Title: Silvered Respite
Author: Cristof Wagner
Rating: PG-13
Category: X-Men: Evolution
Genre: Angst / Drama
Status: unknown
Disclaimer: I do not own the X-Men: Evolution or the characters thereof. In short the charters and show belong to Warner Brothers and a host of others including Marvel Comics, but the plot belongs to me. Oh well, I glad I'm not making any money off of this.
A/N: Just so you reader know this was not my original intention, but on a whim last night I completely scrapped the original idea for this story and wrote another. I feel that Pietro doesn't have much of a personality or feelings in the show so I wrote a fic where he does. This is really short.
~~~Pietro Maximoff~~~
Pietro Maximoff, Bayeville's answer to the lack of a race track, was for the moment quiet, still, and relaxed. In one of his rare private moments he could be calmed and move at speeds less than ninety miles per hour. It was also something the others had no knowledge of... before school most days he would sit outside the Bayville High School football stadium and watch the sun rise. For most people it was just the sun and it was coming up but Pietro found a kind of joy in observing the source of one of light (one of two things that touched Bayville faster than him). Soon enough this moment would be over -that stillness between darkness and light and the outside world would intrude again, and he'd be forced to become the hyper speed freak that the world and the 'brothers' expected to see in his place. Lately though he'd been staying a bit longer to be with his thoughts.
{Why did she leave us? Why couldn't I have convinced her to stay}
Such thoughts had been pestering him since about a week after she betrayed the brotherhood and joined Xavier's team. For the life of him he didn't know why she would have left them for those ...those... 'wannabe humans'.
{Did she want to be with the other two mutant females of Bayville close to her own age?
no that couldn't be it...}
The rays of the rising sun cascaded over the horizon as once again Pietro resigned himself to the fact that Rogue was gone, and she wasn't going to be coming back -or- even speak with them on some 'normal' cordial level.
{Well Rogue I hope you're happy.}
A/N: Well do you think I should continue this?
