Magic,a concept that was long 'd only hear about it in works of fiction not much elswhere.

But magic is a concept that existed long ago, before both human's and faunes made their marks on history.
Unfournatley magic has left the future generations, instead they were equipped with semblance's and dust useful tools.

But not as useful as magic,a complex and simple concept at the same time.

For instance a normal fire is the result of applying enough heat to a fuel source, when you've got a whole lot of oxygen around. As the atoms in the fuel heat up, they begin to vibrate until they break free of the bonds holding them together and are released as volatile gases react with oxygen in the surrounding atmosphere.

While the creation of fire via magic is simpler, using mana and a reference of how fire is created one could easily spawn fire without a long process.

With magic the possibilities were endless.

As well as dangerous.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

"What do you mean more Grimm are gonna attack!"

"We barely survived just a few of them attacking and now your saying a whole army is on it's way!"

"We should get the hell out of here!"

"Were's that knight let him handle this!"

Emilia couldn't help but slightly sigh as she watched from a podium at the people who were in complete dissary.
Like Keir wanted she had gatherd the villiagers and announced that more Grimm were bound to attack, this of course scared the for good reason, they just experienced first hand how terrfying Grimm could be now more were on their way.
But Keir said he could handle it,normally someone saying they could wipe out a large amount of Grimm in one fell swoop would sound Keir seemed diffrent, his words were spoken in a way that solidified his seemed to be a man of his word.
It was strange she just recently met him and now she was already ready to trust him.

"Good luck,Keir."

With Keir, the knight stood solemnly outside of the villiage near the entrance.
His sword resting on the ground while both his hands clutched the top of it's waited patiently as he stared out into the deep forest with only one path leading into it.
The thought of having to face a large amount of Grimm would not be a pleasant thought for most but Keir wasn't nervous, scared or anxious.
He knew the extent of his own abilities so why would he fear the Grimm? No instead he was quiestion himself.

"Playing hero? Not a good look for me."He mused to was by no means a good person,he only did this for the villiage so he could fell a little better about that was the simple was no saint or hero.

He's done some things he regretted in the past but that was a story for another time.

Now he only wanted to focus on killing the Grimm.

"Finnaly,"Keir mutterd almost relived when he heard the crunching of weatherd leaves and sensed movement within the forest.

He stared into the dark forest as various red eye's lit up within them, and soon the many Beowolfs emerged.
Keir didn't bother counting them, there were alot of them an that was all that many could easily tear through a villiage this small.
He wasn't going to play around he would finish this quickly and was no need to Sally.

So,raising his sword high,a dark aura surrounded the blade.
Then he mutterd something, which to the ears of normal folk would just sound like incomprehensible words.

"Đə§ţřøý"

And then he simply slashed his sword verticaly.
And all seased to be.
A wave of dark energy engulfed the Grimm and a portion of the forest.
None could withstand the force behind the attack and their bodies could not keep itself together.
They evaporated.
The forests itself seemed to not be able to withstand the force as it slightly shook, where once a few dozen tree's stood was now an empty scorched patch.
In just the instant the many Grimm who proweld to the villiage were no more.

Keir lowerd his sword as he stared at the scene before him.
Unfournatley he destroyed a small portion of the forest while wiping out the Grimm, nothing big just a few tree's.

"Doubt the villiager's will mind."Keir concluded as he sheathed his blade and turned to the villiage.

Walking through the villiage he pondered his next course of action.
Using his 'power' wasn't something he wanted to keep doing but if he just attacked the Grimm normally,it would've take much too long and some would easily have slipped past him.
Keir couldn't help but scoff at himself,it wasn't like him to play hero.
Maybe he should've just minded his own business?

"No,I didn't use nearly enough power to attract anyone so I should still be in the clear.I guess I can stay here a while longer before I move on."Keir mutterd to himself.

The life of a nomad should really find a place to settle down in,after his journey concluded itself.

"I'm guessing that was your doing."The voice of Emilia snapped him out of his she stood hands on her hips as if she were expecting him.

"That's right."He confirmed.

"Damn,I knew you said you'd be able to handle it but I didn't think you would set off a mini bomb."She nested.

