Chapter 23

Eren, Katrina, Peter, and Odom are glaring at Reiner and Bertolt, with Aya still in Reiner's hand. Mikasa says, "If only...if only I'd cut off their head, that was a perfect chance! But why? That was it! There won't be another chance!"

Odom flies towards her and says, "Mikasa, they are Titan shifters, we are not going to kill them just yet. We need their powers, and Aya can take away their powers like Annie!"

At the same time, Bertolt tries to break the wall, as Hange yells, "Everyone! Jump away from the wall!"

Reiner throw Aya to Bertolt, and he put both Ymir and Bertolt into his mouth. "Aya! You damn..." Eren yells in anger.

"This can't be..." Historia gasps in horror.

"All soldiers, prepare to attack! We're going to defeat the Colossal Titan! It's a threat to all of humanity! Swarm the huge bastard!" Hange yells as they all going to attack. As they are going for the nape, it lets out steam that causes the scouts to get back. Peter approaches the Colossal Titan as he blasts the water at Bertolt, causing it to be in pain.

"Only the Ocean Titan can attack the Colossal Titan, leave this dude to me." Peter says as he fights the Colossal Titan.

As for the others, they can only wait since they don't have any idea to approach the Colossal Titan. Katrina says, "Eren, I'll help the others with my powers."

Then Eren and Odom are attacking the Armored Titan as Katrina rushes towards Connie and the others, creating small snow and cool water to make some ice bags for the scouts.

"Where are Reiner and Bertolt? They don't have their ODM gear either!" Connie yells. "Please, go find and help those two!"

Reiner manages to punch Eren as he is slammed to the wall, but Odom creates a giant wind to hit Reiner, but the Armored Titan manages to stay still on the feet.

"No, I can't give up. Give Aya back!" Eren yells as he gets back up, Mikasa also tries to attack, but like Eren and Odom's attacks, they do nothing.

"Damn it. We really need Ymir's powers..." Eren mutters in anger as he tries to harden his fists as he remembers the fall of Shiganshina. Then he tries to punch Reiner, but Reiner manages to punch back at the same time. Mikasa notices it and she quickly dodges the way.

"Eren!" Odom manages to grab onto Eren as he jumps into the air, and he tries to kick Reiner to the ground. Then he roars and grabs Reiner in the same way Annie did and threw him to the ground.

"That's Annie's technique..." Armin says.

Odom also uses his wings and his arms to break through the Armored Titan's skin.

"You're not going away from this!" Eren yells as he manages to break Armored Titan's hand. Armin yells, "Eren! Odom! Can you hear me? Run away! Get closer to the wall! Their goal is to kidnap and take you and Aya away! We've gotta escape and prevent that from happening!"

Odom nods as he quickly flies into the air, Mikasa says, "But Armin, Reiner isn't going to let us do as we please!"

Reiner gets back up and Eren says, "I'm not leaving until I get Aya back!"

Then he rushes back to the wall as well, but Reiner is walking towards them. Katrina and Peter are still fighting the Colossal Titan, Peter says, "Damn it... Bertolt is not moving and I'm not going to get Aya and Ymir out of his mouth..."

Katrina says, "What are we going to do now..."

Just then, Reiner charges at Eren and knocks him down to the ground. But Eren is still struggling.

At the same time, Aya wakes up inside Bertolt's mouth, she notices Ymir by her side. "Ymir!" Aya grits her teeth. "Damn it... why isn't Eren inside me... I could've taken Bertolt's power as well!"

Then he tries to open his mouth, but the heat causes her to stay back. "Damn it... it's so hot...no, I can't give up!"

At the same time, Eren almost breaks Reiner's hardened body, but Reiner still manages to get back up and he is roaring.

"He's calling the Titans!" Hange yells. Just then, Reiner calls the Colossal Titan, who slams into Eren.

"Eren!" Katrina, Peter, and Odom yell in horror, as the steam causes everyone to be sent flying. Reiner also tore Eren's nape off and both Reiner and Bertolt managed to grab the unconscious Eren, Ymir, and Aya as they make their escape.

"Eren! Aya!" Armin yells in shock.

The news of nothing happening to the wall is getting to the MPs, Commander Pyxis, Erwin, and Levi.

"We have some bad news. We were heading back to Trost to give our report when we ran into the Scout unit led by Section Commander Hange. Along with them, there were recruits from the 104th without their equipment. And it turns out, three of them were Titans!"

"What are you talking about?" Jean asks. "Are you saying there were more?! Three more of them?! Who was it?!"

Erwin says, "Jean, relax. What happened when their forms were revealed?"

"The Scouts engaged the Colossal and Armored Titan in battle. But by the time we joined up with them to fight... it was all over!"

And back at the wall, Mikasa, Armin, Katrina, Odom, and Peter are sitting there as Hannes approaches them. "Unbelievable. What a disaster. Luckily we were above so we got away unscathed."

