Dear Diary,
I've been staying in the mall a few weeks now, it's been so cool. I really like the others.
I mean yeah I do dislike some people at times but who doesn't? Anyway...I've fallen for someone!
It's Jack, we got talking last week and I found I really got on with him. I haven't told him...or
anyone else, I'm going to have to tell someone... I mean I don't know what to do! I better go.
Beth Rose closed the diary, left it on the desk and walked out of her room and up to the cafe.
She loved the mall and everything about it, even the noise of the grills being moved by Jack
and Dal early in the morning, especially when it rained too. Beth sat in the cafe waiting for
her water to boil to make a coffee. Amber and Pride then walked in and Amber said :" Hey Beth,
how are you?" Beth shrugged, half smiling, she then replied: "I'm ok I guess. Kinda bored but
that's it." she paused for a few seconds and then continued: "Amber, Pride can I have your
advice?" Both Amber and Pride looked at each other, then to Beth and smiled. "Sure, we'll help
if we can." Pride replied. "Thanks guys, it's just I really like...this guy but I just don't know
what to do, I mean I haven't told him. I just can't find the words. And then, even if he did
know, he might not like me back." Beth finished, taking a deep breath, Pride and Amber both
laughed. Amber then replied: "Firstly, you need to stop worrying. Who is it? If we knew then
we might be able to tell you how to approach them." Beth went bright red and hesitated for a few
seconds, then replied: "It's Jack." Amber and Pride both sat down and thought for a while, Amber
finally said: "Well I think you should try and spent a little time with him and let him get to
know you, then see how it goes." Pride nodded in agreement. "Thanks you two, that really helped."
Beth replied. "I'm going to go talk to Jack now. See you later."
Jack was working on another invention, Beth Rose knocked on the door and Jack told her to go in.
"Hey Beth, what can I do for you?" Beth hesitated for a few seconds and walked a few steps closer
to Jack. "Um, well...I was...er...wondering if you...wanted to do something later. If you're not
busy I mean." Jack smiled, turning a little red, he replied: "Yeah sure, what were you thinking
of?" Beth shrugged. "We could just go for a walk or something, unless you have any ideas."
Jack shook his head "No, no that sounds great. So what time do you want to go?" Beth shrugged and
replied: "Whatever time you want, just come and knock on my door for me." Jack nodded. "O.K.,
Beth, see you later." Beth nodded and went back down to her room. Jack had decided to go and see
Amber.
"Hey Amber, can I talk to you?" Jack asked as he sat down. "Yeah sure, what's up?" Jack looked
kind of confused. "I think I like Beth." This made Amber looked confused. "What do you mean?" Jack took a deep breath and tried to explain: "Well, I mean Beth and I get on really well and I think I'm starting to like her like her." "So What's the problem Jack?" Amber asked. "I don't know if she likes me, I mean she asked if I wanted to go out later, and I said yeah. But maybe she just wants to be friends." "Jack, no she doesn't, she likes you too, she came and asked my advice about a few minutes ago." Jack smiled and said: "She did? Now what do I do?" "Meet her later and then later on you could maybe tell her how you feel" Jack nodded, looking impressed by that idea. "Thanks Amber, see you later."
Jack said before returning back to his room to choose a shirt to wear.
