The Hikawa Shrine, it was a nice place to visit and by charms and other trinkets that are believed to be filled with spiritual power to ward off evil. In the shrine was a young girl about 14 years old, she had long black hair and purple eyes, she was dressed in a priestess outfit, and she was sitting in front of the fire meditating, and she was getting a vision of something, but it was not clear to her just yet. Since it was stressing her out, the girl decided to go outside and get some fresh air. This girl's name is Rei Hino, she lives at the shrine with her mother and grandfather. Once she stepped outside, she saw a familiar face, it was the face of a little girl who stops by everyday after school. Her name is Mei, "Good Afternoon Rei, how are you?" She asked, "I'm doing well Mei, thanks for asking, how about you?" Rei answered,
"I'm doing well just waiting for the bus," Rei nodded and went to tend to the shrine while may played, time passed, and it was time for Mei to catch the bus. "Bye, Rei, I'll see you tomorrow!" Mei called as she left the shrine, "Ok, be careful on your way home Mei!" Rei called back, then the girl was out of sight. Nobody knew that many crazy things would happen, and another Sailor Guardian would awaken on top of that. Rei's mother Hestia was watching from the porch of the house, she smiled, then she remembered what Selena told her the night before, on how Usagi and Ami were both awakened as Sailor Guardians by Luna and fought 2 enemies together already. 'Rei, my child, soon it will be your turn to awaken and become Sailor Mars once more.' She thought before leaving to head inside.
*In the Dark Kingdom*
A woman with long red hair and matching eyes, she was dressed in a purple dress, and she has a very creepy vibe to her, when she saw Jadeite walk in, she was not happy. "Jadeite, you have had 2 chances already and yet you still failed me, we need the Legendary Silver Crystal to revive our great ruler." She said her voice was as cold as the stone that made up the castle. "I'm very sorry Queen Beryl, but the sailor guardians are too strong, I have a way of stopping them, please give me another chance." He said, "Fine, but if you fail me again, then I will have one of the other kings take your place." Beryl said, Jadeite nodded before he left, and he was going to do things with his own 2 hands.
*At Juban Public Middle School*
"Hey, have you heard of the Demon Bus?" One kid asked, "The Demon Bus? What's that?" Naru asked, confused, "they say that if you get on the bus that passes through the Sendizaka area at 6:00, you will be transported to another dimension and never return!" Umino said trying to scare his classmates, Usagi was off in the distance since she was not in the mood for the Otaku's nonsense, but she did find the story interesting. 'I should talk to Ami and Luna about this.' She thought, but then Naru spoke up. "Guys I also noticed something about Usagi, she hasn't been spending time with me much anymore, instead she is spending time with Mizuno from class 5." Usagi wished that she could tell Naru what was going on when she knew that she could not do that.
"I'm sorry Naru," Usagi said to herself, then she left so that she could meet up with Ami. When she made it to the entrance of the school, she saw Ami waiting for her with Luna. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late I had to try and get out of the classroom, my friends where guarding the door and I couldn't really get out." Usagi apologized, "It's ok Usagi, now that you're here, why don't we ride the bus together before I head to cram school?" Ami suggested, "Sure!" Usagi replied, then they made their way to the bus stop. "So, another reason why I asked you to come with me today is because when I ride this bus around this time every day, I see a girl who goes to the T.A. Girls Academy." Ami said, "Wait, that elite private girl's school?" Usagi asked, "Yes, that one, it's near the shrine." Usagi nodded, then the bus arrived, the friends boarded the bus and right off the bat Ami spotted the girl she kept seeing.