"Everyone underneath got blasted by steam and wind." Hannes says. "There's nothing we can do."

Peter says, "With Katrina and I providing the cold water, I'm sure they'll be fine for sure."

Katrina says, "As for Mikasa, I don't see any bad wounds, so I'm guessing it's a concussion."

"I see... You guys haven't eaten, have you?" Hannes asks. "I'll get you something."

Armin remembers back when the seven of them were kids where when he had bought some bread to eat rather quickly the three bullies who always picked on him throughout his childhood had stolen it from him and the six of them managed to defeat the bullies with ease.

Mikasa wakes up and asks, "Where are Eren and Aya?"

"Mikasa! Calm down!" Katrina says, but Mikasa is preparing to leave. Odom stops her and says, "Mikasa! We don't know how badly you're injured!"

She sees some Titans down below, and Mikasa asks, "Where are they?!"

"Eren, Aya, and Ymir were taken. They're gone, Reiner and Bertholt abducted them. Eren... lost to the Armored Titan. It's been five hours since then." Katrina asks.

"Is anyone...chasing them?" Mikasa asks.

"No..." Peter says.

"Why?" Mikasa glares at the others. "Aya is not a Titan! Why did they grab her as well?!"

"We don't know, but all the horses are on the other side of the wall." Katrina says. "In order to rescue Eren, we have to wait for lifts to come so we can move the horses."

"Odom, can't you take us to them using your Titan powers?" Mikasa asks.

"I've tried searching the area, but I couldn't find them. My only guess is that Reiner and Bertolt had turned back into their normal forms and they were hiding somewhere."

Mikasa frowns, "No way..."

"Section Commander Hange and the other officers are too injured to move." Armin says. "To even send out a small scouting party, we're going to need more soldiers than this. Soldiers with experience. Understood?"

Mikasa frowns as she holds her head, thinking that she must have hit her head really hard. "When Eren and Aya were taken by Annie, I chased them right away. And fighting alongside Captain Levi, in the end... we were able to get him back. But... if it's already been five hours..."

She looks at the scarf. "Hey, Armin. Why? Why do Eren and Aya always go somewhere far away from us?"

"Yeah, now that you mention it... Eren and Aya have always run off on their own, sometimes they even bring Katrina, Peter, and Odom with them, maybe because of their Titan training..." Armin says, "I guess that's just the way things are meant to happen... for Eren and Aya at least..."

"But we are comrades..." Katrina mutters. "And they are my family... We should have been by their side..."

Hannes arrives and gives them some food to eat, and then they talk about their past with the seven of them.

"So I've heard that Aya has managed to find her father in the Survey Corps, huh? Good for her." Hannes says.

"Yeah, and we're actually in his special squad because only he has the power to stop us when things go wrong." Peter says.

Then he also talks about how Eren didn't care if there was more than one opponent around him if he had the strength he'd use it, not to mention if he and Aya both teamed up then they'd have no problems with escaping with such ease that they could get out of there alive and together. And Hannes also wants to join in the fight to save both Eren and Aya.

With the fire in their eyes, Armin, Mikasa, Katrina, Peter, and Odom are eating their food.

The others arrive on horseback riding right up on the walls, led by Commander Erwin. Katrina walks to Historia and says, "Christa. I'd prefer if you stayed back, but..."

"No matter what you say, I won't." Historia says. "I refuse to wait here when Ymir was taken away. You guys should know how I feel."

"Christa has a point, Katrina." Connie says. "We have plenty of reasons for chasing after them. One of which I still can't believe... that Reiner and Bertolt are our enemies. I've gotta hear it straight from their mouths."

When Erwin gives the order to deploy the lifts, Hange, despite her injuries, crawls and informs them she needs to give Erwin and the others what little information she has thought up of right now.

"We should head straight for it." Hange says. "Though it's not like they have a way to hide the Armored Titan's footsteps, but... I think that's where they're headed."

"Why's that?" Erwin asks.

"It's a gamble, but even if they have the strength to change into Titans, the other Titans outside the wall might still be a threat. Especially after all that fighting and the fear of injuring Aya more than she got. They might not be as bad off as Eren, but I'm sure they're exhausted." Hange says. "Like how Annie was old cold for a while. Let's assume for now that their destination is somewhere outside of Wall Maria. Considering the distance they'll have to cover, we can assume they'll need to recover their stamina. This means...they'll want to rest somewhere where Titans are unable to reach them. At least until nightfall when Titans can't move."

In the forest, Eren and Aya slowly wake up, and Eren finds that his arms are gone but the steam is slowly healing, Aya finds that her ODM gear and her weapons are gone, and they turn to see Ymir who almost finish healing.

"Oh, Eren and Aya. You're awake?" Reiner asks.

Then the other scouts ride their horses as they are going to get Eren, Aya, and Ymir back before nighttime.

Here is another chapter, and I decide to let Eren and Aya captured by Reiner since I have something planned in the next chapter. I hope you like this chapter.
