"Komachi Kuramitsu and Shaikiria Heuro must report to the principal's office immediately!" the intercom shouted. A while classroom of eyes turned to stare at the two who seemed to be in trouble. Shaikiria smiled nervously as she stepped out of the classroom, trying to ignore the other students' eyes. Komachi followed her out.
"What in the world could you have done this time to get us into so much trouble?!" Shaikiria grumbled. Being best friends with one of the klutziest students in the whole Junior Galaxy Police Academy was definately not an advantage.
"Why do you think we're in trouble, Shaikiria? The principal might just want to talk to us and say 'hi'!" Komachi said with her usual optimism.
"Yeah, and maybe he wants to give us gifts for no good reason other than we won some huge contest," Shaikiria replied sarcastically. She didn't want to put up with Komachi when her nearly spotless record was at stake!
"Wow! That would be cool! Maybe he'd give us cookies and chocolate and cake and..." Komachi trailed on about the delicious things that their principal might give them, and Shaikiria just tried to ignore her.
When the two finally reached the main office, they stepped into the principal's office. Mr. Toryamma, the principal, motioned to the chairs, instructing them to sit down. Komachi and Shaikiria then took their seats quietly.
"I just recieved a call," Mr. Toryamma began, "from Lady Ayeka, crown princess of Jurai."
Shaikiria turned angrilly to Komachi. "WHAT COULD YOU HAVE POSSIBLY DONE TO GET THE JURAI ROYAL FAMILY INVOLVED?!" She screamed loud enough for the majority of the academy to hear.
"But Shaikiria, I didn't do anything. Really, I didn't!" Komachi tried to save herself from Shaikiria's angryness.
Mr. Toryamma, startled by Shaikiria's "little" outburst, cleared his throat. The two girls immediately became silent and turned their attention back to their principal.
"Princess Ayeka requests that I give the both of you a special assignment. She said that two of our own detectives will train you for when you yourseleves become first-class detectives," he continued.
Shaikiria's face brightened up. "Recognition from the royal family! That's wonderful! I can't believe this is happening! (Especially since Komachi's my partner!) Wow!"
"Please stop interrupting me, Miss Heuro," Mr. Toryamma said sternly.
"Sorry sir."
"As I was saying, Lady Ayeka wishes that you be sent to the vacinity of the planet Earth. Why she would send you to such a deserted area such as that, I really don't know."
Shaikiria frowned; the thought of being sent to such a remote area like that wasn't really all that pleasing, but she kept silent.
"The two of you are to leave as soon as possible. Your homework will be sent to you on Earth. Good luck."
Komachi and Shaikiria both saluted and then quickly left the office. They made their way to their rooms in the next building to begin packing all of their stuff.

As Komachi opened a drawer and took out a few shirts, she noticed a photograph on the top of her dresser. She shifted her folded clothes so that she had a free hand. With that hand she picked up the photograph and studied it. The girl that stared back at her had big, blue eyes and wavy blonde hair tied up in a red ribbon. She was in an official Galaxy Police outfit, complete with the nice blue hat that sat on her head.
At a first glance, people would usually think that this was Komachi herself, but this was actually First-Class Detective Mihoshi of the Galaxy Police.
Komachi smiled as she looked at the photo. "Maybe this will be my chance to be like you, Mihoshi," she said. "I just hope I don't have to do something too terribly hard..."