"Look Usagi there she is," Usagi looked towards the girl with long black hair in the T.A. Academy uniform, Luna also saw the girl and got a similar aura from her that she got when she first laid eyes on Ami. 'She could be either the princess or another one of the Sailor Guardians, but the princess's powers were sealed away and won't be awakened until all of the sailor guardians are awakened and have most of their past memories restored.' Luna thought, "I want to talk to her, but I don't know if she wants to be talked to." Usagi said, "I can understand that, hey why don't you stop by the shrine she lives at, maybe you can see what kind of charms they sell." Ami suggested, "Ok, I will do that, I'm sure that her shrine is a nice place to visit." Usagi said before she and Ami talked about the tests that were coming up, then the bus stopped and the girl in the T.A. Uniform got off, Usagi followed with Luna since she heard from Ami that the shrine was at the stop that the girl got off at.
Usagi approached the shrine and was in awe at how cool the place looked, "I have never been to a shrine before, this is going to be a new experience for me." Usagi said as she walked up the steps. The blond walked towards the shop and saw all the trinkets that could be purchased, "Luna, look at all of these charms, maybe I could get my mom one, she has told me that she knows someone who lives here, but she never got the chance to buy a charm." Usagi said Luna saw how the shrine was set up and allowed Usagi to look around, that is when they heard a voice behind them.
"Can I help you?" Usagi turned around to see the girl from the bus, she was in a priestess outfit and had a small smile on her face. "Yes, I want to know more about the charms sold here, you see my mom knows someone who lives here that she went to school with, but she never got the chance to buy one of the charms." Usagi explained, "I see, let me head behind the counter and you can look at the charms." The girl said, Usagi nodded before going back to looking at the charms.
The girl's mother walked out and smiled, "I thought I saw a familiar face," Usagi turned to the woman and smiled, "Usagi how have you been?" She asked, "I'm good," She answered, "Good, I haven't seen you since you were about 3 years old in preschool, is your mother still upset about not being able to buy one of our charms?" Usagi nodded, "Yes she is," The girl who was now behind the counter looked at her mother a little confused. "Mom, you know this girl's mother?" Hestia nodded, "Yes I do, me and Selena were good friends." She said, "How cool, well I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier, I'm Rei, it's nice to meet you." Rei said, "It's nice to meet you too Rei, I'm Usagi, and in my arms is my cat, Luna." Usagi said smiling, then Rei got the same vision that Ami did the first time she met Usagi, it was of the far away kingdom, Hestia knew that Rei would be getting that vision sooner or later.
Rei helped Usagi get the charms she was looking for when the 2 crows in the yard tried to go after Usagi, "Will you two stop that," Rei said getting the crows to stop, "I am sorry about them, they have never done this before." Rei apologized, "Your fine, it was an accident, it's not your fault, well I should get going now, my mom is probably worried about me, it was nice meeting you Rei," Usagi said, Rei smiled and nodded, "Same to you Usagi," she said then they heard voices coming from the wishing tree, Rei turned and went to see what was going on.
"Is everything alright?" She asked, the main woman who was praying turned to Rei, "Oh, Rei, I'm so glad to see you. Mei has gone missing," The woman said, and she was Mei's mother, "She never came home!?" Rei said shocked, "Yeah, I'm so worried about her." Mei's mother said with tears coming down her face, "I'm sure we'll find her, we should contact the police and have them help in the search." Rei said, but the women were not satisfied, they walked past the girls and left the shrine, but Usagi caught what one of them said, "They say that Rei can see the supernatural and find anything just by meditating in front of a fire in the shrine." One of the women said, but Usagi didn't like how they were talking about Rei like that behind her back.
"Rei, the little girl Mei, is she your friend?" Usagi asked, "Yes in a way, she comes by to this shrine every day after school to wait for the bus to take her home, but now there is a rumor about a mysterious 6th hill in the Sendizaka area where there are only 5 of them. I can't say for certain but I'm sure that the rumor about the demon bus is a fake, but I will meditate to see what I can find, please come visit me again and bring your mother too, I'm sure that she and my mom would like to catch up." Usagi nodded before she waved to Rei and she and Luna left the shrine so that they could head for home.
