Author's note: This is my first attempt at songfic, and whether it is a good attempt or not, I leave up to you.  But I love this song, and if you've never heard it, it's worth getting the soundtrack for.

"Come back…come back, Evy, come back."  It was all I could say.  It was all I could think.  She had slipped away from me, leaving me alone.  I couldn't imagine my life without her in it, without her near me.  I was ready to lie down beside her and die along with her.

She was my light.  She was my breath.  When we were apart, no matter how large or small a distance, I found I couldn't breath, I couldn't think.  I needed to be near her, like I needed air.  But then she would come home to me, and I could breath again.  But I still couldn't think… She overwhelmed me in such a wonderful way I could never have imagined love to do to someone.
