A Cold Winter's Day
By: Hope

A cold silence covered Washington Square Park as Gaia Moore walked in through the mini Arc du triomphe that was at the park's entrance. How many years ago had it been since Gaia had last seen this place? Years, no it had never been years, just a mere few weeks since she was in Paris with her father. But now she was back in New York City again, alone.

Gaia waved to Zolov and Mr. Haq as she walked past the chess tables. She doubted that they even saw her; they were probably too tuned into the game that they were playing. Gaia put her gloved hands in her pockets as she quickened her pace a little. It was still unusually chilly for this time of year but Gaia didn't mind, in fact she preferred the cloudy skies and the cold to the warm sunny days where she would have to wear shorts and show off her tree trunk thighs. But it didn't bother her AS much as before, it still bothered her but Sam liked the way she looked...her father was gone and Sam was the only one that mattered now.

Ed betrayed her. Uncle Oliver betrayed her. Her father betrayed her. Then her father left and betrayed her again. Hell, the only person that had actually come clean with her besides Sam was Ella! The one that Gaia hated most in the world (besides Heather Gannis!) was the only one that could possibly understand her. But she was dead now. Ella was dead like Mary. Both Mary and Ella's bloodstained the snow the same way that her mother's had…

Don't think about them…they're gone, all you have now is Sam. Gaia thought sadly although she hadn't even seen Sam or talked to him since she left for Europe. And while in Europe she wrote him the worst love letter in history and still hadn't gotten anything back…

"I'm all alone again…" She finally said to herself as she walked out of the park.