When they arrived at home Selena greeted them, "Hey mom, you will never guess who I met," Usagi said as she sat down at the dinner table, "Who did you meet today dear?" Selena asked, "I met Rei, your friend Hestia's daughter. I stopped by their shrine on my way home from school today. I was also able to buy some charms while I was there." Usagi said smiling as she brought out a bag and handed it to her mother, Selena took it and opened it, she took out the charm that was inside, it was a Hikawa Key Chain, it was something that she has been wanting to get her hands on since she was in a little girl. "You remembered," Selena said, trying to fight the tears. "Yes, I did, and I got myself a matching one," Usagi said, holding up her key chain that had her house key on it. Selena walked over and hugged her daughter. "Thank you dear," She said, "Your welcome mom," Usagi said, hugging her mother back.
"Also, Rei told me that I could visit again, she also said that you could come with me one time so that you and Hestia can catch up from when you two went to school." Usagi said, Selena nodded before they started to enjoy their dinner.
*The next day: At Juban Middle School; the courtyard*
Usagi was sitting with Ami in the courtyard eating lunch the following day, "That's crazy how your mother knows Hino's mom," Ami said, "Yeah I know, I was thinking of visiting again, I want to get to know her and become a good friend that she can count on." Usagi replied as she took another bite of her Rice Ball, "Maybe you could take the bus again so that you could visit her," Ami said, "Yeah I know, but I was thinking of stopping by the arcade beforehand for a snack." Ami nodded since she would be going alongside Usagi.
Luna came through the bushes, and she landed on the bench, "Hey Luna," Usagi greeted, "Hey girls, what are you talking about?" She asked, "I was thinking of visiting Rei again, but not before stopping at the arcade for a snack." Usagi said, the black cat nodded, "Sure, I was thinking about how her mother looked familiar to me somehow, my head was hurting from thinking about it too much." Luna said, "Ok," Usagi said, the girls went back to eating their lunches.
After school the girls headed to the arcade, they got their snacks and to pass the time, Usagi played the Sailor V game and with the help of Ami she was able to beat the one boss that always tripped her up, and since her score went up, a prize came out of the dispenser. It was a pack of communicators, Usagi opened the pack and handed one of them to Ami, they put their communicators on and Luna secretly told them how they worked.
Then the time came for them to part ways, Ami went to Crystal Seminar which was now a better school and Usagi went to catch the bus not knowing who she was about to meet on the bus. When the bus arrived Usagi boarded the bus with Luna in her arms, she found an empty seat in the back. When she looked over at who sat next to her when she sat down, she saw someone who made her heart skip a beat and start to beat fast. Mamoru sat next to her, He noticed that she was next to him, he looked at her and smiled softly,
"Well, we meet again." He said, Usagi smiled, "Yes we do, I noticed that you're not in a tuxedo today," Usagi said, "Well like you I have school as well," he said, "Really?" Usagi then studied his uniform, "Moto Azabu High, huh? The private high school never knew you would go there." Usagi said, Mamoru smiled then noticed that Usagi's cat was about to speak to the blond bunny loving girl. "Your cat, her name is Luna, isn't it?" Usagi nodded, "Yes that is her name," Usagi said, "I see, and I swear I heard her speak to you at least twice." Usagi's face paled a little then she picked up Luna and hid her face in the cat's fluffy black fur. "Cats can't talk you dork." Usagi said blushing madly now, "Yeah sure, have it your way." Mamoru said with a chuckle. 'She is something else,' Mamoru thought before he smiled to himself, then he saw that Usagi got off at the stop of the shrine. Mamoru also knew that Usagi would be transforming into Sailor Moon soon so he had to hurry home and change into his tuxedo so that he could become the heroine's mysterious hero and person who encourages her.
Usagi arrived at the Hikawa Shrine, when she walked up the stairs, she saw the same 3 ladies from the day before where back and they were surrounding Rei and they didn't look happy at all. "I've told you that I can't just sit in front of the sacred fire, meditate and tell you where Mei is, we have to leave this to the police." Rei said, "But you have to, her daughter is missing, you should be able to meditate and tell us where Mei was taken. You're supposed to be psychic, why can't you do this right?" said one of the women, Rei didn't know how to respond. She was feeling like she was forced to do something that was beyond her control.