"Sorry?"

"Relax,it's no big I'm guessing the Grimm won't be bothering us anymore, right?"

"That's right."

"Great! If that's the case then I think this calls for a celebration!"Emilia announced smiling.

"I don't thi-"Keir was cut off with Emillia dragging him by his arm and he just let her.

"C'mon! The chief and the other's will be wanting to hear the good news."

With that the pseudo knight found himself dragged along to God knows where.

Now seated within the inn/tavern of Emilia, witch was now bustling with nearly all the villiager's,Keir couldn't help but sigh.
After Emilia dragged him off,she had announced that he solved the Grimm problem, and surprisingly enough the people believed her easily enough.
That's why a celebration was being thrown within the tavern in his wore happy expressions as they enjoyed their meals, and drinks.

Honestly he never received these much thanks in one night.
The children especially were relentless, asking him how strong he was,if he was a knight,if he was a Huntsman, how he got such a cool know the usual.

But who was he to blame were curious and energetic by nature, hell once upon a time even he was like that.

"Uhm...excuse me."A soft voice got his attention and he looked down to see Emily,Emilia's she looked like a mini version of her mother, completed with the green dress and all.

"Can I help you?"Keir asked as the girl presented him something,a flower by the looks of it.A lily, strange he didn't know they grew here.

"Here!"She said as Keir took the flower."My mom and I like planting flowers,so I wanted to give you say thank you."She said slightly blushing, seemed she was still shy by the looks of it.

"I see...well thanks I appreciate it."Keir said to her,after all he hadn't recieved a gift in a long time.

She nodded her head, before she dashed off in a hurry.

"Am I really that scary looking?"Keir mused to himself but a voice answered his question.

"It it's not that, she's just nervous is all."Emilia said as she stood next to the knight.

"Nervous?What for?"

"She's taken quite a liking to are her knight in shining armor after all."Emilia joked.

Keir raised an eyebrow within his helm, him a knight?Knight were suppose to be loyal and honerable, right?
Or something along those lines.

"But I don't blame her,I've taken quite the liking to you myself."She said with a wink."We could really use more people like you in this world,ya know."

"Thanks."

"Mhm,you know you don't have to might be a small and measly villiage but it is a comfortable place, well if you ignore that Grimm attack."Emilia offerd.

"Thanks for the offer,but I must ."

"No problem, but every now and then you should drop by when your like to get to know you better."She said with a smile.

"Yeah,I'll be sure to visit."

"Then it's a deal."

With that their conversation continued for a small while before Emilia bid him a good night while Keir continued standing in his spot.

The celebration of the people continued, and for a momment Keir felt at peace.
Seeing the smiling faces of so many people put his mind at ease, they were happy.
An emotion he couldn't seem to conjure up,but putting smiles on other's faces when he could was enough for him.

Although it made him sound like a hero,it couldn't be further from the truth.

Keir scoffed, playing hero really wasn't a good look for him.
Most jobs he did were never pretty, some involved killing other's stealing,it didn't matter as long as he got paid.

Saving this villiage, who was he trying to impress?

Keir closed his eye's and cleared his mind,it didn't matter he wasn't going to be staying long anyway.
Pretty soon he would resume his journey,do an odd job for a meager amount of money and then head to the next town or villiage.
Damn,he really ought to settle down somewhere soon.

He thought of Emillia's offer, why had the woman given him that offer?Sure he saved them all but he hardly desverd this much gratitude.

"I'm thinking too much into things."Sighing he step out of the tavern.

He stared up at the sky,the bustling from the tavern noise being heard behind him.

Endless expanse of stars in the night sky, some might consider it a beautiful view but he found it lacking.

"Stars, stars as far as the eye could see."He mutterd boredly.

"Y'know, this celebration is in your should be celebrating with the rest of them."An old voice reached his old man stepped next to him,a bald head and a short grey beard, the villiage chief.

"I know, just needed some fresh air."

"I see, perhaps you should remove your heavy armor that ought to help."He suggested.

"I'm fine this way."

The chief merely hummed as he admired the stars with Keir.
The silence between them remained until Keir broke it.

