Spartans are the protectors of humanity. Headhunters are the sword of humanity. Both are required to fight for their species unto their dying breath. However, when death finally comes is that duty maintained? Does it continue as long as the mind can remember it? Regardless of the answer, a Headhunter must find a way to continue his duties. Even if he is no longer human.

26. Important update

I've been debating a change in this fic's storytelling for some time now. In particular, the meat and bones of the Lucifaad arc, amongst other discrepancies. In short, I want to rewrite the fic from the beginning of House Kimaris's entry into the civil war and onwards.

One of the biggest things that have been bugging me was how blatantly similar the lucifaad arc was too arcane, and I want to get away from that by redoing it in a more original manner. This means that Caitlyn, Vi, Ekko, Silco, and other Arcane-based characters will most likely be gone from the story and replaced by original or current characters already in the DXD universe.

This is not a decision I take lightly, considering we are almost at the end of the arc, but I feel like it's for the best from a story standpoint.

I am hoping to post the new chapters by Saturday before I go out to celebrate my 25th birthday.