Usagi had seen enough, she was going to help her new friend. "Hey, how dare you accuse Rei of something she didn't do. If Mei is missing, why don't you file a police report for the missing child? You can't demand Rei to do anything that is out of her control, she is only a teenager still in middle school. Leave her alone," Usagi said standing up for Rei, causing the other women and Rei to look at Usagi shocked. "Who are you? Are you crazy like Rei is?" One of the women asked, "No, I'm not but you can't go around and accuse people for the disappearance of a child and force them to look for that child just because they have a special power that they were born with." Usagi said, and she knew that it wouldn't be easy for these women to understand what was going on.
The women seemed to have gotten the message and left the shrine, Rei sighed, she thought that they would never leave, "I think that it's best for you to leave now Usagi, I know that you wanted to come talk to me but after what happened I don't want you to be forced into this mess." Rei said, "I understand how you feel, but if you want, I can help you." Rei was shocked but she still didn't want to burden Usagi with the responsibility of searching for Mei. "No, I'm good, thanks for asking, but I think it's best for you to leave and come back another day with your mom and then we can talk." Usagi smiled and nodded before she turned around and went to leave the shrine.
Rei sighed, she walked into the shrine and sat in front of the sacred fire and started to meditate. She was going to try and find Mei, when she got a vision that shocked her, she saw that Usagi was about to be taken by a mysterious blond-haired man who was standing next to a bus, the same one that went to the mysterious 6th hill of Sendizaka. 'Who is that guy and why does he have...' Rei gasped, "USAGI!" Rei got up and left the shrine, when she reached the end of the stairs Rei headed in the direction of where the bus went but as she ran the bus pulled up next to her and she saw the guy who was in her vision. The guy who supposedly took Usagi hostage, but before Rei could do anything the man used his power and knocked the black-haired girl out.
Usagi was walking back towards her house when she saw the bus pass by, when she looked in the window, she saw Rei knocked out and that's when she knew that the bus that was passing by was the rumored demon bus. 'Oh no, I have to help her.' Usagi thought, and then grabbed her disguise pen. She tossed it into the air, and it changed her into a flight attendant. "Usagi, why did you have it change you into a flight attendant? How is that going to help save Rei?" Luna asked confused, "Because a flight attendant has to make sure that all the passengers aboard are safe." Usagi replied, then she jumped before the bus disappeared into the secret 6th hill in the Sendizaka area. Luna had no time to follow Usagi, she was caught by Tuxedo Mask, who could make it in time to be there to give Usagi support in the fight.
Luna didn't like Tuxedo Mask, so she jumped out of his arms and ran to find Ami, 'I guess I was late this time, but I believe in you Sailor Moon.' He thought before he left the scene.
*In the Dark Kingdom with Usagi*
'Where am I?' Usagi thought as she walked around the Erie place, 'Tuxedo Mask and Luna can't help me this time, I need to be brave and do this on my own.' She thought then she remembered the communicator, 'I could call them,' Then she opened the communicator and called Ami. "Usagi! Where are you? Luna contacted me saying that you went after that demon bus. Where did it take you?" Ami asked, "I have no idea, but I need to save Rei, whoever was operating that bus took her and I followed. Is there any way that you guys can find me?" Usagi responded, then Luna and Ami started thinking. "Wait, what if she transformed into Sailor Moon? Since her signal is here but it's weak, if she transforms, would that increase the power of her signal and tell us where she is?" Ami asked, "Yes it would," Luna replied, "Usagi transform, we will be there shortly." Ami said, the blond nodded before raising her hand and saying her transformation catchphrase. "MOON PRISM POWER MAKE UP!" Usagi's increased power as Sailor Moon was enough to tell Ami and Luna where she was.
