SoL cheer. That monster would lock out his monster zones and thanks to Super, he was about to lose a good chunk of his life points. Sally ordered an attack, the two charging. They slashed at him, making the boy cry out.
Maurice: 1800
"That's all for now." Sally said smug. "You couldn't beat me before, what hope did you have now? Face facts Maurice. You're not strong enough."
Maurice grit his teeth, slowly getting up. He cracked his neck.
"Y-ya done? Cuz I want to end this duel right now if you don't mind!" Maurice called out.
Sally scowled, ending her turn with a facedown. Maurice drew his card, looking at it. He smirked. This was it! The card he needed! He revealed it.
"Graceful Charity? So you get three and throw out two. Big whoop." Sally scoffed, Maurice doing exactly that. He smirked, a glow coming from his graveyard.
"I activate the effect of my Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke. By banishing it from my grave, I revive from my Graveyard...Speedroid Twenty-D!
(Speedroid 20-D – LV/****, Attribute/WIND, ATK/500, DEF/2000, Type/Machine/Tuner/Effect.

When this card is used for the Synchro Summon of a Level 5 or higher Synchro Monster, increase the ATK by 2000, but negate its effect.)
A black orb with several numbers appeared, hovering. Next to it, a guitar appeared. Maurice explained that this was Speedroid Block n Roll from his hand.
(Speedroid Block-n-Roll – LV/****, Attribute/WIND, ATK/1000, DEF/1800, Type/Machine/Effect.
If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: You can Special Summon 1 "Speedroid Token" (Machine/WIND/ATK 0/DEF 0) with a Level equal to the original Level of the Synchro Monster that used this card as material. You can only use this effect of "Speedroid Block-n-Roll" once per turn.)
"Now, I tune my level four 20-D to my level four Block and Roll!"
Salome smirked. She knew what was coming. The twenty sided Die became a rings while the guitar became stars. Here, Maurice began his usual tirade.
"Clustering hope ignites into a shining new star! Light the way and become the path of victory! I Synchro Summon! Stardust Dragon!"
There was a flash of Light and the majestic dragon descended. It roared, Sally activating her face down.
"I activate Chaos Chains!"
(Chaos Chains – Type/Trap/Continuous.
You can only activate this if you control a 'Black Luster Soldier' card. Select 1 monster on the opponent's side of the field. It cannot attack or defend. It's effect is negated. Your opponent cannot offer it as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon. If this card is destroyed, destroy the equipped monster. If the monster is sent to the GY, send this card to the GY.)
Black and white chains erupted from the trap, wrapping around Stardust. Everyone of the SoL cheered, Salome smirking. But before she could taunt Maurice, the platinum coffin returned. It shattered revealing two cards. Maurice took them both, chuckling.
"I knew you would pull that Sal...you always loved to use that kind of strat on an opponent's cards...only one who beat you was Lex. Truth is...I could have beaten you every time we dueled. I just didn't. Why? Well, that's for me to know."
Maurice had a card glowing in the graveyard. It slid out and he played it.
"This is my Stardust Xiaolong. When I synch summon Stardust, I get it from my Grave. Before you ask, Charity remember?"
(Stardust Xiaolong – LV/*, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/100, DEF/100, Type/Dragon/Effect.
When you Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon": You can Special Summon this card from your GY in Attack Position. Each turn, the first time this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed.)
A tiny blue dragon with stars in its eyes appeared next to the bound Stardust. Salome frowned. What was he doing? He revealed a spell card from his hand.
Double Summon.
That spell would allow him a chance to play another monster. He revealed one of the two cards he got from Platinum.
"Meet my Majestic Dragon."
(Majestic Dragon – LV/*, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/0, DEF/0, Type/Dragon/Tuner/Effect.
Cannot be used as Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a "Majestic" monster.)
A tiny red dragon appeared next to Stardust, glowing brightly.
EODGX
In the crowd, Doctor Fudo's eyes went wide. Was Maurice really gonna do it!? That card was one of the most powerful Synchros ever made!
"What good will that do? Those dragons are toothless worms." A SoL member snarled, many agreeing.
But Dr. Fudo knew. There was more to this move.
EODGX
"So what? You still have nothing to go against my BLS's." Sally sneered
"Don't count your monsters yet! I activate my Wind Totem Dragon!"
(Wind Totem Dragon – LV/**, Attribute/WIND, ATK/500, DEF/500, Type/Dragon/Effect.
You can send this card to the GY. Select 1 WIND monster on the field and increase the level of the Selected by 2.)
"I chose my Stardust Dragon!"
Stardust – LV/******** → **********
"I tune my level one Majestic Dragon to my level one Xiaolong and level ten Stardust Dragon!"
The tiny red dragon flew into the air. As it flew, Salome heard the faint strings of a orchestra playing. She blinked; why was she hearing that Ultra Instinct theme from Super Dragon Orb?
The dragon became a single ring, Stardust Xiaolong joining it. Stardust Dragon broke free of its chains, soaring toward the ring. Both Dragons entered it, a large group of stars in the center.
1+1+10 = 12
"Ignite the fires of passion and love with the power of cosmic hopes and dreams! Bring forth the primordial forces that shaped our universes! I call upon the Universe for this Synchro Summon! Light-Speed Acceleration!" Maurice cried out, the power lighting up the darkening skies.
A roar that could be described only as an angel's war cry shattered the silence. Many grabbed their ears, Fudo jumping to his feet in excitement and with tears of joy in his eyes.
"HE DID IT! THAT BEAUTIFUL BOY FREAKING DID IT!" He laughed manically.
"DESCEND! MAJESTIC GALAXY DRAGON!
(Majestic Galaxy Dragon – LV/************, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/5000, DEF/5000, Type/Synchro/Dragon/Effect.
"Majestic Dragon" + "Stardust Dragon" + 1 non-Tuner monster

