I was to return to Majestic's agency in the middle of the week to continue the investigation. It seemed I was not the only one. Many of my classmates had been involved in similar investigations, and were much preoccupied with their work studies. With the exception, of course, of Bakugou and poor Todoroki. One day they both came back into class after a weekend of remedial training with their faces covered in bandages.

"Whats up with Bakugou? Another fight?" Ashido asked Jirou and Kaminari as we sat down.

"Try to keep up girls," said Kaminari. "Have a look at Todoroki."

"Wah! What a waste of those good looks!" cried Ashido as she turned to look at him. "What happened?"

"Guess the provisional license course is running them ragged," said Jirou.

"I didn't know it'd be so physically grueling!" said Kaminari.

Bakugou yelled out "Enough gossipping ya jerks!".

Iida called out then "Class is about to begin! Where are Uraraka and Tsuyu?"

"Excused absences, president," I reminded him. Off doing internships with Ryukyu.

"Looks like the boys are missing Kirishima," added Jirou.

Further up in my row, Mineta was bothering Midoriya. "How's the work study, Midork-study? You really working with some chick in a pervy costume?"

"Uh huh."

"How long're you doing it for? Can I join?" Ashido asked him.

"Uh huh."

"STOP TALKING BOUT HOW YOU'RE GETTING AHEAD OF ME!" yelled Bakugou.

Midoriya said nothing. He had been unusually quiet lately.

Jirou too seemed to have some of her work study weighing on her. She seemed more uptight than usual, almost irritable, snapping at Kaminari at every given opportunity, and having trouble concentrating on our tutoring sessions. Iida was rather subdued and forgetful. Uraraka and Asui seemed exhausted, and Midoriya hardly spoke. Kirishima and Ashido too both seemed more serious. Only Kaminari remained as spirited as ever.

"I just worry that I'm not doing enough," Jirou admitted to me when I asked her about her moods. "All this villain activity, and I can't do anything about it but sit around till I'm called in."

"Well, I'm sure once you get there, all that will matter is that you do your best," I told her. She gave me a grudging smile. "You're just saying that to make me feel better."

"Yes. Is it working?"

Another smile. My phone buzzed. It was Tokage. "Yaoyorozu, you ready?"

"Yes. I'll be there in a moment." I turned back to Jirou with a smile. "Duty calls. I'll see you later for tutoring. Perhaps we'll be able to cover quantum physics today!" I blushed a little when I realized how exited I sounded. "I enjoy those," I said, apologetically.

"It shows."

I arrived after school at Majestic's agency, alongside Tokage, and reviewed what we knew about the case in my head. We had been going to look into a murder case, and the suspect was Miri Uchigawa of the great Uchigawa family. On the way, we'd been sidetracked by an attack by a villain named Pride, who Tokage and I had struggled to defeat. She had been freed by water.

"That's about the summary of it," Majestic nodded as Detective Hiyashi stood with her arms folded, avoiding looking at us. "And that gives us at least two cases for the Majestic agency to tackle. The murders and the sins villains."

"Pardon me, sir," I raised my hand, "But is there any chance the two could be connected?"

"What gives you that idea?" snapped Hiyashi.

"It simply seems a strange coincidence, that is all," I explained. "It's not a working theory. But there didn't seem to be any reason to that Pride woman's attack, other than causing chaos. It happens so serendipitously while we're on our way to interrogate Uchigawa, in a low-crime neighborhood..." I stopped, saying it aloud made me realize how absurd it sounded.

"Well," began Majestic, but to my surprise Detective Hiyashi said, "That's something."

Majestic stared at her, then cleared his throat. "Well, we'll get to that later. Anyway, the murder mystery is mostly for the police to take care of. The villain in the Noh theater mask is a bigger deal. There have been rumors incidents popping up, reported on HN, of similar villains, also named after the seven deadly sins, around Japan. They've been causing a lot of trouble lately. And we can't seem to figure out how these attacks are connected. They appear to be at random, practically. No clear pattern and no explanation."

Hiyashi nodded. "Only the masks and the names in common."

"Right. Ours was just one of a number of incidents where this Pride villain has been spotted. Her quirk allows her to cause people around her to lose their equilibrium. In a sense, she makes everyone else around her lesser. There are two individuals with this quirk in Japan. One of them's a man. Now, I sppose he cold be wearing a convincing disguise and voice modulator, but we are looking to see if he has an alibi. Top suspect is a missing persons case named Hokori Oshiro. Her quirk matches the description and she'd be the right height and look." HE passed us a case file on Ms. Oshiro. "We're one of a few agencies who've had run-ins with her, but you two were the first to take her down. You got plenty of info on her, so we're going to appear as the experts on Pride.'

"Appear?"

"Yeah. The agencies who've had contact with these Seven sins are planning to meet up and share information. Possibly team up to take them down if it becomes feasible."

I felt rather excited. IT was rather like a hero convention!

"Get cracking on those files. No taking notes - trying to keep the information secret. Got it?"

"Got it, sir."

"Once we're done with that we'll go on patrol. Good work, girls."