Ami took that time to transform then she and Luna followed Usagi's coordinates, the blond made her way towards a staircase where she would find something shocking.
Jadeite was kneeling beside Rei's unconscious body, "How beautiful," Jadeite said to himself as he ran his hand across her cheek. Then someone walked in, "Why don't you just kill them all?" A voice asked, and it belonged to a man with long brown hair. "Hello Nephrite," Jadeite said, "I want to draw the Sailor Guardians to us, and maybe one of them knows about the crystal. So, I won't kill anyone, mainly this one," he said as she stared at Rei, Nephrite sighed before leaving. Then Usagi made her presence known, "Get away from Rei!" Usagi called, Jadeite looked at her as if he was expecting her.
"Sailor Moon," He said, "Yeah that's my name and I will make you pay for harming Rei." Usagi called out, then Ami and Luna showed up. "Wow, I can take out the both of you at the same time." He said as he attacked them with his ice powers, both girls tried to block the attack but their arms were frozen in place. 'Dang it!' Usagi thought that when Rei started waking up, she saw Usagi as Sailor Moon. "Usagi?" She asked in shock, "this may be crazy to learn but like you, me and Ami and special." Usagi said, then Jadeite saw that she was up and tried to attack her, but she caught his arm. "I will not allow you to harm my friends." She spoke with confidence in her voice, "What can you do as your only human?" He said as she tried to freeze her arm.
"I'm not your normal human, because I am special." She said as she started melting the ice that Jadeite tried to freeze her with. With the heat on his arm Jadeite backed out, then the arrow mark of mars was visible on Rei's forehead. 'I knew it,' Luna thought before she tossed the pen to Rei, she caught it and looked at the back furred cat. "Rei, raise that pen and say Mars Power Make UP!" Rei nodded before doing what she was told.
"MARS POWER MAKE UP!" She cried, then Rei was surrounded by flames, the top of her sailor outfit was the same as Usagi's but she had a red bow with a purple pendent in the middle of her uniform, a red mini skirt was around her waist with a purple bow at the back, red heels where on her feet, she also had gloves just like Ami and Usagi, but the tops by her elbow was red, then a gold tiara with a red gem was on her head where the mark of mars was. When the transformation was over, Rei was now Sailor Mars once again. 'She is one of them?' Jadeite asked himself, Usagi and Ami were happy to know that Rei was one of their allies. "I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and for passion! I am Sailor Mars!" She said as the words came back to her. "In the name of Mars, I will chastise you!" Rei called out the all too familiar catchphrase but was in shock that she was a special warrior just like Ami and Usagi.
'I am just like Usagi and her friend, I can't believe that I'm not the only one who's special.' Rei thought with a smirk forming on her face. "There's another one!?" Jadeite cried out before going to try and attack them again, but due to the heat of the fire Rei released it was strong enough to melt the ice that was on Usagi and Ami.
Usagi saw the opening she needed to attack the enemy, she touched her tiara and it turned into the boomerang and she got ready to throw it. "MOON TIARA BOOMERANG!" She cried as she threw it at Jadeite keeping him in place, then Rei saw her opening and was going in for the finishing blow, she brought out a talisman and fire surrounded Rei, "Evil Spirit! Be Gone!" She cried throwing the talisman at Jadeite, "Curse you, Sailor Mars!" He cried before fleeing, once he was gone Rei turned to Usagi and Ami and saw them smiling at her.
"You are the 3rd guardian; you are Sailor Mars." Said Luna who walked up beside Usagi. Now with the confusion out of the way, Usagi, Ami and Rei helped the missing people back to Sendizaka and waited for them to come to, the girls transformed back into their original clothes before calling for help and waiting for them to arrive. Once everyone came to and was checked up on, Rei, Usagi and Ami left to talk about what was going to happen going forward.
Later that night a plane from a well-known kingdom arrived at the Tokyo International Airport, it was all over the news of the princess from Kingdom D coming to Japan to her villa and show off her family's secret treasure.