This card gains 1 additional attack for each Monster returned by this effect. During either player's turn, you can negate the effects of any card your opponent plays. During your End Phase, return this card to the Extra Deck and Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your GY. Double its ATK until the Second End Phase of your turn.)
Majestic Galaxy was exactly what its name was. The dragon had a long serpentine tail, its body was nothing but a massive space of planets and stars. Its eyes were literal galaxies, shining brightly. It had six wings on its back, glowing as bright as a thousand Quasar stars. It's claws were made of Dark Matter, twisting and distorting the light around it. It landed next to Maurice, roaring its roar.
Everyone stared in wide eyed wonder. Several holograms of Maurice's GY appeared.
There was Terror, Stilts, Piper, CarTurbo, Crusader, Stardust Xiaolong, Stardust Dragon, Majestic Dragon, Yo-Yo, 20-D, Wind Totem, Block N Roll, and finally, Kitedrake. All of the cards returned to the Deck and Extra deck, making Sally blink.
"What? What just happened?"
"Galaxy's effect. He returns all of my cards in my Grave back to my deck. He gains one extra attack with his normal one for each monster returned. There were thirteen I counted. That means, fourteen attacks. Next for each Tuner he returned, he gained five hundred points. He returned four."
Galaxy – ATK/5000 → 7000
"Now I reveal my facedown! Imperial Iron Wall!"
"What?! NO!" Sally screamed, suddenly afraid.
She had been so close! Her facedown had been Dimensional Rift! But with Iron Wall in play, it was useless! Maurice smirked, knowing that he had just thrown a massive wrench in her plan. He looked at Galaxy, nodding.
"Alright, Galaxy...what do you say we bring her back!? Target her Envoy first!"
Majestic Galaxy roared, surging forward. The massive dragon wrapped around the golden armored monster, squeezing its coil. The monster groaned before exploding into digital dust. Sally covered her face.
Salome: 8900
"Again, Majestic! Attack her Super Solider!"
Sally looked up, the dragon's mouth bathed in white ethereal fire. She watched the fire crashed down onto her final monster, consuming it and making it cry out. Sally covered her face as the explosion sent her flying back, a cry escaping her lips.
Salome: 4900
"Majestic...end this with this final attack!"
The dragon roared, soaring high up into the air. All around it storm clouds gathered, lightning crackling around. It flowed into the wings of the monster, coursing all around it. From its mouth came an orb of energy. The energy lanced out, striking her, making her go sailing back onto the ground from the backblast of the explosion.
Salome: 0
Maurice rushed up to Sally, helping her up. She looked at him, tears in her eyes. She said nothing, but kissed him deeply. Maurice froze before returning the kiss with gusto. The pair parted, unaware that certain pinkette was bawling her eyes out.
"Sorry, Maurice...I..."
"Sh, sh, its alright now, Sal. Let's head back to the others."
He picked her up like a bride and carried her back, the pair enjoying the warmth of one another.

Sartorius was irritated. He lost another useful pawn. All he had left were the first three and Aster. He had returned after his duel with his sister. Seventeen duelists now remained.

Jim Cook.
Jesse Anderson.
Himself, Sartorius.
Aster.
Amelia.
Jerome.

Sheppard called the remaining seventeen down, smiling.
"An astounding start to the Genex Tournament! However, it seems I miscalculated and-" Sheppard began, but was interrupted.
"Sir?" Maurice asked, walking up.
"Maurice? What's-"
"I wish to drop out. I know my limits. Against Jaden or the others, I won't stand a chance. But...I thank them for this chance to shine."
Sheppared nodded, taking the drop out with a smile on his face.
"Very well. Congrats on the Sixteen. Tomorrow will start the next round and the brackets will be scrambled. You won't know who you are facing!"
That had everyone of the sixteen tense up. They looked at one another. This was to test them against the unknown. Leave it to Kaiba to throw that into the mix. The sixteen were dismissed, everyone heading back to the Dorms to celebrate.
After all, they had one of their own again.
Yeah, I admit it...I messed up somewhere with my maths and got seventeen duelists instead of sixteen. Sorry. I did a complete cop out on this...still, hope you enjoyed the debut of Majestic Galaxy Dragon! Originally, I was gonna call it Majestic Cosmic Dragon, but I think there is a card with a similar name. So to avoid confusion, I changed the name. Hope you all enjoyed!
