The Painting

Scene: Factory

I look at the painting of them together. She looks lovely. Damn her. This woman should not be affecting me this way. Yet, I let her affect me.

The girl is wearing a white dress. She's wearing it, in such a beautiful way. Luv, please stop... White, the color of purity.

What purity she has, her grace... I wish she could have been my white queen.

That's what she should have been. Yet, it was not meant to be. Those jade eyes of hers. What is it about her in this painting?

Her eyes haunt me. She is looking straight at me. Buffy, why did you have to be so lovely in this painting?

Everything is so well placed. You are like a princess in the painting that captures your essence. Why are you unnattainable to me?

Slayer. Buffy. You shine so brightly because you are a true beauty. Those long strands of blonde hair make me want to hold you. I can never have you though.

We were/are mortal enemies. For some strange reason, I felt an attraction to you. I felt it the first moment, I laid my eyes on you, pet.

It was an unspoken passion, yet now...it's too late. I curse myself.

You belong to him. Everybody can see the way...even I who love you. Luv, Slayer, Buffy, I'm a damn fool for not telling you how much I love you.

Why? Why? Why? I say to myself. The look in your eyes, as you see him...What a stupid fool I am. Yes, I am a fool for never saying how I felt aloud to you. The way you and my sire look at each other makes me jealous. It should have been us pet, Buffy.

I love you Buffy. You will never know the depths of my feelings. Never will I get to experience your passion for life or love.

Spike then began to cry as he walked out of the room. Away from the painting of Buffy and Angel together. He then began to cry.

The End.
