Shall We Dance

Shall We Dance?

A/N Thank you for the reviews for my other stories. I am still suffering from writer's block. They are in their sixth year.

"Ron, I think you're getting it, you've got it!" Hermione said exhausted but happy. For the past three hours she had been teaching one of her best friends to dance in an empty classroom.

"Thanks 'Mione!" Ron said hugging her, "Now let's go have dinner."

They walked down to dinner and met up with Harry and Ginny and they started talking about an upcoming Hogsmeade visit.

2 months (and a letter from Vikky) later.

"I thought you'd broken up with him!" Ron shouted at a very red Hermione.

"I have! That doesn't mean he can't still write to me!" she shouted back defensively.

"Yes it does!" he shouted back, equally red.

"Ron, why don't you just think about why you're really bothered, you insufferable, pig headed git!" she screamed and then she stormed up to her dormitory.

"There you go. Two years and she still doesn't get it!" he said, talking to himself. And then he stormed up to his dormitory.

The next day.

"Hermione? Can I talk to you for a minute?" Seamus asked at breakfast.

"Yeah sure." She said turning around and smiling.

"Will you go to the Christmas Ball with me?" he asked her grinning.

"Okay." She said and then she left for Hogsmeade.

Meanwhile

"Ron guess what! Herm's going to the ball with Seamus!" Ginny said running over to her brother.

"So?" he said, "Lavender? Will you go to the ball with me?"

"Sure!" she replied giggling.

The Christmas Ball.

"I'm just going to get a drink!" Lavender said.

"Okay!" Ron replied distantly.

Across the room Hermione and Seamus were just sitting down. As Ron watched Seamus get up and go for a drink he decided to go and talk to Hermione.

"Hey Herm!" Ron said dreading what was coming next.

"What do you want?" She said angrily.

"I'm sorry! Of course he can still write to you. I thought about what you said, and I realised the only reason I acted like that was because I was jealous." He said mumbling the last bit.

"Pardon? I didn't quite catch the last bit." She said smiling.

"I was jealous because I like you!" he said louder.

"See that wasn't so hard, was it?" Hermione said smiling up at him.

He smiled back at her and offered her his hand.

"Shall we dance?" he said confidently.

"We shall!" she replied taking his hand and starting to dance.

"You dance well!" Hermione said happily.

"I had a good teacher!" was all he said before kissing her.

At the drinks table.

"I'm so proud!" Lavender said, wiping away an imaginary tear.

"Just think, them getting together is all down to us!" Seamus said.

Offering her his hand, "Shall we?"

"Why of course my good sir!" Lavender replied taking it and they started to dance the night away.