"What exactly brought you out here?"

"I merely wanted to admire the view, same as you."He responded with a smile.

"I'm not admiring it,just observing."Keir corrected.

"Oh?Is that so,but don't you find that view dazzling?"

"No,from here it just looks like the exact same dot spread throughout the sky."

"I suppose that's an understandable to more important matters,I would once again like to thank you for what you have done for this villiage."

"It was nothing."

The chief merely shook his head.

"You know, small villiages such as ours don't matter in the long run."The chief started,Keir remained silent as he waited for him to continue."All over the world villages the same as ours wither away, destroyed by Grimm or 's a pitiful existence to be had,but one I'm damn well content with."He said with a chuckle."That's why it means so much to me and the others that you stepped in to save our humble villiage."

"You didn't even ask for a reward, and honestly we don't think we could even componsite you for your all in such a short time you did so much for this village."

"I just killed a few Grimm, your making a big deal out of this."Keir responded while looking away.

"Nonsense,I would be happy to sing your praises till the end of my time but I understand that you wish you wish for solitude now,so I bid you a good night."The chief said while Keir have him a nod.

"Oh yes,one more Emilia I don't think I've seen her spirits this a high in quite a really does seem to have taken a liking to you."He said with a chuckle before walking off.

"Liking to me,huh?"Keir shook his head as he turned back to the tavern."Seems unlikely."

NEXT DAY

"Good bye!And good luck on your journey!"Emilia smiled as she saw Keir and the rest of the villiagers who also gave him warm farewells.

"Bye!And please visit soon."Emily's voice reached his ears as she waved at him.

"I'll be sure to do just that."The knight agreed.

"Wait a momment."The villiage chief's said as he emerged from the crowd holding a sheathed sword."It would be a shame if you left without even recieving anything,so we'd atleast like to offer you this."The chief sajd as he handed him the sword.

Keir took the blade, unseating it he began examining it.

It was standard one handed sword, but the blade was a dazzling silver with blue markings ingraved in it and the handle was pure black with a blue decorations around it.

"Excellent craftsmanship.I thank you for this giftl."

The chief smiled as he too thanked Keir again."I hope it will serve you well,we haven't much use for it here since we came across it a while back."

"Wait, here's something from me too."Emilia voiced as she handed him a small box wrapped in cloth."Your sure to get hungry on your journey,so this should help a bit."

"Thanks,I appreciate it."Keir said as he recieved a smile from Emilia.

With that the pseudo knight continued his journey, off to the next villiage or town.
Walking though the road with his newly acquired sword latched onto his back he ponderd about his next move.

He was already halfway thought the forest so he should come across another village if he was lucky.
But he needed to think about his next move.

But before any thinking could be done his stomach growled.

"Seems I'm hungry."He mutterd before taking a look at the clothed box in his hand."Might as well take a break."

Keir walked to a tree with enough shade before taking a seat on the ground, his back leaning against it.

Removing his helmet,he set it next to him as he placed the box atop his knees.
Opening it the delightful aroma of beef stew filled his nostrils, the box seemed to be made to carry food so it shouldn't be spoiled.

Taking a spoon that was also provided he began eating.

The taste was divine,Emilia sure knew how to cook.
It didn't take long for him to chow down rest of the boxes contents.

Huffing out a satisfied sigh,Keir leaned further on the tree as allowed himself a moment of respite.
The slight breeze of the wind hitting his face was satisfying,he rarely took of his helmet so he enjoyed the feeling when he could.

"How long have I been wearing this thing infront of others?"Keir questioned,as his eye's darted to the helmet at his side.

He took it in his hand as he rested his chin on his knee.
Those hollow slits staring back into his own eye's.
Although he might've made it sound like there was a grand reason he was wearing it to Emilia the reason was not really anything big he simply didn't like his face.
He happend to look like the people he despised the most.

Sighing he put on the helmet once again, hiding his face from the world.

"That's enough resting."

He stood up from the ground as he began walking again, with no real destination in wasn't on any path so finding the next villiage or town would prove difficult.

"Oh well,guess a little exploring wouldn't hurt."
