Authors note: This is one of my weekly-snapshot fics, Does anyone actually read them? The title is latin for 'to hurt throug betrayal' (I think) Well it doesn't matter I have four episodes left and four Characters to do so this just might work.

Life changes in seconds, in moments, and I guess it changes in motion. Sometimes people change like that too, so quickly, but sometimes so subtly. I thought she would be broken when I came here, but I knew I had to come because I knew that she was torn. I see now that I underestimated her strength, but most of all I underestimated myself. I don't know if Dante's right about me. Maybe what he says is the truth, problem is it doesn't make anything easier. Just now I'm a friend to her, one of the few allies she has.
Or maybe we're not so few, I see that Irons protects her, but why? He won't tell me the truth, and she never will.
She keeps secrets just like me, she keeps things from me, like I do to her. It's a painful truth, but a truth none the less. I wish this world was different, that life could be less difficult for the two of us. That fate could be less cruel, and history less complex.
In another lifetime perhaps, maybe in another time, but for now that's just a dream. She smiled when I came in, not one of her bittersweet smiles, but a full genuine smile. She's healing thank goodness, but that makes me worry because now that her wounds have healed, I'm just waiting to open a new one, waiting to betray her. I guess you could say that I'm waiting for the one thing I'll always regret.
