The Not-So-Swiss Family Slayers
By (who else?) Yami-chan
The storm tossed and turned the small boat as it made its way to the new colony.
Lina sighed and made her way to the side of the ship, letting out yet another meal. The rest of the Slayers looked away and watched for signs of human life.

Yami-chan: ::turns the Slayers DVD off:: I wish I were in that dimension.
Xellos: ::pops up:: Be careful what you wish for, dear.
Yami-chan: What the- ::teleports away with Xellos::

The Slayers were too busy with watching for land in sight to notice Xellos teleport either away or back, and no one seemed to see the newcomer.
Lina finally managed to pull herself away from the side of the ship and yelled for the others to go below deck. They followed, soaked to the skin, and met her as she was beginning to cast a lighting spell.
"Alright, now this looks pretty- Xellos, who is that?" Lina said through chattering teeth.
"Oh, this is an author from the twenty-first century." he replied, giving her the usual trademark smile.
"Really?" Zelgadis said, not trusting Xellos, as usual.
"Yes. Her name is Yami-chan."
"Yami-chan?"
"Yes."
The entire group stared at the newcomer, noticing the dark red hair, reading glasses, blue plaid pajamas, and P.E. tee-shirt. She was pretty strange, all right.
"Why did you bring her?" Lina asked. She was especially amazed by the DVD remote the girl held.
"Oh, I thought she might liven up this little ficcie. Plus, she likes to write about Slayers." Xellos smiled yet again.
"This is a fic? Who's writing it?" Amelia asked.
"Why, this girl right here."
"Then it's a self-insertion?" Gourry asked. For once it seemed that he had a brain, and it was working.
"Apparently." The girl finally spoke up. She was blushing, and the Slayers noted that she had an accent of some kind.
"Oh, so that's why we're speaking in English!" Gourry said. Lina gave him a sound smack upside the head.
"Yes, it would seem so." Xellos said.
"So, Yami-chan. What is this fic about?" Zelgadis asked.
"Well, I'm reading 'The Swiss Family Robinson', and I figured I might make a parody starring you guys." she said, still blushing.
"So, you're going to be turning this in for a book report later." Amelia said. Apparently she could read Yami-chan well.
"Um... yeah, I guess." she shifted a little.
"Well, then, what characters are we supposed to play? Last I recall, there was one female character, and five males. Last I checked, there's more than one girl." Xellos said.
'Always count on him for help', Yami-chan noted to herself, a frown on her face. "Um, I was going to have this kind of far-fetched. You guys all play the Robinsons," she paused, as the Slayers looked at each other, amused, "and that's as far as I am. I'm on, like, Chapter 20."
Everyone face-faulted at this. This would be bad. A lousy, high-school girl in blue pajamas was going to write about them for a book report and she hadn't even finished the book yet. As Amelia would put it, 'Scary!'.
"Well, maybe we should move on." Yami-chan said," by the way, I don't own you guys."
"We know that." Zelgadis said.
"I know, just thought I'd make it clear. Right, well on with the ficcie!" Yami-chan said.
Everyone else just sighed and sat down.
